New Soul by Yael Naim- this song gives me shrimp emotions that range from hope, to nostalgia, to sadness, to comfort, all of which associate itself with Luz in my head bc she too produces shrimp emotions in me. It's not necessarily a coming of age song but it FEELS like one, and that's enough for me

if you tried to be optimistic, hell wasn’t so bad. you never had to worry much for the exterminations. nor, did you have to worry about being harassed on the streets of hell by various sinners. after all, alastor was there to protect you.

but despite that, it didn’t mean he wouldn’t tear you down to make you compliant.

you sat in a corner of alastor’s broadcast tower as he brutally tore apart another overlord. and as he went off the air, he turned to you. “are you enjoying yourself, my doe?” he asked. “i don’t understand why i have to be here…” you said, mentally hurling from his new pet name. “you’re so delicate, my love. one trip and you could break! i have to be there to make sure you’re well at all times.” he cooed to you. “stop patronizing me, alastor. i won’t let you take away my dignity.” you glared at him. “darling, i may not own your soul. but, you are still my wife. you are mine, understand?” he explained, walking to you.

you didn’t respond to him, refusing to let him degrade your self worth. to this, he grew angry— grabbing you by your jaw and scalp, his claws scratching against your porcelain skin, lovingly yet still rough, as if he thought it was for your own good. “i said, do you understand?”

his face came close to your’s as he kept a tight grip on your hair, waiting for your answer. your fight or flight response was sending signals and going haywire as you tried to pull away from his touch. “yes— gh, let go of me, alastor. please…” you begged as he finally let go. “good girl.”

and just then, an awfully convenient knock came from the door. a man with lamb-like features peered through the door. “and, who might you be?” alastor raised an eyebrow to the man. “so it’s true… d-dad..! it’s me!” the familiar voice said. could it be?

“noah— is that you..?” you asked. you hoped it wasn’t him, that he didn’t end up in hell. but at the same time, you wished to see your son one more time so badly. “momma, it’s me!” he smiled, hugging you and alastor tightly. “ah, my boy…” alastor sighed. “you’re so much older than your old man now, huh?” he remarked. but then, it hit you, he was dead.

“wh— dear, what happened, how did you die?” you asked. “killed in action, ma. guess i should’ve just retired already…” he joked. “oh, my son…” alastor grinned.

and things were normal— at least, as normal as they could be with your deranged husband. things stayed as they were for 13 years.

when rumor spread of a mysterious man-eating sinner— she uses them to build her power, and then she drops them like dirt trash. she’s amassed so much power, she’s certainly a threat to alastor’s power. if he couldn’t get rid of her, perhaps he could keep her under his thumb.

“well, how do you do, sweetheart? alastor, pleasure to meet you, quite the pleasure! this over here is my darling wife!” alastor introduced both him and yourself to the older woman with features that resembled a coyote. “alastor..? is that you, dad?” the honey-like voice asked.

alastor’s eyes had widened as he realized the woman in front of him. “little emi, is that you?” emilia reached out to hug the both of you. she aged beautifully, still as charming as she was the day you died.

“oh, my pretty girl, you’ve made quite the name for yourself down here in hell, hm?” alastor grinned at his daughter. “i learned from the best!” she laughed back.

and as they conversed, you felt like an odd man out. as if alastor was talking to his own clone. given, she is her father’s daughter after all.

“darling! our little emi is here, our little family is reunited at last.” alastor grinned to you. “this calls for a celebration, don’t you think? why don’t we have a special dinner tonight?” he suggested. by his tone, the only thing you could think of would be that he wants to have another sinner served on the dinner table. “i-i don’t know…” you shook your head in disagreement. “now don’t be such a negative nancy!” he laughed. “i’ll cook a feast tonight!” he declared, taking emilia to your home in hell.

and, just as you suspected, he served the flesh of a fellow overlord, fillet mignon style. “come now, dear, eat!” alastor said, encouraging you to take a bite. “no thank you… i’m not hungry.” you frowned, shaking your head. alastor looked frustrated as you denied him. “eat.” he said, shoving the meat into your mouth.

you felt sick. but, as he shoved it down your throat, you had no choice but to swallow. “delicious, isn’t it?” he asked. your stomach churned, the guilt settling in your gut. it tasted disgusting. but, as much as you wanted to protest, you were scared of what he’d do if you disagreed. “yes… it is— delicious.” he grinned. “lovely.”

and so, your family dynamic had returned to as it had 47 years ago. back to normal… that is, until that odd day.

you woke up in your bed, as per usual. and, there was a note where alastor should be. not that you weren’t grateful he wasn’t there though.

‘leaving for a sabbatical, you know overlord work! i’ll be home very soon, my doe. kisses and love.

sabbatical, huh? he’ll be gone for quite a while, a year at most? and, without alastor, you’re free. it felt as if breathing fresh air for the first time. even if just for a year or so, you won’t have to be on his leash anymore. all would be well now, right?

but with your freedom, alastor’s protection was gone. sinners started to harass you. and without the company of emilia, you could do nothing but withstand it.

Scott and Melissa moved there after losing the house during the divorce and she's working at the rural clinic while he's working under Dr. Deaton.

Stiles is still the kid of a sheriff and the sheriff's department takes care of beacon hills as well as the surrounding other small towns in the county :)

Derek Hale is a city kid turned farmhand on an old man's farm (the old man in question is Elias, Stiles' grandfather)(and to the question why is Stiles or his father working at the farm is because 1. Elias lets his son work as a sheriff because whatever and 2. Stiles is a walking disaster no way is he letting that boy in charge of farm chores nuh uh not even on a lazy almost fall summer day where there's not much than the usual morning feeding also 3. Derek was only hired after Elias accepted that he was not as young and capable as he used to be and Noah and Stiles put themselves in charge of finding a farmhand)(Derek was the only one to send in a reply to their job ad) and the farm primarily raises sheep for meat and wool but I'd like to think that after Derek started working there a few years back he'd regularly add in new animals every summer or so. Sometimes he'd raise poultry, sometimes it's a small drove of pigs, sometimes it's not even animals but just a crop of pumpkins and squash and tomatoes and cucumbers!!

Derek loves the sheep. He's a shepherd through and through.

Jackson is not a whittemore but a miller, except his parents just died a bit later into his life and he lives with the whittemores on their large scale hay farm where there's an added bonus (to me)! h o r s e s !!!!

(all of this is just a way for me to write my fav characters interacting with my longest running obsession of all time, horses)

Lydia's mother owns the town's bistro/bar, her father owns the lodge built next to it. It used to be a whole business but it split with the divorce but there's still the whole B&B package deal to this day as it's wayyyyy too popular to risk losing business by stopping it.

Allison moved there pretty recently and the guns business her family owns fits in pretty well with the need for safety of the farmer and their livestock from predators and also for the wild game hunters in the late summer through fall hunting season.

Scott and Lydia bonding over being two kids from a divorced family. Scott and Lydia bonding over having pet dogs (Roxy is alive and Prada and her are absolute besties). Scott and Lydia being partners in science projects. Scott and Lydia spending wayy too long staring into each others eyes than how much friends would. Scott and Lydia realizing they want to be more than friends.

Stiles spouting off cool animal facts that Scott 100% already knew but acts like he didn't because both of them are stupidly in love with each other.

Scott meeting Derek when on the job. He can't help but crush over Derek and his enthusiasm over regenerative agricultural practices.

Jackson trying to impress Scott and Stiles by trotting up and down the main street on his horse. (I live laugh love by my Scott/Stiles/Jackson agenda) He also gets his dad to bring his horse over to school so he can just ride on it back home, in hopes of impressing Scott and Stiles but Scott is too invested in Stiles animal facts that they only way Jackson really has a chance was when Scott came over with Deaton for an emergency check up on a rogue cow on their property that was limping bad. Jackson straight up embarasses himself because he's a loser :P but Scott finds the attempt endearing and asks if he'd want to hang out with him and Stiles. It's the beginning of a slippery slope of 'Oh. Oh.' realizations for the three of them.

Scott and Allison meeting each other at the bistro and it starts a blossoming relationship that tugs at the heartstrings. It's cute little notes during class and hanging out at the bistro over hot chocolate even on hot days and going over to each others house to watch TV to cuddle under the same blanket and quick glances at each other and it's so goshdarn cute.

So, this is my new obsession/passion project. I love my neighbourhood and these sims so much, and I've been having the best time playing them, so I thought I'd share some family pics.

I started with 6 founders (one sim for each aspiration) and the town has grown to include all of these sims here!

john- john is dave’s husband and raising a son with him, his job is as a kindergarten teacher. but then he finds out his husband has been cheating on him, drinking weed and smoking beer, doing other drugs, ect. and stabs/slashes him multiple times in the top surgery scars and other places; never killing him

noah- noah is john and dave’s love child i made up. he’s about seven and currently living with terezi and nepeta.

terezi & nepeta- currently taking care of noah as john and dave handle their… unfortunate circumstances. noah was originally given to them cuz john and dave are lazy and can’t take care of a child

jade/rose/dirk/roxy/vriska/jane- these are all just kinda reoccurring characters who come in and out for filler. it’s implied that rose and kanaya are in a relationship as well as roxy and dirk. (yeah i’m a dirkroxy shipper what R u going 2 do about it??)

jake- new dave from high school— one of the boys dave cheated on john with. genuinely thinks him and dave are in a serious relationship. also genuinely loves dave.

gamzee- hooks up with dave from time to time; dave’s dealer. later gets in a serious relationship with karkalicious and explains to dave what he’s doing is fucked (they still bicker like an old married couple don’t worry)

karkat- starts dating gamzee and john kisses him at some point.

tv show idea: a sitcom with all the homestuck characters and dave is the main protagonist and he doesn’t know what’s happening so he’s just freaking the fuck out

The island was still mostly shrouded in darkness, that time of morning when only the birds were awake. The sun crept slowly over the horizon throwing pale shades of purple and blue across the sea. Jacob made his way up to Noah’s villa to see if he wanted to drink tea (or coffee) before they got to work again on The Blue Moon’s deck. As he got to the porch, he noticed Noah’s phone was sitting face down on the rail. Jacob looked around for any sight of his son and, upon not hearing the tell tale pitter patter of busy feet going in eighty directions at once, had to conclude that the phone was left there.

“Goddammit.” Jacob picked up the phone and immediately put it in his pocket, and when he was about to push open the front door, he felt a buzz in his pocket. His phone, not Noah’s. And it wasn’t Noah who was calling. In fact, the ring tone was In the Hall of the Mountain King which meant only one person could be calling.

Jacob took three quick strides away from the villa and turned his back to it. He answered. “Hello, Tara.”

Here is part 2 of Second thoughts because I felt like I left y'all on a cliffhanger lolz. I forgot to mention that around season 15-17 Olivia is in her late 40s and the reader is in their early 30s and Noah is still an infant(ish).

You smiled at Olivia and she smiled back. The nurse knocked on the door and you opened it being next to it.

"Hello. Because your injury is minor, we are going to let you go back home and send some pain medication with you. Don't lift anything heavy and get some rest. Your doctor should be here in a couple of minutes to give you your release papers." The nurse announced.

"Okay, thank you." Your mother replied on behalf of your grandmother. "I guess it's time for us to go home." You said while letting out a yawn. "Well you already know where I live and I turned your bedroom into a guest bedroom. Here is a spare key to the house so that you can take the baby to bed."

"Hey R/n, do you want me to take Noah? I'm sure you and Olivia are exhausted from waking up early and driving a long way here." Your sibling asked You look over to Olivia and she nodded in approval.

You handed Noah to Olivia and she softly placed him in his car seat. You collected the spare key from your Mother and muttered a thank you. You grabbed all of your stuff and headed out to your car so that you could go to your mother's house.

"Olivia, I'll drive." You muttered while putting the rest of the stuff in the trunk of your car. S/n was parked next to you and took Noah's bag and put it in their car. Olivia buckled Noah’s car seat in their car and closed the door and Olivia sat in the passenger side."When is the next time Noah eats?" S/n asked. "The next time he eats is at-" You paused to check the time.

"It's 9 am now so around 11-ish. If he starts to get fussy before his feeding time he has some soft teething puffs to snack on. His toys are in there and he has extra clothes and diapers just in case if he has an accident or anything. Other than that he's good, Call us if you have any questions."

You opened Noah's door and kissed him. "All right Noah, you're going with S/n now. Be a good boy for Mommy and Mama okay? I love you so much, my little angel." Noah smiled as you gave him one last kiss. "Mama loves you." You waved goodbye and closed the door.

"We're probably going to go to the park by the house then go shopping for the little one" S/n said through their car window. "Okay, that's fine with me. Call me if you need anything." You waved with a smile at S/n and watched them drive off. You hopped in the front seat of your car and started to drive off.

The ride was silent until you broke it with a question. “So, what did my mother talk to you about? I hope it wasn’t something too crazy because my whole family is crazy.” Olivia chuckled.

“She just asked how we met and that’s it. I’m a detective so I can sense when someone is trying to read me or intimidate me. Surprisingly, she didn’t ask much but I told her that she should be happy for you and that your sexuality was none of her concern."

"I guess that makes sense," you hummed out your response. "I'm sorry in advanced if she says anything offensive because they are very conservative and homophobic." you said quietly.

Olivia sighed, "It's fine my love. You don't have to worry about anyone hurting my feelings because I have tough skin. Homophobic words won't hurt me. I've been called much worst and I've dealt with the homophobic parents when their gay son or daughter came out to them. No words will change the way that I feel about you, my love. I will always love you no matter what."

Your eyes swelled with tears. She was always so good to you and it was slightly overwhelming because you had your fair share of failed relationships. Some that you just knew wouldn't last forever, but this one would.

In all your other relationships you didn’t even think you could get married. Olivia was so enticing and it made you think that maybe she was the one. She was the one who asked you out first and it had been a while since you’ve been in a relationship.

-*flashback*-

You were working at your job at a library, stacking books on shelves on a ladder because the library had the nerve to have the bookshelves extremely high due to the high rise ceiling.

“Excuse me” you heard a soft voice calling to your attention. You looked down to see an older woman with a police badge. “One second.” You said while placing the rest of the book back on the chart.

You climbed down the ladder. The older woman hovered her hands over your waist, not wanting you to fall. You so happened to wear a comfortable low flow dress that was somewhat long and it would be embarrassing if you tripped.

“Thank you.” You said while straightening your skirt. You then had your undivided attention on the older woman. "How can I help you..." "Sergeant, Sergeant Benson, I working the sex crimes unit." The older woman stated. "How can I help you, Sergeant Benson?" You questioned.

"Hi, we are looking for this person during our investigation. We were wondering if you've seen them." Sergeant Denson said while showing an investigation photo of a young adult.

"Yeah, I've seen them once or twice in here. I remember them specifically because I checked out a book for them and it was some sort of Biology book. I could check the sign-in sheet if you like." You requested.

"Yes, that would be great. Thanks." Sergeant Benson replied with a soft smile. You smiled back then went to search for the sign-in sheet. "Here it is. Would you like for me to copy this for you?" You questioned. "Yes, that would be great." Sergeant Benson grinned. You nodded and copied the sheet of paper.

It was quiet around you except for the copy machine. "I'm not sure if this is professional or not but I think you look beautiful in that dress." Sergeant Benson whispered. "T-Thank you." you slightly stuttered. That completely caught you off guard.

You haven't got complimented in a while so this one caught you off guard since it was out of the blue. The copy machine finished and you handed the paper to Sergeant Benson. "Thank you." She said and smiled at you.

"Here's my card just in case the person shows up again or if you have any questions." Sergeant handed you her business card and walked out of the building. "Who was that?" Your friend that works with you asked.

"No one." You said with a smile on your face. "That wasn't no one by the way you're smiling. I saw them flirting with you." Your friend smirked while nudging your arm.

"Okay fine. It was the Sergeant from the 16th precinct and they were asking questions for investigation purposes." You stated while putting the business card in your pocket. Two weeks later Sergeant Benson asked you out and the rest is history.

-*end of flashback*-

"Why are you crying, my love?" Olivia chuckled while wiping her tears. "God you're so good to me and I'm so glad that we met because I have no idea where I would be without you. I hate crying but everything about you makes me so happy to be in your presence. It just so happened that we met at the right time and I needed that because I haven't felt the same love you give me in a long time and now I'm rambling-" Your voice came out with a shaky tone while you desperately tried to wipe the tears from your eyes.

Olvia let out a soft laugh. "You're cute when you ramble." "I'm sorry. It's just a bit overwhelming at the moment and a lot to worry about." You apologized. "No no. It's fine. You don't have to apologize to me I completely understand." Olivia responded while softly stroking your thigh.

"When we get to your mother's house we can lay down and just relax. We do have the house to ourselves so..." Olivia smirked. "Olivia! We are not doing what you are thinking in my mother's house!" You said shocked. "I wasn't implying anything~"

She said while still stroking your leg. "I don't care. Keep those lewd thoughts to yourself." You said while swatting her hand away. Olivia just responded with a laugh.

You arrived at your mother's house exhausted. "Well, this is it." You said while looking at Olivia. "It's a beautiful house" You sighed "It may look beautiful but it was hell growing up here." You got out of the car and walked up to the front door to unlock it.

Once you stepped in you showed Olivia around the house. After that, you showed her your old bedroom which is now a guest bedroom. "Here is my old room." It was a somewhat spacious room for one person. You threw your bag on the floor, took off your shoes and laid down on the bed.

You huffed and closed your eyes. So much has happened within a couple of hours and your body could not handle this much work. You cracked your eyes open as you felt a dip in the bed from Olivia setting down next to you.

"How do you feel?" She asked while holding your hand. You left out another huff. "Overwhelmed. I need a hot shower and a long nap." Olivia laughed at your comment. You suddenly got up and kissed Olivia.

Olivia was taken back but she complied and kissed you back, pulled you closer towards her body. Olivia grabbed your legs and placed your body up to straddle her waist. You wrapped your arms around her neck, melting into her.

Olivia let out a groan as she gripped your waist closer towards hers, wanting to feel your touch. Olivia pulled away, letting out a huff, “Can your shower wait?” She asked slightly aroused.

“I have to get naked anyways. I don’t see why not.” You smirked at the reaction on her face. Her eyes widened at your sudden behavior. “What happened to me keeping my lewd thoughts to myself?” She snickered as she could tell that you were aroused as well.

“Well, maybe I changed my mind.” You gave her a peck on the lips with a smile. “Is that a yes?” Olivia asked politely. “Absolutely.” You responded with a grin. Olivia bit down on her lip, feeling the excitement heightened.

You stripped off your bottoms and so did she. “We have to be quick, I don't know how long we'll have the house to ourselves so you can't be too loud.” You told Olivia quietly as you laid down on the bed.

Olivia laughed "Are you sure you should be the one to tell me to be quiet when in reality, it's you who screams my name?" Olivia inched forward towards your hooded area, her face nearly centimeters away from devouring you.

Her face plunged into your heat, swallowing greedily as satisfaction flooded upon your body. Her mouth was something you treasured during her intimate moment with you. Your physique was something she adored and your sounds were something like no other.

No one else could easily fulfill the passion that her body went through as she was with you. Your body would always be satisfied with her. Her body would always be satisfied with you. Your body always grew hot from her touch, pushing the passion of lust farther to its limit.

Unchangeable Chapter 32

Even as he drives out there, he is navigating in his head how to approach the situation. He couldn’t really tell them that their adoptive son’s birth mother’s boss had a psychic visit from their son. But, the thing is that Saul has seen him in trouble so the situation must be investigated.

He pulls up in front of the White’s huge house. With a exhalation, he exits his car and approaches. He rings the bell. George White himself answers.

“Hello, may I help you?”

“Hello, I am Sergeant Mike Franklin, from the police. We received a report that your son, Noah might need assistance.”

He frowns. “Please come in Sergeant Franklin. Noah is in the breakfast room with my wife, Serena. He is fine . Come and see for yourself.”

He follows him through the huge house, the entrance is as big as his own living room, through a door that leads to a room dedicated to breakfast. The room is bright and cheery, with windows that look out onto a flower garden. At the table sits Serena White and Noah. They both look up at their entrance.

“Serena, Noah, this is Sergeant Franklin. He visits to check on Noah.”

“Me? Why is he here for me?” The child looks to his dad in concern. Serena frowns at the stranger and then looks over at her husband.

“George, what is this about?”

“I an sorry to disturb your breakfast, ma’am. We received a report that made my visit necessary.”

“What in the world?”

“If I could just speak to Noah a moment, we can clear this up?”

“Come Serena. Let’s give them a moment.”

“But George, I don’t..”

“Come.” He takes her hand. When she is standing by his side, he turns to his son, “Noah, be polite. Recall who you are.” This last directive gets Mike’s attention. It could be an innocent reminder or a warning. Let’s see. He takes a seat beside the child after his parents leave.

“Hello Noah.”

“Hi.”

“My job is to keep people safe from bad people and to get the ad people when they do bad things.”

“I ain’t, haven’t done anything wrong.”

Mike smiles at him. “I am sure that is true. I am here to make sure no one is harming you.”

The little boy frowns. “Who would be hurting me?”

“Well, sometimes the kids at school can be mean.”

“No, I have school at home. Mom and dad want me to get properly educated.”

“I see, well sometimes it is coaches being a bit to rough.”

Again the little boy shakes his head. “I only play soccer and my dad is my coach.”

“Do you like soccer?”

He makes a face before it quickly sooths into a look of neutrality. Mike notes this. “It is a gentleman’s sport. Dad and mom are raising a gentleman.”

“You do have gentle manners.” He smiles, a real one the crinkles his eyes.

“Thank you sir.”

“I need to ask you is anyone, “ he carefully watches him, “anyone at all, hurting you, making you feel uncomfortable, causing a bad feeling in your tummy? A maid, gardener, nanny, mom or dad?”

He keep his calm expression until Mike got to his parents. The flash is fast, a frown, the quick dropping of his eyes, a flush over his tan skin. Ah. He answers as expected. “No, my parents and everyone are nice to me, good to me.”

“Noah, I am going to let you get back to breakfast. Here is my card. It has my numbers on it. If anyone starts to be a bother to you, you can call me and I will come. Okay?” He takes the card and looks at it before slipping it into his pocket.

“Thank you. Would you like breakfast?”

“No but thank you for your kind offer.” He stands and ruffles his soft curls. “Truly Noah, any time.” Noah nods understanding.

He walks towards the direction his parents went and finds them in a small, relatively, room, a study. “May I rejoin my son, Sergeant?”

“Yes ma’am.” She hurries that direction.

“I hope you are satisfied that he is alright.” He looks to George thinking, what are you and your wife doing to that sweet boy. He makes a decision.

“For now. Child Protection may follow up.”

“For what reason? Noah is very well seen to.” The man’s dark face flushes red.

“He doesn’t like soccer. I will see myself out.”

When he gets to his car, he lets out a breath. Something was rotten in the picture perfect house. He will find out what it is. This he vows.
