That sounds like a really cool concept!! I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask, but I can certainly try ^^' This is going to pretty focused on your poll idea, as a heads up

Since you're trying to do it before Legends Z-A comes out, I'd suggest relying pretty heavily on your queue/schedule function. Since mega evos are only single-stage and final-stage pokemon atm, you can probably get through pretty quickly if you go at a steady pace. I'd probably also suggest skipping anyone who already has a Mega Evolution, just to shorten it a little bit more. Scheduling posts will help a lot with that, since it takes off the pressure to do everything right on the spot (at least in my experience).

Since it sounds like an opinion poll, I'd suggest keeping the poll options down to like 3-5 options (yes/idc/no) so you don't have to re-type the same thing over and over. Afaik, there's no way to easily remake the same poll options over and over, so you'll have to type them out repeatedly. If you're doing it on a computer, it might be good to have a .txt file or something that you can copy/paste from!

Since you're on a bit of a limited time thing, I'd suggest sticking with just the official art. Unless you have a system or template, editing photos can be pretty time consuming. (Editing the gifs/pngs for gen 2 this round took me about 10 hours) You can find all official art fairly easily on the Bulbagarden archives! They're going to be all over the place in terms of size, but if you're only using the one, tumblr's sizing weirdness shouldn't affect it too much ^^

I'd suggest deciding early on if you want to allow conversation about spoilers, leaks, or rumors on the blog. It could be a fun place to speculate, but if you're up front about what you're going to enforce will change who will follow the blog, yk?

[EN] Nothing wears me down like the grind of everyday life. The photo might hint at a touch of optimism—there was a glimpse of sun, at least for a moment. Yesterday, for the first time in I don’t know how long, I skipped posting here. I woke up today feeling tired, trudged out to get my steps in and tire myself out even more, and then indulged in a brief moment of relaxation in a hot bath. Now I’m ready to sleep, but first, I have to go through the photos from the entire week. Then there’s my daily dose of social-promotion efforts. And, of course, this post. What else? There’s always something.

Tomorrow, it starts again—pushing toward a better future. Or just any future.

I’ve started baking bread at home. It’s surprisingly easy and deeply satisfying. Two loaves down so far, and both vanished within 10 minutes of coming out of the oven. A queue of eager family members forms, and they devour the warm bread instantly. Being the obsessive type, I might one day grind my own flour. Or plant rye and wheat in the garden to become a total purist. But that probably won’t be sustainable. Then again, who cares?

We live in times where you walk into a store, and 80% of the products are edible food-like substances. I’ve eaten enough of that junk. This is one of the changes I’m making. We’ll see where it takes me. 🍞🌾✨

Chleb zacząłem piec w domu. To bardzo w sumie łatwe i satysfakcjonujące. Dwa bochenki na razie za mną. Oba zniknęły w 10 minut od upieczenia. Zaraz ustawia się kolejka chętnych i pochłaniają jeszcze ciepły wypiek w mgnieniu oka. Jako człowiek który miewa pierdolca do kwadratu pewnie jeszcze któregoś dnia zrobię własną mąkę na ten chleb. Albo zasieję, żyto i pszenicę w ogródku żeby być takim purystą totalnym. Tylko, że to pewnie nie będzie sustainable. No ale co tam?

Żyjemy w czasach kiedy wchodzi się do sklepu a tam z 80 procent produktów to takie jadalne wyroby jedzenio-podobne. Zjadłem tego już wystarczająco dużo. To jedna ze zmian które wdrażam. Zobaczymy dokąd mnie to zaprowadzi. 🍞🌾✨

you know… i like that the pokémon series actually has such solid worldbuilding. you wouldn’t think a series of creature collecting games aimed at children that’s trying to make absolute bank off of marketable plushies and such would have like a whole entire lore bible but it does. every region is a separate place in the same world and they acknowledge that. people visit other regions and make note of cultural differences. they’re aware of the major news in other regions even though it doesn’t affect them or have anything to do with their own stories. it isn’t like one continuous story where you have to have played one game to understand another (like kingdom hearts) but it isn’t like a random inconsistent mashup of stories that contradict each other and reinvent the so-called timeline every game (like the legend of zelda). no shade to either of those franchises obviously i’m just saying i think pokémon kinda struck gold in that regard

I don't really have a point here because none of this is strictly canon but the thing about blaming Ford in fanon for not being interested in Fiddleford in the 80s or for choosing Bill over Fidds or for not getting over his internalized homophobia long enough to get dicked down in the bunker or whatever the hell you want to call it, is that... Fiddleford wasn't available.

Fiddleford was married, he had a child. Fiddleford is the one who asked Ford if he ever thought about getting married. Regardless of what other signals Fiddleford was sending at the time or how much or how little Ford accepted them... Ford was always going to be the other man. And maybe Fiddleford is just in a lavender marriage and Emma May understood going in that Fiddleford would be sleeping with other men, but then what does that say about Fiddleford? He's longing for a relationship from so far inside the closet that he has a child. A relationship with a man who's so far in a different closet his boyfriend literally doesn't exist on the material plane.

And what is he expecting from that relationship? Is he going to go back home to Palo Alto and travel back to Gravity Falls for business and a quick fuck? Is he going to leave his wife and child to live with a reclusive scientist in the wilderness? You can "Gravity Falls isn't homophobic in the 80s" all you want but the fact remains that Emma May Dixon exists and needs to be a factor when talking about these ideas from an interpretive standpoint. Fiddleford is a practicing Catholic as of 1982. His entire family is presumably still in Tennessee. Is he expecting to leave that support network behind in favor of Ford, a man who very clearly cannot fill those roles in Fiddleford's life? A fact that becomes infinitely more relevant if we consider the possibility that Fiddleford actually loved Emma May?

Like. Idk I just so rarely see these things get talked about, because usually the idea is that Stanford Pines is Just That Repressed (he is) that he ignored Fiddleford's advances or even flat out rejected them because Bill Cipher was manipulating him (he was) but like...

Even without Bill being involved, even without all the theoretical social pressure, how viable of a romantic option is Fiddleford, anyways?
