Horse Bits in RDR2

I’ve noticed there are 2 types of bits used in red dead 2, the basic saddles have a single joint snaffle and the improved & special saddles have a tom thumb bit

Single Jointed Snaffle

Not a very harsh but compared to the other, but the single joint means there is still more pressure than a double jointed snaffle

Tom Thumb

Quite a harsh and controversial leverage bit that can be very very harsh on the top of the mouth if used wrong, as it rotates as the reins are pulled, red dead riders seem to just yank on the thing

The horses don’t react differently to the different bits in any way but I thought it was cool that the developers took the time to detail the bits with rust and joints
