Portrait of Charles II seated in an interior

Oil on canvas. 160 × 108 cm. The work, which is now kept in a private collection in Madrid, is an interesting representation of Charles II that stands out for its way of portraying the monarch. The image of Charles II was the most represented and disseminated of all the Spanish Habsburgs. However, we have not found any portrait on canvas where the monarch is seated. Until now, we have only located two documents from the reign of Charles II, which represent the seated monarch. One of them, attributed to Matías de Torres, corresponds to the Office of the title of Marquis of Monterrico, dated 1687, and the other also by Matías de Torres, is the Office of the title of Marquis of Torrepacheco, from approximately 1692.

Also I have to say, I have to come out of my silence even tho that has nothing to do with Shadowheart........ Bg3 does suffer from the 'he would not have fucking abs' syndrome, and it's terminal- everytime I see Astarion shirtless it feels so wrong I'm sorry but mister 8 strength stat would *not* be strong wtf (not even mentioning the fact a lot of the abuse he talks about, so far, is related to him not getting enough and quality food ? Sucking the blood of rats and bugs)- same for Gayle the huge nerd depressed wizard should not be this fit are you shitting me !! My suspension of disbelief ? Shattered. Aliens and magic ? not a problem. Wizards with abs ? Get out fjdjd Wyll is on thin ice but I can accept it, guy slays monster and fight with a sword and maybe him getting abs was in his contract ok *I guess*, it's the cowards choice but ok. And Halsin should be a *bear* come on game that's not computer science why is he this dry- The only one in the party I'll fully accept a six pack from is Karlach.

PS : I am planning on doing all six main companions :) of course in order from my favorite to the one I feel most neutral about. Don't get me wrong I like them all (for now), but one had to be last-

I'm thinking abt that pretty fall leaves embroidery pattern post and about how like... it is categorically a repost, it's a reupload. right? a thing that is generally disliked. but because it's credited, it's genuinely boosting the artist in question. and it could ALWAYS be like this. reposting content could ALWAYS be a symbiotic relationship, but because sourcing back to the original creator of something is so uncommon, it's just easier to ask people not to repost it at all. and people still don't understand the difference. or they'll go to the effort of cropping out usernames/signatures to repost something, which is More Effort than literally crediting the creator of something you liked enough to want to repost. Like. I literally don't actually care if my own shit gets reposted, you have to understand. I just don't want it STOLEN. But "do not repost" is easier to write on my art than "you can repost this, but don't alter the image/remove my signature, don't you dare write 'credit goes to the artist' because that is not credit, please link back to my original post or someplace that you can actually find me. please use an actual link/url instead of writing a non-clickable link of my username, because making it text instead of a clickable link cuts the number of people who will go to the effort of visiting my own page in Half." All those aggregate themed accounts, those fuckin annoying as hell instagrams and facebook groups that are like "body positive art we love wamen 💕 hashtag feminism" and then MASS-STEAL plus sized art created by women, if pages like these that always go and steal my older self-portraits and other works... If they just put a link to my prints of those pieces in the text of those posts, or, fuck, my commission info page? I would literally be living on the moon right now. Miniature portrait of Mariana of Austria

This painting is inspired by some of the portraits of Queen Mariana painted after 1665. Portraits on porcelain plates were common in Spain until the end of the 19th century. It is, therefore, likely that this painting was made in a French workshop, although it cannot be ruled out that it is a Spanish work from around 1900, when portraits of illustrious figures from the past became fashionable and were used to form dynastic ensembles. Its frame follows 17th-century models.
