Arthur had always been different.

Not quirky different or just socially awkward, mind you. No, Arthur started out as a vicious little child and grew into an even more vicious teen. He was always considered the bad seed in his family, so they were relieved when the royal guards arrived to pick him up thanks to a simple birthmark staining his skin. They didn't care what the reason was. Anything to get him out of their hair. Rectifying his behaviour would be somebody else's problem now.

Though Arthur took etiquette classes, their teachings only contributed to a misleading mask that made him even harder to deal with. He ascended the throne still terrible as ever, his tyrannical rule now everybody's problem.

His favourite pastime? Coming up with creative ways to punish those who couldn't live up to his unreasonable demands.

Arthur's personal guards, Ludwig and Gilbert, dealt with this on a regular basis, as Arthur liked going out of his way to make their job difficult – to better train them, he claimed. The cooks, Lovino and Francis, had to bend over backwards to satisfy whatever craving Arthur had on a whim, be it special tarts containing some rare ingredient or the perfect unbirthday cake to suit his mood. Alfred, the court jester, got away with the most, but even he was kept on a tight leash.

In spite of these inconveniences, they were considered somewhat lucky to be amongst Arthur's favoured servants – compared to others, failing to live up to expectations was much less likely to result in not being allowed to live, period.

They were amusing to him, and he had no desire to part with a good source of amusement. Unfortunately, this did not always reassure them. Due to their frequent contact with Arthur, they were subject to scrutiny and ridiculous "tests" more than most, and Arthur's moods really could be unpredictable.

Every day meant keeping on their toes.

yk merlin’s ending got me thinking, ik destiny says arthur will bring camelot’s golden age and all, and that arthur is camelot’s once and future king, but the show ends, with gwen on the throne.

Gwen is reigns longer than arthur and she’s probably the one who brings camelot’s golden age. Whether the magic ban got lifted, we don’t know.

So like i think gwen should have been the prophesied one and the creatures should have praised the ground gwen steps on not arthur lmaoo

++ the fact that she is a peasant, just how arthur is originally a peasant in the legends, but yes arthur also contributed to crowning her, but i still think gwen should be praised more

As Thaddeus mounts his horse, Matthew remains on the bench like a statue. He sits there, hours after the sound of footsteps have vanished into nothingness, melding with the evening banter of the town in the distance. The wind hums around him, and with it carries his tears. His eyes rest on the stone path, in which the red leafed trees arch over, like an eternal canopy. It seems almost a lifetime ago that Thaddeus was there. There is a sense of longing in Matthew’s heart, that he cannot rid of. One that will not change with the seasons.  And like Queen Guinevere, he is alone.

Thoughts on Canon Universes: Part 2/5

Wondertalia: A relatively recent AU, but it grew on me so quickly. Mainly the absolute madman, Queen of Hearts Arthur. 💕 I love the idea of his poor guards, Ludwig (and assumedly Gilbert too) having to protect this tyrant ruler while never knowing what to expect from him. This is also a fun AU to combine with Cardverse if you want to spice up the Kingdom of Spades.

Nekotalia: FABULOUS AND FLUFFY. I love cats. The Hetalia art style makes them look kind of weird sometimes, but they're super cute in fan art.

Cat Boy: CATS. Again. But this time they're humans! I'm always down for that, so long as they look like themselves and the cat features aren't used for uke-ification purposes. 😅

Circustalia: It's so vibrant and colourful. Their roles suit them very well! America would be a very charismatic ringleader. Also, I love Russia's outfit!

s03e10: Queen of Hearts AU

arwen -> morgwen & merthur

Morgana is still haunted by visions of Gwen being crowned Queen, but the real reason why she despises that particular future are the (not actually unrequited) feelings for her maid-servant she desperately tried to get over during her time with Morgause. Gwen being crowned as Arthurs Queen however is the last straw and Morgana tries everything (except outing them to Uther) to put an end to Arwens relationship before it has even begun. Merlin, obviously, tries everything to stop her. Unknowingly to both of them, Arthur and Gwen have a surprising heart to heart in the meantime, talking about dreams and hopes for their futures that don‘t quite align anymore (mainly due to their denied feelings for certain warlocks/sorceresses).

Featuring:

jealous morgana / protective merlin

smart gwen / obliviously pining arthur

a quartett of denied feelings & lots of miscommunication

angst with a happy ending

In the end it‘s nothing more than a simple misinterpretation. Morgana keeps having visions, until she finally realizes that they never meant Gwen to be Arthur‘s Queen. When the vision reveals itself fully, it is no other than Morgana herself crowning her love.

It was time for his act and Donald puts cement on him so he doesn't escape but suddenly the baby feels stage fright

At one of the tables, Benny Cab lights up Bambi and apologizes

Mickey decides to help baby shelby by taking him out of his shell and using him as a xylophone and laughing baby shelby plays there

Mrs. Turtle gets happy and screams with joy, then you see that everyone has praised her act

When Mrs. Turtle thanks Mickey, baby Shelby escapes from her shell, there Donald finds him and gives him to her. Then Mrs. Turtle tells her that Donald will be her baby's babysitter

That bothered Donald.
