I like the way that SVSSS give us way more fanfic material than your avarage Danmei. Or the lack of it.
Like, SVSSS must be one of the only Danmei that I know that has fanfics with Self-Inserts, Reincarnation, Transmigration, Fucking Omegaverse, Characther who's a god and less than 20% of them feel "cringe".
Because we basically don't have any Side Characther, Sects, Plants, We don't have shit set in stone. A SVSSS fanfic could be literally like "Shen Yuan takes Shen Qingqiu Body's when Sqq just burned down the Qiu's and now Sqq souls is in (Insert some Binghe's Wife relative or Creature with "amazing" name) as he remembers his past life and is out for blood from Lbg/Hua Hua Palace" And can be the most out of pocket thing and most random stuff that I've ever read and I'll eat that shit up with no complains.
Like, there's no rules. Want to create a Original species? Go ahead, nobody will really care and it fits the Worldbuilding. Original Chatacthers? If you've wrote more than 2 fanfics for svsss then you have at least two. Because you simply can. Because there's a shit ton of unamed side characthers. Want Self-Insert to be Best Friends with SY or any other Characther? You can be a Peak Lord, a Head Disciple, a Demon, nobody will bat an eye because it fits perfectly within the world.
I'm not saying that other Danmei's fanfictions don't gave those or Can't have those, but with Svsss it just comes naturally because there's so many open things in the novel you basically have no bounds. Because Svsss on itself is "Cringe", it's fucking satire.
Just read Shen Yuan internal monalogue throughout the whole novel.
Svsss fanfic authors have a complete different take when writing Omegaverse, I've yet to see a traditional omega verse fic. Compare it to a Mdzs or TGFC abo fanfic it feels totally different.
Like one of the Ship names that is very love is Cumplane. Fucking Cumplane. Svsss fans have no bound because svsss does not have bounds and it's fun. You don't even have to beat yourself up to come with cool and interesting names when there's a incurable poison called "No cure" and a minor characther called "Six Balls".
And if there's Plot holes, something amiss, something that doesn't make sense, way too strong protagonist halo, what do we do?
It's Airplane bro's fault. And the system's fault.
Like the whole "Shen Yuan as Xin Mo" fic is so amazing and it builds up so well, so many oc's, the pacing is amazing.
Now if you came to me with a "Wei Wuxian as Bichen" or "Hua Cheng as Fang Xin" I am ru ning and you all know very well why-
(Once again sorry for any english mistake, not my First lenguage.)

this is quite random but have you read this fic?
a star called sun: https://archiveofourown.org/works/26929630
(tw: wei ying loses his hand)
it's pretty cool. your dark lwj art sort of reminded me of it! it is cql verse and madam yu does cut off his hand and canon goes on, but the remnants of his hand and the yin iron forge together in a strange prosthetic and he forms the yilling wei sect along with xiao xingcheng, song lan and wen qing (who defects early) and later it grows and sect leader wwx with hanguang-jun as his right hand man just had me ><
No I didn't, I haven't read fics in a long time since my life is so busy :( BUT THAT SOUNDS SO INTERESTING!

Fascinated by your Avatar AU but I'm curious about something! I've heard Airbenders are usually more on the defensive side and you put WWX as one (who's pretty offensive overall), was it at random or you have something else in mind? Much love xoxo
Good question! I think that as a well-rounded and multifaceted character, you could justify Wei Wuxianâs propensity for any element. Taking into account the environment of his upbringing, his personality, his personal beliefs and moral compass, his flaws and weaknesses, as well as his martial skills and creative way of problem-solving, you could come to different conclusions as to which element he would be best suited. For example:
WWX is steadfast and stubborn in defending his beliefs and pursuing justice; qualities which are often found in earth benders. His fighting style is heavy on offensive and his mastery of swordsmanship lends itself to advanced, complex maneuvers which are characteristic of the flamboyant fire bending style. Letâs also not forget that WWX was raised in an area surrounded by lakes and waterways, and is an incredibly adept swimmer. His father was also from the area, so it wouldnât be a stretch to imagine him as a water bender. Personality-wise, WWX is a fundamentally free, generous and fun-loving individual, traits we know to be valued in air nomad culture.
Similarly, you could make arguments against his compatibility to any element. Even within the ATLA verse, every character is an individual before anything else; take Tenzin, Aangâs eldest child. Grumpy, anything but carefree, not naturally spiritual⊠heâs an air bender by lineage, education and ability but not so much in personality. Similar observations could be made about Iroh, master Pakku, and other members of the ATLA cast.
Though I initially struggled with which element to assign WWX, I ended up designating him an air bender both because of his previously stated fundamental personality traits, and for the sake of my personal ATLA-MDZS fusion world building & storyline. I wrote a post which goes into a little more detail about it in an answer to a previous ask.
I hope this somewhat answered your question! Truthfully Iâd be happy to see WWX bend any element or even be cast as the avatar ;) This is just the way I happened to go about it!

Nick and NorahÂŽs infinite playlist. (Movie vs. Book).
Nick compone algunos versos hermosos:
The way you're singing in your sleep The way you look before you leap The strange illusions that you keep You don't know But I'm noticing The way your touch turns into arcs The way you slide into the dark The beating of my open heart You don't know But I'm noticing
Creo que la versiĂłn Hollywoodense de la historia dejĂł muy mal parada a Tris, quien es por mucho el mejor personaje de la historia.

trying to motivate myself into writing again via WIP Wednesday, here's one of the more recent snippets I've written for a future Lingchi chapter, featuring Chengxian and the rumors around Wei Wuxian in that verse
Out of all the many things Wei Wuxian was infamous for, one of the most random and thus amusing things was that he was known for the gruesome murder of Jiang Chengâs would-be concubines. Jiang Cheng, it had to be said, did not have any concubines, nor any would-be concubines, nor was he interested in ever taking any. Wei Wuxian, accordingly, had never so much as touched a hair on the head of the five murdered rivals publicly accredited to him. This wasnât to say that Wei Wuxian wouldnât commit murder before he let someone get between Jiang Cheng and him, because obviously he would, but it was just⊠It was a ludicrous thought. Wei Wuxian was known to do far worse than the murders accredited to him when desperation and grief drove him to madness, but that Jiang Cheng would drive him to such a state because he put

good morning i hope your sleep was good đ«Ą and THANK YOU FOR FEEDING ME WITH THE REBLOG đ©đ©· the intrigue of astrology fengfan đ fengfan does suit a modern fantasy setting so well tbh
omg poor masaya hes just there for a good time LMAO đ iâm sure fengfan wouldnt start anything tho,,, not unless you bring masaya over to meet him. although i think fengfan would just be like a cat and glare at him from across the room while masaya happily admires the ć°çșąäčŠ aesthetic (this is also completely random but if you know the chinese actor wei daxun. he looks like masaya to me. especially when he smiles)
and also omg my toxic trait is thinking i could convert you into liking mooncakes,,, NOT TO BRAG BUT we make these awesome tasting ones in my family and it makes all the other mooncakes taste mid when i try them,,, weâre making them again for äžç§è this year im excited
IT WAS GOOD i woke up and wasn't struggling like a half alive bug on a windowsill which is generally how i feel. so thank you LOL i hope whenever your sleep is, it's good too!!!!!!
i KNOW he's such a versatile guy. hell i could even put him in a ä»äŸ au and it would make sense.... witch au fengfan would be funny too you go to a kind of run down wooden shack at the edges of the forest that looks one gust of wind away from collapse to find the solitary owner of it to just be a young guy
someone free him lol.... but tbf he really does just get dirty looks and whilst he IS taken aback he also is mentally secure enough to just not take it to heart that much. omfg organising a play date between the two is objectively a bad idea but SUBJECTIVELY??? funniest thing ever. masaya awkwardly tries to initiate contact and fengfan just nods at him... if they saw past their differences (fengfan forgets that you went to his stall) they would probably be good friends LMAO
ok i can't lie i'm so poorly versed with the chinese entertainment world. i know all the big singers like ćšæ°äŒŠćŒ ćŠćæć»șçç and like. tfboys and æ¶ä»Łć°ćčŽćą. but my actor knowledge is so not there i know èæ and çäžć and like the main cast of ć„è·ć§ć
ćŒ but that's IT. my friend is the go to c drama watcher so i tend to just ask her for help when it comes to this........ what about you?? you seem like you actually know what's going on but ANYWAYS i searched him up and you're. you're right. oh my days you're right
AHHHHHH i WISH i could try one omg.... what type of mooncake filling do you guys use? do you make the traditional pastry mooncake?? wait do you actually like. make everything from scratch that is so much effort kudos to your family đ most of the time my family just gets those boxed ones and calls it a day LOL
#speaking of äžç§è makes me think of éć€æ idk how many years it's been since i've learnt that poem but it's still there. still in my head......#asks#SORRY I YAPPED QUITE A BIT TAKE YOUR TIME#thanks for coming by!!!!!!!!!!#EDIT I ASKED THE IRL AND APPARENTLY WEI DAXUN HAS GUESTED SO MUCH ON BENPAOBA THAT HES GOT A SPECIAL NAME

Finally got around to watching MDZS Season 3
How did Xue Yang know Wei Wuxian was back? Jin Guangyao didnât know, Nie Huaisang wouldnât have told him, no one in Yi City would know either.
A-Qing is weirdly busty for a teenage beggar.
The timeline for the donghua is so f-ed up, if I didnât know the plot already Iâd have a hard time understanding whatâs going on.
Lan Zhan has absolutely no thoughts in his head while drunk.
âJust donât antagonize anyone.â Lan Zhan knew WWX could not follow that for even 5 minutes and probably not even 1 minute.
Probably not the first time someone tried to convince Qin Su that her husband was responsible for Rusongâs death. I wonder what Bicao either mentioned or wrote that convinced her. Or why she already had doubts about Jin Guangyao that made her believe the letter.
Still canât figure out how weâre supposed to believe Meng Yao killed Wen Ruohan without help.Â
(Random thought: Wen Qing was helping Meng Yao poison Wen Ruohan and the reason the Dafan Wen ended up in the worst of the Jin concentration camps was because he was trying to deliberately silence her.)
Canât see why Nie Mingjue went ahead with the sworn brothers thing either. Meng Yao definitely bought his life with his actions but I donât see why they would want to associate with each other ever again. (Well, Meng Yaoâs motivation is clear, ambition and access to power, but Nie Mingjueâs is not.)
Is WWX and LWJ dyeing their clothes red supposed to be romantic?
Xichen being the one who sent Sisi and Bicao to be witnesses puts an interesting spin on things.
Getting Sisiâs memories through Inquiry does seem more credible than just having two witnesses just show up to give testimony.
NHS, you really went out of your way to get caught, didnât you?
No one expects Jin Ling, do they?
Xichen, NHS didnât even get hit in this adaptation, why are you giving him medicine?
This oneâs not very nice to Xichenâs character, he really does look like a fool.
From a Doyalist perspective, NHS is the only candidate for mastermind, given that heâs the only surviving Nie with screentime and NMJ being the severed corpse. But from a Watsonian perspective it could be anyone who admired NMJ or hated JGY. I would not want to prove a case against NHS.
WWXâs discretion is all over the place. He canât last 5 minutes in the conference without antagonizing everyone else, but knows better than to let NHS know that he knows about the plot, then breaks into the Lotus Pier Ancestral Hall when he hasnât been part of the Jiang sect since his first life.
It really is supposed to be a marriage isnât it?
Why did WWX think that giving LWJ alcohol would go any better this time?
I guess the change in the timeline explains why JWY went into seclusion, he no longer has JGYâs death to distract him from the revelations.
NHS had an easy time becoming Chief Cultivator in this verse.
Whereâs Mianmian at the end?

Hello.....What do you think are the occupations of your fav MDZS characters in modern AU? Sorry for the random ask (and if you've already answered before)....
I know I've talked about Modern AU careers for characters before, but I don't think I've made a specific post about it, so thanks for the opportunity!
Jiang Cheng - Either a lawyer, a wedding planner, or a fashion designer. I made up an AU for that first one last year (it is Chengning btw) because I thought his sharpness and directness with words would serve him well in a courtroom. I never considered the second option until I read about wedding planner!JC in ScarlettStorm's OnlyFans AU-verse, at which point I had to take a second to just go 'Why did I not think of this before?'. It's about the schedules and the hyperfocused planning, which fits him well. I haven't read any fics with JC as a fashion designer yet but it's just something I've felt in my bones since my first watch of CQL ever. Look at this man's wardrobe. I'm half-convinced JC canonically draws the designs for his own robes.
Wen Ning - I like to picture him most as a vet, honestly. Parallels his family being healers/doctors, and I love the image of him working with animals and handling them gently. It might be soothing for him. That being said, I believe I've also read a fic or two where he's a child counselor or something along those lines, and that's another path I like for him.
Wen Qing - I really cannot see her as anything but a doctor or a surgeon. It's her pride and her priority to save people, so I will leave her to her job. She's fantastic at it in any universe.
Wei Wuxian - He's either an engineer where he can invent and put together all the things he wants all day long, or he's an artist of some sort. Maybe he has a studio. Or, tattoo artist!WWX is an image I enjoy very much.
Jin Ling & Lan Jingyi - As far as I'm concerned the juniors are teenagers or children in Modern AUs. They don't need to worry about career stuff yet. However I think both these two would go into the STEM side of things. (For the record, Sizhui is a humanities/social sciences kid even though I don't know what specialization, and I believe in English major Ouyang Zizhen.)
Thanks for the ask!

Could you give your character song thoughts?
I'D LOVE TO
first things first, all of my opinions are owed to @hunxi-guilai's amazing translations, without which i'd have no thoughts
(the fact that i only entered this fandom just as hunxi was leaving is a source of endless sorrow to me but that's another point)
i find them SO fascinating as a piece of, like, semi-official meta, and i have so many questions about who writes these and how they're produced and how this tradition emerged etc. the fact that the actors don't speak in their own voices as the characters, but do sing as them!!! wild. i also know there's a lot of weirdness about, like, agents and studios dictating who performs on the album and who doesn't, but that's also a fascinating breakdown on a meta level.
but anyway, here are my top five, in track order:
Qu Jin Chen Qing: lyrically and musically this captures Wei Wuxian's energy so so well, and I think Xiao Zhan is not only probably the best pop singer in the cast, his voice really suits the character. I love the lyrics of both the Lan brothers' songs (especially Xichen's), but they both have these very breathy voices that I personally dislike, but also I think are so totally unsuited for the characters. get some baritones!
Hen Bie: The song (along with Xichen's) that epitomizes my questions about who writes these, and how much they can be taken as the actor or production team or whoever's view on a character. A song that says Justice For Jiang Cheng Stans as we imagine Jiang Cheng drinking alone at night being sad. Wang Zhoucheng clearly comes from a different vocal training than anyone else and he sounds great. That said, I wish they'd let him sing in the lower register that clearly suits his voice better, and I think could have been really fitting for Jiang Cheng as a character as well.
Qing He Jue: I've definitely seen meta about like... which of the Nie brothers is singing this? Or which verses belong to which of them? I don't particularly love the lyrics, but I find it fun to listen to. The really ballad-y chorus is great.
Gu Cheng: A slightly random one, maybe!! I really liked the sound of this one initially-- I find the harmony sections really pleasing to listen to in purely aesthetic terms. And then I read Hunxi's translation suggesting that the singers are A-Qing and Song Lan and the fact that THESE characters would get a song brings me SUCH JOY. There is something so haunting and perfect about them singing about Xiao Xingcheng rather than him getting to sing for himself, and also Justice For Song Lan and A-Qing, hell yes they deserve a song. As a semi-confessed Xue Yang-disliker (he's fine idk), I like the change of pace of a perspective on the Yi City arc that's purely Xiao Xingchen (and the singers') tragedy.
Duo Hen Sheng: I gotta. What a goddamn weird song. Musically completely different from literally everything else, lyrically fascinating in that it offers a way more complex accounting of Jin Guangyao's thoughts and motivations than the show actually does. Do we take this as the creative team tipping their hand about the perspective they couldn't include in the show? Or just a songwriter who needed enough narrative tension to sustain lyrics? Also there just aren't a lot of relatively high-tempo songs on the album, so I like the change of (literal) pace.
(The last three songs are all done by non-cast professionals, so obviously vocally they're all great.)
Honorable mention: Zui Shi Shao Nian Bu Ke Qi. It just makes me laugh. The lyrics are so self-serious, and I just picture the juniors absolutely going for it in some really dramatic music video whenever I listen.

wwx accidentally got pregnant via spiritual energy overload in your verse. if parentage is determined based on spiritual energy, how does one not get accidentally impregnated accidentally via some random person? like...if some generous jin helped wwx after his ankle incident instead of lwj. or just any healer helping their patient via energy transfer
This was expanded upon more clearly in the TMAAF verse, but Wei Wuxian began working with the water in the Cold Pond Cave as an ingredient to create new healing talismans shortly after moving to Gusu. The water was incredibly rich with the same kind of spiritual energy Lan Xichen has (the healing/creative kind, which is why Lan disciples often went there to meditate or heal injuries/sickness) and Wei Wuxian was overexposed to it due to both being partially submerged in the water for long periods of time and drinking it when he got thirsty instead of carrying normal water with him.
The water had also absorbed Lan Yiâs life force over the hundreds of years she spent guarding the Yin Iron there (since TMAAF follows CQL canon) so the energy essentially gained its own consciousness after percolating in WWXâs empty lower dantian for a while and decided that it wanted to be a person. This was only possible because Wei Wuxian a) spent so much time touching/drinking Very Magic Water, b) had a working set of spiritual veins from his time as a cultivator, c) had an empty dantian for the energy to collect in, and d) wanted another child. He was convinced that having a third child would tie Lan Wangji to him for longer than necessary, but he did want one, so the new spirit just hanging out in his dantian sensed that and decided to become a child to make him happy.
However, A-Lanâs physical development still needed a touch of normal spiritual energy to kick itself into motion, and Lan Wangji provided that when he passed spiritual energy to Wei Wuxian to heal his sprained ankle. Wei Shuilan actually being Lan Wangjiâs daughter is a result of Wei Wuxianâs love for him, and A-Lanâs spirit recognizing how much her parents cared about each other--her spirit made an active decision to integrate Lan Wangjiâs spiritual energy rather than just using it, which is why Lan Wangji and Wei Shuilan are in fact biological father and daughter in the renouncement verse.
If anyone else had healed WWXâs ankle or given him spiritual energy, A-Lan would still have been born, but probably at a later date. She was aware that Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian were in love with each other, and would have chosen to wait for Lan Wangjiâs spiritual energy so that she could truly be âtheirâ child rather than being related only to Wei Wuxian.

Wei Ying slowly opened his eyes. They widened at the sight of several small floating orbs of water passing by his face before merging back into the water on the other side of Lan Wangji. He blinked at Lan Wangji for several moments then sat upright.
âYou can control water?â he exclaimed, the force of his movement almost breaking Lan Wangjiâs concentration keeping them steady on the water. He wobbled astride Lan Wangjiâs tail and had to grab at his sides to steady himself.
âMn,â Lan Wangji said, drinking in the pure joy and awe in Wei Yingâs expression.
He was always so easily delighted by the things Lan Wangji could do with his jiaoren spiritual energy.
âLan Zhan, thatâs...â
Lan Wangji reached for the energies flowing through the water again, closing his eyes to concentrate better. He had managed much more than little balls of water when he had been practising alone, but Wei Ying was such a distraction he wasnât sure he could manage more if he could see Wei Ying looking at him with such wonder.
- A Charming Distraction
This has been a collab looong in the making. @fleetofshippyships and I decided that she would write a drabble, and I would draw for it as a joint kind of thing, and it was such a fun thing to do! Itâs all based on a joke about someone mentioning a whale in her main merfolk series...so there might be more random whales making random appearances in the future.
This whole story verse sheâs conjuring up with her Merman Lan Wangji AU has my whole heart, and I will never tire drawing for it, no matter if it is as a collaboration, or if itâs just me reading her fics and screaming âI WANNA DRAW THISâ after every single damn scene. XD
Thank you so much for wanting to collab with me on this, love! :D

Random Guardian thought that's been plaguing me again
I wonder if drama-verse Shen Wei ever got to the point where he just didn't want to continue anymore; the weight on his shoulders and his own grief, self-blame and longing got too much for him.
Of course, as Zhao Yunlan had said to Ye Zun, Shen Wei would never worry about whether or not the sacrifices he makes are worth it or not because his sense of duty is too strong. So no matter how heavy the weight of his responsibilities got and how hard things were, he wouldn't even think of abandoning everything and committing suicide. But I believe, until some point in between episode 24 and episode 35, Shen Wei was looking for that final purpose he could serve that would mark the end of his responsibilities and pain.
I do believe that after meeting Zhao Yunlan, Shen Wei became happier. But it doesn't make sense for all those 10,000+ years (dormant or no) of suffering and duty before and after Kunlun to be completely wiped away without a trace and replaced by the few months, a year or two at most, he spent with Zhao Yunlan as Kunlun and as himself. So when he was with Zhao Yunlan, his primary concern became ensuring Zhao Yunlan's happiness and health, duty to Dixing-Haixing citizens taking the backseat, and still his own happiness and future with Zhao Yunlan having not even entered the car. He didn't think he had the privilege to expect such things, so his silent suffering continued and the subconscious want of that final purpose did too.
Then came Ye Zun, and Zhao Yunlan went blind. I don't think for a moment that Shen Wei trading his life for Zhao Yunlan's health with the Sundial by exchanging their ailments and becoming a walking bomb was a calculated move (episode 22 - 23). Shen Wei has duty towards Zhao Yunlan and peace, duty he can't fulfill if dead. He was desperate and guilty, all logic be damned. But once the damage was done, he found a way to utilise his end and serve the final purpose, rather than let it go to waste and kind of unintentionally pinning it all on Zhao Yunlan, hope that makes sense. He didn't feel too bad about the part that involves him dying, he probably felt bad about becoming weaker and increasing the possibility of people around him being hurt and him being unable to protect them properly.
Then things start to change from episode 24 onwards, where essentially Zhao Yunlan tells him that he wants Shen Wei by his side through thick or thin. And eventually Shen Wei starts to have a change of heart, and starts to want to live. He starts to want to live for himself and for the possibility of a future with Zhao Yunlan that's beyond his duties. But by then he had already kind of traded it away. Of course, his sense of duty is still too strong, and although this new wanting-to-live thing makes it harder for him, it also gives him added strength in the last moment to carry outwhat he must do to protect the symbol of all that's good in his life, Zhao Yunlan, and the citizens of Dixing and Haixing.
Unfortunately, the moment Shen Wei left, Zhao Yunlan ties up some loose ends he could tie up because his sense of responsibilities compels him, drops everything like a pile of dirty laundry, and yeets himself into the damn Guardian Lantern because he would rather do that then be in a reality without Shen Wei by his side.
Then, post-canon-fix-it fanfics may take the wheel because this is too freaking sad. ;-;
(This is from a youtube comment I made over a year ago under a Guardian FMV about Shen Wei being suicidal. I stumbled upon it today and thought it should go on my blog, with some edits lol. ^^)
