about red-and-raven

hello hello!

my name is row, any pronouns, and i run this blog. this post is where you can find information about this particular clan of cats, as well as general information (like who made the dividers i used!)

blog basics

this blog was created to house the series of fics (or one long fic? i haven't decided) related to the lore of hollyclan, more specifically ravenfleck, row's current lifegen save

fics and lore will mostly follow the events of the save, however, row is already cooking up some personal thoughts and storylines, so who knows how long that'll last

tags will be added onto this post in order to help people sort through the mess of posts (i know that tumblr's search function is awful)

asks will be answered ooc, unless they're directed to a specific character

please use standard internet etiquette when sending asks/messages/reblogs/etc. row is a university student doing this for fun in their free time, not for any money or to publish.

I mean I get that’s it’s not the only contributing factor, but I’m curious exactly how much of the shelter dog over-population problem is actually due to poor dog ownership/management vs the housing crisis and economical stress. I’d be willing to bet by investing in social programs that give people the resources they need to care for their pets (cough cough affordable and free housing cough cough) that the amount of pets in shelters would dramatically drop. We can all sit here pointing fingers and screaming at each other until we are blue in the face, but if the owners basic needs are not being met, how can we hold them to a basic standard for their pets?

#I know I’m probably preaching to the choir #but truly it feels like we got one group of ppl being like #adopt don’t shop! people breeding animals are evil!#and the other side being like #alll shelter dogs are inherently genetic disasters that will always have behavior issues responsible breeding is the answer #or the problem is uneducated owners #idk guys we r all ripping ourselves apart when the real enemy #*turn and looks directly into the camera*#is our government #USA centric post

#there is twitter discourse happening.#poll #to be fair the discourse in part appears to be a misunderstanding #of the correlation between how often u wash linens/clothes and how often u change them #because. apparently to some people having more than one set of sheets is unimaginable?????#thats not the question here though #this may vary based on the season? or any other reason #i thought my answer was pretty reasonable but there are ppl on twitter that r like #if ur not doing it every week ur nasty. and genuinely.... u think im gonna go thru the effort #of changing it every fucking week.......#genuinely not here to judge i think theres a lot of factors into when u change sheets #but i refuse to believe people are Actually doing it every week. i want to know the circumstances #i guess if u r sweaty or the weather is really bad or ur fucking every night idk.

"Wyll is boring" he is the personification of daddy issues. he hides away at a beach TWICE and leaving the tav to go find him because he's not used to having people around who care abt him. he's been running around the sword coast for seven years just killing things and saving people because he got EXILED and chose to prove himself to his father and just help others. he spends his time training kids how to defend themselves. you find out his dad is the ARCHDUKE of Baldur's Gate. he almost drowned once trying to find mermaids. he has a literal devil haunting him that watches his every move. He managed to stop an entire cult of Tiamat AT AGE 17!!!!!!! he loves clowns.

Wyll isn't boring, ppl just haven't taken the time to explore his story and it SHOWS
