Sunlight crept through the flimsy, thin curtains, its rays scanning across the hardwood floor as the clouds loomed calmy over the ship. Dark grey bed sheets creased and shook at every move, two pairs of feet poking out from the end, while a slight breeze tiptoed through the crack under the door.

A displeased huff tickled the back of your neck at the same time as your eyes squeezing tighter in hope the salvage the last lick of sleep your body would allow.

"Stupid sun," Zoro grumbled, shifting his body closer towards yours in desperation; the tip of his nose grazing the hairs on your neck, nuzzling into it, "Woke me up... too early." He continued to mutter, earning a sighed laugh to slip from your early morning, chapped lips . This alone seemed to perk the man's mood up, feeling his muscular arms reach out to hold your waist comfortingly, his thumb rubbing across the clothed skin.

"Mornin' Zoro." You hummed, relaxing your eyes yet keeping them closed. The bright light still threatens to blind you so early on.

"Mornin'. Y'alright?" Slowly, his thumb snuck underneath your loose sleep shirt, allowing him to rub the smooth surface while holding a subtle smile on his tanned face.

"Mm..." Swivelling yourself around, your closed eyes faced Zoro's, both of you to comfortable in the darkness your eyes provided, deeming it still too early to face the blinding sun's wrath just yet. With each second passing in rare found peace and silence, you broughts your hands up and loosely clasped them around his neck, your eyes still jammed shut yet you could almost picture his drowsy, lazy smile as he felt your hands on him.

"Zoro," You began, finally cracking your eyes open, "Zoro..." Your words trailed on, huffing at his teasing ignorance. "I know you're ignorin' me."

"Not ignorin' you if I'm asleep, babe." Smirking, his nose scrunching upwards slightly. "Can feel y'staring at me. Y'enjoy gawking at me?"

"Yeah." You replied, grinning when Zoro's eyes finally peek open to meet your half lidded gaze.

Zoro's breath hitched at the sight, despite the sun partially blinding him, he couldn't be more grateful for the angle you were in right now; the sun grazed your cheek, highlighting faint freckles (which were normally only visible in the summer time). Wisps of hair sprawled out on your pillow, which Zoro seemed to have invaded throughout the night, or stuck to your head, a movement away from slipping past your lips which would send you spluttering to get it out.

You looked erethal, like an angel.

At some point, you must've caught onto his shameless gawking due to your freckled cheeks growing pinker by the second.

"Now you're staring!" You exclaimed with a toothy smile, another thing that, no matter how many times he saw it, would always take Zoro's breath away. Your beauty had no bounds, even when you believed you looked horrid in the morning, describing yourself as a 'walking corpse' despite Zoro's scoffs in disbelief.

"Can't help it. Y'look nice, like this." Zoro grumbled, his own cheeks now dusted in a red hue. Hesitantly, a rough finger met your cheek, brushing away the stranded hair close to your mouth and behind your ear gingerly. Despite his clear, uncomfortable state, Zoro's dark eyes never strayed from yours, his pupils wide, like a dog looking at its treats.

"W–Well, look at you being all sweet." You tease, a coy smile flickering on your face before it fell into an adored look of love, lips twitching upwards into a lovesick smile. "Thank you, Zoro." You whispered, cranning your neck forward to plant your chapped, morning lips onto the tip of his nose, earning a gruff from the man opposite you, trying to hide his delighted smile.

You had been babysitting Buggy's head lately, and the two of you had hit it off. Buggy flirted incessantly, and you returned the flirts just as much, to the detriment of the rest of the crew's sanity.

One day, you asked Buggy an interesting question.

"Can you feel your ... um. I'm not sure what to call it. The stump? Of your neck."

Buggy raised an eyebrow. "Well, yeah, it's part of my body, duh."

You were still curious about it. "It looks really smooth. Can I touch you there?"

Buggy tried to squirm away as you reached out for him. "Wha-- No!! That's weird!"

"Why?? Does it tickle or something? C'mon, let me touch!"

Buggy tried to hop back with the momentum of his head turning, but he ended up falling and presenting the stump to you. "Ah, shit," he muttered. "This is not permission! I'm simply in an unfortunate position! Lift me up, now!"

It was eerily smooth, the stump. So perfectly flat. Surely it felt like skin, but it looked rubbery? You wondered if it would feel slippery like a sting ray.

"You're doing a lot of not-helping right now," Buggy said, trying to roll and get a look at you, but he just managed to fall sideways and squish his cheek against the table. "Ow! Babe I'm serious, don't touch me there."

You inched forward, still sorely tempted by the wiggling mass.

"Hey-- HEY--" Buggy started shouting as your flat palm got closer to his neck stump. "WAIT WAIT WAIT--"

It was too late, you had already pressed your palm against him. It WAS slippery. And soft, but it had no give to it. Like touching, well, a stump of a tree, but it was... flesh. It was quite possibly the strangest thing you'd ever touched. Then you realized that Buggy had gone silent for once.

Buggy was biting his lip, hard, eyes squeezed shut. You blinked and pulled your hand away, which caused him to release his breath and open his eyes. "Okay, you've had your fun, now get me up."

"What does it feel like?" You asked, still ignoring his request.

"If I answer, will you PLEASE set me upright?"

"Yes."

Buggy searched for the words. "It's like... I have a wound, and someone pushed their hand inside of it and felt around. But it doesn't hurt. Just feels... super unsettling." He shuddered, remembering the sensation. Buggy waited for you to pick up his head and replace it on the table, but you weren't moving to do so. "...Babe?" he said tentatively. Then he gasped involuntarily when you set two fingers against his stump. "C'mon, you promised--" he was cut off by another gasp when you slowly caressed it. "Baby, you gotta stop," he begged, getting slightly pink in the face.

"It seems like... you kinda like it," you say with surprise. "Is that true?" You run your thumb along the edge slowly. Buggy made a high-pitched sound and shuddered, growing pinker.

"N-No!" he said unconvincingly. But he let out a little moan when you ran your knuckles across the skin. Then he felt your hair tickle his neck as you got close, on your knees in front of the table. "Oh, God," he mumbled, sweating, and he swallowed hard.

You hesitated before you leaned in and breathed against his stump.

"Oh, God oh God oh God," Buggy kept mumbling, starting to pant.

You pressed a soft, slow kiss against the center of his stump.

"Ffff--Fuck--" Buggy said thickly, almost wheezing.

Then you licked it, a long stripe ending in another sweet kiss.

Buggy's tongue lolled out of his mouth as it opened wide with a strangled moan. "Ah--Babe--Please--" he cried, breathing shakily.

Suddenly, the doorknob squeaked. Buggy let out a relieved groan when you quickly stood and placed his head upright where it had been before. Sanji walked in with a smile. His smile faltered when he realized how heavily both of you were breathing, and he noticed your red faces and lack of eye contact. Sanji backed up to the door, opened it again, and left the room awkwardly.

"He knows!" Buggy hissed at you.

"As if he could ever guess!" You hissed back. "He probably thought we were just kissing!"

"Yeah, 'cause I get covered in sweat when I kiss somebody," Buggy spat back at you sarcastically. "Either he knows, or my reputation as a make-out magician has gone completely out the window."

You both sat in seething silence for a moment. "It did feel good though, didn't it?" you asked with a mischievous smile.

Buggy pouted and turned his head away as much as he could. "Once I get my body back, you're gonna wish you'd never tried anything."

"Don't threaten me with a good time. I'll do it again and more, just you wait."

Summary: in which the reader is chris’s best friend and goes to Hawaii with the triplets and madi but chris confesses his feelings when they’re alone on the beach.

Warnings: as always profanity is used, reader is for sure female in this one bc it was written for my close friend! happy birthday cayse!! <3

You couldn’t get over the beautiful sun and the pretty clear blue water.

It almost felt like you were in a movie.

“You good?” chris asked you from the water.

You and madi were comfortably sat in beach chairs under an umbrella because you were both literally being cooked by the sun.

“Yes, i’m great.” you laughed, sending him a grin.

He laughed in response walking up to the shore and towards your chair.

“Did you wanna get in with me?”

You were honestly baking in the rays of the sun and were completely ready to get into the water, you were just anxious as per usual.

“Yeah, it’s really hot over here.” You laughed, getting up to stand next to him.

“Did you want to come?” You turned around asking madi.

“No i’m gonna keep tanning for now.”

You nodded, walking towards Chris.

“C’mon, I don’t even know how you lasted this long, i’ve been roasting.” Chris chuckled, grabbing your hand and leading you to the water.

You watched in awe as the crystal clear blue waves washed over your legs and upon the shore.

You silently admired nic and matt splashing around in the water a few feet away, and madi soaking up the sun, still in her chair.

“It’s so pretty out here.” You gushed, turning to your side and looking up at chris with your squinted eyes.

“Honestly I haven’t ever seen a beach this pretty, i’m so glad you agreed to come. I would’ve been so bored without you, y/n.” chris spoke.

“Are you joking? it’s been one of my dreams to come here, I can’t even believe madi asked me to come!” You smiled at him.

“I don’t think any of us would want to be here without you, are you kidding? You’re so fun. Madi loves you, and you’re honestly my emotional support friend so I couldn’t have come without you.” Chris spilled, sending you a genuine smile.

“I’m glad, you’re mine too.” You blushed, hoping he wouldn’t notice the color change on your cheeks.

“Have you ever thought about maybe being more than friends?” He blurted quietly, avoiding your eyes at all costs.

“You mean like, us?”

“Uh, yeah.”

“Definitely have, I just know in the past you’ve said you weren’t really ready to commit to anyone.” You spoke softly, meeting his eyes that were currently squinting due to the sun.

“Well you aren’t just anyone, so…”

You felt a smirk pull on your cheeks as you looked up at him.

“Yeah?” You snickered.

You noticed his cheeks instantly get 2 shades pinker than they already were.

“I mean, Yeah. I just said that.” He chuckled, looking away at the approaching waves.

You moved closer to him, leaning in to kiss him on the cheek.

“So was that you trying to ask me out?”

“Uh yeah, that’s kinda all I had as a proposal to that idea.” He laughed, turning to meet your eyes once again.

“Well then yes chris, i’ll be your girlfriend.” You grinned, picking up his and and walking further into the water.

You both comfortably enjoyed the silence, and you could feel his hand sweating before you guys hit water that went above your waist.

“So how much do you wanna bet they’ve been watching the whole time?” He questioned, referring to his brothers and madi that weren’t too far behind you.

You looked back, noticing the lot of them wearing shit eating grins staring directly at chris and yourself.

You waved as a giggle made it’s way out of your mouth.

Chris copied your actions, following it up with flipping them all off.

“So can we go eat now that your little moment is over?” Nic shouted.

“Yeah, i’m hungry!” Madi shouted, standing in water just above her ankles.

You held back a laugh and dragged chris out of the water with you, staring the three of them down with an amused look on your face.

“Didn’t know if he’d actually be able to do it.” Matt snorted, grabbing his towel off of his beach chair.

“Fuck off.” Chris retaliated, smacking him with his own towel.

“Well I guess you got your answer.” You replied.

“I literally did not think this kid would ever spill his fucking guts, I was genuinely starting to get irritated waiting.” Nic ranted.

Madi laughed beside him.

You guys packed up your stuff, lugging it to the car before deciding to go pick up food at a local restaurant and bring it back to the house you were staying in.

You fiddled with chris’s hand the entire car ride home, watching the scenery outside of your window and silently expressing your gratitude for Hawaii being what brought the two of you to finally confess your mutual feelings.

That night after you all returned you laid in bed with a soft smile on your face, thinking about chris as you drifted off to sleep.

Arthur fluff, ~480 words

It was a late start to the day, but Arthur supposed that was simply the price of being an author. After a mighty stretch, he braved the hallways to procure some coffee.

Gleaning from the sun rays filtering in through the windows, he reckoned it must be a bit past noon. A smile graced his face, knowing she would be in the kitchen at about this time. A chipper hum flowed through him.

Taking a brief pause just before his entrance, Arthur’s smile grew wider as he heard the quiet shuffle of feet beyond the door. He froze then, becoming even more grateful that he’d taken the time to listen in.

Within the kitchen, her voice took up a small tune; she was singing the very tune that he had finished just a moment before.

♪ “Goodbye Piccadilly, farewell Leicester Square~ It’s a long, long way to Tipperary, but my heart’s right there.” ♪

There was a strange flutter in his chest, followed by a warmth he’d long grown disaccustomed to. Had the two of them been on the same wavelength? Arthur found himself liking the idea of that. Why, he’d liked that idea far too much.

Not so fond of the idea of waiting any longer, Arthur made a far more excited entrance than he’d initially planned.

“Why, I didn’t know you were a songbird! You should have told me, luv,” Arthur’s lilted voice made her jump, but she turned toward him with a shy smile.

“You’re waking up rather late today,” she teased.

“A writer’s work is never done, I'm afraid. We simply rest our eyes for a few hours here and there until we can fuel up on coffee made by beautiful morning birds.”

Her cheeks were determined not to grow any pinker, but it was a challenge. She brought up a cup and began brewing.

“Speaking of…” Arthur stifled his enthusiasm as he broke the brief silence. “I would have thought the only music you and I would both know would be one of Wolfie’s. I’d never imagine you’d know It’s A Long Way to Piccadilly.”

She chuckled, “I’m actually pretty sure Mozart’s pieces are the only songs we both knew.”

Arthur blinked, puzzled. “But you were just singing it word-for-word?”

Her eyebrow raised as she wrapped up her coffee preparations. “Arthur, you sing that song practically every day. I’ve picked up the words pretty quickly from it,” she giggled. “I used to think it was just when you were at your happiest, but really it’s just all the time,” she grinned, handing over his cup.

Bugger me... There went that damned fluttering again.

“No, luv, I think you were spot on. I think the amount of happy days have simply grown exponentially as of late.”

“Oh? Well that’s good!”

Arthur nodded, the warmth within him threatening to combust. “I think so, too.”

hi if its alright with you can I please ask your stage gif process 🩵 (I don't mind if its not too detailed but if you use vapoursynth or topaz or anything)

hiii! omg thank u for wanting to know 🥺🥺 i actually use two methods, depending on the source file (and how lazy i feel). either vapoursynth or mpv. i'll show u both!

long, the example gif has a flashy background, somewhat clear. i hope.

i source from .ts files on k24hr or twitter, fancams, and then the youtube version (which i then run through handbrake before vs or mpv) if there's absolutely no other choice. i try to avoid show music core because its backgrounds make sharpening hard, but i'm using one from there for this tutorial :) i will also use beyond live / blu-ray files when available (i.e. 4th world tour gifs i did of twice)

vapoursynth:

-> only use the deinterlace (60 slow) when it's 1080i 30fps! i use this on files from k24hrs. if the file is already 60 fps (i.e. those from srghkqud on twitter), i don't deinterlace or preprocess. i use finesharp on .7 any time i use vs!

this gif is 268 x 520 px! i leave the delay at .02 and set frame rate to 60fps. on the left, it is just changed to 60fps and run through vs with the above settings. the gif on the right is sharpened!

i change my sharpening settings on every stage (and most other sets as well)! i use an action, and then adjust by the background and quality of the source! this is using my stage sharpening - but i have removed a smart sharpen and reduced opacity of other filters i use on different (clearer) files!

show music core has these really visible leds in their background, so sharpening it tends to be harder! i avoid using my 500px smart sharpens when it looks like this, and use high pass and bigger radius smaller amount smart sharpens!

sharpening settings for above: 8.0 high pass on soft light blending (40% opacity), 241 .2 smart sharpen (60% opacity), 15 15 smart sharpen (50% opacity) i should also note that on really really pale stages, i use camera raw filter to fix whites / highlights before i add the other sharpening! this does really slow down export time and can be frustrating, so i reserve it for then!

then i color! sometimes i use ezgif (which hasn't lowered quality that i've noticed) to adjust the speed, if i feel it needs it! this gif has a fine speed so i've left it as is, but i normally speed up gifs by 120% on their speed feature to make the choreo look a little faster!

my coloring focus is always restoring skin, everything else is pretty much purely stylistic. i try to leave colors in the background the same! i do really like making blonde hair pinker or more toned (since they're often yellow, i always make a point of essentially toning their hair for them - i.e. tsuki in dang! set)

when i color the rest of the set, i keep the first gif open next to it to make sure everything matches! i normally copy and paste the coloring group and adjust as needed :D

also, i check how it looks in tumblr on desktop + mobile, since web safe colors adjust the look of your gifs a lot (the ones with the little dots in the middle are web safe, everything else isn't) and try to fix what doesn't look quite right. i also ask my friends if something is wrong but i'm not sure what (mainly nini (@withyouth) so shout out to her for putting up w/ me, a big part of the stage gif process)!

mpv: -> i press 'd' and make sure it is deinterlacing (again, only 1080i ones get deinterlaced)! and then i screencap. i followed this guide on setting up mpv, and always use minimal compression settings for everything i screencap.

-> i turn my files into dicom files (you can just rename them on mac, on windows it is multistep) and then scipt->load multiple dicom files (faster than loading image into stack and, in my opinion, clearer too)!

for windows: -> alt+d in your screencap folder, cmd. enter. type ren *.* *.dcm into the window. enter. close the command window!

i make my frame animation + frames to layers. once it is on the timeline, i go ahead and crop before i do anything else. i tried to make the cropping like the vs gif, but it's not identical!

sharpening: since i didn't use finesharp, i can add more in ps. this is my normal stage sharpening with nothing added or removed!

i normally use mpv, but sometimes i don't feel like waiting on the screencaps, or i think finesharp will add texture + depth that the original doesn't have (too smooth of a filter, whatever) so i use vs! my taeyeon mr. mr. and le sserafim rock ver. sets were both done via vapoursynth, though the sharpenings are different from each other and what it shown here (i change sharpening a lot, and sometimes by set... sorry.. KJHDFGJKH)!

Hello, this is Eddie's POV from the microfic I posted earlier this month and goes slightly further than that one! The Smell of Autumn (Same rating/theme, just Steve's POV)

The illusion about the deeper part of the forest is that even in the middle of the daytime, it feels like another world.

Closed off to everyone else, just you and the birds and whatever little critters are around, the sun shining like a hot lamp through the trees – and Eddie's just a lizard on a cool autumn afternoon, soaking up the rays. He thinks he could curl up on a rock and have a nice afternoon nap.

But once in a while, people do come through here. His little coniferous sanctuary is dispelled, and he's glad he wasn't actually sleeping, on a walk instead, able to be on guard.

He'd been restless – out of smokes until he could bum one or until his next sale tomorrow – feeling kind of weird and lonely now that everyone's talking about college and he's once again condemned to the kinds of failure that only fat stacks of cash or a GED could turn around.

So a nice walk through the forest to ease the crawling pressure inside was exactly what he needed.

Though now, standing just off the path, as he stares at Steve Harrington's naked shoulder, peeking out from behind a thick pine tree, he has to wonder if the pressure had just been fate pushing him along.

The guy doesn't look embarrassed, though he does look sheepish, and it's such an attractive look on someone he's only seen looking humble with a black eye that he gets a little closer.

"Uh," he says, starting things off with a real eloquence. "Hello?"

He's thinking; maybe this is some kind of prank on Steve, maybe a dare? Streaking through the forest, right?

But Steve just shrugs, his smile getting sweeter, cheeks turning pinker, and he moves. Eddie can see that he really is au natural, able to follow the naked line of his thigh up to his shoulder – and he seems to be showing off a little, despite hiding the goods.

"Hello."

"You okay?" He asks, because he wants to be more sure about whatever he's about to do.

Steve nods, and Eddie realizes with the stiff movement of his torso that his arms are locked behind his back.

He'd already been getting hard, a perfectly reasonable reaction to seeing a hot guy naked in the forest, but the added bondage of it all gets him dizzy, his dick thick and heavy in his pants in a way that Steve immediately clocks.

"I'm great," Steve says, and steps out from behind the tree, his own dick just as hard as Eddie's. "Are you…?"

He trails off, and Eddie doesn't want to leave room for doubts, so he steps closer, the sun's warmth feeble in comparison to the way Steve makes him feel like he's in a hot bath.

"Yeah, I am," he says, and Steve steps out into the sunlight where Eddie can see that his arms aren't even tied, he's just holding them there, all self obedient.

“Great,” Steve says, and gives himself over to him.

i also withdrew my yarn from the storage shed. i ordered new hooks and amigurumi eyes and a project bag, all of which came in today, so i was able to go through and re-roll some yarn that had come undone. and i checked into the size of the chenille yarn spools i have, and i also started on a blanket for my mom. so it's really wide and i wish i didn't make it that big but here i am.

i also ordered more woobles; i ordered them the other day. and i pulled out the ones i had in my yarn bag so i can make those ones too. i wanna make little bunnies for easter. i dunno why. i just do.

i also bought a few patterns off etsy so i can make those too. they're more advanced patterns.
