I can't believe it's Raw Vegan Nigiri Sushi!🍣🍣🍣 - No fish were harmed here.🐠🐟 - Have been wanting to make these since I bought @sayuri_healing_food book "Sayuri's Raw Food Cafe" last year and only finally found time to do so yesterday and today. - Everything is made from scratch! - 1️⃣Teriyaki "Eel" is actually nori with cashew cheese slathered in a homemade teriyaki sauce and dehydrated in my @excaliburdehydrator 2️⃣Mango slices 3️⃣ Coconut "squid" was marinated overnight in a fishy nori marinade 4️⃣ The salmon one is actually @shisodelicious recipe, see previous post to find out the actual ingredients I used in my version 5️⃣Pickled Ginger 6️⃣Sushi rice is made from jicama and pine nuts Sayuri's book has the recipes for 1, 3, 5 and 6 so do check it out. I also attended Sayuri's class on making cooked nigiri sushi at this year's @baliveganfestival and applied the techniques I learnt to make this. Plus I watched a bunch of YouTube videos as well to learn more about the technique of shaping the rice. So yup, this is the result. Pretty pleased with it as it's my first time making them.
