I was 18 years old when I found out what grooming was. If I knew two or three years earlier, maybe I could've prevented it. I heard stories of people who had gotten sexually harassed. I thought "Thank god I'm really aware. Thank god that will never be me."

I was 14 when it happened in person. 16 when it happened online. It happened to me.

Additionally, uneducated and ignorant children can uneducated and ignorant adults. And as a pretty young adult, I personally have a lot of experience with adults judging me for a limp, needing to sit so much, needing the public scooters provided at superstores, and et cetera. If the stigma isn't corrected as kids are young, where they develop their understanding of the world, they will grow to believe that it's okay to mistreat disabled people throughout their entire life. It hurts, and it hurts a lot.

Able bodied parents I'm begging you to teach your kids about disabled people. Not just because they could become disabled themselves one day but also because even if they don't, they have a very real chance of being rude to us if you don't teach them.

Yes, kids just say shit. They have no filter. That doesn't make it any less humiliating when your child sits near me on the bus and incessantly grills me on why I have a stick when I'm not old. Or laughs at us for things our disability causes. It doesn't take away the hurt when they bully a disabled classmate. For a large part these things could be avoided if you just taught your kids to respect us. It's really not that hard.

Cuphead Headcanons: Inkwell Hell Edition

Inkwell Hell is here! sorry i took so long.it took a lot of brainstorming. let’s get started. i’ll be doing the cupbros and npc’s in a separate post.

King Dice: Probably the most popular character in the fandom. this fancy motherfucker is better than you and he knows it. you know that guy who’s acts gay but insists he’s straight. This is the guy. he’s a master at pretty much every form of gambling, and is actually a huge board game fan. His personal favorite is monopoly since it involves gambling and risk if you play the right way. Loves loves loves any shade of purple but royal purple is his go to. Has had sex but is a little afraid of commitment. if cuphead was a tv show, this dude would be get the biggest character arc, besides maybe Cuphead and Mugman themselves. wears make-up and rocks it. slay king slay. if you need fashion or makeup advice, this is the guy to come to. you just have to give him something in return. as a human, he’d be that kind of suave black guy you can ALWAYS find in either Vegas or New Orleans. can and will charm the pants off you just for a quick payday. but don’t think he doesn’t care about some, because he does. he regularly makes sure the Devil does his work, helps translate for Pachinko, Chips, Pirouletta, and Wheezy when they get too angry and they start talking in their native language/accent gets too thick, and will stop the domino twins from fighting. does he HAVE to do these things? no. Does he do them anyway? Yes. I could go on but i think that’s enough. And yes, i think he’s trans. ICON!! BTW Pachinko is a nix’d casino boss that i really like.

The Tipsy Troop: Best of drinking buddies. The triple threat of bartending, with a knowledge to match. They are constantly drunk, but they’re brains have gotten used to the constant stream of alcohol, so they have they’re wits about them. Rum is the oldest, and has the best stories if you’ll listen. some come just to hear his tales of when he worked at a strip club, or a high-class restaurant. Whiskey is the second oldest, and has the corniest jokes. you need to vent out your problems, this is the guy. He actually got kicked out of psych school because he drank too much, so he became a bartender. Martini is the youngest, and is a little emotionless but gives the best advice. She can also spot a cheater at the craps table and will fling a fork at them to get them to stop. She has impeccable aim and can do the best tricks since she’s the only one who actually went to bartending school (is that a thing?).

Chips Bettigan: the big twink energy that is Chips Bettigan. He’s from Texas of course is has a very thick accent because of it. He’s also the youngest of all the casino the bosses, the next youngest being the domino twins, and then Martini. He is the BEST at poker and is the only person that can beat Dice at it except the Devil himself. If you don’t think this guy will ride Phear lap like a bucking bronco, you’re WRONG! He pranks everyone in the casino, even the Devil once. Then he got his ass kicked but it was “GODDAMN WORTH IT!” he’s dating Wheezy and confessed to him in what he calls his best prank ever, dousing all of the casino residents and workers with water EXCEPT Wheezy to prove he was special. His best friend/partner in crime is Mangosteen.

Mr. Wheezy: CUBAN CIGAR AND YOU WILL PRY IN FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS!!!!! Will just randomly go into spanish when pissed, usually at Chips, the twins, or Mangosteen. He used to at Dice but then Dice cursed in Spanish back one day and he stopped. His mustache has SO much ash in it, it needs to be cleaned one a week. Can kinda be an asshole but the dude is uber stressed because the Devil dumped all the finance work on him.

Pip and Dot: Parasitic twins. they have separate brains and have tried to tear their other half apart. the mouth between them has crazy sharp teeth. While Pip is mischievous, Dot is an absolute nuisance. She picks fights with everyone, mainly Wheezy though. 

Hopus Pocus: Crazy. like march hare, Alice in Wonderland crazy. loves kids and that’s about all i got.

Phear Lap: i haven’t the slightest. all i’ve really got is he’s greedy.

Pirouletta: Russian Roulette waifu! gimme! Very kind but strict. Coy and flirty, but can and will kick your ass Black Widow style if the need arises. Strong as all hell. has picked up King Dice and no one will let either of them live it down.

Mangosteen: No one really knows what Mangosteen does, but he works there. Gamers like Chips and Hopus like to call him Sans on occasion since he’s so mysterious. When asked about his past, he’ll tell a different story every time, each more ridiculous than the last. He, Chips, and Wheezy are all best friends, and sometimes have prank wars with each other, usually with Wheezy getting ganged up on by Mango and Chips. The only one who knows where Mango came from is the Devil, who refuses to talk. He claims that it’s to traumatic for them to hear, or it’s so eccentric they’d never believe him.

Mr. Chimes. This dude has a very limited vocabulary. all he can say is “monkey see, monkey doom”, “i am mr. chimes”, and various monkey noises. He works the slots part of the casino and is always able to beat the claw machine, no matter how difficult it is deemed by Wheezy when he tries and fails to get stuffed toy for Chips.

The Devil: The big guy himself. Very greedy and very vain, but Dice always keeps him looking right. has a very deep-seated resentment to everything related to God. Wheezy’s silver cross, gone. Chips’s bible, burned. The holy water that Rum has for some reason, dumped into the ocean. No christmas, easter, or any christian holiday. he only allows christmas because the twins, Chips, and Hopus have him puppy eyes. Can change appearance at will, but prefers to look more monstrous instead of humanoid to spite his father. 10 feet tall AT LEAST.

cute/fluffy? I mean they’re pretty much like that anyways but sure lemme write some things up. Uh don’t know what specific fluffy/cute you want though..-If you ever watch Connie walking about or at their stage you can tell they have a small habit of tapping their fingers on things, their lid, their side, on a flat surface,etc! It’s mostly because they’re counting in their head. -Connie’s favorite animal is rabbits, they love rabbits, which is why they were fascinated with their coworker Hopus Pocus! They never left him alone during their first meeting, picking him up and nuzzling him, hugging him, offered to do a show with him as a partner, which they did. Hopus doesn’t mind the affection at all! He really enjoys Connie’s enthusiasm and affection. Hopus would sometimes ask to be pet on the ears or stay in their hat..Magicians got to stick together! also lets not forget to mention Connie’s Rabbit, Presto.-Connie is touch starved, they have the need to be held or something by someone..But they would mostly ask a friend! They get a tad anxious time to time since they have the desire to be touched or to touch someone, if they find a friend nearby ( or lover ) they would walk behind them eagerly and snatch you in their arms with you close against them, nothing sexual, they just want to hold you. -Speaking of holding you, if Connie got you in a hold, you’re never leaving! Connie loves the feeling of someone body , it’s warm, comforting. If you ever pay attention you’ll feel their fingers tapping at your side, grabbing hold onto your clothes, caressing you! Their hands wander alot but don’t think much about it, they’re pretty touchy. -Connie has a thing for holding hands, so if they hold your hand ( longer than 5 minutes ) be prepared because they’ll end up rubbing your knuckle with their thumb, skim along your palm with their finger, possibly kiss your knuckles or fingers, they’ll spend all of their attention on your hand...coming from someone with a hand fetish .  - If you ever become friends with Connie please prepare yourself, you see them as this charming and soft spoken clock at first but if you really get them emotionally attached to you, they become the most nurturing and devoted friend that just spoils the everlasting fuck out of you! They will do anything and by anything to keep you happy, that is all they want in life to make people happy! You’re sad? shit they’ll do something to make you smile, stressed? they’ll let you vent to them while they make you some tea and make the environment comfortable for you, Not feeling yourself today? They’ll help you around the place and make sure you’re in perfect condition and stay with you. Besides that, having a Magician for a friend has it’s perk, Connie would give you anything because you as a person make them feel as if value and that is something special to their heart to have you as a friend and only wanting everything for you!- This may not be aim towards them on others but this a cute thing about them and their grandparents! Listen, Connie loves their grandparents, these two took care of Connie when their parents couldn’t. Even if Connie had a troubled childhood, they never knew, but even so by how Connie was the way they were growing up, they still supported their grandparents mostly since they both retired from their jobs. So...stealing wallets and using magic was a way to get money easier right? to help save up so your folks can leave the apartment they have now to live somewhere more homely? Which is also why in their teens they lied about their con artist ways and forced themself to work at a bakery ( which they don’t mind ) to show they have a job ( from connie buying and saving alot of cash their folks were curious ) so they worked there until 19 and quit and went to the streets to street perform which was a good gig by the time! and then around 27-28 they found the casino which helped WAY MORE and they soon had enough to move their grandparents out and in a nice home in inkwell, while Connie kept the apartment instead when they’re not at work! When on break they do visit their grandma and grandpa to see if they’re alright and help them with groceries and cleaning the house, these two are the only two Connie has and by damn they want to make their life a good one.

Sorry for not answering asks and not posting asks, I'm just trying to ig mentally disappear from everywhere. I'm financially crumbling and now, just by trying to do the right thing on behalf of my mother, she's getting harassed at the workplace. I was the one that convinced her to get a job when she felt financially stuck, and now social services won't help us with food or rent and our rent has skyrocketed to a point that our paychecks won't cover it because our work fucked us over on hours. (Talking 4-8 hour work weeks.) I reported someone at work because they were stealing from our store and threatened to hold a robbery after they stopped working there, and the management smoothed things over with them and now they're going around trying to figure out who "snitched" on them. Mainly suspecting my mother, and me after that.

I'm literally making my mother's life worse every second. I'm literally burdening her. I don't want to draw or make art or anything anymore because I don't deserve that satisfaction when I'm literally causing hell for someone I love. I'm stuck. I'm so fucking stuck. I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi folks! Sorry we haven't been posting too much art (specifically Koopas, which is why most of you follow us). I feel that... Well, we don't owe an explanation, but we'd like to give one anyways.

This conversation is going to mention disturbing topics, including pedophilia, grooming, SA, and cult-like association. If you are easily triggered by any of these, we suggest you do not read.

For the sake of everyone's privacy, we won't name any of the abusers and accusers. Don't ask us for their contact info. This is not to slander their name, it is to explain what is going on in our life.

As you all may know, we originally got "big" on our blog by posting Mario, specifically Broodal, content. We have always loved the Broodals. We likely always will. Our love for the Broodals eventually led us to look more into what their concept was based on: The Koopalings. We always loved the Koopa Kids from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3, but in specifically 2022, we fell hard for these goobers. Special intrest level hard. Our blog turned to focus more on a combination of Koopalings and Broodals, and that's what got us into making fandom friends and participating in art collabs. It was fun, espcially seeing how much creativity everyone puts into their lore for their blogs from their own personal headcanons.

One of (if not the biggest) members of this Koopa ask blog community is @ thekoopalingsandstuff. The amount of thought she puts into her lore is MAGNIFICENT, and the way she impacts mood with her writing is phenomenal. If she wants you to dislike a character, she will make that character as UNLOVABLE as possible. If she hasn't considered a career in writing or storytelling, I honestly think she should. The reason why I bring her up is because in her AU, Dieter was a character that was generally abusive towards Spewart. Deadnaming and purposely misgendering him, hitting him if he didn't comply with something, lovebombing and isolating him... A lot of horrible stuff. In this major arc, named "Dieter's Demise", at the climax, Dieter raped Spewart and was shortly killed by Ludwig. Both Spewart and Ludwig have been sensitive to the incident and have barely (if at all) spoken up about it. We (as we usually do) expressed how much we loved the arc. The writing was great, it made us hate Dieter with a burning passion. It made our heart break to see Spewart's virginity stolen. It shocked us to see, if anyone, Ludwig shed blood in an attempt to save his closest friend. Our blog doesn't create arcs as complex and thought out as arcs like Dieter's Demise. It truly felt like reading a masterpiece. We'll bring up the relevancy of Dieter's Demise later on.

We and our partner first met on Discord in the beginning of 2021, when covid was still very dangerous to everyone, and quarentine was mandated regardless if you were positive with the virus. We met through a person we knew and... We instantly fell in love. On the day before Valentine's day, we proposed to her via OwObot and asked if she would be our partner. She said yes. We were 13 and 15 at the time. We have since been together, for three and a half years at this point. She is 17 and we are 19. We are two years apart.

When creating a storyline for our blog, we decided to add some dating drama between Ludwig and Spewart. At the time, Spewart was SAing and manipulating Rango, which we added to the story (as we do with our other stories where characters get SAd) as a coping mechanism for things that had happened to us. Our stories now contain significantly less SA, but that's not the part I want to focus on. Another character (one of KAS' Broodals perhaps, because this was during a collab) informed Ludwig of how sick Spewart really was, and Ludwig called it off. Ludwig was 17, and Spewart was 19. You might think that of anything we did on our blog, it would be the abuse of Rango that would piss people off. Well, it wasn't.

In June of this year, we were invited to join a project. (By the project manager's wishes, I'm not going to say what it is or speak much on it. All that matters in this conversation is that we're part of the project.) Everything was fine and dandy until the project manager asked if they could ask some questions that were brought up to them by people of concern. We were confused, because we aren't in any drama. (Or weren't as far as we knew.) The points of concern brought up were 1) The fact that we liked KAS' arc in which Spewart got raped. Completely ignoring the storytelling or lead up, ignoring why the creator chose to write such an event into the arc. We... were asked if we liked it, because he got raped. The other question of concern was why Ludwig (17) was dating Spewart (19), since one was a minor and the other was an adult.

I never thought we had to ever say this, but we are NOT pedophiles or pedo sympathisers. We are not rapist sympathisers. Though not the same as rape, we were groomed three times and assaulted sexually once between the ages of 13-16. We vowed to, if anything, NEVER DO WHAT OUR ABUSERS DID. We were exploited sexually. We were brought into a server full of ADULTS OVER 20 (we were 16 for context) whom had brainwashed us into thinking we were being abused by our mother, and who at MULTIPLE TIMES mentioned that they "couldn't wait until we were old enough to join the 18+ channels". To even be ACCUSED of being pedophilic, or liking content due to someone getting raped, shed a massive tear between us and people that we thought were nice, friendly, charismatic. Friends. We thought they were friends.

This has left a very sour taste in our mouth. We tried to make plans to rebrand our blog, but honestly? We feel that our trust has been broken. It hurt us, a lot. We've recently been getting into more That's Not My Neighbor since March, and... It doesn't seem like we'll be getting out of it soon. It's comforting to us, how fun the community is and how many ideas have been made to fill in holes where the creator hasn't gotten to patch up quite yet. The canon lore is mysterious, and leaves you hungry for more. And it seems like, especially after what has happened, work and our personal life, our blog focus is shifting on more TNMN. And at this point, if that's the case, so be it.

We'll still lurk in the Koopaling community. We won't stop supporting our favourite artists just because of what happened to us. But I sincerely don't see us resuming our Koopaling/Broodal/Koopa Kid asks anymore.
