this might be a bit of a weird first question, so i hope it makes sense! 6-6 is there an animal you associate with your OC(s)? if so, why? and, would it be the same animal that might represent their 'avatar' (like, do you think the animal you associate with them would also mirror them spiritually?)? given that dragons can be avatars, it doesn't have to be an "existing" animal; it could be extinct, of folklore, or maybe something native to their planet, if your oc isn't from 3rd earth. also, puzzle, the 'avatar' portion of this question was focused on a tmnt-thing, so if you want to skip it entirely go for it >xD;; i apologize!

All good my friend! For Isabel, I associate hummingbirds with her~ They have lots of symbols and representation depending on country and culture, but common joy, courage, strength (especially in Aztec culture where they are reborn warriors and women who passed in childbirth), and freedom. All of these things either represent traits I feel Isabel embodies or traits she is working towards finding in herself. I think she would have a hummingbird be represented as her avatar if it was the option. Funny enough, I also have another creature I associate with her. the lindwrym (specifically from the tale of the Lindwrym Prince). Isabel has a tendency to build up walls around herself, layering herself in order to feel safe, but it can be to her detriment. Removing the layers to her true self is a struggle, but in the end, needed to be her truest self around those she loves. I hope this answered your question!

Something about how loudly Edwin says Charles' name in this scene has been driving me insane and I think I've finally figured out why.

When Charles finds Edwin in hell, Edwin is rolled into a little ball of misery, covered in blood and quietly sobbing. It's probably a position he's developed over decades, making himself as small as possible, being as quiet as possible, trying to take up as little space as possible. He's almost pretending he doesn't exist in order to stretch out the moments before the spider finds him and the loop starts again.

And then Charles says his name and Edwin looks up and sees Charles, and it's like all of his defenses just vanish. He doesn't whisper Charles' name, he says it, loudly, as if he has completely forgotten where he is and that they need to be quiet. He gets up, unfurls his limbs, slowly standing up to his full height, taking up space again. Every instinct in his body should tell him to stay hidden and as invisible and silent as possible, but Charles has just smiled at him, and Edwin speaks again, asking "Is that you?" and letting out a shaky breath of relief.

He is completely vulnerable and exposed now, like Charles' arrival has made him completely forget that they are in hell and that he could be ripped apart by a spider doll demon at any moment. All the defences he has built up over literal decades just completely crumble as soon as he hears Charles' voice.

And then the spider comes and rips him away, and I don’t think it would have done (at least not yet), had Edwin not alerted it to his presence like that. I think that’s why this moment wouldn’t let go of me, because I always thought it shouldn’t be this easy for Edwin to abandon a survival tactic he has developed over decades of torture. But all it takes is Charles being there, and Edwin forgets everything else.

I can't stop thinking about the rings on Hermes' fingers. I can't. Whats the story behind those? Did he start wearing them because Charon gave them to him as a job well done? The weirdest gift imaginable to your professional associate?

Did Hermes steal them to be a cheeky bastard and got them fitted and put them on for the jokes? Did he start wearing them apropos of nothing? Just happen to start accessorizing like his professional associate? Is it part of a shared uniform? Can we see the employee handbook?

Did Charon go out and get rings commissioned to look exactly like his for not one, but two of his partner in crimes' fingers, slide each lovingly onto Hermes' corresponding digits, and then gently hold his now bejeweled hands in his own to see how they match, knowing Hermes will now carry something of Charon with him when he leaves him for his dangerous work?

I'm just. Asking. Questions. But I swear to God, if we get Charon's portrait and he has a feather or an orange ribbon somewhere on his person, I will be inconsolable for days.

I will be perfectly honest, I somehow like every single detail about timebomb's lovestruck skins.

- the cute round beads that imitate Jinx's second braid are also found on Ekko's pants... pants, on which he has very cute pins that may very sweetly parallel Jinx's jacket pins

Oh Bestie, you have unlocked the music lover in me. For instrumentals, I have a few that I have in line for Isabel, most of which are from movies and tv shows that shaped a lot of my childhood, and thus inspired my Isabel so much.

The Locket Theme from Sailor Moon is one of my softer theme choices for Isabel, I mentally save this for when she is especially emotionally vulnerable, either on her own or sharing said moment with someone she allows close to her.

Electric Daisy by Lindsey Stirling is one of Isabel happy and upbeat themes, especially when she's feel to express herself whole heartily and truthfully without fear of judgement.

For more music, lyrical and more, I actually have a spotify playlist that are songs that inspire me/narrative appropriate songs for Isabel. It can be a tonal rollercoaster at time, but I feel this also illustrates her character really well in music terms~
