The first sleeve of my rainbow swirls jacket is done (for now)!

I’ll probably go back later and make the rainbow wider, possibly going all the way around the sleeve, but for now it’s complete

With chapter 3 of Porcelain Veneer posted, I can now share Legato's design page! Ignore the part where I technically spoiled this chapter with a tiny Legato.

Below the cut are my design notes, along with some original concepts I drew a year ago when I first thought of this au. How far we've come...

It's fun to see which details I kept and which fell away in favor of other ideas.

Fun fact! Legato was originally supposed to be confused with Linkle during Hyrule Warriors. The base concept for this au was that Legend was trying to use the Harp of Ages to visit the Chain, but he kept missing. This involved him saving baby Malon, having tea with a sorceress named Cialana, hanging out with baby Wild, crashing through Midna's window, and being a thorn in the side of Ghirahim. All with the punchline that everyone had shown up at his house the second he left.

Obviously, things didn't go the way I was expecting, but I think I'm happy with what I ended up doing :3

#i didn't get rid of legato's poncho until i was halfway through writing the series #to this day i fear that one mention of his hood will have somehow snuck past my rounds of editing #(yeah it's walking the line of what counts as a poncho but it was gonna be sewn shut at the top so shhh)#did i go a bit too hard on rendering caladbolg? maybe. but consider this: i love my color-of-the-sky rainbow sword of high damage/wide rang #e #literally the only thing wrong with it is that i can't use a shield. but i forget to shield like half the time anyway so that's irrelevant #LU Doppelgänger AU #my art #nothing really demonstrates how much your artstyle changes like having new art alongside stuff from last year in the same post

I've decided that I'm going to post him anyway. Here's my redition of Ruko but he's Purple™. This was supposed to be a sketch, but it ended up being too good to leave alone lol. I saw someone else post a drawing of Ruko with body hair and I'm pretty sure it turned me slightly feral so I had to draw him with even more. I'm very proud it!

🎊 toki! I'm Muffin! Let's celebrate by drawing our sonas in silly party outfits 🎊

For my birthday (Dec 2nd) I thought… what would be a better gift than getting to see so many diffrent sonas? Especially if it’s of my friends, moots and possible future friends! I designed a party version of my sona and am hoping others will draw their own sonas in outfits to match that aesthetic

The plan is to draw submitted sonas in a big drawing at the end of the event! If you’re interested feel free to read more but if not please reblog this post anyway so that others can participate!

How To Participate:

1. Reblog this post with the specific tag #RSVP so I know you’re interested! 🎉

2. Submit your sona design! I am gathering the designs beforehand to hopefully get a head start on the group drawing. You can submit a design by sending me an ask with a reference! Simply draw your sona matching the outfit shown below. It can be a quick sketch, I just request it be fully colored- Also please include height or approximate size plus any other important details in the ask!

3. Attend the magma! I will have a magma open Nov 29th - Dec 3rd where I’ll be drawing and doodling throughout the days ( this is optional! But feel free to join me! )

4. I will do my best to draw all sonas submitted to me before Dec 1st in a group photo!
