This, but i'm tagging shifting stuff i've seen from some of my DRs that are shifting-related from the DRs/IRs I've been to. Honestly had to translate some into a more English and adjust it to the context or language here, but it's relatively the same stuff. Also some realities even use completely different shifting terms and phrases even though it's technically the same language (daily english from this period of time in this context) and it's basically here in a different font MANDISWKD- I find it all of it very interesting and would love to see what people think of some of the tags too.

My Hero Academia Quirk ideas

Gravity Manipulation

This is pretty straightforward, with this quirk gravity can be manipulated to your will. Yours and others. You can easily make things weigh tons then they used to, or nothing. Some cool things that can be done with this is flying, make everything collapse under its own weight, and keep people from moving by making them weigh a ton or weigh nothing.

Strengths: Easily be able to manipulate a law of physics to your will. Gravity is capable of holding galaxies together so imagine all the things you can do. Changing the trajectory of asteroids in space and crashing them down on your opponents.

Weakness: Getting dizzy and sluggish. Feeling weightless or really heavy which makes moving difficult.

Quirk Cancellation:

Although it's not a flashy one it's insanely overpowered once you think of it. The ability to cancel any quirk that comes in contact with you. Imagine Shigaraki using his decay on you and it's just not working or Dabi using his flames on you and they just dissipated once they come in contact with you. Basically quirks don't work on you. All for one trying to steal it? Nope, doesn't work. Toga drinking your blood, Twice copying you or Overhaul doing his lil thing? CANCELED. It's like Dazai's ability from bsd, boring but insanely op.

Strength: Nothing works on you no matter how dangerous or powerful it's rendered useless in front of you making them have to rely on their physical bodies to beat you.

Weakness: To defeat an opponent you'd have to put your body on the life and turn it into a physical fight. The aftereffect of some quirks might be a bit troublesome for you. Only works on emitter and transformation type quirks and some mutant types. For example Shoji, you can't take away his already existing extra arms but stop him from making more.

Quirk Manipulation

Manipulating peoples quirks against them. This is inspired by water bending in ATLA where they use their opponents water against them. If someone uses their power on you, you can just use it back on them. Like Todoroki attacking you with his ice. You can just take that ice and swing it right back at him. Making their quirks fail on them. Sounds real fun. I just realized that it's kind of similar to Quirk Cancellation... Well you can just combine those two quirks ig... (also similar to Monoma's too...)

Strengths: Basically having every single quirk because you can manipulate others. Making their strong attacks reflect back on them or just go to waste. They'll overuse their quirk which can lead to tiring themselves out.

Weakness: Fighting against people who are more experienced with the quirk and know how to use it and have developed it. Even if you can just use their power against them they're more experienced with that power.

Backlash:

Physical Side Effects: Manifesting wings and other physical constructs of darkness can overtax the user's body, causing muscle pain, joint stiffness, or even injury if overused without proper rest.

Energy Consumption: Creating and manipulating weapons and structures from energy can consume a large amount of the user's own energy, leaving them exhausted or weakened if overused.

Lunar Dependence: Abilities linked to lunar energy may be weaker or unavailable during the day or when the moon is not visible. The user's overall power may fluctuate with the lunar phases, being strongest during a full moon and weakest during a new moon.

Increased Metabolism: Using the Quirk can significantly increase the user's metabolism, requiring them to consume more food and rest more frequently to maintain their strength and health.

It's infatuation, you keep telling yourself. Most anyone can take a look at Hawks, and even if he isn't their type? They can understand why he has appeal for others. His easy smile? The way he uses casual touch to help ground people in need? The charm he exudes? The sigh that escapes you has your shoulders sinking, has you slouching down. It has to be infatuation, right?

How else can you explain that struck match feeling everytime he stops by? Your entire being is lit up from within, ready to burn - until he leaves, which inevitably snuffs out the spark. Then the doubt comes in.

"Day that bad already?" Hawks asks, sprawling next to you on the bench. He grimaces, watching the passers-by with what you assume is the face you'd been making. When he catches you staring, he winks, lips quirking before he clears his throat. "Let’s change that, yeah? Come with me."

"W-where?" You stutter, fighting down the startled laughter building in your chest. Come with me, what is he even trying to-

"We'll start at this nice café, and afterwards, if you're not sick of me-"

You scoff. "How could I ever be sick of you?" And you mean it, you realize, but it's the look on his face now, eyes soft, a small smile on closed lips that make you think he might feel the same.

hallo!!!!! i'll answer the quirk question because hehehe someone else asked me about memories....

my quirk is called dark matter control! it's... guh.,, a lot.

" When the user activates his quirk, he accumulates a dark, tar-like substance that metaphorically fills up his whole body. He’s meant to use as much as he makes, but if he keeps his quirk activated or makes too much, his drawbacks will occur. Said drawbacks are uncontrollable tiredness, throwing up unused matter- which, he claims, tastes like unseasoned turkey-  and headaches. Now, due go the mix of his parents' quirks, there are occasional side effects that happen when the user’s quirk is in use. Side effects include the matter leaking from his eyes and nose, though it’s essentially just… crying the excess out and getting nosebleeds without the actual blood and tears. He’s also just pretty forgetful, though he likes to blame that on his dad! "

- I can create figures that I call mannequins to help me out. They do whatever they’re ordered to do, and that’s why I use Proxy as my Hero Name.

- I can also summon sentient figures of dark matter, ones that all have their own unique abilities and that are able to use my quirk as their own. The abilities are just skills, not quirks of their own. It’s very useful.

^ To conjure the sentient beings, I would need an actively bleeding wound. This power awakens in battle when I gain an injury and start bleeding out. I notice multiple dark figure made of my own quirk rummaging through the rubble to try and help me before passing out.

- With more training, I’m able to make my dark matter textured like different fabric.

- I’m able to “surf” on my quirk matter, in a way. By making platforms under my feet, I can skate around in the air or surf on it.

-> DRAWBACKS INCLUDE...

- The day after I use my quirk, I’m extremely likely to have headaches and heavy bags under my eyes.

^ Vommiting up dark matter (matter tastes like unseasoned turkey to me) is common due to over usage.

^ Eye-bags are basically because sometimes my quirk can cause restlessness, so it’s hard for me to sleep after using my quirk. It’s just because I can't exactly turn my quirk off unless Mr. Aizawa’s around to erase it.

^ Despite being restless, I will still feel heavy exhaustion and tiredness wash over me in waves. The first wave is heavy exhaustion, but it gets lighter and lighter the more I stay up without totally knocking out.

- The dark matter will come out of my matter-covered eye, nose, and mouth. If I don't control it well enough, it can lead to temporary partial blindness the day afterwards.

- I’m usually sensitive to light after using my quirk. My eyes aren’t bad, but they definitely aren’t the best, so I might struggle to see sometimes.

obvs very inspired by card captor sakura..

overall: im able to summon the spirits of deities using tarot cards! each card summons a different deity and they all aid me in different ways!

for ex: the sun summons Inti who is able to illuminate dark areas or temporarily blind opponents, the world summons Gaia who can use the environment around her to her advantage by creating barriers and whatnot

some drawbacks: i can see spirits ALL the time, they never go away. i also dont have complete control over the spirits unless i have a strong bond with them. the amount of time they're summoned for is also determined by my bond with them.

| meta-multiplier; allows the user to multiply other people's quirk genes into their own body, thus being able to manifest other people's quirks (yes like afo) the limit is related to the amount of previous users of OFA

I really love your worldbuilding in this newest chapter, how you've expanded on the foundation canon has established with regards to Eraserhead's place in heroics. I'm reminded specifically of that scene in season 6 where Endeavor compliments Aizawa's quirk. That scene felt super uncomfortable to me, the way he was reducing him down to his power, and you did an incredible job at only further digging into it.

It's an interesting topic to think about honestly, considering canon discusses how quirks were named as such to encourage the public to see these powers as just a part of who a person is rather than this scary thing that they had. A quirk of their character. And to see how that's evolved in modern hero society to the point where people can't separate themselves from their quirk, how it practically becomes the bulk of who they are as a person, it puts the way people equate Erasure and Eraserhead as being one in the same into perspective. Who is Aizawa Shouta without Erasure?

The complex relationship between a person and their power and how it impacts and even dictates their identity is one of my favourite aspects of BnHA and it's so exciting whenever I see it explored. Amazing chapter as always! You did an incredible making Hizashi's grief palpable, it was so raw and messy and overwhelming!

It’s a great topic but I especially love it in connection to Shouta. He’s kind of his own worst enemy when it comes to this subject as his rationality and avoidance of notoriety does its own damage to making sure no one knows enough to get to know the guy behind the goggles. He’s actually a dumbass because he struggled with his usefulness as a teenager and before he settled into his post-high school life, and put a lot of belief in the fact that no one was going to value him for anything but his Quirk, which even he admits is critical. He was right, but he sabotaged himself.

And to him it’s 100% a boon. He gets to stay unknown, keep his privacy, move relatively freely. He doesn’t have to worry about being too sharp or kind with his words, or how a social media post is going to destroy his image. He’s thought long and hard about this exact subject because he went through UA’s classes that talked about reputation, and after Oboro died he consciously settled into the idea that he was not important enough for anyone to worry over. Erasure YES. Aizawa NO. He decided it was not rational for people to worry over him because he was not important. Building his whole adult life off of that one notion. The best part of all of this was that when he died, or something worse happened to him, he wouldn’t be hurting anyone else with his death. Because nobody cares. That last bit is the most important to him.

Hizashi, Nemuri— they were accidents, he settled into this after he met them and it’s too late to shake them loose. So he had to come to terms with the fact that he would hurt exactly (2) people with his death. But that’s a pretty good low number.

Except he also didn’t account for the fact that people are more complex than he gives them credit for and despite his best efforts his students adore the ever-loving SHIT out of him

So when it comes down to the wire like we’re seeing in the fic, very few people care for the actual person beneath Erasure. His students yes, his spouse yes, his friends from HS yes, maybe one or two others.

THINGS IVE CHANGED PLOT WISE IN MY MHA / BNHA DR !

touya / dabi is a pro-hero that goes by the hero name phoenix. his quirk is not as self destructive. he also works in a hero agency with my older brother

the LOV kinda disappears after kamino, so the war is basically non-existent in my dr ( no because why are 16 year olds on the front lines hello??? what are we doing )

instead of shoto doing his internship with endeavor he does it with touya ( also where i do my first internship! )

natsuo, shōto, fuyumi, and tōya all get along well and over all they have a good and normal family dynamic

a u.s.a trip that some what replaces the war plot, still not sure what to script instead of it though! was thinking doing class civil warfare 🙏🏼

hawks’ work study also ends up participating in the shie hassaki arc ( i wanted to participate in it, and also wanted to to be apart of hawks work study w/tokoyami, so why not both 🤷‍♀️ )

if you read my intro post, you would know that i did script aizawa and present mic together. because i love them so...and also hitoshi shinsou started living with us at the start of middle school. he also took aizawa's last name ( like, hyphenated )

hitoshi also ends up joining class 1-A at the start of summer term. mineta ends up getting expelled at the beginning of the year ( i am NOT dealing with his ass ) and my best friend takes his place 🫶����.

there is a lot more found family aspects in class 1-a than there probably is in the anime, but i am apart of the bakusquad and it consits of bakugou, kiri, mina, denki, sero, and kyouka. shōto comes around and hangs out with us time to time cause of seroki being a thing ( i love them how could i not )

HI CHO!! GOD MY QUIRK IS GENUINELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS EVER AGHHHHH

I think my favorite thing about it is how much it can do! I also like how it plays into my physical appearance. Because my lightning is stored in my veins, that means the lightning scars that are burned engraved over my veins constantly have a faint glow to them!!! (Learned this through channeling) and because my scars are all over my body, in a way I have a sorta glowing aura lmao?

I think feeling wise, my quirk constantly makes me numb but also kinda like giddy? My quirk zaps off my body all the time without will because it’s in a constant state of needing to be released - especially when my heart rate is high. I LOVE being able to run faster than a human (Mach 7 to be exact) I love feeling the wind in my hair and against my skin, I love that everything around me slows down in my eyes because of how fast I’m going. I love being able to process information at inhuman speed, i love how fast I am in general
