The Agency was completely quiet for once. Dazai and Kunikida were on a mission together, just like Kenji and Tanizaki, Naomi was out shopping with Kyouka, Yosano was buying more bandages and a new chainsaw, the President was having a negotiation with Mori, Atsushi was out "fighting" Akutagawa and Ranpo was on a crime scene.

Which means that when you arrived at this building, you found no one to welcome you. You sighed, although you didn't get mad, you knew that your friends were out doing their job... so you decided to use that time to explore around the building.

You went around and checked everyone's desks, making your heart skip a beat when you almost knocked over a pen holder on Kunikida's perfectly tidy and organized desk, and in the end you found it. The treasure. Your eyes literally lighted up at the sight: you had found Ranpo's stack of sweets.

You genuinely wondered how Ranpo was able to eat all that sugar without getting sick, but a rumble in your stomach made you snap back to reality. You were hungry, but you couldn't eat those sweets... you knew how jealous the detective was of his food, so you decided not to touch anything.

After an hour, the pile of candy was complete gone, and you gulped when you heard the door open and the sound of approaching steps. It wasn't your lucky day. Before you could even think about hiding the evidence of your hideous crimes, Ranpo appeared before you.

"AAAAAHH I'm so disappointed! The case was so easy that I spotted the culprit from afar! I didn't even get to use my ability! Seriously, isn't there an intelligence test to become a policeman?" The detective was clearly grumpy, so he did the thing that usually cheered him up, which was eating sweets to his heart's content.

However, his frown deepened when he found his stack completely gone and the wraps all scattered around the floor. "Rando..." The detective looked at you with a piercing gaze, even putting on his glasses, "do you know where my candy went? "I... you... no... I mean... I didn't... well... I WAS HUNGRY!!!" You couldn't lie at all, especially to the greatest detective of all times.

"Now I'm hungry! What am I supposed to eat, huh?" If you hadn't been so nervous, you would've probably noticed the playfully ominous glint in your best friend's eyes. "Erm... I... I think Kunikida left s-some raw veggies in the fridge..?"

"EEEEEEEHHH VEGGIES??? BLEH! HOW DARE YOU?! YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!!" The green-eyed guy jumped on you, but you managed to put your hands on his shoulders and push him off... Or so you thought.

When you raised your arms, two fingers immediately wormed under your arms, thoroughly digging in the very center of your underarms. "KYAAAHAHEHEHEHE RAHAHAHANPO WAIHIHIHIT NOOOO!!!" You were immediately reduced to a laughing mess, but Ranpo showed no mercy.

On the contrary, he moved his hands and made you think he had decided to spare you and let it slide for once, but right after you breathed a sigh of relief, twenty wiggling fingers descended on your poor tummy.

"WAAAAHHAHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHO RAHAHANPOHOHO NAHAHAT THIHIHIS!!!" You begged, wishing your thin cotton shirt could protect you better from the pokes, pinches, scribbles and spiders that were targeting your midriff.

"Yes, this! You deserve it for eating my secret stack of sweets! Hmph!!" He huffed while he started circling your belly button. "NONONOHOHOHOHO BROHOHO PLEAHAHASE LEHEHET'S TAHAHALK ABOHOHOUT THIHIHIS..!" As soon as you understood where his finger was going, you started pleading and squirming, making the tickly feeling even worse (or better).

"You should've thought about it before eating my snacks... now I'm gonna dig and get them back!" The brunette exclamation as his finger found your bellybutton and started wiggling extra quickly, as if it was digging in your poor belly.

You and Ranpo will be well known at your favourite local café. You're in there almost everyday, either together or separately, getting coffee or a sweet snack. They know your regular orders by heart.

The party is a little more popular than Chuuya expected for how little he sees his roommates bring friends over

He primarily keeps to himself, listening to the music, staying close to the walls, and manning the front door when handfuls of trick-or-treaters come by

Right as he goes to close the door after a pack of teenage princesses leave, a voice calls for him to wait

You come strolling up the front steps with a friend of yours just behind you, each of you carrying two six-packs of drinks

Chuuya holds the door open and ducks back to make for your full arms, nodding as you offer a quick thanks

On paper, you aren't an official member of the Armed Detective Agency, but you are in spirit and in secret. No one really knows you have a connection to the agency other than some members go to your tea house on often.

You own a small tea house selling homemade tea from the plants you grow. You also sell the leaves from the plant.

It's a lovely shop, a bit out of the way from the normal hustle and bustle of the city. A table is outside for some leisurely activities people can do while drinking their tea. Sometimes, your pets may run around the shop, greeting visitors.

You do, maybe once a month or so, spend your days off at the agency, but most of the time, you're at home spending time with your cat and dog.

Your tea house is seen as a hidden gem by many locals. It sees semi frequent patronage from this one girl dressed in a white dress.

Her name was Gin. It was quickly found out that she was a part of the Port Mafia. She promised to keep the fact that you're connected to the Armed Detective Agency a secret. From the other's in the Port Mafia.

Your life before you moved to Yokohama was a loving one. You didn't need to use your ability for anything only when you wanted to.

The day one of the clerks from the Armed Detective Agency, Haruno, came to your tea house was a day like no other. The sun was out but wasn't too harsh. A nice gentle wind flew through the air. And once when that doorbell rang out, it was the moment your life changed. For the better or the worse? That is for you to decide.

You do sometimes see a calico cat outside of your store sleeping on one of the chairs.

Ability

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

Ability named after a musical piece composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky from The Nutcracker ballet.

You can grow any plant from any soil and imbue that plant with the ability to heal. Anything you make with your plants retains the healing ability. The healing ability goes into effect once the person eats what you make. The healing power intensifies the more you are close to that person.

Romantic Matchup

Atsushi Nakajima

Everyone in the agency knew he had a crush on you before he realized himself. It took a lot of encouragement from everyone, mainly Dazai, for him to confess to you. And that's how you two became a couple.

Atsushi does notice the tea he gets from you now healing capability is more powerful.

He enjoys being around you, your calming and loving nature puts him at piece.

He blushed so brightly when you two first held hands, he was so scared he would crush yours.

He sometimes secretly puts cash in your pockets so you can get something you like. He thinks he does it secretly, but it's pretty obvious when he does it.

On those cold days, Atsushi would love to hold you and cuddle you to make sure you stay warm and comfortable.

When he compliments you, he fumbles around trying to find the right words, but he always ends up saying he loves you.

Your pets approve of him, Atsushi was scared of them at first because he had never had pets before.

If you're ever in danger, no one can stop him. He's going to save you.

Your dates include chilling at your house, watching movies, and playing with your pets. Sometimes, if Atsushi is really busy at the Agency, your date would be helping him with the paperwork.

Relationships

Yukichi Fukuzawa

He was the one to make sure that you weren't a member of the ADA in writing, but he does see you as a member. He knows your healing ability is sought out by others, so that was his way of protecting you from any major danger being an agency member causes.

Ranpo Edogawa

He sees you as a big sister. He even calls you big sister when referring to you. He tries not to call you that when he does visit the shop, but it does sometimes slip out. When he visits your shop, it's mainly to play chess with you. He likes the challenge you give him.

Kyoka Izumi

She also sees you as a big sister. She loves to go to your shop, the first time she did she cried when you just gave her kindness. She is still getting used to being tried with kindness.

Gin Akutagawa

She absolutely adores your tea house and loves going it. She also adores your pet cat. She also loves the calming nature of the tea house. She feels grateful that she found a place and a person she can be her cutesy girly self with.

I honestly feel this is one of the funniest matchups ever, but it would suck for you.

All three of them are extremely smart and that would make it extremely hard to escape.

I don't think they will live together but you'll either take turns between the three of them or you'll live in your own private apartment, and they come and visit you.

If it's the second one, then it would probably be strongly protected and even though you'll be by yourself they'll make sure you can't leave.

Obviously, you're going to get teased a lot, mostly by dazai and ranpo but sometimes by chuuya as well.

dazai is the type to defend you against ranpo and chuuya even though he does it more, ranpo doesn't really care but chuuya sometimes gets mad and that starts arguments between the two.

You probably like ranpo a little more only because during chuuyas and dazais argument, you can find some comfort in him.

Though he is still very mean. Ranpo loves to test you and play games with you. even if you already succumbed to stockholm syndrome, he will still test your love for them.

these tests would consist of various questions or sometimes even games.

for example, he would either hire someone to call you and pretend to be someone who can help you, just for ranpo to be listening in on the call.

Dazai is the least delusional out of the trio, with ranpo coming second and chuuya coming last.

even though dazai isnt as delusional, he wholeheartedly believes that you belong to him, and you should love him as much as he does.

ranpo is only delusional when you psychically deny him, as it would hurt him too much to know that you hate him so much that you wouldn't even let him push your hair back.

Chuuya on the other hand will be delusional until you say you hate him and try to murder him; he will always trick himself until believing that you don't hate him.

If you ever try to escape on the other hand, even though he doesn't want too, chuuya has the most violent punishments out of the three.

he hates hurting you, but he also is a firm believer that if your hurt enough once, he doesn't have to do it again.

dazai is the type to threaten you the first time and make it seem likes hes joking than when you actually try to escape the threat won't seem so empty. He'll tell you that if you ever tried to escape, he'll break your legs and never let you leave the house, but during this he'll be giggling. when you do try to escape, when he finds you, you'll wake with two broken legs, and he'll be laughing about how you won't be able to try to leave now.

Ranpo is the type of guy who shows you murder cases including all of the gory details, he loves your scared expressions and how you shake for days after. If you still try to escape, he'll be more hurt than anything and would let dazai and chuuya punish you while he calms down,

in general, this is like the worst-case scenario, the only thing worse would be a fyodor, mori, and nikolai poly relationship...

Hear me out on the teasing. I know Poe's generally a shy person, but like.. you know how he acts with Ranpo? Imagine that, but way more.

At the very beginning of your relationship, he was definitely more nervous though. He'd always get flustered when you teased him. But he adjusted pretty quickly!

Now he quips back with his own teasing whenever he can. It's never mean-spirited, of course. Usually by the end you both end up giggling.. or pouting.

He's an artistic guy himself! He appreciates all kinds of art, though obviously writing is his forte.

He likes to just watch you while you paint. He doesn't say a word, just watches in silence as you paint the canvas in beautiful colours.

Karl sometimes joins in, though Poe keeps a close eye on him. He wouldn't want his little friend to disturb you while you're painting! So, he sits him down on his shoulder or holds him in his arms to make sure he doesn't escape and cause a mess for you.

He doesn't mind your shyness at all. Why would he? He's even worse in that aspect, after all.

He doesn't like new people. He doesn't like socialising. He doesn't like crowded spaces.

So if you share those traits he'll be relieved. Though he has to admit, if you asked him to, he would be willing to be a little more outgoing.. it would be very difficult, but just for you, he'd try.

Again, he's similar to you in the way he opens up much more after getting comfortable with someone. Thus, he recognizes that you fully trust him once he notices you starting to share random tidbits of info about yourself with him, but not anyone else. He was really touched by that!

If you feel like you need to talk, ramble, vent, anything, he's there to listen. One of the best listeners, he'll sit quietly and only chime in if he knows you want him to. Also, strangely good at comforting, despite how nervous he is about it.

Your touchiness was probably a lot for him at first. It's not that he doesn't like it! It's just, being a lonely person, he never really received any physical affection. It's odd. But after a bit, he finds that he doesn't mind it.

Phone calls make him really nervous. Pre-relationship he was afraid it would annoy you that he never calls or texts first, but it makes him feel better that you prefer face-to-face.

Whenever you hugged him unprompted, he used to yelp at first. "At least warn me when you jump me like that!" He'd tell you.

Now he just melts into your touch. If he's having a particularly bad day he can be clingy and just ask you to hold him or cuddle. The man just needs to relax.

He likes being the little spoon. Doesn't care that you're shorter than him. He'll rest his head on your chest and close his eyes, letting you play with his hair or plant kisses on him. Sometimes Karl joins you as well, squeezing himself between the two of you.

Holding hands is his favourite though. It's simple, but effective. He loves caressing your hand, entwining his fingers with yours, squeezing it when he's feeling down.

He isn't a big fan of PDA, so he'd ask you to tone the touchiness down just a tad when you're out somewhere (luckily, he doesn't like to go out much!). He doesn't mind quick hugs, holding hands or small pecks coming from you, but he's way less likely to reciprocate if he knows other people are around.

He adores that you're into reading and writing. Perfect opportunity for him to boast about the novels he's written so far. Though he's careful not to accidentally activate his ability on you and trap you, so just... Be cautious about those murder mysteries he's writing.

He always shows you how he's progressing if he's currently writing something. He values your opinion, so if you have anything to say on the matter he's all ears!

"Hey, Y/N.. Ranpo-san said this dialogue I wrote for my book was too unrealistic. What do you think?"

He may or may not write about you. Sometimes more subtly, sometimes.. not so much. But he always pretends it's nothing if you call him out about it.

"Uhm, Poe, I'm just wondering.. the main character of your new novel has the same name as me."

"Oh! Uh.. they do, huh?"

"Their love interest is also named Edgar."

Ranpo teases him about it basically being fanfiction at that point and he's very defensive about it.

"It's NOT fanfiction! You think I'd stoop to such a level? Please."

Hearing about your ambitions to write a book one day, he immediately starts to teach you everything he knows. Fair warning, he's not a very good teacher.

That is probably because even he doesn't know what he's doing when writing. The techniques just come effortlessly, so he can't quite comprehend how to do it.

But he's trying his best!

He doesn't mind your mood swings. In truth, he's prone to them too. But if it gets particularly bad, he's the first to come and help you deal with them.

He's known you for a while. He recognizes signs of when you're feeling irritated. And when he notices, he's quick to pull you out of the situation before you start fist-fighting with the person who's making you feel that way.

Again - artsy guy. Saxophone? Color guard? He's all for it.

He loves hearing you play. Though he was very embarrassed about it before you started dating. He'd just put his ear against the door to your room and listen without you knowing. A little weird, looking back on it..

He insists you play a tune for Karl every night because 'it helps him fall asleep'. Which.. isn't technically a lie, but the little guy could fall asleep in the middle of a warzone, so it doesn't say much. But it's the perfect excuse to hear you play!

Color guard is very interesting to him. Watching your performances captivates him. No matter how many people there are besides you, his focus is always fully on you.

Loud noises are not a problem when dating Poe. The only time he raises his voice is when he's trying to boast about his writing, but he knows that you don't appreciate that so he keeps it down for you.

Not the boasting, of course. You're his partner, of course you're the first one he goes to to brag! If you let him, that is.

Valentine's Day is today, which you'd think would be a good thing.

Thing is.. you're Poe's first partner. He does not have any experience in romance. He writes murder mysteries, not romance novels!!

Safe to say, he was scrambling for ideas about what to do.

"Get 'em some sweets and chocolate, that always works!"

"Money."

"U-Um.. flowers, maybe?"

All that advice sounded well and good, but.. would you actually like that? He didn't want to ruin Valentine's by getting you gifts you didn't even enjoy.

But then, he started thinking about things you told him a few days ago.

"Oh, this is beautiful.. poems are so romantic, don't you think?"

"Some flowers wouldn't hurt to have in here."

You were dropping hints because you knew he'd be indecisive and nervous. Thank god for that.

And so, he rushed to get you a big bouquet of your favourite flowers, your favourite kind of chocolate, then got to writing.

But then came the time to actually give it to you.

You stood before him, looking at him through an expectant gaze. "So.. what is it that you want to show me, Poe?"

He took a deep breath and pushed all his gifts into your hands. His head was turned down onto the floor instead of your way, and he fidgeted with his hands.

You were quiet for a moment too long, which was enough for him to think you didn't like it. So, he turned and was about to rush into his office, before he felt your hand gently grabbing his.

"Where are you going, Poe? This is lovely."

That made his heart skip a beat. "You really think so?"

"Of course!" You leaned up to plant a kiss on his cheek. "I love it."

His cheeks flushed and his lips curved into a small smile. "Ah, that's good.." he looked back at you.

"I love you, Poe."

Your smile made him feel such happiness. You looked so pretty, like a meadow full of blooming sunflowers.

"I love you too."

I considered Dazai as another option but uh. Poe stuck more in the end.
