how would the brothers react to the huge amount of fans/admirers branch has? we saw a little of that in classical branch but what about the rest of the genres? i could totally see funk branch being swarmed like with lownote. tho i could see that for any branch tbh

Country: Branch commands a lot of respect, and his opinion is highly valued. It's less of a fan/admirer situation and more that he's a leader type and a shoe-in for the next sheriff. It's odd to see Bitty B, the BABY, calling the shots. I think Bruce and Clay in particular worry that he's too bossy or that he'd take after John Dory, but he's not.

Funk: Branch might not be Lownote but I think he has his fair share of admirers. Like Classical Branch, it's very alarming to them to be out in the city and see people watching Branch and talking about how cute/attractive he is. Especially since 'Bitty B' wouldn't have gotten that type of fanfare.

Techno: Branch has a lot of fans as a DJ. His playlists are created to dance perfection, each song flowing perfectly and allowing for the perfect lulls for breaks and each drop is at the ideal moment. It's as if Branch knows everyone's opinions on EVERY song and manages to space them out so everyone can cycle out their time between dancing and snacking/hanging out. This type of admiration is the least strange to the brothers, as it's close to performing, but at first they don't get it. "He's just pressing buttons on a table? It cant be that hard." Cue literally every techno troll swarming like sharks that DJing is an art that takes years of practice to work for the entirety of a rave.

So how would the tribes and their leaders react to the grey trolls?

Pacifically Delta Dawn,Queen Essence and King Quincy and Queen Barb.

I read from one of your posts that the grey country trolls were grey because they liked other music genres and were considered criminals resulting them getting kicked out of their home and if I'm not mistaken a few were kids?

How would they react to seeing Delta Dawn since she is mostly likely the one who made the decision.

The (some) funk trolls were researchers that were left behind so how will they feel when they meet Queen Essence and King Quincy,and how will those two react knowing how they became grey.

And how will Queen Barb react to the reasons the rock trolls left and became grey especially since one of them was deaf.

Pop: The Pop trolls try to welcome back the grey trolls with open arms. (They are so happy by the discovery of them Because friendship) Who for some reason aren’t to excited to come back? I wonder why.. (The grey trolls are way to scared of what the pop tribe is like they basically took a break from being “happy”like the others and now see how messed up everything is) The Pop tribe is determined to bring there colors back no matter what (I’m talking loud obnoxious parties, activity after activity, loooooonnnngg hugs that last for days, being braided to another troll who is supposed to be your fun buddy) but after a long time (and tons of reflection) they realize how messed up it all seemed. So they took it slow and let them just get accustomed to everything, a party or two a week and not a lot of loud noises (plus no more tying people together) gradually overtime the grey pop trolls are able to be in the village and not feel overwhelmed (a looooot of insecurity about being grey though)

Techno: Trollex welcomes all the Techno trolls who were lost, left or born in the grey tribe. (He was initially shocked but quickly relieved to find the missing trolls who have been gone for years!! Plus the new editions) He tries to help them as much as he can, ie fixing torn flippers, setting up a new foster system for future trollings, making sure to know who is here or missing every week, overall just trying to help with what he can to make them more comfortable (He didn’t do much wrong with the grey Techno trolls as some of the other tribes besides a few getting separated from the group by currents and no one noticing) but he tries to right whatever wrong there is…..and throw a few raves in their honor he is still a troll he will party. The grey Techno trolls greatly appreciate it and get along well with the other Techno trolls.

Funk: The absolute guilt the royal family has is insane!!! Not only did they leave behind a group of researchers, but they are the ones who asked for them TO BE THERE!!(they did go back and look for them but found nothing) they try to make amends and do whatever to help the trolls, the fact the trolls were grey because of them almost put them in an early grave. They start figuring out ways so that this situation would never happen again (I feel like trackers would be their best option) the grey Funk researchers are a little angry at the royal fam (I mean they left them so it’s a valid response) but they do forgive them on account of why they left (I’m going to say bird attack that forced them to get out of there quickly) and the fact they went back for them🥹 (the fam still does whatever to help like, making therapy a way bigger thing on the ship for others ) they also help the other grey funk trolls get accustomed to the ship and being around more trolls.

Classical: Trollzart would immediately put into action more ways for Symphony Ville to be more accessible for trolls who can’t fly, while also putting in ways for the classical trolls to get around more (I imagine they use walking cane or some form of wheelchairs to get around because like they have the bodies of literal BABIES?!?! Can they even walk on their own?!?) As for the other grey trolls they try to get accustomed to them, maybe put on performances where they show their sorrow and anguish, but also try their best to help them however they can.

Country: Oh boy… Delta is absolutely mortified by her actions. Not only did she kick out a couple of trolls from the flats (sooo much guilt) but they had kids while they were out there, kids who had to survive in the forest for years !!!( I hc that she absolutely loves kids!!) she tried her best to make what she did right (she’s been feeling guilty about it for years) the banished country trolls themselves hold a lot of resentment towards her. I mean who wouldn’t for what she did to them, but after months of holding the grudge and resentment and many many constant apologies and acts of kindness they eventually forgive Delta (there is still awkward tension between the three but they try to put it aside) Delta does absolutely whatever to fawn and show the kids love and kindness since she feels guilty about her being the reason they were grey to begin with. She also helps the other grey country trolls who either went too far away from the flats or got dragged away by predators and got lost cause of it. She tries her best to make amends for all the country trolls and their young. Now she tries to keep track of her people more and has grown a tolerance to all music. The grey trolls greatly appreciate all she does for them and their kids now. (I know I made Delta look like a bad person but this was in the past and to be fair she did lock up Poppy and Branch when she first met them sooooo… I do really love Delta though)

Rock: Barb was angered by the fact some of her people were in the forest surviving for years and grey!??!!! (She seems to be really insecure about being a leader this issue does not help her) she places a lot of guilt on herself because of this and does WHATEVER it takes to make things right!! So she implements a lot of mental health things (more therapy, rage rooms concerts about mental health) anything to bring awareness and to help. For the one deaf rock troll they go immediately to the funk trolls and soon enough hearing aids were made for the little rocker (by the way the deaf troll is like 8, i thought it would make it more angsty that a child left because they felt out of place.. and I was right!!! it makes it sooo much worse) Barb and the rock trolls basically bend over backwards to help their fellow rockers. The grey rockers greatly appreciate what has been done for them and how they got used to their survivalist antics.

headcanons of the troll tribes

•Funk

-Their ancestors used to have tails, but as they became more 'civilized' they began to lose their tails.

-They have claws but they prefer to file them since they do not use them and they are somewhat annoying for them.

-they have fangs and their bite is very strong, they will unconsciously show them when they get angry.

-there is no preference between using four legs or two.

-It is taught from adolescence to practice defense, never to attack.

-They will avoid a fight if possible, but if the other throws the first blow they will immobilize him.

-They are quite creative by nature.

-They have a good sense of smell and can distinguish someone by their smell.

-Sometimes they are very egocentric for letting many things be known.

•Country

-They use firearms and only the most trustworthy are taught to use them.

-They have enough resistance and strength.

-The sheriff is the unofficial leader more out of preference than anything else, but if they don't trust him they won't follow him.

-They have to control their strength with other tribes for fear of accidents.

-Never insult his tail or his hair, you will receive a strong kick if you do (do you have any idea how strong are?)

-It has claws but they are very short, they take more care of their hooves.

-They are quite loyal but it is difficult to gain their trust.

•Pop

-Good metabolism for sweet foods.

-They spend a lot of energy so they eat various desserts or fruits.

-When they fight they usually let themselves be guided by their instincts, sponging themselves a little to perceive more.

-They have claws and fangs, they make them notice when they have a strong emotion, sometimes it is unconscious.

-Their tail is similar to that of a lion, varying in length or fluffy, it is quite expressive and helps them maintain balance.

-They are very intense in their hobbies and that makes it difficult for them to accept those of other trolls.

-They are quite playful when they are little and that causes them to get hurt but gives them resistance as they grow.

-They growl when they are angry.

-They can see a little in the dark but not that much, just distinguishing someone from an object.

•Techno

-They can make their body light up or stop glowing completely to hide.

-They can see in the dark even if they are not used to the dark( at least not in the present).

-The techno have a history of encountering other hostile sea civilizations.

-Only a few can control water, it means they are somehow related to their ancestor.

-They have claws and their eyes will turn into slits when they are VERY upset.

-They have to be constantly active (raves), if not then they will become absent-minded and then somewhat aggressive.

-They have a monarchy and two second in command (one of them is bliss marina) from the towns somewhat far from techno reef.

-Only the trollex family can float on land because they are more attached to their string.

-Those who are born with hydrokinesis are educated to control it since they are somewhat dangerous, this generates a certain distrust of them from other techno.

•Classical

-They are very coordinated so they tend to be together often.

-If they feel in danger they will look for company.

-They have high standards depending on their manners and skills for certain instruments.

-They have a short, fluffy tail, with which they can feel the gusts of wind and fly better.

-They are quite resistant and fast with those wings.

-Their diet is based on vegetables and some fruits.

-They are brave and will go down fighting.

-They learned to 'let go' more when they met the other tribes.

-They use their music as a weapon but they can only use it and they have their string.

-They usually only have one child, more would be dangerous for their health.

-They don't usually admit when they can't handle something because of expectations.

•Rock

-When they are puppies they are playful and quite heavy.

-Sharp fangs and retractable claws.

-They resist high temperatures (that's why they live in a volcano).

-Their tail is like a cat's and twitches when they are defensive.

-They use heat as energy, and their city is sustained by the volcano.

-They are spiteful and somewhat stubborn.

-They often have secret hobbies as they may seem 'silly' or 'cute' to other rock trolls.

-They don't share their fears or worries because they don't want to appear weak.

-They are very aggressive when fighting, preferably using their claws

•In general

-They contain their own music that can be used as energy.

-The scars are white (like an absence of color).

-What happened to the ancestors is something that everyone knows (except the pops at the beginning) but ignores (like the elephant in the room).

-Poppy wasn't the only one given advice to be a better leader, Queen Barb was also 'reprimanded'.

-Everyone has a certain ability to shine but not everyone can use their hair like pop trolls do.

I've been playing around with this idea for a while and finally decided to make it a reality. Say hello to Wrasse! He's a country/techno troll inspired by the hippocampus: a half-horse, half-fish creature.

Some facts about him:

He is twenty six and lives in the shallow water close to the beach, enjoys swimming in tide pools

He has four dads! (bio dads split up and formed new relationships)

He wears his heart on his sleeve - literally! Wrasse's pixel heart beats proudly on their right bicep. It's why they primarily wear sleeveless shirts

They coated their mobility aid with glow-in-the-dark paint for raves and love to slap stickers all over it

Enjoys a good beach BBQ (has a similar taste to his country pa)

ALRIGHT, SO-

World Tour, where (please excuse my language) shit hits the fan, for real. My notes on this saga is hectic and convoluted, so I'll try to make some sense of it for this post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the askbox or my DM's, whichever you prefer.

I wanted to do bullet points for this, but maybe most Tumblr users prefer to read long paragraphs than bullet points, since my posts not having bullet points do better? IDK, I've only been on Tumblr for like, a year at best so forgive this soul for her cluelessness lol.

And also, depending on how much I've typed, I might have to split this saga into three parts, 'cause I know y'all don't actually want to read a really long post that took up three scrolls wide lol.

Anyway--let's start this crazy train.

So, the story begins the same way as it is in the movie--opening shot with Cloud Guy giving a quick recap about the first movie, and then the next shot panning towards the Techno Trolls (ay, Branch's tribe, let's go!). Unfortunately, the amount of screentime (or appearance in this case) they got here minimal, since we're focusing on Branch and co.

But anyway, same thing happened, King Trollex hosting the rave, Barb barges in demanding his string and destroyed Techno Reef to get him to comply, same old. Poor guy, honestly, he just wanted to vibe.

Next shot pans to Pop Village, same thing there. Everyone is smiling and singing and dancing (with Techno!Branch joining in, look at that! Since he can't extend his hair like everyone else, he relies on acrobatics and just generally hang onto someone ((mostly Poppy)) whenever they swing on the trees with their hair). Branch tries to confess his love to Poppy, but got friendzoned unintentionally by her (ouch). Then Barb's bat pet thing comes in, and King Peppy's history lesson.

They're not the only ones here in this world. There are other trolls out there; Pop, Hard Rock, Classical, Country, Funk, and Techno.

This is where it gets interesting. At this point in time, Branch has all but accepted that he's possibly the only Troll in the village that looks the way he does. That he's the only one that ever existed in the world. It's why he and Cooper has a sort of closer bond with eachother in this AU : different Troll (tribe, but not that they knew this yet) solidarity. Sure, he was curious once, like how come is egg was in the Troll Tree, why does he look different, ect. But now he's more than content with his current predicament. He has friends now, something to look foward to; he was happy, after so long.

But now with the news that there are other Trolls out there, different from the rest, his past yearning came back to life. And while King Peppy hadn't said it outright, his lack of words all but confirmed Branch's suspicions. That he's not the only one out there. And from what he saw in the scrapbook, he can pinpoint which one of the tribes he supposedly belongs to; Techno.

Then we cut to when Poppy packs up to leave and got caught by Branch. The same argument happens, with the addition of Poppy saying that because there are different Trolls out there, then shouldn't Branch be curious about them? Who knows, maybe there's a tribe that looks exactly like him! Branch refuted by saying that, even if there was a tribe just for him, how would he connect to them? He's been living as a "Pop Troll" his whole life, what connection can he form with these hypothetical Trolls (identity issues go brrr)? What if they found out that he's gone Grey for almost all his life? If the Pop Trolls, who has known him since he was born, didn't react well to his whole Grey-ness; what are the chances his own kind would react badly to the news? Or worse, reject him outright.

Before he could go on, boom! Cooper appears from the shadows and said something like, "That's not how you really think, ain't it Branch?". They were surprised he's there, and then they exchange some more dialouge sort of expressing Branch's concern about not fitting in with his hypothetical tribe out there, and shed some light on Coopers concern as well about wanting to find you who you really, and even if you don't fit in atleast you know the truth now, that sort of stuff. IDK, I'm not great at writing angst, lol.

Anyway, after some convincing from Poppy, Branch relented and decides to accompany her (even if he denies it, he wants to know if his people is out there). Cooper also wants to come along, and while Branch refuses for his own safety, Poppy allows it in the condition that he sticks with them at all times. So, the three sets of to explore the entire Troll Kingdom, to "reunite" all the tribes and make one big party at Queen Barb's World Tour.

Little did they know just what kinds of trouble they'll encounter on their journey.

Woah, plot twist, Cooper actually comes along instead of going on a solo journey this time around! He replaces Biggie in this! What a shocker! Shocked emoji!

Admitedly, while it's funny the first time, Cooper's solo adventure is... I don't wanna be too rude about it, but it's sort of unnecessary in the big run? I mean, not entirely unnecessary, but like, if you remove that and just have him go along with Poppy and co., nothing major would change. He'd still be reunited with his family in Vibe City, except this time he'll have a first time reaction to the history of the Strings and see the truth of it, y'know what I mean?

But anyway, Poppy, Branch and Cooper's gonna explore the world of other genres. I don't think much will change with his inclusion, but the reactions will be far more varied, me thinks. Stay tuned for the next part, 'cause wow did not expect this part of the series to be so convoluted lol.

Also I had wanted to include some scene redraws from the movie with new implemented elements for this AU, but artblock is gripping me tight and college is starting soon, so I won't have much time to draw than I do write. So, yeah, hope y'all don't mind lol. I'll definitely do some artwork for this AU in the future though, believe it!

The Rynth Family

What happens when a lizard and a fish fall in love-

But here we have the Rynth family! One of my more crackier ships with absolutely no reasoning behind it, but eh, that’s what terminal shipping does to ya.

Synth and Riff met after one of Riff’s concerts. Barb, Riff, and the rest of their band came to Trollstopia to perform on day, and Synth was invited by Branch to come to the performance. Synth was absolutely blown away by the music, but most of all by the drummer. Just something about how incredibly fast he moved, even slamming his own face into the drums was just amazing! So after the concert, when Branch offers to take Synth to meet Barb and the band, Synth jumps on the opportunity.

Imagine Synth’s surprise when the drummer turns out to be Barb’s younger brother, and a Prince no less! Despite this, Synth walked right up to him and shook his hand, going on a long winded spiel about how amazing he found his drumming and how excited he was to meet him, so on and so forth. Riff was taken aback by the excitable techno troll, never having someone come up to compliment him specifically after a show. He shyly thanked him, keeping how he found the Techno Ambassador to be fucking adorable to himself, but did nervously asked to exchange contact info.

The two became fast friends after that night. Synth would call or text him and talk for hours, while Riff would just sit back and listen. After a few months of close friendship, Riff worked up the courage to ask Synth out on a date. Synth was over the moon about it, having started to crush on the Rock Prince himself, and the officially started dating. They hadn’t dated for an entire year before Synth couldn’t take it anymore and popped the question to Riff. Riff immediately said yes, and two were married.

After they wed, Riff moved to Trollstopia, since Synth had duties to fulfill full time as a Councilman. There were some bittersweet tears between Barb and Riff (and maybe Barb pulling Synth to the side and threatening him that if he ever hurt her brother she’d find him and end his entire existence), and Riff officially moved to Trollstopia.

Riff began working as a musical mentor for young trolls, teaching them about rock music and how to play it. It was a few years after they married that Synth found out he was carrying an egg, and the two became parents. And very quickly had two more in rapid succession lol

Riff and Synth love being dads, and raised their kids to appreciate all kinds of music. When Hatchet fell in love with country music, and began working on his own spin on it, the two were over the moon about it. When Hatchet decided to move to Lonesome Flats to pursue his career, the two were sad to see him go, but fully supportive of his dreams. When all three of their kids ended up taking on musical careers, becoming extremely successful super quickly, it was too much for the two. Just look at our babies! They’re so grown up and amazing, omg I can’t take this I’m gonna cry-

They currently still live in Trollstopia with their two youngest, Viper and Lantern, but they can often be found in Lonesome Flats visiting Hatchet or in Techno Reef attending Viper’s raves. They two own copies of all their kids records and show them off proudly to anyone who will listen for two seconds.

And that’s the Rynth fam! Very cheesy love story, but they strike me as a cheesy couple xP And this piece was actually the first one I made exclusively digitally! Super proud of it~

They’re kind of like next gen snack pack? I dont have a good group name for em yet tho

Birch: Poppy and Branch’s oldest, therefore making them the heir to Pop Village. As an overprepper, you can always find Birch stressing over the flow of the party rather than enjoying it(if she’s hosting that party in the first place). But despite his ability to prepare— or over prepare— for any situation, their responsibility is always thrown into question. So to test his responsibility, Poppy assigns her the task of befriending and teaching Buzz the Party Crasher how to be nice and get along with others— which proves to be harder than expected.

Buzz: Having heard of the previous group of runaways and how free they lived, Buzz tagged along with the new emergence of the Party Crashers. They were successful in their run of 7 years before the Country Trolls put a stop to their tricks during an attempt to crash their hoedown, which failed because they caught on to the scout fairly fast. Buzz had no significant position in the group but did manage to get everyone to stand their ground in refusing to go home. As Poppy has dealt with previous Party Crashers before, she volunteers to help with the Country Troll’s situation of 17-24 year olds refusing to even leave their jail. Buzz has a strong sense of leadership but poor strategic skills. She doesn’t back down from a challenge and tends to charge in without prior thinking. Shes described to be a tough shell to crack.

Demi: Despite his very pastel appearance, Demi is a very big fan of hard rock, but still proudly parades his classical side by playing the saxophone, his very first instrument. When not partying, singing, or hanging with his friends, he’s overworking himself through practice in true classical style. He maybe always on the verge of collapse after a particularly long and hard practice sesh, but he’s always sure to be on time for whatever event he’s promised to go to, never the type to cancel or skip out on plans. His rock side shines best when seated behind a set of drums.

Wheaton: A lot like his dad Milton, he’s very kind and gentle— to critters anyway. His social interactions with other trolls could be worked on, especially when he intends to go into the medical field. Like anyone on his maternal side, he’s very strong and passionate about his workout routine. Although he tends to forget his own strength. His best friend is and always will be his twin brother Mouse, but according to him you’d have to hogtie him and string up like a piñata in order for him to admit this to Mouse’s face.

Mouse: When he was 8, he went to his first rave after being invited to a birthday party by a classmate and ever since he’s been a big fan of techno. He combined both pop and techno together and calls it electro-pop. He’s pretty chill going until you mess with one of his friends. Wherein his strength will show along with the rare showing of his temper. He’s a hopeless romantic. Whether or not she really does improve, Mouse vows he will never trust Buzz even if she saves all of troll kind.

Groovy Flo: New to Pop Troll Village, Groovy Flo is half funk/glitter [pop] troll desiring the need to learn about the other side of her family. Although her true desire is to bring back disco, having taken a fascination with the extinct genre after reading up on them. While taking to the “old fashioned” way of baking without the assistance of funk technology very easily, she hasn’t mastered scrapbooking, much to her dismay. She claims her highly accurate memory is thanks to her hours of reading history books. She has a kid sister back in Funk City and misses her dearly, her baby sister being her “best friend in the whole known universe”.

Brynth:

Branch was walking down the market place, trying to find a perfect 5 month anniversary gift for his boyfriend, Synth. He looked around to see what kind of gift Synth would love. And he sees a lot of options to choose from. Like a glittery sea shell necklace that can glow in the dark. Or a new pair of headphones that can glow in the dark. Or a special locket that can glow in the dark. Pretty much anything what Techno Trolls would love that can glow in the dark. And there are so many ideas to choose from, that he can’t pick just one. He wants to find something that says, “Synth, I love you so much with all my heart, that I can never let you go”. He can’t decide what to get him and it’s causing him a lot of stress. So he went to Poppy’s pod to see if she has any ideas…

Poppy: Aww! It’s you and Synth’s five month anniversary?! Congratulations to both of you!

Branch: Yeah, yeah, we know. But…I’m having trouble finding him a present for him and I need some help

Poppy: Oh. Well, not to worry. Me and Holly are the best at giving gifts to everyone. Well help you

Branch: I thought Holly gives out bigger and more impressive gifts?

Poppy: The point is that her and I will help you! Come on! *grabs his hand and they went to Country Corral*

When they’re at Country Corral, Poppy explained to Holly what Branch needed help with

Holly: AWWW!!! It’s you and Synth’s five month anniversary?! *hugs Branch so tightly* I’m so happy for you guys!!

Branch: *groaning* Thanks, Holly. Now can you please let go, so I can breathe again? Because Country Corral is suddenly getting darker

Holly: Oh. *lets him go* Sorry, sugar

Branch: *panted* Thank you. Now, can you help me think of the perfect gift for Synth? I wanted to be extra special for him and I can’t mess this up

Holly: Well, of course, Branch. And I promise you that this gift will knock the colors right off his skin

Branch: Not literally, right?

A few moments later on picking the perfect gifts for Synth, Branch then dressed himself up all fancy like when they go to Dante’s dining area for their anniversary dinner. He placed the two presents in his hair and went inside to see Synth sitting patiently waiting for him

Synth: *sees Branch* Yo, Dubstep! Over here

Branch: *smiles and walked over and takes a seat* Hey, Synth. Nice tuxedo

Synth: *chuckles* Back at ya. Bonus on how well down you did your hair

Branch: Why, thank you. I’ve been trying my hardest to get this right *pushed his hair back but accidentally dropped a smaller gift*

Synth: *noticed* Hey, Dubstep? I think something fell out of your hair

Branch: Huh? *looked down and panics when he sees what kind of gift it was* 😨?! Uhh…*quickly grabs it and put it back in his hair* That was…nothing. But I do have a gift for you, but I don’t know when to do it

Synth: How about when we get our appetizer?

Branch: Sounds good

Branch and Synth waited for a moment when they ordered their appetizers. So while they wait, they just had some nice conversation

Synth: *chuckles* Wait. You have a son named, Gary?

Branch: Yeah. He’s a remote controller that helps me with my security system in my underground bunker. I always make sure he’s ok

Synth: Aww, Dubstep. That’s so cute. You’re such a good dad to your romote control son

Then their appetizers came in. They ordered fancy baguette slices and some dip along with their drinks. And once they’re able to find what to get, they ordered their meal. Branch ordered a fruit salad and Synth ordered some California roll sushi

Then their food came in when they put away their gifts, and they thanked their waiter, and started eating. Then after they’re done eating, Branch toke out the small box that fell out of his hair earlier without Synth looking. Inside was a pixelated heart wedding ring. He smiles and closed it up again and looked at Synth

Branch: *exhale* Hey, Synth? There’s something I want to say to you

Synth: Oh, yeah?

Branch: Well, we’ve been together for over five months, right?

Synth: Uhh…Yeah. That is the point of our five month anniversary

Branch: *chuckles* Yeah. Uh…Well, I just wanted to ask you something, that might give you a shock and might give our relationship a bit of a boost

Synth: Oh? Ok, what you want to ask me about?

Branch: *exhale* Ok *gets up and walk over to Synth and went down on one knee*

Synth: 😳?! Uhh…D-Dubstep? W-What are you…?

Branch: Synth, I love you very much and I want you to be happy. As well as being me being with you. So…*takes out the box with the wedding ring from his hair*

Everyone in the restaurant then noticed what’s happening and they all start to murmur in surprise

Branch: …*open the box and reveal the wedding ring* Synth, will you marry me?

Synth: *gasped* Dubstep *starts to tear up*

Branch: *starts to feel concerned about this* 😥

Synth: *sniffs* Yes! 🤩

Branch smiles and puts the ring on his finger. Then he stood up and they both kissed each other. Everyone else starts to cheer for their engagement which made them blush that they’re still in public. They don’t care, they just kiss each other again as they wrap their arms around each other. They both then looked at each other as they put their foreheads together

In Techno Branch AU World Tour, if anyone is curious, Branch alerts Trollex during their rave that his sonar equipment is picking up very large and very numerous objects moving towards the reef fast. His traps are slowing them down, but whatever they are they're barreling through them.

Branch showing Trollex this is why Trollex shuts 'One More Time' down in this timeline, and his traps are why Techno Trolls begin to evacuate, as Barb was slowed down and showed up to the party slightly late.

Branch leads the evacuation efforts and is able to get many but not all of the Techno Trolls to safety. Mostly children, the elderly, the sick, the disabled, etc who are most at risk. Branch was going to go back for Trollex but Synth convinced him to stay and he'd go in his place, saying that Branch is a better leader and he's a better scout.

Synth returns and reports that he saw trolls kidnapping all of Techno trolls, and the reef is wrecked. Branch decides he's going to set out to rescue everyone, which is how he ends up setting off.

I like to think he keeps arriving just after Poppy leaves places. Pennywhistle points out to him which way Poppy went, he arrives at Lonesome Flats just in time to see the Country Trolls get taken, he follows the river and runs into Chaz, then bumps into the other bounty hunters. I imagine in this AU Branch allies with Chaz, KPop and Reggaeton. Yes in this AU Chaz isn't as randomly evil as he is in Trollstopia/Remix Rescue.

They try to stop Barb, with a bit more of a fight than in the movie. We'll even let the Snack Pack take advantage of the chaos and help. Kpop and Reggaeton are fighting off Rock Trolls together, Biggie hits someone with a ukelele, Mr. Dinkles corners the one Rock Troll with a fear of worms, Satin and Chenille use their hair to trip people, Legsly gets two people to run at her then stretches up so they hit each other, I don't even need to TELL you what Guy Diamond and Tiny Diamond do, you all already know. Smidge literally just starts punching people and manages to throw a guy into the stands.

Chaz and Branch try to tag team Barb, with Branch using portable turntables to sample Chaz's Jazz so they can hit her with it from both sides. Branch gets zombified and Chaz attempts to overwrite the zombification with Jazz but it only succeeds in stunning Branch and preventing Barb from ordering him around. Poppy has her big epiphany seeing the bounty hunters working together and gives her speech about harmony taking different voices and breaks the strings. Everyone sings and then while everyone is celebrating and Trollex is telling Branch how cool he is, Poppy goes to see him because she realized just who he was.

King Trollex x Techno Reader

Girl, honey, what have you been up to?

All the tribes had gathered at the beach near New Techno Reef for a rave that King Trollex had invited everyone to. It was mainly your idea since you wanted to celebrate successfully moving everyone into New Techno Reef safely, and Trollex was more than open to the idea. A few tribes were still working on rebuilding, but they decided to come to have a nice break from all the hard work they’d been putting into the past few weeks. And the leaders all agreed that it’d be nice to meet up for fun.

“Whew! It sure feels nice to sit down for once.” Delta sighed as she sat down in the sand with the others.

"What? Do you not sit down often or something?” Barb asked.

“Not since your lil fancy hoedown, no.” Delta replied. Barb rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment.  

“Right. Rebuilding. I’m sorry.”

“No worries, sugar.”

“Hey, have you guys ever been to the beach before? I haven’t! Its so cool here!” Poppy exclaimed.

“I don’t think any of us have been to a beach besides the Techno trolls, Queen Poppy.” King Quincy said.

“Oh yeah, right.” Poppy said in realization. “That makes sense.”

“HOT!” Trollzart exclaimed. “Ugh. This is exactly why we Classical trolls fly above the ground!” Trollzart crossed his arms in frustration.

"Why don’t you try hanging out in the sand near the water, or are you afraid of your robe getting wet?” Barb chuckled.

“I do not find that nearly amusing at all.” Trollzart glared at her. “And I’m still expecting a new baton from you!”

“Hey guys, are you all having fun?” Trollex asked as he floated up to them.

“Yes, we are. We’re all appreciate you inviting us.” Queen Essence answered, effectively stopping any arguments that could’ve started between Trollzart and Barb.

"I’m so happy to hear that! By the way, have any of you seen my girlfriend anywhere?” Trollex asked.

“You have a girlfriend? Ouch!” Delta kicked Barb with one of her hind legs.

“Yeah, this whole thing was her idea, but I don’t have a clue where she went!” Trollex said.

“I do not believe any of us have seen her, but we will be sure to let you know if we do.” Trollzart assured him.

“Thanks, I’ll see you in a bit, I gotta help Dj Suki with the DJ booth!” Trollex waved at them as he floated away.

“Huh. Who knew that Trollex of all trolls would get himself a chick?” Barb laughed.

“Well, he is cute and nice.” Poppy said.

“I spent over an hour talking to that guy, trolls got a personality of a rock.” Barb rolled her eyes.

“Okay, now that’s just mean!” Poppy shot back. As the two were going at it, one of Delta’s ears twitched and she turned towards a patch of trees and bushes on a hill nearby.

"Do ya’ll hear that?” Delta asked.

“Hear what, Delta?” Essence asked.

“That music, comin from over there.” Delta pointed.

“You’re just hearing things. I don’t hear nothing.” Barb shrugged.

“Nuh-uh. I know Country music when I hear it.” Delta got up and started walking towards the music. “Thing is, I don’t recognize that voice.”

“Oh! It might be one of us pop trolls. Some of them really like Country music.” Poppy said and skipped alongside her.

“Mmf. Whatever.” Barb mumbled and followed. The rest of the leaders decided to check it out. They had expected to see a Pop or Country troll, so they were a little in shock to find a Techno troll playing an acoustic guitar while sitting on a rock.

“And we’ve seen better days…whatever this life puts us through. Baby I’ll still love you. Oh, we’re gonna laugh, we’re gonna cry, we’re gonna fight. Oh, but we're  gonna live, maybe have a few-” The troll was you. You stopped when you realized you had an audience.

“Don’t stop! Keep going!” Poppy said.

“Oh uh…I-I was just practicing. I’m teaching myself how to play an acoustic guitar and I wanted to surprise my boyfriend today.” You said.

“Who’s the lucky man?” Delta asked.

“Trollex.” You blushed.

“So, you’re his chick? Wow.” Barb remarked, earning another kick from Delta’s hind leg.

“Well, if you’re trying to teach yourself, you at least gotta learn how to tune it right, lemme show you.” Delta took the guitar from you and showed you how to properly tune it.

“Wow! Thank you so much!” You thanked her.

“Happy to help a Country lover.” Delta tipped her hat.

“You play wonderfully! But I did hear a few sour notes.” Trollzart said.

"Yeah, the marshmallow is right. Here, you gotta fix your position a little.” Barb helped you sit upright and showed you how to hold the guitar. Each of the leaders gave you some advice and taught you a few things right before the party officially began to start.

“Thank you, everyone. I would perform on stage, but I don’t want the spotlight to be on me. I want everyone else to have fun and enjoy themselves. I’ll perform another time, but I know for sure I’m going to surprise Trollex after the party so he and I can have some alone time.”

“Aww! That’s so sweet!” Poppy squealed.

“Bleh.” Barb rolled her eyes.

~After the party~

You thanked all the leaders again for their help right before they left and thanked everyone else for coming to the party. As some of the other Techno trolls started cleaning up, you lead Trollex to a cleared area on the beach. The sun was setting and the fireflies were starting to decorate the sky, and flower petals were scattered on the ground. You were a little surprised how perfect the setting was, but you weren’t complaining!

“Babe, what’s going on?” Trollex asked you.

“Well, I’ve been practicing lately and I wanted to surprise you.” You grabbed your guitar from the bushes. For a second, it almost looked like someone was handing it to you. You didn’t give it a second thought and started playing it.

“Oh, look at those smiles. Sun on the waves. I almost taste, the salt in the air. Oh, and doesn’t it feel, like just yesterday, was our second date.” Trollex smiled at you lovingly as you sang. “And I still get nervous, when you hold my hand. It still feels perfect, when you ask me to dance. When the colors fade, from these picture frames, when my hair turns grey, the seasons all change. And we’ve seen better days, whatever this life puts us through, baby I’ll still love you. Oh, we’re gonna laugh, we’re gonna cry, we’re gonna fight. Oh but we’re gonna live, maybe have a few kids.” Trollex’s smile grew wider and he started blushing like crazy. “Whatever happens, I’ll promise you this, when the colors fade, from these picture frames, when my hair turns gray,”

“The seasons all change, and we’ve seen better days. Whatever this life puts us through. Baby I’ll still love you.” Trollex sang to you. You smiled and blushed. He was definitely trying to turn the tables on you by adding in a country accent. And he did it so smoothly, it was almost as if he had been rehearsing as well. You could’ve sworn you heard a violin start playing when Trollex started singing.

"When the sun does its damage, the paint on this house turns to rust. When the future’s the past, and there’s no more breath in my lungs. When the colors fade, from these picture frames, when my hair turns gray, the seasons all change. And we’ve seen better days,” The sun had set and the petals on the ground were picked up by the wind and started floating around you two as you both sang together. “Whatever this life puts us through, whatever time tries to undo, yeah baby, I promise you.” You let the guitar hang from its strap as you and Trollex embraced each other. “I’ll still love you.” You dipped him and kissed him. That’s when you heard the squealing.

“Popsqueak, shut up!” Barb said.

“But is so cute!” Poppy said. You and Trollex looked into the bushes and saw all the leaders except for Quincy and Essence.

I knew I heard someone playing a violin.” You looked at Trollzart who was guiltily holding a violin.

“And that explains why it looked like the guitar poked out of the bushes before you even grabbed it.” Trollex said.

“We just wanted to help!” Poppy said.

“You guys set all this up?” You asked.

“Actually, Quincy and Essence did. They wanted to make sure all of their trolls got back to the ship safely, so they had us record for them instead.” Delta said, holding up a camera. You smiled and waved.

“Hey, thank you two so much for the help, really appreciate it. And thank you guys too. I was really surprised when we got here. I was just expecting the sunset.” You shrugged.

“Ha! No. By the way, Trollex.” Delta pointed the camera at Trollex. “What was up with that country accent?” Trollex blushed and rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

“Well…I might’ve gotten a little jealous when (Y/N) made a comment about how she liked Hickory’s accent.” Trollex admitted.

“Oh baby, I was just thinking out loud. I love you just the way you are.” You said and kissed him on the cheek.

"Barf.” Barb said, making everyone laugh.

Some headcanons of the troll tribes

•King Peppy probably neglected Poppy a bit as the weight of losing a child and keeping his tribe alive took a toll on him.

•The town is overprotective of Poppy when she behaves differently, they already lost their heir Viva and practically also Peppy, they only have Poppy left to hold on to.

•Funks have problems sleeping because of their necks, although that was solved with their technological advancement.

Ehani is a very attentive troll. Due to where she lives and being mute, she has learned to pay very close attention to pretty much everything around her, making it so that very few things escape her notice. Despite that though, she is very forgetful and will often forget where shes going or what she promised someone even if it only recently happened. She's still very nice however, and can very easily empathize with other even to the point of feeling what they feel, which makes it easy to talk to her able your problems as, even if she can't verbally respond to them, shes still a great listener.

One big downside to her personality though us her laziness and irritability. She has a very short tempter, especially to bullshit and can get very irritated, very easily, so if you catch her on a bad day your gonna get irritated glares thrown your way. She's also a very lazy troll, often choosing to lay around and do nothing 90% of the time, which has usually never worked in her favor(leading to many days she just chooses not to get food cuz she felt too lazy to get up).

HISTORY

Ehani was born on the outskirts of Techno reef close to the shore and was raised by her Father, Orca(Techno troll) and her Mother, Baila(Country Troll). After they had gotten together Baila moved to live closer and built herself a home near the shore so that she could be around her family.

Ever since she was young, Ehani was always told by her parents what a beautiful singing voice she had it complimented her soft voice alot. She was always big on singing. She would always be seen singing all the time, even if the timing isn't the best for the situation. Being the curious troll she was, she often went out and explored areas that were way past the safe zone for her leading to her parents having to rescue her on more then one occasions. Even through all the scolding she got it never quelled her curiosity of the ocean around her and she would be right back to exploring the dangerous side of the ocean.

She was unaware of the other techno trolls until she was 7 when her father took her to meet the current king at the time, ???, One of Trollex and Bliss' dads(he was 5 at the time, her 4) once there she immediately got along with Trollex and Bliss and they all became almost instant friends. Every journey to Techno Reef after that was eagerly awaited by her as she couldn't wait to see them again.

Her life was relatively lively and normal until her father passed away suddenly when she was 17. She had woken up to see him unconscious and not breathing and had panicked and swam to shore to get her mother. Both were devastated when they found out he had passed, but gave him a nice funeral. When the Current King's found out they offered to take in Ehani only for her to reject the offer saying that she wouldnt be able to handle all the bright lights of raves and that she prefers to live on the outskirts anyway.

After her father passed her relationship with her mother turned bitter. Due to Baila's constant grief she no longer bothered to take care of Ehani, which forced her to learn his to hunt and survive on her own, and often got injured in the process.

Her biggest injury was caused when she was in a battle with a barracuda and barely managed to survive, at the cost of her voice. The barracuda managed to sink its teeth deep into her neck which destroyed her voice box and rendered her incapable of singing or talking ever again.

After she was found unconscious and severely injured by a guard she was brought to the Reefs hospital where she managed to get treated for her wounds, though not without scarring. It took a month before she woke up only to be greeted with Trollex and Bliss' sleeping bodies around her bed. She tried to tell wake them but realized she couldn't talk so she shook them awake. They were super happy when they realized she was awake and shot out the room to get the doctor.

She grieved over the loss of her voice when she found out her voice box was injured beyond repair. To her singing was everything and now she couldn't even do it anymore. She spend alot time when she left the hospital grieving and refusing to leave from the temporary room in Trollex and Bliss' home. They tried everything they could to help her out of her mild depression but nothing worked. It wasnt until she was sat down with one of the King's and they talked that she realized that maybe it wasnt so bad and that she could recover.

After that, though not completely happy again she began learning how to communicate via body movements and slowly over time she grew used to not beign able to talk and was even able to appreciate music even more because of it.

After Trollex became king(age 18 for him, 17 for Bliss and 20 for her) she decided it was time to move back out to the outskirts but before she left she gave Bliss and Trollex a gift to ensure that if they ever needed her they could call her and she would be there

EXTRA NOTES

• She lives in the outskirts of Techno Reef and often helps defend the Reef from predators, hence her scars

• She lives in a mini coral reef located deeper down into the ocean

• She gave Trollex and Bliss these Seaweed whistles that they can use if they are in a troubling situation they cant get out of, to call her and shell be there to help. Though half the time they use them just to call her and hang out, much to her annoyance

• She has very sharp teeth and very sensitive hearing, hence why she can hear the call of the seaweed whistles she gave Bliss and Trollex
