I'm going to my state's renaissance faire this Sunday!! I'm dressing as a pirate >:3c I'm planning to bring a plushie with me to take photos of for the blog. It's probably going to be Ratthew the rat. I made us some matching jewelry <3 (him a necklace and me a bracelet). Although I'm also lowkey considering taking a dragon with me as well? Or Soup? I don't think carrying a small dragon or dog would make as much sense for a pirate as holding a rat would, though. What do you guys think?

got hit with that autism + ptsd two punch combo (+ a little kick of the stealth transgender shame) and i also forgot that everything is going to be okay

went to my place of employment (i am not back to work til monday) (off for surgery recovery) for customer reasons (i needed a cashiers check and also to use the printer) (i needed to print off some quilt block patterns) (they’re little houses thank you for asking) And. my coworkers were excited to see me and one even asked if he could hug me & said he missed me (it was not weird in the context of his personality and our work friendship) (i did decline the hug because i hate being touched but i was emotionally touched at the offer) and everyone asked how i was & how it went & so on.

i have been sitting here consumed with dread about going back to work soon because i always convince myself that everyone hates me but that is simply not true !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! people like me and appreciate me and i am not a burden to be around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so fucking excited about this artwork I commissioned from @screaminjayfawn (who was an absolute delight to work with, 10/10, no notes, go commission them), based off a silly comment over on FFA about Matthew Tkachuk as Remy from Ratattouille piloting a Panther. It didn't end up exactly like that, but I think it's much better. I feel like Jay really captured that Ratthew Energy[tm].

Next step: get it printed on a shirt and wear it to a Florida Panthers game! I'm hoping I can ~leverage my connections~ with one of the local screen printers to make it not cost a stupid amount, so cross your fingers for me, kiddos. (Who knew hockey would end up my most expensive fandom since I was neck-deep in Marvel comics? That weekly pull list and multiple cons a year REALLY added up....)

I've been keeping my hockey obsession locked down over on a new sideblog @hockeyinterrupted, but it's apparently STILL in new account tag jail, and this art needs to be seen. SO! Sorry, friends, if you're not here for it. We'll be back to our regularly scheduled general fandom programming in no time.

In honor of my birthday in June, I decided to host a bingo event again.

The old event cannot be found due to me literally deleting my old blog and starting from scratch.

For those you who do remember last year’s event, I basically took the same board and changed a few things.

Rules:

You do not need to get a perfect bingo (5 squares in a row, column, or diagonal)

You can choose any 5 squares you want

Bonus challenges: totally optional but you can also choose one of the following special types of bingo (I do not expect anyone to do any of these): four corners, inner box (around free space), outer box (top and bottom rows plus both the far left and far right columns), any box of 4 (2x2 box anywhere on the board), X (both diagonals), and + (center column and center row)

Obviously the squares you choose will drive the story, but I am pretty open to genres, including smut (I am turning 27)

I prefer reader inserts now a days but if you are an oc person, I will gladly accept oc fics. I want to be inclusive in terms of types of writing. Obviously not in terms of players since there are just some players I refuse to read for.

No word count minimum (or maximum) but preferably longer than a blurb especially if you fit 4+ squares in one story

June 30th

My actual birthday is June 17th, but I want to give enough time for anyone that wants to write

I will accept early entries. If you are choosing to do one of the harder challenges, you have until July 31st because I know those are hard and most don’t make sense with the board

Obviously, I can’t control who you choose to write since I know not everyone writes for all of these players, and I am totally okay with that

Absolutely no Seattle kraken players unless as a side character and not as a current or former love interest. Those are my babies and I do not read (or write) for them anymore
