one thing ab cartoons is that they don't resemble real people? they are very obviously stylized and unrealistic 2-dimensional drawings, and they usually don't look to be any particular age (a 15 and 30 yr old could look the same age depending on the style; in some cases, the 30 yr old may even look more youthful). anyways. my point is that being attracted to a 2d cartoon with cat ears, inhuman proportions and gigantic purple eyes (which typically don't even resemble a realistic human eye) is not the same as being attracted to a real, 3-dimensional human child.

I've been seeing so much hate for Cameron in the House MD community and it's actually pissing me awf. Especially regarding the Dibala situation.

I do not think Cameron was wrong to leave Chase. She's allowed to have her own morals and values, and to choose the people in her life based on those. She had the very simple conviction that murder is wrong, and she thought she'd married a man who agreed with this.

To find out that not only did he make exceptions to this rule, he carried the act out himself, must have been earth shattering.

Now let's be clear, I don't think Chase was in the wrong for killing Dibala. I do not think Cameron was in the wrong for being upset with this, however. I understand that Chase was dealing with some incredibly hard things, and he would need someone to help him through that.

But Cameron could never do that. She couldn’t keep reassuring him that he did the right thing, because deep down she didn't believe that. And at the end of the day, Chase killed Dibala by choice. He has to deal with the fallout of that.

Whereas Cameron had no choice in this. Her only choice was whether to accept Chase after what he did or not, and she was damn right to leave when she couldn’t do that.

It’s been clear since season 1 that Cameron is this type of person. It's specified countless times that she stands by her morals very firmly, and this is a GOOD THING. She doesn't play fast and loose with morality like most everyone on House's team. It wasn't some grand betrayal of her to leave when a man was murdered by her husband.

I very firmly believe Cameron did the right thing. She couldn’t stay on the team and she couldn’t stay with Chase. Both were bound to end because they simply had too differing beliefs.

I'm glad that she got out early and I'm glad that she stood by her morals. Cameron did nothing wrong and I stand by this. Me out.

Just going to preface this by saying this is me going on a rant. I just saw something that bothered me and I need to get my thoughts out on the matter.

I recently saw a post criticizing fanfic writers for writing Christmas fics about ancient Chinese characters. Basically saying that instead of learning about the culture and writing something true to the characters culture we are spreading our Christian infested thoughts (my words not theirs, but the crux of the post).

First off, it is not a novel concept that fic writers like to combine two things they enjoy. So if someone wants to combine these two topics, what is the big deal? No it’s not a Chinese holiday, but I think we all need to remember that fic writers are doing this in their spare time - we don’t have hours to research all the nuances of certain cultures or maybe some just aren’t comfortable writing about another culture that isn’t their own.

Furthermore, if you are upset about Christmas fics with ancient Chinese characters, what about Halloween fics? What about Hanukkah fics? Shouldn’t these also be deemed unacceptable? Or if it’s the Christianity aspect that’s the problem, what about Lord of the Rings AUs (Tolkien incorporated his faith into his novels)? Or Twilight AUs (with morman views)? Are all of these also unacceptable?? It just boggles my mind why people can’t let others enjoy themselves. This is a hobby. We do it for fun. If writing a Christmas fic makes someone happy, let them do it! Don’t read it if you don’t like it. Why is it so wrong for someone to combine two things they love?

Also, just because people celebrate Christmas does not mean they are Christians. I am an atheist and because of religious trauma in my past I despise Christianity (I am aware not all of it is bad and it is something I need to work on but it has left a permanent sourness inside me). To me, Christmas isn’t about religion. It’s about being with family and friends and simply enjoying time with each other and the traditions we share. If I want to spread that Christmas cheer by writing a fic with my two gay idiots, so what? If you want a more accurate interpretation of Chinese themes, then write that fic!! I’d love to read it and learn more about Chinese traditions.

With that being said, in no way am I trying to demean other holidays or cultures that don’t celebrate Christmas. As a writer, one of the biggest tips is to write what you know. I know Christmas and maybe I wanted to share those cozy Christmas vibes with others. If it’s not for you, don’t read it. Block me. Do what you got to do, but don’t rain on someone’s parade for simply writing about two things they enjoy. Again, I have nothing against other cultures or holidays. In fact, if you celebrate a different holiday, tell me about it in the comments! I’d love to hear about it.

Okay so since we're about to enter 2025, I am really hoping we're gonna leave the whole "Weak-Twink-Race" thing behind in 2024.

And before you say "Oh well, Ben Cook is!" First off, do you hear yourself? Seriously, do you hear yourself? Do you hear the stereotypes of male dancers you're perpetuating? I don't really care about the character thing, it just isn't accurate, but calling the actual person a twink just sounds wrong to me? But whatever.

This character is hauling around 50 - 100 newspapers a day! I know from experience that stacks of newspapers are fucking heavy! You gotta be strong as hell to do that literally every day! Christmas dadow

Under the cut is just a little rant of mine, its about religion, christmas and myself so you can just not read, i just want to be brave for once.

Last warning, could be sensitive, just really personal under the cut.

Again its that time of year and i just don't feel it the way i did before, i can't say life is truly heavy cause i was blessed in a way not even other family members or even my parents were when they were younger, but it just lacks something? I guess childhood is finally over, and even tho i can still find some infant joy in life (wich is a thing im pretty afraid to see going away someday) i feel like i just lack the energy i had.

About religion i does have things with christmas, as a christian i have even more lack of energy seeing as its just a commercial holiday and all, i umderstand about the grattitude stuff and all, but what about the year long we lived till now? Shouldn't we be grateful? reach out to the people we care most? I guess i don't know, i feel tired constantly and after all im a coward in a way i want to make a change, share the love the Lord gives me everyday, share the love im so grateful ive learned at home even with its downs and things i may never talk about...

But im afraid and i don't know if its okay

Im afraid of changes, of the world,of the state it is in, of the future, of having a future, of not having one, of not doing enough, loosing those who are dear to me...im afraid of finally growing up.

I can't stop time, as funny as it sound cause of the post and all, i might not now our future but we can all try and change the past, and i want to be brave, maybe next year ill try and find ways to make it properly even to i have a hard time with interacting with people and touch (idk why but im already in my 20's so idk how helpful searching about it can be). Today i want to be brave by sharing this, and saying that this i feel i kinda like to see the paralels sometimes when i read the bible and pray, ecclesiastes is pretty good (my fave verse is this book, 4:2-3). And even if you don't believe, Daniel's book is kinda metal ngl, the writing in the wall? Booooooy it is rad.

So I don’t really ship Ghoap and instead lean toward some pretty unconventional, out-there ships for both these characters (individually) and am the type who cooks up smth like shipping Erika (Barbie) with Soap as well. That said, I enjoy some Ghoap art / fics, and I genuinely think the people creating ship content are incredibly talented. I fully support the ways you choose to enjoy your fandom experience. Anyone who harasses you for liking Ghoap can fuck off.

That being said, some of the behavior in the community really rubs me the wrong way. The whole “if two male characters express care, affection, or emotions toward one another, they must automatically be gay and romantically/sexually involved” trope is getting old. And the hatred toward female characters (canon ones like Mara or even original characters) just because they might “get in the way” of a ship that isn’t even canon? It’s immature and nasty. No one’s “erasing” a gay ship that doesn’t exist. The fandom’s tendency to hyper-prioritize male characters (minus Gaz because the fandom do be racist asf, even in shipping) while tearing down female ones reeks of misogyny. Like, why else would you be so pressed over the idea of Ghost for example being with a woman? The outright dismissal of anything remotely straight or involving women is not okay.

Also, the way some of you dumb down and oversimplify Soap’s character is disrespectful as hell. He’s a highly trained special forces soldier in the elite SAS. He’s also very intelligent—he’d have to be, considering his expertise in demolitions, which requires sharp mathematical and scientific skills. The UK’s equivalent (idk what it is) to something like the US’s ASVAB would show this man scoring through the roof; I don’t care, Soap would’ve scored high. And yet, people reduce him to some uwu, ditzy sweetheart who can’t function without Ghost, like his entire existence is just to be shipped with him (or other characters). He’s a fully realized character, not a one-dimensional accessory to someone else’s story who slobbers over Ghost like some empty-headed dog chasing a bone. Like wtf.

It's 2 am so um sorry if this doesn't make much sense..

I know a lot of people hate Jimmy and rightfully so. I mean he's a bad person, raped Anya, was too much of a coward to face his own actions so he decided that he should write a tragedy, then fails at it, only to be the reason why everyone died one by one and then finally killing himslef and giving Curly extra 20 years to be saved to once again avoid conciquences and to be the 'hero' he so much wishes he could be. He is selfish, greedy, a bastard and genually an awful human being. I understand that fully.

And yet, he is my favorite character along with Curly (and I don't mean only the pre-crash 'hot' Curly, but also post-crash Curly). You know why? He's so complex and interesting to think about. From psychoanalysis to just trying to figure out how he would interact with characters outside of what we see in the game.. it's all interesting. And it doesn't help that he is the reason for what happens in the game and I cannot explain how much I love the plot (the best way to describe it is that Jimmy is the core of this game, he is connected to everyone and everyone connects ro him, so in my mind, if I want to appreaciate this game fully, I need to extend it to that asshole, because we out him there would be no plot or those hard hitting messages). I love him as a character, I love how fucked up he is, I love that we play as him, I love his dialoge scenes and lastly I love his delusions because I love metaphores and I love that he is one of those characters that makes me think.

I know people shit on him and you know what? Fair. I sometimes do that to characters that've done nothing wrong, but I think they're cunts. But it sometimes just saddens me how people just ignore him or just make stupid jokes like 'sorry you had ro draw Jinglebells'. I know they are jokes, but I don't know, I'm tired of seeing them everywhere and being fed a lot of 'I hate Jimmy' stuff.

I mean there are Jimcurly fans which have amazing art and they sometimes get one thing correctly (in my tastes, this is all a personal opinion and I just want to yell it out into the void called internet) is that it hurts. Jimmy hurts people and hurts Curly, and in a lot of fics and art Curly just lets him. And I like that, as much as usually I like silly and wholesome stuff, for this game specifically I want it to hurt. I hope it hurts. Because that's the theme of the media, it's hard to consume and it hurts, it's dark and fucked up, it talks about our society and the people in it.

Also the aus and stuff can be fucking wild. Like there are amazing ones like surviviors au comic where instead of crashing the crew is stuck in a wormhole (I love it so much, genually can't stop thinking about it and rereading it, so beautiful and so good, didn't knew that was exactly what I needed until I read it) and like anti-tulpar (which I'm just receantly getting into and it's odd but in a good way, it's funky). But one the other side we have like lobotomy au and hypno au (the hypno au I read is like on the fence of being uncomfortable and not too bad, since the hypno used makes Jimmy docile and truthful, but on the inside he is still the same person, and like I read a smut and I was left wondering is it rape or not..). I just found out about lobotomy au and as much as I like fucked up shit that to me feels like crossing the line especially since I heard that it's usually used in a sexual manner(I don't have twitter so luckily I managed to escape most of it, but I heard a few things and I have certain opinions I just want to yell out, but if my info about this is wrong feel free to inform me :)). On that I have only one opinion, what is wrong with people? Like I get it, he is a bad person and has done awful things, but to do something to dehumanize him to the point of not being able to have deeper thoughs and not being able to take care of himself, then put him in a sexual manner where he gets practically raped since he can't consent? Why? Do people actually find this attractive or is it some type of letting out your anger? I think it's fucked up

But yea.. if anyone reads this thanks I guess? I just needed to spew out all my thoughts and make them make sense. Form them into proper words and ideas instead of unprocessed junk

So as a closing thought, please apreaciate Jimmy more and make more complex jokes. (Or at least don't like hate on this post too much aand don't post those stupid jokes under this post too much, I'd make my day if none of that would happen)

This is why i hate when people say that WFA "ruined" the Characters and the fandoms and the comics in general. as if the canon was even the tiniest bit of coherent...

My personal theory is that whenever a new dc comic author joined, they never bothered to read the prevois material and just did what they wanted to.

recently a lot of people started complaining online about how WFA portraits the characters wrong. What is the right way? there is nothing that stays the same. I got some comics from the 60s-80s from my dad and the characters differ WASTLY from anytjing going on right now.

So how could that comic ruin something that didnt exist in the first place? I found it a great material for beginners tbh because it actually bothers to explain things instead of saying "*vol.3" like idk mate, i dont have volume 3 and I am sure buying it nowadays is hella expensive.

Growing up reading comics just kinda taught me to accept things and going with the flow, Jason is suddenly black haired instead of blond? sure lets go. whatever curve ball comes along is just fine atp. And I feel like that is actually not a bad thing. reading comics is enjoying the material and story, dont think too hard about it...

Canon is whatever you want it to be, and that is fine. I gave up trying to align it long ago. I choose whatever age i what to believe them to be. And everything else too. DC is a big Sandbox adventure

As someone who started of with reading one comic fanfic's I was so confused about Tim and Jason's character-like one fic Tim would be shaking at the sight of Jason,the next their besties and teasing each other and in the next fic their in all out war with each other,and in some they are literally dating.

Now I've read some comics I have decided
