He sighs and points to me, "You. Us."

"Really?" I tilt my head and smile, "Hmm."

I shake my head, "Not at all. I just, I never really thought anyone would write a song about me."

He holds his arms open for me to lay on his chest, "I had to. You were the perfect muse for me."

"Perfect?" I lay a hand on his stomach, "Really?"

"Mhm. It's about, two people. Who.." he pauses and I can hear his heart beat speed up, "kinda.. fell in love during a certain time period.."

I believe he's referring to us being quarantined together.

So... It's my Birthday.

I would usually post about this on my personal blog, but I'm going to touch basis here instead since it does have some relation to my XIV blog at the end. First of all, if you've sent me a well wish for my birthday, you're amazing. Thank you. Each one of them so far has been incredibly heartwarming and while I ask nothing of anyone today... heartwarming is extra welcome because I am going through it right now.

Yesterday we took my 4 month old kitten, Ozzie, to the vet for his last set of vaccinations until next year. It went great! Little man is an absolute king. I've never seen such a brave and curious little cat. The car ride was zero stress for him. Not a single peep, just curiously watching the country side go by mid tongue bath. I've never seen a cat so blaise about a car ride. He was the same way at the vet office. Once out of his carrier and in the exam room he'd bound up to meet the staff and greet them with tail high and perked ears. In hindsight, after the experience, my partner and I have realized he'd probably make a great adventure cat, so we will likely be looking into harness and leash training very soon.

What I wasn't expecting, was returning home to find my cat (and emotional support animal) not acting like herself and showing me all the signs she'd fallen ill with something. She is my baby. My comfort, my emotional rock. The amount of emotional understanding and empathy she's shown me in the first four years of her life still astounds me more and more everyday. ...But Sootie and I are extremely co-dependent on eachother. Seeing her ill, even though we'd just returned home from the vet with Oz, we gently got her into her carrier and rushed her to the vet as well. You can imagine how shocked they were to see us again (lol).

Vet was glad I brought her in preemptively. Seems I had it exactly right. She is sick. She was running a fever of 105 when we got there. We did bloodwork (which came back squeaky clean!!) and they tried to get a urine sample, but to no avail. So they gave her a shot for her current nausea, and she's been put on liquid antibiotics. ...Antibiotics which require food and she's still not eating.

But... I don't care if its my birthday or not. I've put everything a side because she is my world. So her and I are quarentined to the bedroom together. Luckily that's her safe/comfort space, and I'm just in here to keep her company and provide additional comfort as she craves it. Currently as I write this from my mini mechanical bluetooth keyboard on my tablet... she's snuggled up in one of her favorite blankets next to me, tucked in for additional warmth.

But until she's doing a little better... I will be resigned to this set up...

So I will likely spend my Birthday cleaning out my tumblr inbox while I take care of my lil sick baby.

But after all the times she's looked after me in my worst states (like when I was sick with covid and despite trying to distance myself from her she would NOT leave me for the entire week. Like velcro. My lil nurse.) both mental and physical health... its the least I can do to make sure she's comfortable and has someone here for her the same way she's always been there for me.

As you all may know, we originally got "big" on our blog by posting Mario, specifically Broodal, content. We have always loved the Broodals. We likely always will. Our love for the Broodals eventually led us to look more into what their concept was based on: The Koopalings. We always loved the Koopa Kids from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3, but in specifically 2022, we fell hard for these goobers. Special intrest level hard. Our blog turned to focus more on a combination of Koopalings and Broodals, and that's what got us into making fandom friends and participating in art collabs. It was fun, espcially seeing how much creativity everyone puts into their lore for their blogs from their own personal headcanons.

One of (if not the biggest) members of this Koopa ask blog community is @ thekoopalingsandstuff. The amount of thought she puts into her lore is MAGNIFICENT, and the way she impacts mood with her writing is phenomenal. If she wants you to dislike a character, she will make that character as UNLOVABLE as possible. If she hasn't considered a career in writing or storytelling, I honestly think she should. The reason why I bring her up is because in her AU, Dieter was a character that was generally abusive towards Spewart. Deadnaming and purposely misgendering him, hitting him if he didn't comply with something, lovebombing and isolating him... A lot of horrible stuff. In this major arc, named "Dieter's Demise", at the climax, Dieter raped Spewart and was shortly killed by Ludwig. Both Spewart and Ludwig have been sensitive to the incident and have barely (if at all) spoken up about it. We (as we usually do) expressed how much we loved the arc. The writing was great, it made us hate Dieter with a burning passion. It made our heart break to see Spewart's virginity stolen. It shocked us to see, if anyone, Ludwig shed blood in an attempt to save his closest friend. Our blog doesn't create arcs as complex and thought out as arcs like Dieter's Demise. It truly felt like reading a masterpiece. We'll bring up the relevancy of Dieter's Demise later on.

We and our partner first met on Discord in the beginning of 2021, when covid was still very dangerous to everyone, and quarentine was mandated regardless if you were positive with the virus. We met through a person we knew and... We instantly fell in love. On the day before Valentine's day, we proposed to her via OwObot and asked if she would be our partner. She said yes. We were 13 and 15 at the time. We have since been together, for three and a half years at this point. She is 17 and we are 19. We are two years apart.

When creating a storyline for our blog, we decided to add some dating drama between Ludwig and Spewart. At the time, Spewart was SAing and manipulating Rango, which we added to the story (as we do with our other stories where characters get SAd) as a coping mechanism for things that had happened to us. Our stories now contain significantly less SA, but that's not the part I want to focus on. Another character (one of KAS' Broodals perhaps, because this was during a collab) informed Ludwig of how sick Spewart really was, and Ludwig called it off. Ludwig was 17, and Spewart was 19. You might think that of anything we did on our blog, it would be the abuse of Rango that would piss people off. Well, it wasn't.

In June of this year, we were invited to join a project. (By the project manager's wishes, I'm not going to say what it is or speak much on it. All that matters in this conversation is that we're part of the project.) Everything was fine and dandy until the project manager asked if they could ask some questions that were brought up to them by people of concern. We were confused, because we aren't in any drama. (Or weren't as far as we knew.) The points of concern brought up were 1) The fact that we liked KAS' arc in which Spewart got raped. Completely ignoring the storytelling or lead up, ignoring why the creator chose to write such an event into the arc. We... were asked if we liked it, because he got raped. The other question of concern was why Ludwig (17) was dating Spewart (19), since one was a minor and the other was an adult.

I never thought we had to ever say this, but we are NOT pedophiles or pedo sympathisers. We are not rapist sympathisers. Though not the same as rape, we were groomed three times and assaulted sexually once between the ages of 13-16. We vowed to, if anything, NEVER DO WHAT OUR ABUSERS DID. We were exploited sexually. We were brought into a server full of ADULTS OVER 20 (we were 16 for context) whom had brainwashed us into thinking we were being abused by our mother, and who at MULTIPLE TIMES mentioned that they "couldn't wait until we were old enough to join the 18+ channels". To even be ACCUSED of being pedophilic, or liking content due to someone getting raped, shed a massive tear between us and people that we thought were nice, friendly, charismatic. Friends. We thought they were friends.

This has left a very sour taste in our mouth. We tried to make plans to rebrand our blog, but honestly? We feel that our trust has been broken. It hurt us, a lot. We've recently been getting into more That's Not My Neighbor since March, and... It doesn't seem like we'll be getting out of it soon. It's comforting to us, how fun the community is and how many ideas have been made to fill in holes where the creator hasn't gotten to patch up quite yet. The canon lore is mysterious, and leaves you hungry for more. And it seems like, especially after what has happened, work and our personal life, our blog focus is shifting on more TNMN. And at this point, if that's the case, so be it.

We'll still lurk in the Koopaling community. We won't stop supporting our favourite artists just because of what happened to us. But I sincerely don't see us resuming our Koopaling/Broodal/Koopa Kid asks anymore.

so ive been gone for a WHILE (like maybe close to a year now) and i'm here to inform you that i didn't drop this cold turkey

So I'm a big writer and I love making self insert stuff because I'm a lonely FtM dude so why would I not? Unfortunately, I've sort of left my hq/anime writing spell. I started this acc during quarentine cause I was bored and it REALLY grew, but I'm a little bit older now, (not by much), and a little bit different.

Anyway my point is that I'm gonna orphan this blog and start a new obe that focuses on writing drabbles and other stuff, and less anime centered/show centered things. I'm posting this to let you guys know that I'm keeping this blog active so you can still read posts, but I'm not gonna write here anymore. I'm gonna be active in the next couple of weeks while I get stuff sorted out, so asks are open for things but less for writing.

i got into sanders sides in the beginning of quarentine. i met some of my best friends through this fandom. the fact that my focus faded from it doesn't change the fact that i love it with all my heart. season one and the beginnings of season two were really good because they felt so natural to me.

i don't know, i'm just a little disappointed by what's happened to it, ig.

I was gonna crack shit about Bertha wearing obviously fetish wear while everyone else has normal fabrics Vector's stealth stuff notwithstanding but that's still not the same shit as Bertha but tbh? She's the medic. This is designed for blood and shit to, like, slide off. But also it's like that scene in Repo: The Genetic Opera where the Repoman takes off his uniform and hoses it off. I imagine Umbrella medics do this as well. Or, at least, Bertha does it. Post-mission or post-torture session, she just hangs her outermost layers and fucking hoses them off. It's efficient. Practical. And she likes the look and feel of it. A true sicko. Wonderful.

Side note: all scene, NO ONE CAN HIT SHIT. like, a couple times people will get a single bullet and it won't really matter. just in general. it would be a worse scene if there were people getting dropped, but it does make me laugh that it's two elite teams and literally no one can aim for shit.

This zombie thing. is a new problem for the spec ops. I can see Umbrella having pheromones. That makes perfect sense, they need a way to direct the infected. but the spec ops guy just seeing that and KNOWING is like ??? idk. i guess it would be the logical guess when mystery smoke happens and you notice zombies coming for your ass, but he knows it .02 seconds after that shit goes off. x to doubt

Spec Ops at this point is more about killing zombies- fair, because of the pheromones- and Umbrella going STRAIGHT FOR THE TARGETS ignoring the zombies. this gives me life. this is their tactics.

I don't really understand Lupo's mask and it's three straps below her ear but whatever.

While we're on masks, i don't know how Bertha, Beltway, or Vector see with the lights in the eyes of their masks. But whatever

"We got a T103 Tyrant approaching" and then the debris blockade scene. It's jostled once. Twice. Tyrant realized that whatever he was doing wasn't working. THROWS A FUCKING CAR. this is a recurring theme for him. but it does solve more problems than it causes.

Lupo almost getting crushed by the gas sign. Picks herself up. that little headshake. then she sees the Tyrant. then the Tyrant sees her. "Holy shit!" This is Umbrella property, but she KNOWS that shit is gonna kill her and she's going to survive. Too bad shooting at it did not helpu.

Himbo #1 dealing with a zombie, slams it on the hood of a car. LUPO THROWN INTO THE DOOR OF THE CAR. Himbo #1 just ??? you know he's not Umbrella because he doesn't straight murder her. he starts shooting at the Tyrant. maybe he doesn't know if she's dead or not. if the roles were reversed, Lupo would take that shot- practical. just a quick pop to the spec ops guy, then shoot the Tyrant.

MEDIC FIGHT, MEDIC FIGHT, MEDIC FIGHT. it does demonstrate Bertha can take a fucking hit. and that her way of using her machete is to swing wildly. she doesn't have the finesse for a knife, she wants something big she can flail with and do damage. she can be delicate with a scalpel on an operating table, not in battle. about the taking a hit thing, the spec ops medic seems to be better at cqc than Bertha. she gets a kick in, but how he redirects her swing with his gun, hits her with the gun, slams her into the truck (both blows to her face) and Bertha doesn't even PAUSE. just full on attack mode

Beltway turning the zombie into a bomb. It's charming when Beltway does it, BUT WHEN NIKOLAI DOES THAT SHIT >:[

once again Himbo #1 has a moment of "...shit" and once again Tyrant's problem solving technique is to throw a car.

And of course the RESIDENT EVIL voice line. Beautiful.
