He says he's whole galaxies encased behind patient smiles but if that's the case then Kain is the sheer force and magnitude of it all that makes those universes spin. Surely the star particles that created him date back to the spiral itself. Surely Kain is more closely related to the ancients than even he knows.

Surely, because he's managed to steal his heart all over again in a few short words. He's pulled the air from his lungs as he somehow causes the Misterican to hold his breath even if only for a moment. Pale hands intertwine with calloused fingers as a low sounding purr leaves the form clad from head to toe in white.

What do they think?! Do they know he's just trying his best? He always does his best and all they do is being pain in the ass.

"Mikä vitsi" he angrily said and tossed his helmet with gloves on the table with loud thud. /what a joke/

You watched him, knowing that underneath his tough and angry exterior, he was feeling a lot of pressure. Leaning against the doorway, you spoke softly, "They'll always want more, Kimi. But you know your worth. You're a champion and they should have known that too."

He scoffed, his frustration evident. "Tell that to them." he muttered, his Finnish accent thick with irritation. "All they want is better performance, like I don't do that."

He was hard on himself because everyone else was hard on him too. Only you were kind and loving to him.

He put his head in his hands and sighed a little. You didn't like how they were treating him, he deserves better and both of you know it. More importantly, he knew it.

But you also knew that he would do anything to win. To be a winner, to stand on the top with a trophy above his head, as champagne drips from his red race suit.

"You don't have to prove anything to anyone, you know?" you reassured him, stepping closer and then sitting next to him on the sofa. "You did great for me Kimi." You kissed his side of the head and took his hands into yours.

"One day you will tell them all about yourself" you spoke as you looked into his icy eyes. "You just have to hold on a little bit longer."

"Rakastan sinua lumihiutale." Kimi slowly whispered. He lowered his head closer to yours and captured your lips into his, kissing you softly. /I love you snowflake/

"I love you too Kimi.”

⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ "Rakastan Sinua." He cries again as he pushes his nose into the the Amestrian's neck and thin but strong arms keep their hold on the man within them.

"Rakastan Sinua niin paljon."

The words leave in a flood as he clings and nuzzles his face in deeper as if he feels like he could push past flesh and hide inside this man's very presence. As if this man is the only solid ground he's ever known. Their worlds have crumbled out from beneath his feet and he doesn't have the strength to keep himself in the air.

How long has he been drowning to finally feel like he has fresh air in his lungs for the first time in what feels likes forever? Mist heaves out of his chest as his mouth hangs open with his sobs and the thick white clouds continue to pool on top of the mattress and then sink further to the floor all around them.

The room is growing foggier by the second as the Misterican clings and sobs. They both are holding onto the other so desperately and the thing about it all is that - there's no shame in it. The prince doesn't feel as though he needs to hide this supreme desire to be held and supported when he's with this man - this human. His best friends seemed to be everything except Misterican and he doesn't know how that quite happened but yet it doesn't seem to bother him.

He will need to bother him later about his Amestris - if he is willing to speak of it. He wants to learn his written language. He wants to learn the quirks of his tongue. He wants to know about his life. He wants Kain to be here forever and always and it's warming to hear him say such things as I love you and I'll be here 'til you ask me to leave.

"I don't want you to." He heaves out as another puff of mist falls from his lips in a thick cloud. "I don't want you to leave. I just want you to stay here with me. We don't need to do anything. Just lay here with me. We can just sleep and I'd be happy."

His words come out fumbled and rushed as his hands twist to grip a little more urgently before they ease and release their hold. Slowly does he back away, with crystal staining jade colored vision.

"Just stay here with me for the night. Please. Just stay here and lay with me. Rakastan Sinua, ystäväni. Rakastan Sinua niin paljon."

Slowly, the technician's left hand finds its way into his friend's hair, just so he can be there to hopefully stick some of these broken pieces back together. His heart is breaking nearly in half as he listens to the sobs coming one after another.

White Cloud, or Kumo, or Pilvi, or whatever other name - Kain doesn't care as long as he can know for sure this man in his arms is held tight because it's so clear he desperately needs it.

The phrase rakastan sinua leaves the Misterican's lips once more, and though he has not one clue what it could possibly mean, the words that follow are more than enough to satisfy. Maybe two hearts are being haphazardly sewn back together with shaking but still-caring hands tonight rather than just one.

In this place, in this room alone he finds everything he's ever needed. And while he can't manage a hug as strong as Pilvi's, he sure as hell can try.

"I think you can," he replies, though the words are not very loud. They can't get past the wall in his throat very effectively, but it doesn't matter because Pilvi will surely hear them given how close they are in proximity.

"Thank you. I love you. I'll be here 'til you ask me to leave."

Not too long ago, he'd said his home could burn. Now he understands that Amestris isn't home. Neither is Wonderland, really - no, he finally gets that home is wherever his friends are, wherever love can be found. That's what home is.

Finally, finally the man lost at sea has found the shore. And his legs are shaking as he stands on solid ground for the first time, but he knows in his heart he'll grow used to it in time and be grateful for the security. His arms are so tired from rowing, but his journey is over and now he can finally just come home.
