Holiday Unboxing Marathon (25/?)

Well here's my first (possibly last) RH Color & Create doll. Since these girls are sent out into the world nameless I think I'll call her Branwen.

I ordered this doll because I was curious to experiment with the watercolor/tie-dye gimmick, but until I work myself into the right mood to deal with that amount of mess I'm happy to just leave her as-is (if I catch a sale maybe I'll buy another so I have one to mess around with and one to leave pristine).

I love her deep brown eyes and neutral makeup, but the biggest draw for me was her outfit. Maxi skirt! I think this may be a unique occurrence in Rainbow High.

I’ve mentioned before that I love a doll with a gimmick, so when I saw the new Rainbow High Color & Create dolls I immediately wanted to give them a try. Since I also really like the all white hair/clothes aesthetic as well I bought one to keep all original and one to customize:

The markers aren’t very saturated so the colors are much softer that the marker caps would seem to indicate but I think my little custom looks very cute.

seeing the Color & Create dolls got me thinking... can i use other brands of washable markers on them?

so you know i had to experiment! and YES! you can use other washable markers on the color and create dolls!! every color went on well and washed out cleanly, i used warm water and scrubbed gently with baby soap! (since both shirts are the same material i tested 1). a part 2 after her hair dries will be done

This is a combination of a lot I got second hand for like 10 bucks a doll (only accessories missing were combs and hangers!!), one gifted to me, and the rest bought from the shop MGA website during their cyberweek sales. Blu Brooks is the only doll I paid full price for but she's so worth it!

This batch completes my New Friends set, and my Shadow High series 3 set, and I officially have all the boy dolls : )
