It’s no secret that all the guys basically playfully challenge each other to be “the best uncle” and it’s really cute but also a losing battle because the kids highkey adore the hell out of Cody because he’s super fun and they just see him as being super cool; in later years this being because he’s told them all sorts of stories about his six months in prison.

Anyway, Quinn’s entire relationship with Cody as far as the kids are involved can be summarised in a sentence: “Don’t tell them that!”

Cody talks about his sentence all the time and about his criminal ( specifically hacking and him enjoying playing poker with demons and the like ) activities like one would talk about the weather ( him even mentioning Quinn’s not exactly legal history if he’s in a mood to create chaos ) and whenever he starts a storytime with the kids. Quinn’s more often than not in the background just facepalming and praying to the Mother to encourage him to not.
