I don't normally do tag games, but I got tagged in this twice (by @jealous-kippen and @remmixx, my beloveds <3) so here I am! (also as I'm writing this out I am realizing that while both posts were titled the same way, it looks like they had different question prompts??? So I'm just gonna combine the two)

Favorite Color: Purple! Any shade will have my heart but I am partial to more red-toned purples. (PV, if that means anything to anyone who sees this other than me, you know who you are)

Currently Reading: Three things! In terms of actual books, I've been slowly making my way through the Riordanverse since my university did The Lightning Thief in my second year (first school in my state to do it once the rights were released!) since I somehow never got into Percy Jackson as a kid, and I'm currently on Son of Neptune. I'm also one like my third or fourth re-read of Eurydice by Sara Ruhl, since that's the play I'm designing the costumes for for my senior project. And in terms of fanfic, I woke up to a notification about this yesterday and Actually Screeched.

Last Song: Dial Drunk by Noah Kahan (ft. Post Malone), which was a bit of an accident. I use siri to request music while I'm driving and I asked for Dial Drunk and was singing along until I got jumpscared by the slight difference before Post Malone's verse. Although if you look at my spotify, the ROTPL album has been on repeat for weeks.

Currently Watching (Series): I've been hyperfixated on ROTPL and have watched it over a dozen times at this point, which is probably not healthy, so I put on NCIS last night for background noise while I ate dinner and accidentally watched like six episodes.

Currently Watching (Movie): Saw the Barbie movie the night before the actual opening with my coworkers (We don't cross picket lines people! I was not asked nor invited by any company, and I paid full price for my ticket. There's a one-screen theatre in the town where I'm doing summer stock, this relic from the 50's, and they were able to get access to the film a day early and did a special first come first serve premiere.) and we all sobbed the entire way through.

Current Obsession: Rise of the Pink Ladies. Full stop. I'd seen clips of it when it first aired in April but I was iffy on it in spite of how good it looked. Like most, I'm a little tired of reboots and remakes, and while I did clock Cynthia as being queer within two seconds, (I believe my exact words were "That's either a very butch lesbian or the eggiest egg to ever egg.") I was Convinced it was a queerbait situation. Plus I was nearing finals and didn't have time to get into a new show. But then Crushing Me was trending on tiktok and I realized this was not queerbait, so I put it on to have something playing while I packed for summer stock and it's been the only thing I can think about since mid May. It got me writing fanfic again for the first time in years, if that tells you anything. Speaking of,

Currently Working On: A follow-up to my previous fic, Steady, Steady! I wanted to have it up this week, but it is a behemoth. I'm a little over halfway through my plot outline and I'm at 10,441 words. Fun fact, this will be my longest single-chapter fic so far. Not just in the fandom, not just on AO3, but ever (so far!)

I don’t know if I’m late to the party here or anything, but I was just re-reading the pjo series and I Sea of Monsters the first time Percy meets the Laistrygonians he asks Annabeth for an easier name to call them and she says “Canadians.”

I just realized that Percy calling the Laistrygonians “Canadians” is Son of Neptune was a callback to Annabeth calling them that in Sea of Monsters. I thought he was just making fun of Frank.

im re reasing all te h pjo books hoo and toa too im in teh middle of the lost hero and i read these books years ago ok i forgot half the things i didnt know quintus was daedulas or that they met haphaestus in teh book or that tyson and grover went on their own little quest together adn its slowly coming back and i just rmemebered. zeus had two kids with teh same woman in his greek and roman forms. i. i also haven't read son of neptune when i was reading the series for teh first time i decided to skip it because tower of nero was supposed to come out pretty soon and i had to coemplere hoo + toa in time to get to read tower of nero as it was released and i ended up finishing 3 hoo books and 4 toa ones before the release date anyway. in like. a month i inhaled those books and i am now i had gforgotten how much i liked them yes i'll admit it isnt the best tsorytelling but it gives me nostaligia the goo dkind and im just so. overwhelmed i lvoe these books if not for the storytelling for being the only thign getting me through being 11-14 i rememnr i used to curl up adn read them all day and then i wen tot pinrteret adn thus wwent on to become a pinterest tumblrina and then acn actual tumblrina wow

We probably won't get a visual cameo from Reyna or Hylla, because if/when we get to 'Heroes of Olympus', we may need a re-cast because of ages or availabilty, so audio is probably easier.

Now, I have some thoughts on seasons in the far future, like 'The Last Olympian' onwards.

Because 'Heroes of Olympus' and 'Trials of Apollo'  each take place in less than a year, aging will be a problem for the actors. One solution, if they've got the green light in time, could be to film multiple seasons at once. That is, to start filming 'The Lost Hero' and 'Son of Neptune' whilst still filming 'The Last Olympian'  because 'The Lost Hero'  is mostly Jason, Piper & Leo's quest, so that portion doesn't need 'The Last Olympian' 's cast, and the only thing stopping them from filming 'Son of Neptune' is that they need Percy for large portions of it. Basically, I want them to do something similar to how 'The Lord of the Rings' .

They could even start filming 'Trials of Apollo' whilst filming 'Mark of Athena', just skipping the bits which have cameos from Heroes of Olympus'  until the actors are free!

Ofc, this is assuming the season's approved, actors cast and scripts are all ready on time.

Ok, so recently, I've decided to change my mind about the idea of the Two King Neptunes being the Same Guy or Not so my brain randomly chose them to be the same dude since tbh, I actually do really like the idea of Mindy and Triton being siblings to each other (which is something that I've would've already accepted) but I just figure to make some changes around my AU (even for that, I also had updated the re-written version of my personal take on Sponge on The Run). Truth be told here, but considering that I actually really love to ship PoseidonXAmphitrite a lot, I personally love the version where they have Three Daughters and One Son. Though most people seem to remember the one son as the Daughters thing was a little edition in some poems. I know for a fact that somewhere Nickoldeon actually wanted to went for their version where it's just One Son and One Daughter but I've decided to go through the Third Version that I'm most familiar with so I gave Mindy and Triton their own Other Sisters (originally I was gonna go for the idea of Two Sons and Two Daughters as Brothers and Sisters but I've later decided to scratch that idea and went for the One Son and Three Daughters version instead). Introducing Princess Isabelle and Princess Ruby (the Eldest Sisters of Prince Triton and Princess Mindy). Considering that Mindy's name is closest to "Benthesikyme" as a Modern Name, I'd figure why not give the Sisters their own Modern Names closest to Mythological names (like "Isabelle" from "Kymopoleia" and "Ruby" from "Rhode"). Isabelle is a pretty popular girl around the Kingdom who's always determind and speaks her own mind like an Actual Goddess despite the fact that she can be a little bossy and sassy but she's very well polite meaning-full to her own Personality. She doesn't mind all Sea Creatures (especially the ones from the Bikini Bottom) but considering that Mindy is chosen to be Future Queen of their Father's Kingdom, Isabelle thinks that she should rule over since she talks smart-like most of the time. Ruby is a Well-Mattered and Supportive Sister of her Siblings, she does love to do any sorts of Teen stuff and even likes to find Treasure around in the Sea. Generous as Hell but also Compassionate like their Younger Sister (Mindy), she never wants to put up a fight as she gets a little scared of her Father's Temper, but still loves him regardless. While I’m writing my Chapter map plan for a Son Of Neptune re-imagining I’d like to drop one of my favorite character interactions.

For context I’ve made a powers post on my hc on how Camp/Romans in Pjo in general view powers (one day I shall make a master post(?) linking too everything) and like yeah.

But there’s one scene after the storming of the war games and stuff. Like fresh victory where Dakota gets to rush Percy and grab his face and like jumping while shaking Percy a little and being like, “you idiot! You crazy genius idiot! That was amazing” (not actual dialogue) while the cohorts are celebrating. Of course then Gwen’s just like dying in the background but I really liked that character interaction.

Along with that if I remember correctly there’s one in the re-imagining after Mars’s whole spiel where Octavian and Reyna are bickering because Octavian needs to get the prophecy Mars delivered them (because the like connection cut off and Mars aidiaofnwjaiaons and was like ‘augur do the thing’ so Octavian can like have a purpose and it like- does stuff-? Idk) and it’s both of them like arguing to each other between the stuffed animal because Reyna needs this quest to be viable so the senate can authorize it while Octavian’s yelling about how he can’t just magically get the prophecy.

Also this is my part to slide in and. I’m reading burning maze! It’s… fun. I don’t like Piper’s writing (I never did, I always found her slightly obnoxious or annoying and that’s just my opinion. I like Piper as a like concept and character but just not how’s she’s implemented) but I was reading and remembered Katropis and it brought something up in my head. It was Helen of Troy’s knife apparently, so she could like see the outside world while she was locked in Troy. Now, this obviously isn’t myth accurate (I don’t expect it to be) but it also like? Helen got full wanderings to just kinda vibe, she points people out from the walls to Priam in the beginning; she’s not like Rapunzel. Or at least in all of the versions I’ve read/heard. So, this is my Katropisreallyannoysmesoimreimaginingkatropis concept.

Katropis was Cassandra’s knife. Cassandra is the silly little priestess of Apollo princess of Troy I believe who like future powers and stuff and stuff. Idk the point is, it’d make more sense for Cassandra; a powerful priestess and someone who can see the future and interpret omen, prophecy, etc. to have the ceremonial dagger that can show you stuff? That’s just my thought. Also like Trials of Apollo that’d be interesting or fun or whatever.
