Raw Vegan Pizza by #RawChefYin. I know I say I'm not really into pizza but I guess if it's raw vegan, I like them. Was in the mood to make pizza today so here's what I did: — 🍕PIZZA CRUST Zucchini Walnuts Pumpkin seeds Water Calamansi lime juice Hemp hearts from @organiculesuperfoods Flaxseeds from @bobsredmill Thai basil, daun kesom, mint This was dehydrated in my @excaliburdehydrator. I had left over thai basil, kesom and mint from the Vegan Laksa class so figured I'd just add it in. Hence the green looking crust, haha! Does it look scary? — 🍅TOMATO SAUCE Tomatoes Sundried tomatoes Red chilli Salt Coriander — 🧀CHEESE Basic fermented cashew cheese - I teach these at my popular raw vegan cheese classes — 🍅TOPPINGS: I had some lovely cherry tomatoes thanks to @everleafstoremalaysia so I cut them into half and dehydrated them Pink cabbage strips, dehydrated Fresh Thai basil leaves Super yummy! Mr Jazz Guitarist loved it, especially the green crust. Not sure what to call it but I guess it can be a Superfoods Bar by #RawChefYin? Have been wanting to make one of those salted caramel chocolate bars by @avantgardevegan but I still had my salted caramel sauce and also rawtella in my fridge so I decided to use that up instead. For the base, I also had some ground pumpkin seeds which was supposed to go into another recipe so I used that as a base, added some hemp hearts and baobab powder from @organiculesuperfoods, plus water and agave to bind them all together. Added on the caramel sauce, place in freezer to set, then the rawtella layer and then added walnuts, pistachios on top. Sprinkled organic marigold tea from @tais_choice_kitchen delivered by @everleafstoremalaysia. Nom nom nom. Actually Mr Jazz Guitarist ate most of it. No onion, no garlic Thai Green Curry by #RawChefYin. Since some of my students like @tessa_yeo and Catherine don't consume onions or garlic, I decided to try making my Thai Green Curry recipe without them. 🌶️🥕 It still tasted great!! Yayy😀😀😀 What's your take on onions and garlic? To eat or not to eat? I remember speaking to @jemlao about this 2 years ago and his advice was to avoid the 5 pungents. I'm currently torn as I love the taste but some of the research I did today did point towards avoiding garlic... I can't believe it's Raw Vegan Nigiri Sushi!🍣🍣🍣 - No fish were harmed here.🐠🐟 - Have been wanting to make these since I bought @sayuri_healing_food book "Sayuri's Raw Food Cafe" last year and only finally found time to do so yesterday and today. - Everything is made from scratch! - 1️⃣Teriyaki "Eel" is actually nori with cashew cheese slathered in a homemade teriyaki sauce and dehydrated in my @excaliburdehydrator 2️⃣Mango slices 3️⃣ Coconut "squid" was marinated overnight in a fishy nori marinade 4️⃣ The salmon one is actually @shisodelicious recipe, see previous post to find out the actual ingredients I used in my version 5️⃣Pickled Ginger 6️⃣Sushi rice is made from jicama and pine nuts Sayuri's book has the recipes for 1, 3, 5 and 6 so do check it out. I also attended Sayuri's class on making cooked nigiri sushi at this year's @baliveganfestival and applied the techniques I learnt to make this. Plus I watched a bunch of YouTube videos as well to learn more about the technique of shaping the rice. So yup, this is the result. Pretty pleased with it as it's my first time making them. Bento Box by #RawChefYin. Most of it is raw, only the cauliflower rice is cooked. - I've been following @shisodelicious and her @bentoparty account for some time and love all her creations. Lemon-Lime Squares (raw vegan) by #RawChefYin. 🍋 - I've had lots of requests to make raw vegan desserts, so I was trying out a new recipe... This time am using coconut milk as part of the filling so it's not super heavy on the cashews. Gula Melaka Hemp Ice Cream by #RawChefYin.🍦 - At my recent TEDx talk, I spoke about making raw vegan ice cream with no cream. Instead, I used cashew nuts and fresh coconut flesh. There's no need for milk or eggs in ice cream, actually... - Today, I decided to make some. This time, it had the addition of organic hemp hearts from @organiculesuperfoods which gives it a superfoods boost. Protein-packed ice cream, which is raw vegan, creamy and delicious. I was extremely happy with the mouthfeel. The texture was exactly like traditional ice cream. I'm pretty sure if I didn't tell anyone it was vegan, they wouldn't have even know the difference. Thanks to the 100% natural @gulamelts coconut nectar, I got the authentic taste of Gula Melaka without any additives or colouring. - I grew up in a family that loved ice cream and we always had a tub of ice cream in our freezer. It's such a pity we didn't realise that it was filled with stabilisers, colouring, additives, milk solids - mainly bad stuff. No wonder my body was protesting in the form of eczema on my toes and fingers for 30 years. Hazelnut chia pudding with hazelnut cream (raw vegan) by #RawChefYin. Have been traveling so much and eating so much cooked food, body is really craving for something raw so I made this. Pumpkin Hummus In January this year, I decided to take a Vegan Thai Cooking class at @maykaideechiangmai in Chiang Mai because I wanted to learn more about Thai food from a Thai school, especially since I love Thai food so much.😋🥢 This is one of the recipes I learnt, which is really quick & easy.
