Throughout history, women have left an undeniable impact on society with their hard work, creativity, and dedication to progress. Unfortunately, their accomplishments have often gone unnoticed, been undervalued, or even stolen. Despite these challenges, brave women of today continue to push boundaries, break barriers, and pave the way for a more fair and equal world. It's our duty to keep going, so that future generations of women can inherit a kinder, more just, and supportive world. By following in the footsteps of the incredible women who came before us, we can create a world where every woman can flourish and succeed, and where their contributions are recognized and celebrated.
Joan of Arc is a patron saint of France, honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years' War. Claiming to be acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a savior of France. She was put on trial by Bishop Pierre Cauchon on accusations of heresy, which included blaspheming by wearing men's clothes, acting upon visions that were demonic, and refusing to submit her words and deeds to the judgment of the church. She was declared guilty and burned at the stake on 30 May 1431, aged about nineteen.
Rani Lakshmibai was the Maharani consort of the princely state of Jhansi from 1843 to 1853. She was one of the leading figures in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 became a symbol of resistance to the British rule in India for Indian nationalists. When the Maharaja died in 1853, the British East India Company under Governor-General Lord Dalhousie refused to recognize the claim of his adpoted heir and annexed Jhansi under the Doctrine of Lapse. She rode into battle with her infant son strapped to her back, and died in June 1858 after being mortally wounded during the British counterattack at Gwalior.
Rosalind Franklin was a British chemist and X-ray crystallographer whose work was instrumental in the discovery of the structure of DNA. Her contributions were largely overlooked by her male colleagues, James Watson and Francis Crick, who used her data without her permission or acknowledgement. This theft of her intellectual property and erasure of her contributions is a prime example of the systemic sexism that has historically plagued the scientific community.
Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress and inventor who co-invented a frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology during World War II that was used to guide torpedoes. However, her contributions were largely ignored and dismissed by male engineers and the military at the time. It was only later in life that she received recognition for her scientific achievements.
Emma Weyant is an American competitive swimmer. She was the US national champion at the individual medley. She qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in the 400m individual medley and won the silver medal in this event. Weyant finished second in the 500-yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. She was beaten by William (Lia) Thomas, a fetishist, who when competing as a member of the Penn men's team, which was 2018-19, ranked 554th in the 200 freestyle, 65th in the 500 freestyle and 32nd in the 1650 freestyle. Weyant is the fastest swimmer in the 500-yard freestyle and had her position stolen by a man.
Maryna Viazovska is a Ukrainian mathematician who made a breakthrough in sphere packing, solving the centuries-old mathematical problem known as the densest packing of spheres in dimensions 8 and 24. She was awarded the Fields Medal in July 2022, making her the second woman (after Maryam Mirzakhani), the second person born in the Ukrainian SSR and the first with a degree from a Ukrainian university to ever receive it.
Hannie Schaft was a Dutch resistance fighter during World War II who played a crucial role in the resistance movement against Nazi occupation. Schaft was a former university student who dropped out because she refused to sign a pledge of loyalty to Germany. Nazis arrested and killed her in 1945, just three weeks before the war ended in Europe. According to lore, Schaft’s last words were, “I’m a better shot,” after initially only being wounded by her executioner.
Shakuntala Devi was an Indian mathematician and mental calculator who was known as the "Human Computer" for her exceptional ability to perform complex mathematical calculations in her head. Her extraordinary abilities earned her a place in the 1982 Guinness Book of Records. Her lesser known achievement is that in 1977 she wrote what is considered to be the first book in India on homosexuality titled “The World of Homosexuals.”
J. K. Rowling is a British author and philanthropist. She wrote Harry Potter, a seven-volume children's fantasy series published from 1997 to 2007. Known for her philanthropy, she was doxxed and harassed after coming out with support for women's and gay rights in 2020. Rowling secretly donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to save 100 female lawyers and their families facing murder in Afghanistan. In 2022, she funded a women's only rape shelter in Edinburgh.

!! CHAPTER 7 / DIASOMNIA ARC SPOILERS !!
Hey guys I just got home and since I wanna procrastinate this is the first thing we will do
Now let's get to it (Part 1):
Picking up from where we left off, Lilia is now injured and they need to use a teleportation spell to get to the castle, but because of their state right now they can't so they have to get back on foot
The group wants to help out but Baul tells them to quit it, since they're just humans; they have no reason to fight alongside them. But Silver persists saying that he does have a reason to fight, because Lilia saved him, thus owing him (Lilia) his life, and it's not just about the humans and faes, Sebek agrees to this as well
They then start looking for brooms to use as transportation and while doing so, hear noises underground. That's when it was revealed to be 2 human chefs hiding from the chaos. They confuse Silver as "that guy" but they realize it's not him cuz his hair color is different. That's when Silver asked them for brooms, and while that was happening Sebek's stomach started growling 😭 and then everyone started looking at him BUT THEN HE STARTED TO BLAME YUU BEING ALL "THAT WASN'T ME" BUT SILVER DIDN'T BELIEVE HIM LMAOOOO
And yeah the two chefs (who are a married couple) offered to feed the group, in which Silver thanks them and the female chef comments how he (Silver) looks a lot like "him" but before Silver can ask Sebek interrupts them by asking where their storeroom
The group then heads there until Silver hears something and the group stops to see caged owls and pigeons, Sebek tells them that back in the day, people used birds to pass messages. Silver then feeds the birds bread which is once again very disney princess behavior. Stop not Grim saying something about birds not tasting good when Sebek thought of an idea about using the birds. But in reality, the plan Sebek has is for Silver to use his animal skills (aka disney princess powers) to communicate to the other birds about the trap in the Wild Rose Castle
Baul tries to stop them, but the group was really insistent about getting the job done. When Lilia asked Baul what are they up to, Baul tells him that they're doing his job; that's when Lilia gets up (despite being injured) to get their ass 💀
Once they get to the forest, Silver uses the animals to distract the Iron Men which is pretty much that one scene from Shrek with Snow White pulling the same trick on the guards 😭. That's when the battle begins....
Next: Part 2

pardon me as i'm new to non-endo and everything, so can a person just simply choose to become plural?? (this isn't aimed at you just a general question)
Somewhat controversial answer, but yeah, that is possible. Thoughtforms are typically intentionally created (I believe they're by definition intentionally created and that's what "thoughtform" means, but I could be wrong, so don't quote me on that), tulpas being the most well-known of those, and daemonism can be considered a form of plurality as well (though it's often not). It's not typically something you can just snap your fingers and do on a whim, but there are whole practices out there based on people putting time and effort into creating headmates.

that arianne chapter reconvinced me of that theory that the rest of dorne Does Not Fuck With House Dayne Anymore, like, to the rest of Westeros Arthur is a shining example of chivalry and knightly ideals, but Dorne is like “Lewyn had to be blackmailed into fighting for Rhaegar, where the fuck were you when Elia and the babies were slaughtered you useless binch?!” i just think even the other characters do not take gerold dayne even a little serious, they all are aware he’s skilled but it feels like they’re laughing at him behind his back and he knows it.

trick or treat! fandom: dc comics? 🎃
From the next yet-unposted chapter of Little Rabbit!
--
Rani barreled back into the apartment from the roof balcony like an adorable little disco ball, sporting a Yankees ballcap with the logo made out of sequins and a new jean jacket, also with sequins adorning it on all the pockets. She had new clothes on and new light-up sneakers flashing rainbows in the heels, and somehow it came as precisely no surprise to Booster that she had probably gotten Guy wrapped all the way around her pinky no less than six times while they were out, but likely more.
Booster had been half-dozing on the couch, sleeping off the excellent spare ribs Guy had apparently arranged to have delivered upstairs from the kitchen; he barely had a chance to brace himself before Rani hollered his name and landed on him, all elbows and knees, knocking half of the air out of him.
But even getting some (additional) bruises, her overwhelming joy got a breathless laugh back from him. "Good time, I'm guessing?" he asked, bodily rearranging her so she wasn't inadvertently beating him up quite so much.
"We went to Union Square!" Rani said, after hugging him; she barely paused before hopping down and turning around to show off the back of her jacket, which had the matching Yankees logo to the one on her ballcap, before turning back, bouncing on her toes, face a little flushed and eyes bright. "Guy took me to three stores just for my clothes, and I got my hair cut and new barrettes and then there was a playground in the park and I got to play, I met a bunch of other kids, and then we went to another restaurant and got lunch and we talked to a man with a funny accent who gave me lots of hard candy—" She dug a handful of wrapped hard candy out of one of her pockets and grabbed one of Booster's hands just to put it all in his palm. "—so I brought you back some, and he's the one who Guy got the tickets from for the game tonight!"
Booster looked down at his collection of gifted hard candy and smiled, a little bemused, then leaned out to set it on the coffee table. "A haircut, huh?" he asked, pulling her ballcap off and pretending to inspect her head, looking her hair over this way and that, humming thoughtfully before giving a light tug on her bangs and making her giggle. "Looks good."
"The lady who cut it was really nice and she talked like this—" Rani put on a pretty decent Brooklyn accent while she took her ballcap back and put it back on, which made Booster grin. "—and Guy got me a bottle of shampoo just for me while we were there."
There was a discussion coming about that kind of thing, Booster knew. What he didn't know was what to do with it if it went about how he expected it to go. But that wasn't really something he thought oughta involve Rani, at least not at first, so he just nodded back. "And where is Guy?"
"Right here," Guy said, walking in from the balcony with an armload of boxes and yet more of them following him in a train of green glowing bags and parcels. He could barely see over the top of the ones he was carrying in his arms, but his eyes — also green at the moment, almost eerily so — had a dare written in them. "You sure you didn't slip that kid some Red Bull or somethin' when I wasn't lookin'? She about wore me right out."
"I've been properly awake maybe a half-hour so far today. If I had a Red Bull, I wouldn't be giving it to her," Booster said back, getting up from the couch to maybe relieve Guy of a couple boxes, pulling the bill of Rani's hat down on the way by, making her squeal-laugh with false indignation. "If the stuff didn't taste like SweeTarts and stomach acid, anyway."
