So this is my best piece of writing for a roleplay I’m doing and it’s very angsty

Anyways here you go

(TW: CHARACTER DEATH, TORTURE, CHARACTER GOING INSANE)

Wilbur pulled Ranboo down a bit and placed to sword at their throat “*Tommy*.” He interrupted, sharply, coldly. “Would you like to repeat yourself or do I have to split your friend in two? L’Manburg is freedom, Tommy! Freedom from Dream! And what are you doing? Siding with *him*, we fought for our country to even be recognised. And now! Who was once so *high and mighty* is at *my* mercy. We can do whatever we want now, Tommy! We can be gods!” His face spread into a sadistic smile. “Freedom for those who choose to be on our side, *the right side.*” he shoved a shock rod into Ranboo’s side, with the excitement of a child who learned they could rip the wings off of flies, or discovered they could burn ants with just a single magnifying glass.

Ranboo screamed and Wilbur let go, they fell to their knees in pain, holding their side.

Michael ran forward and patted Ranboo’s shoulder gently “Boo. Boo is okay! Is okay!” He tried to comfort, tears welling up in his eye. “Boo! Is gonna be okay!”

Ranboo smiled at Michael and cupped the boys face in his hands “Yeah. Yeah of course it’s gonna be okay. Just gotta deal with Wilbur.”

Michael ran in front of Ranboo and stood defensively in front of them. “No more hurt! No more hurt Boo!”

Wilbur smiled more, pulling out his sword again. “Oh, if you insist. I’d hate for your wishes to go unanswered for.” He stepped forward.

Michael stood bravely between Ranboo and Wilbur, arms outstretched with a determined look on his face. “No more hurt Boo!” He demanded as Wilbur got closer, he stood strong, bravely in front of Ranboo.

And that was when time seemed to go in slow motion, or maybe it was in slow motion.

Nobody could tell.

But as Michael stood there, protectively, bravely, heroically in front of his parent, Wilbur’s sword thrust his sword forward. Ranboo pulled Michael away a second too late, the sword hit the small boy in the side, cutting through his skin. Cutting through the fabric.

The first blood had been shed.

The first drop of blood to fall on the battlefield was that of a child.

Ranboo held Michael close as the boy was bleeding, Michael looked up, smiling a bit at Ranboo “Did…Did I do….good?” They nodded quickly, tears running down their face “You did amazing, you’re so brave Michael, just stay here. Just stay with me, okay?” Micheal smiled and let out a soft ‘oink’. “So…so I…did good…?” Ranboo nodded again “Yes, oh god, yes Michael. You did wonderfully. Please just keep your eye open okay? Can you do that for me? Please?” Michael coughed and curled up in Ranboo’s arms a bit “O…Okay.” Ranboo brushed a strand of hair away from Michael’s face. “You’re gonna be okay, you’re gonna be fine, alright? Everything’s gonna be alright, okay?” Michael nodded slowly, his hands clutching Ranboo’s shirt “Boo…Ichael did…good right? You…proud…of…me?” “Of course. Of course I am Michael. I’m very proud. You’re very brave.” Ranboo said, tears running down their cheeks faster and faster.

Michael gripped Ranboo’s shirt tighter “I…I don’t wanna go, Boo.” Ranboo sniffled, shaking his head “You’re not going anywhere. It’s…it’s okay. Just stay here with me, Michael…just-..” Michael’s grip on their shirt loosened “-Stay-…” his hands fell away from their shirt. “-���here.” Ranboo clutched his child tightly, shaking him a bit “Michael? MichaEL!? MICHAEL!” They held Michael close, sobbing and shaking the boy.

Silence had fallen among the troops as Ranboo held Michael close, as they cried.

The silence was broken by Wilbur’s laughter.

This man.

This man had just killed a child.

And was laughing.

He was laughing.

Nah man this 8ft black and white thing wandered onto my lawn AGAIN this is the third time I’m calling his husband to come pick them up!!!

hc that tubbo is REALLY insecure about his missing eye, so he wears an eyepatch in new l’manberg and absolutely hates it. it’s too big and garish, it rubs up on his wounds all wrong, he hates seeing himself with it. it makes him feel weak. ranboo notices (of course he does) and thinks that tubbo deserves to feel handsome again. they set off after a cabinet meeting to see if ghostbur has any books on prosthetics.

it should be noted that ranboo has no fucking clue what they’re doing. in the weeks after the plans inception, he has amassed over fifty handcrafted glass eyes, of which exactly zero will work. they’re too big, too small, not the right color. he even managed to make one with a rectangular pupil before they thought better of it. it's a shame, too, that was his best one yet. they're tired and frustrated and the eye collection is really starting to creep him out. ranboo considers asking for help.

ranboo remembers the tumultuous political state of new l'manburg.

ranboo thinks this may be a one-man project.

it really shouldn’t be a surprise that tubbo finds out. they've been practically attached at the hip since ranboo joined, and he was never any good at keeping things from tubbo anyway. they're popping over to ranboo's to get supplies for whatever adventure they're going on today, and the little chest labeled SECRET DO NOT OPEN is too full, propped open with dozens of lumpy glass spheres. tubbo notices (of course he does) and gets halfway through a i can't believe you have an eye fetish before he realizes. ranboo thinks it's a bad sign when he goes silent and an even worse one when his eye goes all misty and aw shit he made the president cry.

he's stuttering through an apology when tubbo's one eye meets their two and he asks is this for me? did you make these for me? ranboo nods and tubbo smiles like a kid on christmas, watery and bright. they've missed that smile. before he knows what's happening, tubbo's tackled them into a hug, sending both of them careening to the ground. ranboo vows there and then to give the man anything and everything he desires now and forever, just so he can feel like this again. not a veteran, not a politician, just tubbo, carefree and kind.

yeah, that sounds like a good life.

as quickly as ranboo went down, he's being pulled back up with tubbo insisting that they try every single eye, previous adventure abandoned. they spend the day like that, going through the chest, laughing at some of ranboos earlier attempts, and screaming with excitement when one managed to fit.

he looks beautiful. more confident, brighter, somehow. they burn his eyepatch that night. ranboo had already gotten him a better one anyway.

Summary: techno has always been a soft touch when it comes to stray animals. he has an entire menagerie to back that claim up and so when he finds a rabbit in the woods on the brink of death, he brings it home and tends to it.

but there’s something about the rabbit that’s familiar and now techno has to figure out what exactly his act of kindness has gotten him into.
