probably a tie between Of Sand and Time or diamonds, they shine in the dark now . i think s&t hits way harder cuz its not a dynamic written about often and its an (unlikely) scenario that couldve happened if varie showed up later

dipping the ego - hnk euclapis fic

something to help brighten radishleaf on discord’s day. hope it’s...alright, i’m not good at writing buncha smarty pants’s.

dropping to the ground gracefully with a spin lapis flipped their hair lightly as the ship disintegrating behind them as euclase paused in their running to watch; flabbergasted by the strategy...and perhaps the ending execution of the gem’s graceful landing, but that was something they would never state aloud.

“how was that~?” they asked with a subtle purr behind their voice as euc stood straighter, clearing their throat despite nothing in there to get lodged into for such a reaction. “that was, impressive.”

“wasn’t it~?” they replied in a knowing manner as they rubbed their hair lightly to keep any tangles from it. “i’ve noticed lately their trajectories seem to be correlating close to the way the oceans move in the winter from what antarc’s told me. it was easy to outrun~.”

as they boasted themself euc noticed once their hair was down enough the ship was still dissolving, there was a small flash of something...green, heading for them, specifically the head of lazulli. taking out their sword euc took a quick step but paused as their hand got to lapis’s shoulder; they gave a smirk, a better idea brewed immediately.

moving it to their hip they immediately spun them to infront of them. dipping them in the process as euc moved their sword to behind themself, deflecting the green diamond spear with a clank as they smirked at the bluenette. currently their face was a hue of blue coming over the powder.

“so, tell me about how you found out that trajectory hm~?” they teased gaining a choked response from a speechless lazulli.

....only to be followed by a yelp as they and euc’s arm fell in the process of it breaking off, groaning as euc put their hands to their mouth in surprise but keeping the sword safely away from their face. “right...almost forgot about that.”

“sorry.”

“it’s alright ehehe. course uhm, you can make it up by making sure all my pieces are there right?” the still flustered lapis gave a weak thumbs up as euclase giggled; they quite liked this type of lapis.

Red Beryl/Obsidian 

              “Beryl, please,” Obsidian whined, holding his hands out in defiance as Red Beryl finished taking his measurements. Ribbons were wrapped around his arms and legs and body, and he felt somewhat trapped by the restrictive coils. “I need to get back to work!”

              “This is work,” Red Beryl shot back, grabbing Obsidian’s arm and holding it upright. He took his measuring tape and placed it along the arm, tsking to himself as he mentally jotted down his notes. ‘My work! And what is more important than fashion?”

              “Literally everything,” Obsidian muttered. Red Beryl released his arm, and Obsidian let it hang heavy at his side. “Bort is going to be mad if I don’t finish his new sword by sundown.”

              “Bort is always mad,” Red Beryl countered. Obsidian found he couldn’t argue with that. “And once he sees the new outfit I’m making, he’ll totally forgive you! The winter clothes this year are going to be amazing.” Red Beryl took a step back, beaming. “And all because of you!”

              “Me?” Obsidian repeated, somewhat perplexed. He had come as had been requested (as had often been requested) but he still found it somewhat surprising to be singled out as inspiration.

              “My favourite model!” Red Beryl said, clasping his hands together and admiring the strands of ribbons he’d wrapped around his subject. The beginnings of his vision were coming together quite nicely. “Besides Dia, of course, but he’s always out fighting. You’re availability makes you the best subject of them all!”

              “But I’m not available all the time!” Obsidian pouted, tugging at one of the ribbons tied around his neck. Red Beryl made a noise of warning (seriously, how could one gem change from lovable to terrifying so quick?) and Obsidian stopped. “I’m busy! I am,” he thought for a moment, pouting. “Right?”

              “Sure, you are!” Red Beryl stepped forwards. He gripped Obsidian’s arm, turning it over in his hands. Obsidian allowed him, watching with curiosity as Red Beryl hummed to himself and traced along the inner most bit of his arm. “Busy being my model.”

              Obsidian wrenched free from his grasp and let out a curse. Red Beryl laughed, and the sound echoed loud and shrill throughout the halls of the school.
