Let's go over some interesting details regarding the Enstars x Project Sekai collaboration event!
First of all, besides for April Fool's Day campaigns, very rarely does Enstars change their title screen background. Usually, it's just some CGs from their latest anniversary campaign (or, in 8th's case, whatever the most recent unit TRIP album is, but I sorta count those as anniversary cards too since they're limited and were in lieu of actual 8th anniversary cards). This collab, though, is one of the rare times it does change.
Another strange detail of this event is that it lasts longer than an event usually does. The login bonus has 9 daily rewards instead of the typical 8, most likely to account for the extra time new players coming from Project Sekai may need to join and get adjusted to the game.
For what is likely a similar reason, the tour portion of this event also requires far fewer stars to get to the milestone sets along the route than normal (25 and 65 stars respectively).
Another thing to note here is that there are only two available event cards as opposed to the usual four there are for tours (not counting the cards obtainable from the gacha).
Moving on briefly to Project Sekai, its portion of the serial code campaign requires players to attend a Connect Live (essentially a virtual concert), which requires a ticket purchased with currency that requires an in-app purchase to obtain. To my knowledge, this is the only campaign ever to require an in-app purchase to complete.

Project Sekai also opts to use Enstars' default 2* renders for its graphics involving the characters...

...as opposed to Enstars using the transparent renders from its own collab cards.
There's a lot more I could say, but I'll end it off with the event work. Namely, these notes:
This is one of the rare instances of any work having a special background, for a collab or not. This has been done before, notably with Café Cinnamon, but it is quite uncommon.
This is one of (if not the) only work instances I know of that uses unique rigged chibi models for any character that is not a regular idol or one of the generic fan models.
This work provides significantly more ribbons as reward for performing well, notably 10 for gold presents instead of the regular 5 (not shown here due to Tumblr's limit on how many images you can add to a post on mobile) and 5 for Great talks instead of the regular 2.
This work is one of the few instances that requires a special outfit to enter, and provides patterns for an outfit as a reward, but not patterns to that specific required outfit. (That is, the outfit you need to get in is NOT the same outfit you can get more of as a reward.)
Despite having four available idols to participate in this event work, there are only two available slots. This is likely for two reasons: there are only two event cards, and there are already four extra models in the work.
There are plenty of other things as well, many of which I've probably missed, but these are the big ones I noticed. I could have put these all in separate posts, but I figured it was better to make one big one instead of flooding people's dashboards.

I will not be covering anything from Project Sekai in depth, just so we're clear. I will be touching on it briefly, but to be honest, I do not want to deal with that game's shitty fucking performance. I do not want to deal with 5 crashes per minute in order to post here I'm so sorry pjsk fans
Big post on every oddity on this current event coming soon. It's been a crazy week, plus there's a lot to keep track of, and I want to make sure I have everything.

If you have a character as the primary person in your room that does not have a 3D model, when entering the MV outfit viewing room, the default selected character will be Eichi.

I know this is an enstars blog, but I wanted to share trivia from the sister game, engirls
The school uniforms for Kimisaki follow different rules from Yumenosaki. In Yumenosaki 1st years wear red ties, 2nd years wear blue ties, and 3rd years wear green ties.
However Kimisaki is different in that the top remains the same for whichever year you're in and cycles each following year as new students enter. To further clarify:
During Anzu's time at Kimisaki, her year wore the green tops, while the 2nd years wore red, and 3rd years wore blue. When she became a 2nd year, the colors were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. And finally, if she had remained at the school, the colors would have been 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
So the orders would be:
1st, 2nd, 3rd
1st, 2nd, 3rd
1st, 2nd, 3rd
Back to 1 and repeat
The reason probably being that it's easier to keep the same uniform (since the top is what shows the year you're in) than to change each year (Yumenosaki has it much easier since they just change ties)
This isn't @/anyone or anything, I just wanted to share to help clear up some confusion especially since engirls isn't as popular (💔) and a lot of people seem to think Kimisaki uniforms follow the same rules as Yumenosaki (a completely understandable mistake)
Sorry for the wordy ask and I hope this helps someone!
I think, seeing as Enstars is a spin-off of Engirls, this belongs here. Although I think a dedicated account to Engirls would be even better, I also think that having a dedicated account would cause it to be lost in the flood of Enstars accounts, which is very unfortunate. That being said, I am going to dedicate a new specific tag set to Engirls.
On the subject of this factoid, though, that's an interesting way to go about it. It makes more sense to just be able to quickly change ties rather than entire tops (as well as making character designs more consistent and not need to be radically changed between years), but still, it's odd to see such a decision be made. It's not too hard to follow, but I can imagine it would cause some confusion at first.
All Engirls/Kimisaki asks and suggestions are absolutely welcome! <3

Hello i'm the kuro/rinne ask!! i'm sorry for the confusion i meant their 3d models differences 😭 also i feel like im hallucinating cuz no matter how i see them rinne always seems a bit taller
...Nope! That was my confusion. I don't know why I read "fitting room" and centered my vision on "room". My bad!
Although, the stuff in my last post still applies to this I think. You're definitely right! Although, I think much of the perceived height from Rinne comes from his poses/posture and the length of his head/how full his hair is.

With PIKAPIKA being the first Nice Dream Unit to get an official music video (and acknowledgement within the games), this means MODE/D will likely be a record contender for longest time in between a unit being teased/announced and actually being present in the game, with their announcement video having been released on the 8th of November, 2024.

In almost every single outfit, the tie that secures Wataru's braid is red. However, a few outfits change this.

This includes his outfit for his Feature Scout 2, as well as his new PIKAPIKA unit outfit.

In his Live2D model, this red tie appears to be almost brown in colour, though. This makes colour changes like with his Feature Scout 1 outfit (and its SCR) more noticeable.

idk if u have made a post abt it yet or not but i have noticed on the 2d models that all the mouths' default smiles are about the same simple shape just different sizes EXCEPT niki who inexplicably has permanent slight 3 mouth. i also think mayoi's may be slightly different as well but its really hard to notice and i may just be losing my mind. thought it was an interesting choice for only niki to have permanent cat mouth on the 2d model though considering the amount of charas that 3 mouth regularly, including in their work chibis

You're right! I love Niki's mouth, it makes him look so silly.

As for Mayoi's mouth, I also think you're right. He has a very slight :> mouth, one that's significantly more obvious when he's smiling rather than frowning.

I love the fact that Rinne and Kuro despite being the same height have slightly different body and facial models in the fitting room :D
(I also used Rinne's practicing outfit to get his hair pulled up to better show the difference between the bridges of their noses.
Although stylistically very similar, I would say the differences between their faces are the most significant. Kuro's mouth is slightly smaller, Rinne's eye highlight is higher up, the bridge of Kuro's nose is more angular, and Rinne's eyebrows are longer just to name a few.
Between their bodies, I don't see much different besides their skin tones (partially because, to my knowledge, Rinne doesn't have any truly shirtless outfits).

Nice Arneb Thunder's Music/!! chibi model appears to have some white raster artifacts around his entire body, indicating an improperly exported (or imported) transparent image. His is the only chibi model that appears to have this issue.

Recently, I've become interested in Enstars's ears. More specifically, the simultaneous diversity and lack of diversity of them.
First of all, the Live2D models seem to have slightly different ears from one another-- either with different placements, different sizes, or even what appears to be slightly different shapes. It's hard to see on most characters, considering there aren't exactly very many bald outfits, but from what little I can see it's quite interesting.
Secondly, it appears as though Wataru's Live2D ears are actually larger than other characters' as shown above, as well as in this comparison to Hiiro's jaw and ears traced below.

Finally, it's interesting to note that in almost every card in which they're visible, every Enstars character has dangling earlobes.

Regardless of angle, this appears to be the case. You would be hard pressed to find anyone with attached earlobes.
(Also, apologies for the late post-- I got rate limited for spam reblogging the clip of Wataru Hibiki singing Valentine Eve's Nightmare on main. Oops!)

The oldest MV upload on the Enstars YouTube channel is a bit of a strange one-- a version of Majestic Magic that seems to have been a 6th anniversary pre-release version. After some precursory analysis, there appears to be barely any difference between the pre-release version, and the regular version uploaded 44 days later. The only ones I noticed were the outfits (opting for the 6th anniversary outfits rather than the Switch x Eden fusion outfits), and a short introductory clip at the beginning.

Somnolent Flower Shrouded in Secrecy - Fushimi Yuzuru and A Fleeting Moment Filled with Love - Hibiki Wataru have very similar poses, as one example of Enstars cards being quite similar to one another and stylistically consistent. Layering one over the other with 50% opacity (and minimal image repositioning) reveals this effect to an even greater extent.
Although I'm not sure, I believe this and other coincidences happen to result from A) wanting to keep all cards in the same or similar style, and B) using similar references between cards (perhaps a special 3D model HappyEle only uses for illustration references?).
