Real talk for a minute because I fucking need this:
I’ve been a fandom nerd since age eight. Formalized when I first got online at age thirteen. My first real fandom was Harry Potter. It was my personality. It was everything. It introduced me to the fantasy genre, which I still haven’t really left. It made me want to be a writer. It made me realize there are stories inside of me that I want to share, that I hope touch someone else as deeply as Harry Potter touched me. Brain chemistry-altering type stuff. Loving Harry Potter is the only thing that extended family members who don’t really know me anymore remember about me. An ornament gifted years ago from an aunt who died suddenly. Thousands of words of writing. Hundreds of hours talking about it with friends and family. Toys, stickers, notebooks, clothes, gifts from others and some bought with money I shouldn’t have spent but did because it made me happy. Core childhood memories with people I don’t talk to anymore but remember so fondly.
It took a long time to be okay with tucking away my Harry Potter things. I disagreed with JKR’s political stances the second I heard them, but I held out hope for longer than I should have. I went through the very real shame and guilt and agony of something so foundational to my sense of self having to become a private, nostalgic sort of sad love instead of the loud, joyous proclamation it had been for years. It took a long time to be okay with losing the connection it brought with other strangers who also loved this story like I do and the giddiness of common ground and common excitement with other human beings. I’m still not okay with how something I still have so much love for is now an indicator of a person’s moral quality. I’m not okay with how my love makes me sad and uncomfortable instead of happy.
I’m a fandom nerd. It’s my biggest hobby and my biggest escape and coping mechanism. In May 2019, the thriving and small Dice Camera Action fandom exploded and then crumbled because of the show’s players’ interpersonal dramas, which in turn exploded and then crumbled me. Fully took out a pillar of my mental health. I learned a lot about parasocial relationships and my own relationship with them, about the dangers of them despite their very normal and common advent.
July 2019, I found Good Omens.
You can infer the pattern: brain chemistry-altering love, thousands of words of fanfic, more money than I had sometimes spent on stickers and plushes and shirts. Creating my very first cosplay, hours and hours talking about it with friends, some very fulfilling new creative relationships. A story that gave me hope, that felt True in the way that all great stories feel when they hit the right emotional chords. I’ve found new stories since then, but Good Omens remains an anchor that found me during a time I desperately needed it.
July 6, 2024.
Real people are more important than fandom. Obviously. I don’t think that’s ever truly in question.
But goddammit, fandom is people, too. Fandom is community. It’s the driving dopamine-sharing communal experience that has shaped my life for twenty years now. There is something in me that pushes back against the idea that the stories that have shaped and affected me so deeply must now be cast aside because their creators are unworthy, and at the same time, I have a hard time enjoying art knowing something on this magnitude taints it. It’s almost religious, in a way; avoid the appearance of evil, cast aside the unclean thing, repent for the sin of loving something made by a bad person.
Fuck you, my love doesn’t require repentance, art and artist can have some degree of separation and what I do and enjoy is nobody’s business.
Fuck you, how dare you give even verbal support to a monster by giving their work, and by extension them, the gift of your attention.
I don’t know how I’m going to handle this one yet, because the situation is more complex than JKR’s. There is still information coming out (more victims coming forward, I think more journalistic investigations under way), and Good Omens wasn’t just NG’s work, not the book and not the show. I’m in mourning. A little stuck and paralyzed. I’m not ready to put away and privatize another love that gave me such joy to be open and proud of. I resent the feeling that I need to or I will not be a Good Person.
In the meantime the bills need paid and my antidepressants need taken.
#quilly has issues#just verbalizing something I’ve been talking to my therapist about#bc boy howdy has the NG thing been tanking my already-low mental health#these woes are so small and selfish#but small and selfish things are sometimes easier to worry over than such huge widespread problems

“Give me sirens and a cyclops!”
Telemachus, the prince of Ithaca. Parents are Queen Penelope and King Odysseus. also a great-great-grandson of Hermes, and a grandson of a naiad.
No need to inform me of affairs, for I am well-versed in the matters at hand.
The goddess Athena is my benefactor. In days past, she took on the guise of Mentor and urged me to embark upon a voyage in search of my father. Though my quest bore no fruit, I believe we would have become steadfast companions.
(PFP BY sloanslone | banner by jarondont)
death count: 1
kill count: 109
I seek knowledge of my father Odysseus's fate. When I inquired of Menelaus, he recounted a vision revealed by the sea-god Proteus, declaring that my father is marooned and ensnared upon the island of Calypso.
My inclinations are yet unknown to me. (He’s bisexual.) I find joy in music, my lyre, and the companionship of my faithful dog Argos. However, I harbor great disdain for the suitors, for they seek to win the favor of my mother, which I find most vexing.
I yearn for the company of my kin, to partake in the simple joys of life as any mortal might. Yet, alas, I find it difficult to embrace normalcy, for I am bound by blood to a certain messenger god. His whims and tasks often draw me into the realm of the extraordinary, making it nigh impossible to dwell in the comforts of the ordinary.
hi, mod here.. WHAT THE FUCK IS HE SAYING??

HISUI TEAM - 百鬼夜行
... minus 95...
Despite only having 4 ghost types on this team, I really wanted to make a yokai-themed team. I'm actually going to write lore for these guys that I'm going to share publicly (*le gasp*). Info under the cut.
Hinoken - "Nurarihyon"
First of all, me thinking that Nurarihyon is sexy is all Nurarihyon no Mago's fault. Hinoken the Typhlosion is the leader of a group of "yokai" that are hiding from those who have arrived in Hisui from other places. He protects those he holds dear. Unfortunately, he also likes sleeping around and has commitment issues sometimes, so his ex wives and husbands all ended up leaving him. Despite how he seems, he values peace and wants lost souls to ascend with no regrets rather than staying on earth as he does. He haunts his descendants (Quilly, Blaze, Explo, and Solus) and is mildly disappointed in them.
Sachiko - "Zashiki Warashi"
Though not a ghost type, Sachiko the Pachirisu is a very lucky little zashiki warashi. Her presence keeps everyone safe while they're in hiding, even though she doesn't know that. Rikuu especially holds her dear to his heart and cares for her as if she were his daughter or younger sister. She's very sweet and likes to play small pranks on the others, who always forgive her. Her descendant (Graham) resembles her greatly, and she wishes he could hear her.
Tsurara - "Yuki Onna"
What could a Froslass be other than Yuki Onna? Tsurara the Froslass is potentially the most cruel of the group. She likes handsome men and may or may not have kidnapped Rikuu at one point (which is how he met everyone else). She tends to argue with Hinoken a lot (because they're ice and fire), but is generally tolerant of everyone else (or loving towards Sachiko, who she sees as a little sister). She is the one most likely to lash out at anyone who tries to come near those she loves. She is the only one still "alive" during the modern day, and is quite proud of her daughter Fubuki for finding such a handsome boyfriend.
Itoyo - "Tsukumogami" Armor
Itoyo the Basculegion was a normal man who inherited a cursed armor holding the souls of his ancestors. He acts as a defender for the hidden yokai village, and is seen as one of Hinoken's right hand men. He is constantly hearing the vengeful voices of the fallen, and is barely hanging on to his sanity by the time that Hinoken found him. He is one of the first to trust Rikuu when he first arrives at the village. He has no direct descendants.
Kiko - "Kejoro"
Kiko the Zoroark is a somewhat vengeful soul. She is a mother whose eldest child was killed, and she vows revenge. She was separated from her young son as well, and didn't find him again until he had settled in a faraway land. Kiko is one of Hinoken's ex wives, as well. Her first meeting with Rikuu was one of hostility as she believed that he was allied with those who killed her son. She is very happy that her descendant (Ienzo) is living a very happy and successful life, as that is all she ever wanted for her family.
Rikuu - Not a yokai lol
A traveler from Hoenn, Rikuu the Gallade came to the Hisui region after running away from an attempted assassination of his family. While he's wandering around Jubilife Village, he gets kidnapped by Tsurara and taken to the yokai village. He's completely confused and it takes Itoyo's intervention to keep him alive. He agrees to help keep the peace between the settlers and the yokai, and keeps the location of the village a secret. Sachiko thinks he's really cool, so she keeps following him around. Rikuu eventually moves back to the Hoenn region and re-starts his family. He thinks his descendants (Shimmer, Gleam, Twinkle, Sparkle, Glimmer, and Gladius) are dramatic.

i've come to make an announcement: shadow the hedgehog's completely alright, sure. he did piss on my fucking wife - that's right - but it's alright, it's ok. he took his hedgehog fucking quilly dick out and he pissed on my fucking wife, but it's fine, really. he said his dick was ' t h i s b i g ' and i said 'sure, tell me how big your dick is, that's fine, not like i'm insecure about my own', so i'm publicly documenting this on my twitter.com, you know, as i am a reporter and all: shadow the hedgehog, you've got a small dick, it's the size of this walnut except, way smaller. really, though, that's ok, it's not like you falsely worsened my insecurities. and guess what? here's what my dong looks like?
*muffled explosion (you know, because i wouldn't upset someone's sensory issues like that)*
sure. laugh at it. it's only got tall points, no quills, no pillows... it's not like it looks like 2 balls and a bong and gives me imposter syndrome. really, it's fine.
he fucked my wife, so guess what? i'm gonna spend more time with him. that's right, this is what you get, my SUPER SHAMEFUL LOVE!
except, i'm not gonna love you, i'm gonna go higher, i'm going to love your partner - you're fine with that, right? i mean, you did the same to my own. but sure, call me out for it, it's not like my own wife cheated on me with the entire sonic the hedgehog team and then divorced me.*
you have, oh, i don't know, 23 hours before my love reaches you - potentially even before your partner can divorce you, like i did - now, please, stay in my sight, sure, it's not like i'm gonna, oh, i don't know, break down due to hurtful memories? no, really, i'll be fine, i can't afford therapy anymore, so maybe i'll just end it all one day, but really, i'm fine.
*not to go on a tangent but gogoba divorce has to be really funny too
i want to know what gogoba online discourse is like
#They'd be passive aggressively whaling on eachother. can you imagine the kind of callout posts gogobas would make#<- prev tags#its been 4 days but i just read the words 'callout post' and so felt obliged to make this

Hey Ashoal, I'd say it's a small rumor I heard. Though small isn't the word for this anymore. Seems you have some quadrent issues upon you; that the general public dislikes. Hope nothing bad comes from that. Misunderstandings happen so easily. -🖋

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle – 04 – Do You Want to Build a Bathtub?
Despite being a hostage and captive, Princess Syalis is still entitled to the occasional bath, same as all the other inhabitants of the Demon Castle. However, the Red Siberian ordered far too small a tub based on inaccurate information about her size, so it isn’t long until her frustrated fists have pummeled the tiny tub into rubble.
So she sets off in search of water and materials for a new tub. She uses the communication piping to pipe hot water directly from the public demon baths into her cell, then happens upon Rocket Turtle, which features a fuse for a tail. Upon blowing the turtle up, its shell is left behind, making for the perfect basin in which to luxuriantly bathe and eventually sleep.
There are no consequences of Syalis setting off the largest explosion to date in the next segment, in which the Summer heat has afflicted everyone in the castle. Searching for releif, Syalis hears about the “cold area” of the castle, and “borrows” the outer body of the Tire Genie in order to brave the area without freezing.
The ice demon subjects of the area, who have long harbored resentment for the perceived better treatment of fire demons, mistake the princess for their leader, Ice Golem, and she uses that mistaken identity to issue them orders to equip her cell with an igloo, three seals, and some shaved ice, even claiming that Syalis will be the next Demon King!
With Syalis having acquired both leisurely sleep in a hot bath and a wonderfully cooling setup in the summer heat, the third segment offers something completely different: While on another excursion to steal supplies, she shakes an hourglass and ends up shrinking herself to half her normal, already-petite size.
Her clothes don’t shrink, so it’s hard to move, and she can neither lift her stolen goods nor climb out of her present location without help. When she uses the Procupine and Minotaur as a ladder, Quilly won’t let her go, as there is apparently something uniquely pleasant about holding a small human child—especially knowing what a menace she is when full-sized!
As a result, other demons flock to the suddenly-tiny princess, leading to the fiasco she had hoped to avoid (and her strategy of repelling the others by shooting Quilly’s quills only goes so far). But, to her surprise, she doesnt have to return to her cell to get a good night’s sleep; simply being in Quilly’s warm embrace eventually bestows upon her a child’s sleep that comes after a full day of play. All’s well that ends well!

Why it’s hard to take critic reviews seriously
Okay so with Yooka Laylee reviews have been kind of a mixed bag with people praising it while others pretty much shitting on it. Now of course detractors are using this to say “HA I told you so the game would suck!” But honestly why do we put so much stock in critic scores? Critics reviews are pretty much a matter of opinion that’s not to say there is no such thing as a poorly written review Take Postal 2 for example. That game is pretty much shit on by critics yet a lot of people still enjoy the game in spite of it’s faults and offensive content.
I never really understood the culture of “If it’s not a 10 or less than an 8 than it automatically sucks.” If you refuse to play a game simply cause it’s not a perfect 10 then I think you are just keeping yourself from finding out if you really enjoy the game or not.
Then there is the matter of Jim Sterling’s review. I am gonna be frank here I think his review was honestly quite terrible considering most other review outlets have touched upon similar issues and were still able to be much more positive. Not to mention Jim’s habit of being a total contrarian not to mention the fact he pretty much hates platformers. Here is a little excerpt taken from his review
"Also, Yooka himself sounds like a total ♥♥♥♥ing pervert every time he “speaks.” It’s actually quite distressing. The dialog as written is only slightly less painful with terrible jokes that undeservedly throw shade at other games and Laylee’s “witty” quips routinely insulting the looks of any creature that isn’t her, often using derogatory nicknames based on their appearance. She’ll toss out slurs against snakes, shopping carts, clouds, she doesn’t care. Laylee is a complete racist, and as facetious as I’m being here, she really does come off as a hateful, nasty, thoroughly unlikable little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Additionally, the game is drowning in Quillies, or Quills, or whatever. They’re more contrived bits of magical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t you pick up so you can buy new moves from Trowzer the snake (he’s named after a ♥♥♥♥♥)."
Not exactly what I would call professional.
When he gave it a 2/10 he was basically acting like it was another Mighty Number 9 but Yooka Laylee even with it’s problems had a lot more effort and polish put into it than MN9 ever did. I never really understood the Mighty Number 9 comparisons either considering Yooka Laylee was only delayed like once and it didn’t have the sort of development hell problems like Mighty Number 9 did. With Yooka Laylee, Playtonic’s intent was to create a 3D Platformer that captures the feel of the N64 area and for the most part they succeeded.
At the end of the day I am still gonna buy Yooka Laylee cause I wish to support Playtonic and I don’t want to see them go under too soon. Sadly I just know that day 1 the steam reviews are likely gonna be flooded with people giving thumbs down simply cause of no Jon Tron and other bullshit reasons.
If there is one silver lining though it’s that the jury is still out on the Switch version which is reportedly being developed in house by Playtonic with help from Nintendo unlike the PS4/Xbox One version which where outsourced to Team17

hey, i love your blog! so im getting an african pymgy hedgehog later on this year and have been doing my research and think i know all the basics, but to be safe i was wondering if you could just let me know all of the areas/ apsects of care i HAVE to look into jic i missed any? and also somethings that might just be extra help if not essential.. i have quite a few pets but ive never had a hedgie before and i dont know anyone who has! i want to make sure i get things right from the get go..
Hi! :) And thank you!!
Hmm. So general topics I can think of: personality/behavior, handling, grooming, quilling, diet & nutrition, cage set up & enrichment/accessories, cage safety, heating & lighting schedule, emergency health symptoms, common health issues, veterinary care… I’ll add more details under the cut, this might be a bit long!
Personality/behavior: Know what to expect out of a defensive prey animal, hedgehog will not hate you, they’ll just be afraid/defensive of you. Hissing, huffing, being a quilly ball, these are all normal things that seem to surprise a lot of new owners that just saw cute pictures on the internet. If you get a baby, quilling will make them even grumpier for a while too.
Handling: best time to handle, how to pick up, it’ll take some time to get used to pokey quills, etc.
Grooming: bathing information, ways to trim nails, foot baths, looking out for dry skin, ingrown quills are a thing sometimes
Diet/nutrition: know how to read food labels & pick out a high quality cat food, a mix of 2+ is better. know what treats are safe, be prepared to feed insects & try to get a variety to offer
cage set up/enrichment: cage should really be 8 square feet or bigger, though US minimum is smaller, it’s kinda too small. I have a post on enrichment ideas if you haven’t seen it yet, that might be useful. Safe wheel is a requirement, but other things should be offered too.
cage & accessory safety: prevention of climbing, lid to prevent escapes, proper ventilation, no high second levels with no walls to prevent falling, etc. Check into safe toys, things like cat balls with the open spaces are NOT safe. IMO water bottles are also unsafe enough to not bother with, water dishes are preferable. no fabric with frayed edges, thread & such easily wraps around hedgie legs. Make sure wheel is safe - no openings or cracks in surface, at least 10″ diameter. Safe store-bought wheels are Comfort wheel & Flying Saucer.
heating/lighting: 12-14 hours lighting schedule, not dependent on daylight, an additional heating system with thermostat to keep cage warm enough, no heating pads
emergency health symptoms: I know there’s a list on the hedgehogcentral forums if you haven’t found one now. it’s in the Health FAQ section. :)
common health issues: mites, skin infections, URIs, UTIs, eyes are prone to damage & coming out due to bugginess (not a super common issue, but it’s a possibility, basically), hairs wrapped around feet/legs if you have long hair, and cancer. Extremely prone to cancer of all types, though usually an issue later in life. Oral cancer in particularly is aggressive & nasty. Oh, and they should NOT go more than 24-48 hours without eating, so not a bad idea to have syringe-feeding supplies on hand for emergencies. They can go off food easily for a variety of reasons & syringe-feeding will likely be necessary at some point.
Veterinary care: An absolute must. general check ups at least once a year, twice is preferable, especially when older. Need to be able to get to vet quickly (within a couple days) with some health issues - URIs can quickly turn to pneumonia, which can easily kill a hedgehog. Have a vet fund of at least $500 available, and/or have other back up measures: a credit card for vet care, Care Credit (vet needs to accept, but it’s easily applied for & has some benefits over regular credit cards), and vet insurance is also worth looking into. Nationwide offers an exotic plan (only insurance to do so right now) & it’s only about $8/month for hedgehogs.
I was trying to keep things brief, but if I mentioned anything that you’re unfamiliar with, feel free to ask for more details! :) Really the biggest differences in hedgehogs are heating requirements, and just how very shy & defensive they tend to be. It catches a lot of people off guard. They’re not domesticated yet, and personality plays a huge part, though socializing can help a lot. Daily handling helps, and just lots and lots of patience. It can be discouraging to feel like your hedgehog “hates” you, but they’re just slow to trust sometimes. It’s totally natural for them to ball up & raise quills & be quick to hide. Out of my two girls, Bindi still ducks for cover if lights go on while she’s out & about. Pancake still quills up totally & sometimes balls up when I first pick her up from her cage. It only takes her 30-60 seconds to realize it’s me and chill back out, but it’s normal. :)
Kudos for doing your research!! I hope your new hedgie will be a sweetie and settle in easily with you!

You guys are amazing, I love watching your videos! So I need some advice. My parents are extremely religious and homophobic/transphobic; I identify as genderfluid/asexual. I was wondering if you guys have any tips. Sorry if this has been asked before
PLAJUS: first of all, here’s something i’ve answered before about my genderfluidity: http://plajus.tumblr.com/post/122681661995/hey-there-ive-been-a-little-confused-about-my
Second of all, my partner Quillis is a devoted Catholic, but also a strong feminist who’s gender neutral and dating me. There is still hope for those who seem -phobic. Even my mom had a lot of issues when I came out as a lesbian, but now we’re hella close and she’s proud of who I am. They still struggle with the idea of transgender people from time to time, but my parents ultimately agree that there’s no reason for them to be attacked or anything.
Asexual was something easier for me to come out as. It’s a different coming out than a lesbian coming out or a trans coming out. my asexuality isn’t outwardly labeled to the public all the time like the way I hold quillis’s hand. Sometimes asexuals do change their mind! sometimes that’s a way of relieving your parents. let them know you might change someday, but right now you’re perfectly happy as staying asexual. remind them that it makes you HAPPY. a child’s happiness is *usually* the most important thing to a parent (every one is different though).
genderfluid is different. sometimes uneducated adults will blurt “so your trans?” or they assume you’re *going* to be trans, or something like that. they come from a different time of education and it’s really hard for some adults to understand that the binary isn’t real. if you’re having issues with your gender, they’re going to probably assume you’re switching to the opposite gender (but again, all parents are different and i’m making assumptions).
genderfluid is very different to come out as. technically, i’ve never even come out as genderfluid. there was no big talk. my parents always use she pronouns with me, but they also completely understand that i change the way i dress and talk from time to time. when i talk about wearing my binder, my parents don’t mind. i’ve only come out to my close friends as genderfluid, and people at my university since it’s pretty progressive with its womens studies courses.
one part is just correcting your pronouns. remind them about your happiness and that you’re still you, but that you’re happier when your gender isn’t defined. remind them that being held down with the stereotypes is harmful for you and that by changing the way you look and present yourself gives you more freedom.
i know my genderfluid area isn’t very helpful. my parents aren’t extremely religious or anything. i’d try looking up “coming out” instructions and articles online, and i know that they’ll probably be for lesbians or for coming out as trans, but you can still use the advice in a similar way.
to end my long and my (maybe) helpful rant, just know that the entire plink crew is queer in some way and that we’re always here to support your actions and your identity!

Nexium Side Effects Caused Chronic Kidney Disease and Renal Failure, Lawsuit Alleges
AstraZeneca faces a new lawsuit brought on behalf of a 64 year-old woman, which indicates that side effects of Nexium caused her to suffer chronic kidney disease and develop renal failure, alleging that the drug maker withheld information about the health risks associated with the widely used medication.
The complaint (PDF) was filed by Quillie Allen in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on October 25, joining a growing number of cases filed by individuals nationwide who have experienced kidney damage following us of Nexium or other proton pump inhibitors (PPI).
Allen indicates that she was prescribed Nexium in March 2002, and continued to use the medication for more than 8 years.
Although Nexium was marketed as a safe and effective treatment, Allen indicates that she has been left with renal failure and chronic kidney disease (CKD) as a result of ingesting the drug. However, the complaint indicates that she did not know that Nexium could be the cause of her kidney problems until 2016, because AstraZeneca and manufacturers of similar drugs hid those risks from the public.
“Defendants under-reported, underestimated and downplayed the serious dangers of Nexium,” the lawsuit states. “Despite the fact that Defendants knew or should have known that Nexium caused unreasonably dangerous side effects, Defendants continued and continue to market, manufacture, distribute and/or sell Nexium to consumers, including the Plaintiff.”
Nexium (esomeprazole) is one of the most recognized brand-name medications on the market in the United States, prescribed to millions of Americans for treatment of heartburn and acid reflux. It is part of a larger class of medications, known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which also includes the blockbuster treatments Prilosec, Protonix, Prevacid, Dexilant and others.
Since AstraZeneca has promoted their medication as safe and effective, and it is widely assumed to carry few serious side effects, many individuals remain on Nexium long-term, using the drug for years without any attempt to reduce reliance on the medication. However, following the publication of several studies in recent years, serious concerns have emerged about risks that users may be more likely to experience severe and potentially life-threatening kidney problems.
In an independent study published by the medical journal CMAJ Open in April 2015, researchers found that users of PPI medications were 3 times more likely to suffer acute interstitial nephritis, which involves inflammation of the kidney. In addition, the study found that users were 2.5 times more likely to develop acute kidney injury, which involves an abrupt loss of kidney function.
This research was followed by a study published last year in the medical journal JAMA Internal Medicine, which also found an increased risk of chronic kidney disease with the heartburn medications, indicating that users of Nexium, Prilosec and other PPI may be 50% more likely when compared to non-users.
In April 2016, researchers with the Department of Veterans Affairs found that users of Nexium, Prilosec or other PPIs may be 96% more likely to develop renal failure and 28% more likely to develop chronic kidney disease after five years of use.
The case joins a growing number of other Nexium lawsuits, Prilosec lawsuits, Protonix lawsuits, Prevacid lawsuits and Dexilant lawsuits brought by individuals nationwide in recent months, each raising similar allegations that the drug makers withheld information about the risks associated with long-term use of the medications.
Given common questions of fact and law raised in the cases brought throughout the federal court system, the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) issued an order earlier this month, consolidating all heartburn kidney lawsuits before one judge in New Jersey federal court for pretrial proceedings.
As heartburn drug injury lawyers continue to review and file cases in the coming months and years, it is expected that hundreds, if not thousands, of similar acute interstitial nephritis lawsuits may be filed over the failure to warn about the side effects of Nexium, Prilosec and other PPI medications.

Quilly – 5-6 year old female Chihuahua cross Ibizan Hound (Podenco)
Quilly is a 5-6 year old female Chihuahua cross Ibizan Hound (Podenco), she is a small girl standing at just 40 cm to shoulder, body length 45cm and girth 50cm. She has short legs and a silky short tan coat and amazing ears. Quilly loves everyone and every dog in the refuge, she is very popular with staff and dogs alike and she walks very well on the lead. It’s been too long for her and now she getting older really needs the comfort of a home and security of a loving family.
She has so much love to give, she needs someone she can share it with. Quilly is such a really sweet, very funny and playful little girl.

Poor little Quilly has been in a Spanish shelter since 2014 – another long timer still looking for a home! Lets hope her dreams will come true in 2017 and she finds a family of her own.
She was found tied to the gate of the refuge, left as her owner obviously decided they no longer wanted her, but we guess this is better than leaving her in the streets at least they knew she would be found and she stood a chance of finding a home.
Current location is in Spain she can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, spayed, microchipped and has a Pet Passport. Any known health issues NONE.
Adoption fee is £ 215 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.

Once again preoccupied with the thought that while I’m not particularly pleased to have made a career at this point in childcare, so many other people are and do, and for all the time they spend watching other people’s children so those people can go have their own careers, those childcare workers are paid such a tiny fraction of what the parents make. And if they weren’t there, there goes that parent’s career.
These are generalizations, because IN GENERAL, yeah daycare workers will watch a very successful lawyer’s kids and get to hear all about the many European vacations these kids have already gone on in their short lives, meanwhile the daycare worker has daily visions of what they’d have to do to make ends meet if they were suddenly solely financially responsible for themselves. Not to project or anything. Sometimes parents choose daycare because it’s a necessary expense to make ends meet. Those childcare workers still deserve to be paid more.
#quilly has issues#being part of a bitterly underpaid overworked labor sector is that issue today#and I have it so easy gang#compared to some of my coworkers#both in class load and in how living with my parents eases the majority of my financial burden#I’m just. so. angry.#and I can’t even go do something else bc what I want to do doesn’t make any money either!!!#and is way more unstable bc the market is so heavily skewed to freelance work#plus I’ve been in childcare for almost a decade with no other work experience. nobody wants me y’all#sigh.

Probably a mistake, but let’s do this: That Homophobic Chicken Place is the one fast food restaurant I can eat at with celiac disease and IBS. The only one. The singularity. They have not only optimized their restaurant to the producing of safe grilled nuggets and fries that I can trust once I tell the staff to flag it for a gluten allergy, but the food itself is incredibly tasty and convenient and fast and affordable.
I’m open to other suggestions. But That Chicken Place is the only restaurant outside of hecking Disney World that has had an actual manager/specialist check with me on almost every occasion when I get my food to make sure it’s safe and to double check with me before I wind up with regular nuggets when the order was flagged for gluten allergy (and therefore saved me the embarrassment of having to send something back to the kitchen). I know. I KNOW that the owner of the company is terrible and funding terrible things. But. Also. Try living with severe food restrictions. Sometimes you get tired of lugging around a cooler or turning down plans and just want something quick and easy and cheap and safe.
#five guys burgers also is pretty safe but it isn’t fast food#there are many food options but only one fast food option so far#there is also the Wendy’s baked potato and chili I think but I dislike both#and I wouldn’t trust it anyway#though I will trust a Frosty but that isn’t a meal#waiting to hear what magical fast food joints that don’t exist around me cater to my very specific tummy#quilly’s gluten free life#quilly has issues
