Hi guys I'm back haha

Finally got the rabits album after waiting all the grueling months

So I love the theming in the album soso much, definitely better than the previous one BUT I prefer the stuff that came with the limited edition in the first one more (art book and acrylic stand) but this album is soso cute and ofc the music is good, it's rabits after all.

Pre-ordered off of amiami so no preorder bonus unfortunately but I did order off of animate for the fine one so I will actually get a pre order bonus this time haha

But my favorite things abt this album are definitely the case that turns into a little travel bag once you take the plastic art off, the passport with the special CD lyrics inside, and ofc the ID cards!!

still very much not over the ra*bits trip album but i just saw the teaser image for the fine album cover reveal tomorrow and im nothing if not incredibly scared for what a new yuzuru solo might do to my sanity . and to take into account the haniwa day livestream and maybe a possible 2nd lxl album i dont think ill survive

I believe you are right, anon! Kobayashi was brought on shortly after the release of the Ra*bits TRIP album, and Mitsuru hasn't featured in a new song since his seiyuu change.

Although, I'm not a Ra*bitsP, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I ranked enstars trip albums by how much i want to wear the outfits.👍🏾 rambling below cut

fine - tori makes this outfit look so cute but i just dont think it would look that good on me 😔 also i dont like pants that hang above my ankles. the fit itself is super cute and i have nothing against it tho

trickstar - another one where it looks really cute on the characters but i just dunno if it would fit me, also aside form the accessories it does seem a bit like just a regular dark colored suit...

ryuseitai - i've been a power rangers girl for years and this outfit looks so cool, like even if you take away how much symbolism it has for ryuseitai i would still want to wear it

alkaloid - the outfit is just so cool. like look at it i wanna wear that shit so bad, one qualm is that it does look a bit heavy/hot but its a worthy sacrifice tbh

eden - its the green. if it were literally any other color scheme it would be in "eh" but that shade of green would not work w me

valkyrie - its not as elaborate as some of the other outfits so thats why it isnt as high but i would still absolutely take it if it was given to me......corset.....

2wink: its fun!!! its so fun i love the flare-out shorts and their high laceup boots and their little hats with their colors<33 if i were to be specific i would probably pick hinatas bc i think purple/pink looks better on me

crazy b - another fun looking one! while in practice i dont know how much i would like it in theory i adore the jeanjacket/jacket over hoodie combo, the sneakers and jeans just pull the whole outfit together and it does feel like something i could wear weekly!

undead - i moved this one up while making the post bc i took a proper look at it and yea. i would definitely want to wear this one. blue's my favorite color so the general dark blue+ color palette along with the flowy material at the wrists and waist make it look soooo fun

ra*bits - i would commit crimes to wear this outfit. im being so serious ra*bits wins best trip album outfit award

akatsuki - in general the traditional japanese style outfits akatsuki wears seem like they would be fun to wear, they also however look. very heavy. i do really like the patterns and flow of the clothing tho so i would def wear it to try if i could!

knights - it looks cute but it genuinely just doesnt stick out as something i want to wear all that much

switch - pink crop top👍🏾

double face - tbh the only thing keeping it from the "eh" cateogory is the pattern on the outfit, the space/nebula print is sooo pretty<33

i wanted to ask where did you buy your ra*bits trip album?? i wanna get the knights one but idk which is the best site to use,,

i bought it from animate.shop! they do international shipping and it comes with an a3 clear poster (as in, it's made of thin plastic with small transparent windows so you can see through in the light, it's really cool!). they also have (available internationally, i believe) an option to pay a bit more and get magnets of each member. cdjapan also has international shipping, but doesn't come with any preorder bonuses. amazon jp has shipping too i think

you can also look through all the bonuses and if you really like any that don't have international shipping, you could order it through a proxy service, who will ship it to you but explaining that could be a whole another post hskfjsls

Top Songs from Ensemble Stars 2024 Number 4- "KEEP OUT"

This Tweet from a few months ago, in reaction to Sabrina Carpenter pantomiming sexual acts as part of her concert, has stuck with me this year. It's incredibly out there as far as terminally online takes go, but also illustrates something i've been worrying about as we are now coming up on 5 years from COVID school shutdowns and the effects it had on people who were 8-13 at the time, and their loss of development socially.

But then, you fire up your favorite anime boy game, Ensemble Stars, and you are confronted with THIS, and you begin to wonder if she is right...

Before speaking directly about Keep Out, I want to talk about the Trip Album singles on the whole, as over the last year or so, they have been my absolute highlight of Enstars. Last year, I named Black Out See Saw as the best song of 2023, with it being the climax Alkaloid deserved. Granted, this year we got the real finale to the Alkaloid/Crazy-B era of Enstars, but basically every Trip Album single delivered. "Seven Days Prismagic" by Switch and "Shiawase no Uta" by Trickstar were refined throwbacks to the pre 2020s era of Enstars music, sounding both familiar to the early catalog but with all the refinements to song design that have happened over the years, with them all sounding more modern. "Wonderful Happines" by Knights and "Black Out See Saw" by Alkaloid were wildly different from their previous output, showing evolution of music design, similar to how real music groups will change their sound from album to album.

And then....we have Keep Out, which somehow manages to be both a throwback AND new evolution for Eden? Eden has always had a high energy club-like vibe to their music (where no one is willing to tell Ibara "no" when he says he wants to rap), mixed with religious and sexual overtones . But Keep Out is a weirdly calm and hypersexual song. There is no subtlety with the lyrics, the delivery, the dancing- this is the type of song that belongs in the club where everyone is half naked and touching each other on the dance floor. The song starts with percussive elements, changes to synths midway through, before bringing back the rythmic drumming at the end when the song is climaxing. It's a complete package of something you can just vibe out to.

I only have 4 songs to write about this year- i made a longer list, but decided to stick only to the ones I had the strongest feelings about. So, I guess that means the following are all honorable mentions for this year, in release date order "Bokura no Stella" by Ryusetai "Ringing Evil Phone" by Evil Num+ "Sunnytrip Summer" by Alkaloid "Jumpin' Luck Beat" by Ra*bits and a special shout out to what the original Honorable Nominee was, the April Fools Day Otome song
