My take on the sprint quali and the amount of hate going on in F1

So I just got back from the store and I haven’t been able to check my phone. I see Yuki qualifies P15 in the sprint and then the fans are beefing with each other again. Like, you don’t have to like Yuki and you don’t have to like Daniel, but go and start fights in the comment section just because you want to so freaking childish.

I don’t understand why they can’t either

1. Support both drivers.

Or

2. Support their favorite driver without putting down the other one.

As a Yuki and Daniel fan, it’s so sad to see them hating on each other and hating on the drivers just because they want to protect their drivers. Yes, Daniel did amazing and it’s sad that you didn’t get to qualify like we wanted, but there’s no reason to go into the comment section and start fights.

Also sad to see that Alex and Logan didn’t get to qualify either. I don’t know what happened because I didn’t get to watch it since I was out of the house, but I feel for them either way.

And the thing I learned about Lance haters, even if he does well, they’re gonna hate him for absolutely no reason. They’re going to hate just to hate. I swear to God, some Formula One fans are adults or old enough to know right from wrong, but at like they are middle schoolers with all the hate and cyber bullying they are doing.

You don’t have to like a driver, but you don’t have to ridicule them either. I understand he is a part of the job, but you can criticize someone’s driving skills, abilities, and other things without hating on them. However, it seems like for some formula fans, they are in capable of doing so

god, instagram has gotten so hostile to artists now.

first of all, they insist that you “create content”, when a.) art =/= content; and b.) there’s just something so smarmy about the way “content” shows up in everything now. it’s very inhuman and synthetic sounding, like you’re just pushing something out the door for the likes, not because you have a story to tell or you do something out of the kindness of your heart.

i hate what they’ve done to stories now—or rather what they’re about to, i haven’t been on there in over a week. see, i actually thought that was a cool little addendum, because i could share things like wips, but also posts that caught my eye or posts i want to support—what made it cool was the privacy of it all. it lasted 24 hours and then it goes away. i got away with posting some dark and erotic art and also some sweet moments between me and alex on live because of the privacy of stories. they’ve got this whole section on your profile now solely dedicated to stories à la reels or the short-lived “ig tv.” never mind completely cluttering the page with more shit and continually bogging everything down for a second: they’re not private anymore, i.e., because i’m as fiery and controversial as i am, i’m a drama magnet (though 99% of the time, it’s not even my fault—people just don’t know what to do with me). i felt like i was playing with fire last year posting the art from the first book of seasons grey: i won’t make it out of the inferno alive now. i know what people are like. i know what women are like, especially when there’s a man involved.

i hate how EVERYTHING is a video now. tumblr is really bad with this (though when i share a video, it’s either something that makes me laugh or something i find interesting; too many of you post videos because video apps have scrambled your brain and those who run websites see that, hey, you like videos, let’s make everything into a video); instagram is utterly rife with this. what used to be a photo app is now just a tiktok clone—“tiktok lite” or “the diet coke version of tiktok” as i call it. you not only have to “create content”, but you apparently have to have the attention span of a gnat to be on there, and jesus christ on a bike, it is so exhausting after a time. i deal with enough tiktok bullshit on ao3 with people abusing the tags/not knowing how it works or how to even string a cohesive sentence together. i also deal with enough tiktok bullshit on here with the same things and people getting all up on their high horse on how they “curate their experience”, like holy shit, do you want an award or something? i don’t need more of it, and especially on a place that should’ve been for me and people like me.

i also am just sick and tired of seeing how much better everyone has it. i know, i know, “it’s just a highlight reel”. but… that very sentiment is coming out of the mouths of the same people posting said highlight reels. why should i believe you when you actively contribute to that sentiment? i get that human nature is complex, but do you really expect me to believe you when you try and convince me that you’re being “real” or “authentic” when you deliberately choose to show me the “good stuff” only? it’s so billie eilish, too, preaching about “authenticity” but there’s simultaneously something off about the whole thing.

i also can’t bear the fact that alex is with someone literally putting him in physical danger/doing fuck all to keep him safe from potential diseases and injuries. there’s no way around it: it’s abuse. it’s abuse, and yeah, she’s one to talk about animals bearing the brunt of all our problems, too. for two years now, i’ve suspected that she’s mentally abusing him, but now we can check off the physical aspect, and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about, especially when i know she’s running testament’s social accounts now—and i have a sneaking suspicion that it’s because of my flirting with alex and i can say without even thinking twice about it that the feelings are mutual. maddy backed me into a corner for literally absolutely no goddamn reason other than out of her own paranoia and insecurities, and now that instagram has completely stripped away my right to privacy, i can’t afford to be on there now, not just as an artist but as someone who’s sexual. control freaks hate losing control, it’s the one thing they’re afraid of… so i’m going to let the machine do that for me. skynet became self-aware to the point it was unstoppable: instagram is headed that way on the back of tiktok. enjoy the control you have now, bitch. i flirt because it’s fun and cute and also sweet and i know it makes him feel good, but she’s apparently way too dumb to realize this. for someone who’s supposedly “brilliant” and “smart”, she sure is dumb.

before chris died, i was thinking of shuttering my old account—and then he did, and suddenly, i found a reason. back then, i felt like the place was getting barren and i also felt short-changed, like “i thought this would be a place for me, now i’m seeing that it’s only good for you when you’re mega-talented and have followers built in.” and that was back then. but if I hated what it was becoming back in 2017, I really hate what it’s become now.

aaahhh i such a nice time w the boy!! he’s v sweet and we’ll hopefully be going out again next week! he was v understanding abt the gap in dates and the uncle (who i’ve found out was telling purposeful lies to the boy’s coworkers to try and cause problems there which ?? rlly? whomst is the adult here??)

we also went bowling (i still suck) and while neither of us should be joining a league anytime soon, it was a lot of fun!! also it was uncanny bc in one of my wips, the main polycule go on a bowling date and the theme song of that wip (we are young by fun. btw) came on while we were bowling?? like that wip has had its moments that have ended up becoming real but that one was the most uncanny (in a nice way ofc)

Maybe when I get my shit together, I'd love to write a fic where Danny somehow gets that tape with Steve being almost beheaded by Taliban. Idk, maybe he accidentally gots it via YT fucked up recs? I bet Taliban has streamed it worldwide, so it's possible.

Imagine the anguish Danny feels watching it. I'm sure he'd watch it till the end.

Maybe it's been said many times, but still.

The way Steve looks at Danny when Danny becomes completely unhinged: especially, when some crook refuses to cooperate/is being a piece of crap/mentions Danny's daughter/etc.

That look in his eye. Man, that's something else entirely. You can physically feel Steve wishes Danny wouldn't have to resort to violence, and he wishes he could've done that himself. But here's Danny getting his knuckles bruised, and...

Well, fuck.

On s4 rewatch now.

Can we talk how persistent Danny is in trying to warn Steve that Cath is gonna break his heart eventually coz her ex is in the picture again?

Danny's trying to hard to put in Steve's head that he's gonna get hurt again. And honestly, rubbing the salt in the wound like that isn't quite Danny's style - with Steve, anyways. Steve is usually the one who pushes all the buttons, but in this situation I find them somehow reversing roles a bit. Yeah, Danny is always the voice of reason, but I also find it heartwrenching that Danno speaks from experience. And he doesn't want Steve to go down this road of despair. Not because he wouldn't be there for him-ofc, Danno will be because Steve's his friend and more. Beyond Danno's words you feel how he is already sorry for Steve and knows what's coming. And his heart breaks for Steve.

And even though it's wrapped in one of their cargument things, it doesn't make it less of a punch in the gut. Because you, the viewer, know as Danny does too that Steve will be eventually betrayed, and he'll be hurting, and you feel Danny's pain and fear that his friend, after losing so much, being through so much, is gonna get another hit from the person he trusts most.

I saw the comment about 8 1/2 (the movie about film making and writers block). Alex is culture vulture. Brilliant writers embed themselves in external worlds and reflect internally on them. Taylor has always been a cinephile but so has he. If you watch 2008 interviews for TLSP, it seemed as though that time pushed him towards foreign cinema. Alexa played a role as well. My mistakes were made for loving you screams cinematic tone!

I think Arielle was the breath of fresh air that came with fame. These 4 boys were now on the North American radar and along with it came all the cliches. But in my personal opinion, there wasn’t much of an intellectual intrigue there. He had to sort of come back to his artistic roots. I am willing to bet that played a part in his attraction to Taylor too. She’s a huge David lynch fan (long before him) and lynch borrowed so much from the neo noir and avant garde movements. I’ll touch on that in a blog (I’m doing a cinema write up for body paint right now. I did the lyrics one on tumblr a few days ago)

Tbhc to me will always be the Taylor album. I followed her Instagram religiously (I always found her interesting to be fair. Wild card). She definitely offered a lot of imagery that he used for certain lyrics. Obviously every artist has a muse. The rest is all his talent and his world of creation. The muses catapult the creation that has been stagnant.

I don’t think she’s hinting as much as she is caught in nostalgia. Healing is in stages right ? I think the timing is questionable but as much as she reflects back, I think we all know and she knows there isn’t any going back. It’s a cathartic release if anything.

A romanticized farewell. In my humble opinion as a grown adult, I don’t think she wants to profit off his fame or this fandom. She responded to one post since their breakup in which someone put her down for her old ways. She is tagged almost daily but doesn’t play on it.

I think her hinting is romanticized nostalgia.

He does it and we don’t really go after him for it. He does it with lyrics. She does it with her Instagram stories. Same release, same reflection, different methods. But we seem to believe one is more acceptable.

8 1/2 was also a movie Loren Humphrey was mentioned introducing him to. Same with all the French cinema. Once you’re immersed on a path everything else aligns. With the French new wave films came the rest of the ingredients. French girl, French clothing, and the romanticism of cinema.

I’m bias because this is my realm of studies back in the day and I thoroughly enjoyed EYCTE. This album reeks of elements used in eycte. I do like this new phase.

Every artist has a phase. This seems to linger because it’s multifaceted. He will always find something to create out of it.

To be very clear and frank, I really don’t hate the guy.  I love this show and I know he is a big part of why.  I have lots of positive feelings!  But I get really impatient with him when he’s so anti-Chenford, while still exploiting the chemistry constantly.  Bruh, don’t string me along.  You don’t have to tell us, “Yes, they’re absolutely going to get together, and it will be in Season 4, episode 6.”  But maybe not bag on them so often?  Maybe not say that you love Chenford fans in one breath and then crap on their reaction to what you’re putting out on screen in the next breath?  And if you’re hardcore set on them never ever becoming romantic, that’s your right as a showrunner, but then you need to scale back what is shown on screen AND COMPLETELY DIAL BACK THE MARKETING.  The network and show marketing departments absolutely use Chenford for the bulk of their marketing.  (All you need to do is scroll through The Rookie’s official IG page for the last month and at least 50% or more of the posts are about Chenford and usually tagged as such too.  There is NO mistaking exactly what they’re doing.)   So just...don’t talk down to me as a fan and don’t jerk me around.  It’s not that hard.  (Not as hard as it apparently is to keep track of your own damn timeline, apparently.) Full disclosure as well, I’ve watched shows where the actors had chemistry that hadn’t been expected and some shows chose to work with it and change their story to capitalize on the captivating chemistry.  Other shows went the other direction and basically tried to punish the audience for being fascinated by a pairing.  So that past experience definitely is feeding into my opinions here.

800 new follower lately “where have you been before?”

“What’s your favorite of the drop?” He hasn’t seen everything from the drop (like the COSMIC tie-dye) bc he’s in Santa Fe. He loves the COSMIC and MALEX embroidered things (“so subtle”) bc they are in Vlamburn’s handwriting, he loves the Manesqueeze shirt bc you can make Alex and Michael kiss by putting your wrists together. He *loves* the candle (there’s one burning on his bedside table), the silky PJs are great, but he can’t decide on just one favorite thing.

“How’s Jesa’s sanity?” She needs like 3 weeks of sleep. He explains, that while we *are* the Vlambase, the Vlambase merch company’s just Jesa and Vlamis. Jesa has a team, but all the day-to-day things, ideas, emails/customer service (Jesa), the newsletter (Vlamis). They hadn’t collaborated with anyone before Tyler, so working with him was a new experience. 

One fan mentions how they wanted to buy stuff but couldn’t. Vlamis says that he’s been there, and when he wanted something in the past he couldn’t afford, he started putting away a Dollar a day. 

“Thought on One Direction?” Vlamis is a Harry Styles guy. “Harry Styles’ swagger is next level!”

“What do you think about Russia? Will Vlambase merch be available here?” Talks a bit about how annoying things are with shipping companies, says they wanted to protect themselves for the holidays, and now that the Christmas rush is over, some shipping options have become available again. 

“Who came up with  MANESQUEEZE” He ponders about it, and settles on Jesa. It was Vlamis’s ides to put tiny Alex and tiny Michael on the sleeves so that they can kiss tho. And Tyler came up with the idea to put a “toupee” on his head (in a previous drop, the NEVER LOOK AWAY design had tiny Alex and tiny Michael on the sleeves, but poor Alex was bald) for the design.

Someone got a MALEX pin and the candle. He knows the pin sold out fast, and he feels bad about that. They want everyone to get everything they want, but it’s difficult to make proper calculations how well an item will sell. The pandemic made things even harder. Like the PJ sets. Normally, they would wait until the sale ends and see how many sets were actually ordered, but during the pandemic, stock listings have been changing dramatically from day to day, so they had to pre-order the PJs and robes to make sure they had a certain number at their disposal. He said that they “overshot” on a couple of things, but ultimately sales have been great, and he appreciates that.

“I’m excited to make the MANESQUEEZE doodles kiss bc I do that with the NEVER LOOK AWAY shirt” Vlamis jumps up and shows his closet that’s full of Vlambase merch items.

“Why am I here, it’s almost 3am” He mentions that he’s been staying up until 4 in the past couple of days, but he has to be on set in 7 or 8 hours. 

“Hello, just wanted to let you know that I got a tattoo for you” Vlamis asks for a photo and to be tagged.

“Kyle the packer [Vlamis’s roomie KA, who works in the warehouse when a new drop is ready for shipping]” Vlamis says they’re working him to death.

“Please save this live” He doesn’t know whether he’ll save it. Thinks the one with Tyler was important, but since it’s just him, he doesn’t think it’s important.

“I followed Jesa, Jesa is the real MVP” Vlamis says that Jesa is “a beast, and best in the game”. Quickly explains who Jesa is, and that she’s his partner in the Vlambase merch company. He mentions that she recently called him with an idea for Valentine’s Day, and he was like “Jesa, we need to relax!” But she loved the idea. She’s a big fan of RNM and the characters (and Tyler). “Jesa’s amazing.”

“What about new Soli art [Soli’s the artist who created the Boys Will Be Boys art for a previous drop]?” Vlamis smiles. “What about new Soli art. I like that idea. 😏“

“Your house [in New Mexico] is so cute.” Vlamis says thank you and shows the ceiling of the house (which he likes best). “Santa Fe is dope!”

“I adore your teeth” *shows his teeth* Says he had to wear braces (some even adjustable)

“I could’ve used my birthday money to buy something but I forgot” 🤨 << Vlamis’s face. “How you you forget, man?”

“Back to Twitter after this live” He mentions that he’d just been on Twitter before the live.

He got retweeted by Mountain Dew and loves it.

“I’m from Australia and hope my merch arrives before winter” Vlamis says he hopes shipping will be fast. 

“Love the Valentines” They’re not actually Valentines, hence they’re “Love Notes”.  Vlamis considers doing them not just around Valentine’s Day. 

“You catch any of the CW shows returning this month?” “Might have to” But he knows what he’ll be catching on the 12th. “Prodigal Son, baby!”

“Where did you get the Game Boys?” Those are his Game Boys. He has a Game Boy Advanced and a Game Boy Color. 

“How do you feel about Forlex?” *scoffs* 😒 “Yeah” 

“So excited for the robe!” Vlamis gets excited. “The robes and the PJs are so comfy!” Talks about how it’s a bit weird, bc they don’t make them themselves.

Several people mention that their closet looks like his closet bc of all the merch and he loves that. 

“How do you feel about Forlex” *gets agitated* “Why are you asking me this? Don’t do that to me, alright?” *softer* “Don’t do that.”

“How are you doing?” He’s doing very well. Very relieved that eh sale went well. This drop was like 3-4 months of work, the night before the sale felt like an entire month, too. Jesa and Vlamis Facetimed for more than 5hrs. They set up the website, and that’s how the glitch with the GIVE ME MALEX OR GIVE ME DEATH shirts and poster happened. They made a mistake and only noticed after the website went live. 

“Do you know when S3 will air?” No, he thought it might’ve been sooner, but apparently not.

“I love your poetry from the last drop so why no poems this time?” He writes poems when he’s inspired, he hasn’t written a poem in a while. He’s currently preparing to direct his first movie in June 2021, and he’s been very focused on that. 

“The Meet & Greet day changed.”  Filming schedule changed bc they had snow, the schedule’s changing constantly. He’ll be set all day tomorrow (well, today, Jan 11) from 8am until 8 or 9pm. Sometimes they might even wake up in the morning and learn that the schedule’s been changed. 

 “You could talk about nothing and we’d still watch.” He doesn’t want to talk about nothing, wonders if anyone has any questions about the sale.

“I’m so excited about the robe. I was going to buy more but I’m broke.” He says we should be responsible.

Someone’s still waiting about their Black Friday stuff, but he says it’s the shipping company, not them. 

“Vlamentines" He *loves* that, thinks it’s a good pun. 

“Gotta support Aurora.” Always. 🥰

“Jealous Guerin in S3?” You’ll see, you’ll see.

“I placed 3 orders, last one last night. Give me Malex or give me death.” He loves it. He also mentions, that they’re working hard on figuring out how to combine orders in the future so people don’t have to pay for shipping several times. They just can’t do that logistically at the moment. 

“Real talk, how often do you check your DMs?” He says, that some people might’ve noticed that he occasionally likes random photos on people’s IG pages. When that happens, it’s a sign that he read someone’s DM. He feels bad when he checks his mentions with a delay, and people’s stories have already vanished after 24hours. He sometimes doesn’t get to checking DMs for a week.

“Will we ever get the original pic of the kiss recreation?” *smiles* *waggles his eyebrows* “Maybe in the morning”

“So happy the Trevor Project was chosen for this merch drop!” He’s very happy, too. According to him, it was a no-brainer. Tyler’s worked with them in the past, so it made even more sense. They wanted to make sure that Tyler felt very strongly about wherever they’d be donating. 

People urge him to go to sleep. “You want me to go to bed?” 

“Why is your merch not available in India?” *deep breath* “It should be, it’s ridiculous. Unbelievable.”

“Your poetry was awesome.” He appreciates the praise and promises to write some more poetry. 

Someone asks whether the movie he’ll be directing in June will be a comedy, but he says it’s the opposite. He’s mentioned in the past that Aurora and him will both act in the movie, but apparently he forgot about that. He doesn’t want to jinx the movie and doesn’t know how much he should reveal just yet. Talks a bit about 5 Years Apart. 

Someone mentions that it’s Jeanine’s birthday on January 14th. 

“Do (or don?) a face mask, Vlamis.” He refuses. Mentions his friend and roommate Spencer Waldner, who makes face masks.

“If there’s leftover merch, will you do another sale?” He says that most things are actually sold out bc they use Blank Clo’s blanks and will only make what’s been ordered.  They might try to restock some pins tho, bc they went so quickly. 

“USPS are a joke” He defends them. “They’re a public service, they’re trying hard, guys.”

“You should do a Vlambase drop with the Real Vlamis [a.k.a. Jeanie]” He’s excited and thinks it’s a good idea and asks if anyone’d be interested. 

Someone congratulates him on directing his first movie. He points out that he’s directed before (Making It, a 3-part web series, it’s on YouTube).

 “Would you ever come to Australia Comic Con?” He’d love to. Mentions that he’s supposed to be in Paris in May for a convention, but he’s not sure whether that’s gonna happen considering how things are currently going with the pandemic. 

Some more talk about 5 Years Apart.

Circles back to doing a merch drop with Jeanine. People like the idea. 

“Please save this live.” After an IG update, things have changed and he doesn’t know how to do it. In the past he had the option to save it [for 24hrs], now he can only upload it to IGTV. 

“$30 shipping to Australia hurts my soul but I did it anyway.” He appreciates that and mentions, that he lived in Australia for 6 months in the past.

“Sing some Bright Eyes” He thinks his singing would hurt people’s ears. 

Jesa Joy pops up in the chat and urges him to go to bed. 

“Jesa is yelling at you.” Vlamis says that Jesa’s a “yeller”, and that she has a tattoo that says “Don’t yell tho”. He admits that Jesa often yells for a good reason. “I need to be yelled at sometimes.”

Someone asks him to accept a request to join his live. He says he’s pretty tired. 

He says hello to someone from Germany (not me btw :P) “What’s up, Germany ✌️” 

More people ask him to sing, but he says he cannot sing. He says it’s not like a joke  or him being modest, he straight up can’t sing and is a horrible singer. 

“Will there be a sequel to 5 Years Apart?” Maybe a sequel called “10 Years Apart” (he’s joking and visibly tired)

“Should I buy anything before the sale ends?” Yes.

Jesa Joy’s from Michigan, and Vlamis’s grandma’s from Middlesborough, Kentucky.

“Is Tyler singing again?” He doesn’t know. “I hope so. Love that kid’s voice” (Tyler’s 3.5 years older than Vlamis :P)

He’s getting sleepy and will read a little bit before bed. Considers drinking some Mountain Dew. 

“Do you take design ideas.” Sure. Sometimes he sees design ideas from people they’ve been working on for months, but he’s gonna “steal” an idea from someone, he’ll tell them. He’ll steal it, though. 

“Are you still reading SAGA?” He read the first one and is half-way through the second. He’s currently reading a book called “My First Movie” by Stephen Lowenstein. “How cliché.” Aurora got it for him.

Purple Skittles are his favorite. Purple everything.

“Your girlfriend’s the best girlfriend.” She is, she really is.

Asks Jesa Joy whether he should go to bed now.Even though it’s late, he’s hungry. Considers eating something. People tell him to go to bed.

He asks “Should I get naked and put on the PJs?” *waggles eyebrows* “I’M KIDDING, YOU’RE SICK. YOU’RE ALL DISGUSTING.” xD

“Don’t eat!” He laughs.

Says goodbye and says that Jesa’s posted a surprise picture. 

“Any advice for aspiring actors?” Tells them to make their own stuff bc no one’s gonna hire them. (He’s being sarcastic). “It’s dark, but it’s what you need to hear.”

“Okay, love you guys. Thank you again! It was our best sale yet. Means a lot to me. Means a lot to Tyler. Us doing so well might mean that Tyler will work with us again. So I really appreciate it. Okay, I love you all.”

Jesa promises to post the pic in 4 minutes. He’s excited. “See, I got her to do it! The picture is kind of ridiculous.”

*pretends to take off his shirt, stops halfway through* “Noooooo, noooooo, noooooo!”

*throws kiss* “Love you guys, good night.”

Loki x Ailey hc! part 1

I was watching Thor Ragnarok with some friends (over zoom ofc) and then It popped up in my head a conversation that I had with @melyaliz and Alex (ig: shir.0_guru) a while back, and I couldn't shake it off my brain as I was trying to write some other thing. So hopefully writing this down would apace my mind.

TW: Arranged marriage, depictions of emotional/psychological abuse

Summary: Eris and Odin find a solution to what's been threatening their domains, an alliance between 2 of the most powerful families, but Ailey and Loki don't seem so keen about it.

Ailey has finally been reunited with most of her family and entered the realm of gods in this AU.

Samaras is the last name of the Eris family, they are rulers of Thera (Eris kingdom) and each member bears a royal title.

Ailey is the only demi-goddess in her family, Demigods are seen as shameful in this AU and usually they have a birthmark and a weakness that distinguishes them as such. In Ailey's case is her golden rose hair once she transforms in her god-form and her weakness is her allergy to gold, it practically burns her skin, debilitates her magic and herself, is like kryptonite for her.

The only reason they even know about the other, is because of their parents: Eris had been in conflict with Ares lately, and one of his recent attacks greatly debilitated her army and Odin had trouble with a few of the realms under his command forming complots against him and the safety of Asgard.

Both rulers found themselves in need of the other: Odin had the greatest warriors and military at his service, and Eris being the goddess of discord could easily rise or disipate any conflict that may come her way (except for Ares ofc), an easy way in or out of war.

And so, they decided to form an alliance; But Odin being the wise men he is, knew better than to trust blindly in the goddess of chaos, after all...Eris was known for being a backstabber who acted only to beneficiate her own interests.

To prevent that, Odin decided to make the alliance under the condition that one member of the Samaras family must marry the second son: Loki, God of mischief. And so, Eris agreed and offered her youngest daughter: Ailey goddess of ruin and folly.

God it was an absolute mess since the beginning!

Frigga was the one to inform Loki, who immediately went to Odin to protest, but like always his father ignored him, shutting him down by comparing him to his brother and how he would do anything to protect Asgard but Loki was being selfish.

Ailey in the other hand was kept ignorant of such decision and only knew about it a few hours before the engagement party began and only because a servant accidentally told her.

She was furious and much like Loki tried to protest but Eris couldn't care less about her daughter's opinion.

Ailey could rage all she wanted, Eris wasn't even paying attention, the only thing she was accomplishing was in making her angry.

—Child, I think you tend to forget your place in this world, you see: among humans you might be...special but in here... you're just an idiot with too much privilege—Eris had a way with words that could make them feel like poison, creeping in to the insecurities of one's heart.

—If it weren't for me and your brothers, you would be Hera's new toy, so please remember, dear. You not only owe me but to your brothers and this kingdom as well.

Ailey headed back to her room feeling ashamed and angry, she felt her mother's words had some truth in them, seeing as how different she was viewed here in comparison to the human realm.

When the time came for the engagement party and for Ailey and Loki to meet for the first time, is fair to say neither of them were in a good mood.

Even though deep inside they knew both of them didn't have any say in the matter and were pretty much in the same situation; they still felt irrationally mad at each other, that's why since the moment they met to the end of the ceremony they would throw little passive-aggressive remarks at each other.

She viewed him as a pretentious asshole, and He saw her as a spoiled brat.

Almost near the end of the celebration and no announcement had been made so Eris took it upon herself to throw them into the spotlight.

—I believe you two have something important to share with all of us—her face was smiling but her eyes were threatening.

Ailey bit the inner side of her cheek, rolled her eyes as she turned to face Loki who only gave an exasperated sigh before speaking in a monotone voice

—Do you want to marry me?—he didn't even bothered to get on one knee and just extended the ring for her to take.

Ailey felt tempted to say "no" and walk away gracefully but doing that would probably have a negative impact on Thera, so after a long pause she answered.

—Whatever—and put the ring on, herself.

Clearly a good start :) .

I think they didn't saw each other that much afterwards and when they did it was mostly for wedding arrangements in which they continued with the passive-aggressive comments but this time about everything the other would pick.

The mood was so uncomfortable every time they were together everyone around them was like:

I think that sometimes they would have moments where they realize they had been too harsh with the other and would tone it down a little but treating each other like that was the only way of protest that was allowed for them.

Specially for Loki since he constantly had to travel to Thera bc for some reason unknown to him Ailey refused to go to Asgard, which only made his negative opinion on her grow.

In his mind, it was probably because she thought she was too good for Asgard but the reality was: Asgard is practically a death sentence for Ailey since 90% of every building in there was made of gold.

But she will never tell him that.

I think their first "moment of closeness" came to be purely out of the realization neither of them had any option other than get married or see their domains destroyed.

So, they decided to call it a truce: both would play along with the whole marriage fiasco for a while until things died down and then they could divorce and pretend they never even met.

And so, the passive-aggressive comments slowly died down, not that they started acting like lovers all of a sudden, instead they acted like they were just... co-workers or something.

They would greet each other in a formal manner and then only talked about the arrangements and left, nothing else.

But then, inevitably they started to get closer.

It was something so gradual none of them really knew how it happened.

It started off with small comments about decoration ideas for the venue, it turns out they both had quite the interest in interior design.

Eventually those small comments became lengthy conversations about which combination of colors would look the best.

When it came down to learning about the nobility attending the wedding on each side, both would spend a little more time together. Studying the proper way on how to address them and their interests all for the possibility in forming new alliances.

But I feel like instead they would roast the hell out of them, like they would be going through a list of the Asgardian nobility that were to attend and Ailey would just point at a picture of a random Asgardian noble and go: "Oh. My. God. what is he even wearing?"

And Loki would try to force back a smile or a laugh but eventually he would just give in and start joining Ailey in the roasting.

They also have a very similar sense of humor, but Ailey is just more blunt and open about it while Loki isn't, I feel like most of the time he has genius comebacks to stupid comments people make but he's a gentleman and normally just keeps it to himself or would only say it in a polite but slightly aggressive manner, so when Ailey just bluntly says something similar to what he was thinking he can't help but laugh a bit (he won't admit to it though)

Other things Ailey and Loki have in common is their love for drama and spectacle, while Ailey is more of a ballet/dance-based plays person, she understands Loki’s enthusiasm for theater and books even sharing some of it herself.

Not only they enjoy these things, but they also found comfort in them: For Ailey ballet began as something her mother forced upon her but transformed in an outlet for her emotions and a way to connect and control her powers.

For Loki theater was a form of escapism since he was a child, every time he felt like he didn’t belong he found a safe place in countless stories of the misunderstood heroes.

This only makes their bond grow deeper; up until this point they never had anyone to talk to about their interests in such depth, so now they talk all the time about it, sometimes they would surprise themselves looking forward to the next meeting just to gush about a new play or book they just saw or read.

I feel like Loki might’ve even lend Ailey some copies of his favorite books and Ailey as a “thank you” decided to sneek out with him to the human realm to watch "Tristan und Isolde".

Everyone is able to notice the change in attitude of these two, especially Thor who only had heard about the girl but could tell how happy she made him every time Loki would mention her.

And he was happy for his brother but felt curious about his soon to be sister-in-law.

So, it was only natural when Thor asked Loki if he could tag along the next time he went to Thera.

He said no.

Thor went anyways.

When Ailey met him, she could only think about one thing: "he himbo" which she thought was cute btw.

Thor could see why Loki liked this girl so much, they were practically the same, which he found sweet yet amusing.

—Lady Ailey, a pleasure to meet you, mi brother has told me a lot about you!—he stated.

—Really?!—Ailey questioned directing an incredulous glance at Loki. 

—He asked­—Loki tried to defend himself by downplaying his brother statement. 

—No, I didn’t.—Thor retaliated with a mocking smile, he could tell his brother felt embarrassed so he decided to tease him a bit more. 

—In fact, he won’t shut up about you. 

—That’s not true, he’s just.. 

—No, he’s all the time saying Ailey this, Ailey that. It peaked my curiosity and so here I am… 

—Brother, Could you shut up?—Ailey could only smile and hold back a laugh at the brothers spontaneous quarrel. 

Truth is she thought it was sweet of Loki to talk about her with his brother. And teases him about it afterwards.

I think Thor might talk privately with Ailey and would ask her to take care of his brother. 

—I know Loki can be a bit…difficult, but have patience with him, I can tell he really likes you. 

And Thor was correct, Loki really did like her. But it might take a while for him to come to terms with his feelings, and would only manifest in small gestures towards Ailey, like: tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, subconsciously offering his arm for her to take as support when walking down the stairs, placing a hand on the small of her back as guidance whenever they were in a crowded space, sneaking small glances at her, etc.

Overall, he starts acting a lot softer with her, a lot more caring.

Ailey might be a bit oblivious to this (since she’s only used to overly sexual advances and has a difficult time understanding genuine affection), but she appreciates it none the less.

And both might even find themselves thinking that maybe…just maybe spending the rest of their lives together isn’t a bad idea after all.

Let's answer it!

1. So hi, my name is Leticia, but all my friends call me Let. I'm 22 and I'm from Brazil, specifically in the south, which is far away from Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo btw 😂

2. I study English. Some say Modern Language or something like that, but I don't really know how say it. It's English and Literature anyway.

3. Well I passed through a lot. In high school once I was just vibing to some music with some class mates when the professor enter in the class. He danced with me it was embarrassing and awesome at the same time. Also, once I was in a gig with my brothers and we started a mosh pit, I fell and everyone just stopped looking at me, even the band. AND I LOVED IT, it was sick! So not embarrassing things at all. Unless you count showing my whole body to a lot of people while giving birth and trying to push out my son out of me 😂

4. The best thing was having my son and being able to name him Deryck after Deryck Whibley from sum 41 of course. This last sunday, which was mother's day in my country, Deryck Whibley himself just liked my comment in his IG saying I named my son after him it was sick. I also got up in All Time Low stage, Alex Gaskarth chose me first then anyone to got up on stage to sing Time Bomb with the band, in 2015 they used to call like 8 or 9 people to the stage to sing Time Bomb. I was the first one Alex chose. Got to hug him and scream in his microphone I loved him, it was sick. The other thing was Benji following me on Instagram. He unfollowed me 2 days later, but at least I had his follow for 2 days.

5. I said here I met the band through a friend, but wasn't into them, just listened to Cocoon and it was all. Then Louis Tomlinson added Twice to his playlist in January 2020 and that was when I got into the band. After a while I just wanted to see them live and looked out for it on youtube, I fell in love for them live because I love live music. That's when I fell for them completely.

6. My favourite song is Twice and Tyrants. I passed through a lot of shits in my life who I didn't want to pass again and turned out I lived the same thing twice. I got a horrible life twice because I was young making stupid young choices. But then I decided I didn't deserved that. Twice it brung me down but it's the last time. And so the streetslights would carry us me home.

7. The ride is now my favourite because it has Twice and Outside. To me is musically the best. But there's The Balance which has the best instrumentals among the three and, for me, the songs are more different from the others, I find a special album and I am very attached to good instrumentals, so the balance and the ride have a fight for my heart.

8. It may sound silly, but the band represents happiness. Few things helped me in this quarantine, like scheduling to watch their show on Rave with my friends making them fall in love with them live, or even alone at 2am when my son were sleeping. They are musically complete and the fact that they have had so much work and are proud of everything they went through to get here, means a lot. They also mean hope. The guys worked for fucking seven years before getting anything. A mirror of what I wanted to live for. Besides they are musically my comfort. Music is my comfort and if they are my comfort in music it means that they are the comfort of my life. The way they seem in love with music and live only for that represents me, makes me realize that there is nothing wrong with loving music so much just sitting on a couch listening to songs during my day off, even though my family hates it. Van being so passionate about the music he listens and the ones he does and Bondy being so quick to show up to share his favourite songs and be such a good musician. I don't really know how to explain it, I'm a fraud.

9. Can't tag only one. I love to chat, I love sharing my life story and listening to people telling me theirs. I'm always looking out to be friends with everyone. Sometimes I feel like we already are. Some people in here knows me already, knows my son, knows a lil bit about my life, so I can't really tag only one.
