Manny Adz Interview (Part 1)
In part 1 of our interview with Manny Adz, the young entrepreneur introduced us to his early life growing up in South London, as well as his early motivations behind pursuing a business journey. Manny is one of the founding members of the radio debating show He Says She Says, which focuses on tackling a variety of topics, both from a male and female perspective. Manny spoke about his passion for having thought-provoking discussions among his friends, and how this inspired him to create a platform for others to also get involved. Manny explained – “There would be a few of us at the table at work and we would debate religion, relationships and other topics" He Says She Says is not only a radio show though. The brand has also delivered YouTube series which allow the viewers to see the faces and personalities behind the voices. Check out part 1 of Manny's interview above! Read the full article

@mrjayvic UNVEILS NEW SINGLE ‘6:30!!!! Taken from his forthcoming EP Black Diamonds, which is currently being recorded with JOAT Music Group (J Hus, Major Lazer, NSG), and set for release this summer, ‘6:30’ is the brand new single from fast-rising UK rap and Afroswing artist Mr Jayvic, produced by Malvonthetrack, who produced Not3s hit track ‘Addison Lee’, and has also worked with T Mulla and Kilo Keemzo. Popularly known for underground hit tracks such as ‘RunTingz’, ‘Say Nuttin’, ‘My Rider’, and ‘Gyal Ah Whine’, Mr Jayvic comes on the back of recent support from Link Up TV, Reprezent Radio, The Beat London, Pulse88 Radio and Mixtape Madness, among others, and has also supported the likes of Not3s, Burna Boy, and C Biz, to mention a few. Speaking about the inspiration for ‘6:30’, Mr. Jayvic says, “the record was inspired by the Jamaican dance 630, but I also took inspiration from my kids, who are half Jamaican and half Nigerian – the track finds its roots within both Jamaican and African culture, as a result. With ‘6:30’, I tried to fuse the Jamaican dance, with my trademark UK rap, and sounds from Africa”. . . . . . . . . #afrobeats #gossip #news #entertainmentnews #afropop #afrornb #afrodancehall #newmusic #music #presenter #music #comment #like #post #share #follow #mrjayvic #africa #jamaica #afrobeatbuzz

Album Review: ‘With Or Without’ EP - J.A.E.
J.A.E.’s going through a phase… quite a few, in fact.
Originally writing poetry under the alias Jae Poet, her love of sound proved all strong, weaving gorgeous 90s-inspired RnB rhymes that have so far earned praise from the likes of Pulse88 FM, Clash, Reprezent Radio, Complex and BBC 1Xtra.
It’ll no doubt continue with the release of her first EP, With Or Without, examining a relationship through different stages with the kind of deft musicality and sharp lyricism that belies her years.
Opener ‘Take Me To’ begins the honeymoon phase with a slow-spun groove reminiscent of Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu, the London singer willing to ‘give you all of me,’ though rather reluctantly when her lover’s misbehaviour is too hard to ignore. ‘On The Road’ then leads us down a jazzy, synth-streaked path lined with dreamy chimes, J.A.E torn between lust and independence.
The pulsing 90s funk of ‘Sprung,’ of course, signals trouble ahead despite the heady feel of butterflies. The lounge pop cool of ‘Girlfriend,’ however, adds a dash of funk in the aftermath of heartache, a truly empowering phase for J.A.E. as she finally gets her shit together and kicks that scrub to the curb. ‘Poison’ (feat. rapper Dotty) also proves deliciously caustic, a solid genre-flipped tribute to Bel Biv Devoe’s own ‘Poison,’ while hard lessons are learned on the slick neo-soul of ‘Steal.’
On her sleek, self-assured debut, J.A.E. proves herself a more-than worthy contender for chart glory, where modern romance meets an old-school groove. True poetry, but its very nature, is vulnerable yet fearless, and With Or Without is more than willing to lay itself bare.
- Bianca B.

#YemziGirl Feature 39 (May) - Naomi Richardson aka Naysap - Fashion Stylist, Film Photographer & Founder/CEO of GRL GNG
Describe what you do, where you are from and your age
Fashion Stylist, Film Photographer & Founder/CEO of GRL GNG 27, West London
Where does the name Naysap come from ? A nickname given to me a long time ago - then when I first made an instagram account I just used it as my name now everyone calls me Naysap lol
Was Pulse88 radio presenting days key for connecting with the clients you style today? Hmmm yes because the first video I styled was one of our first guests we had on our show and no because I get quite a lot of my clients from word of mouth as well as social media.
You've styled award-winning young black British music stars such as Lil Simz, RayBlk and MsBanks, who's next to be blessed with your vision? Atm I’m working on a show on KYRA tv doing some styling but I’m hoping to style ASAP Rocky one day or Rihanna so let’s see where the wind takes me. On Queen radio Nicki Minaj said she rated your styling for ‘Talk to mi nice’ by Lisa Mercedez, how does it feel to get industry recognition and has it increased your bookings or cost to hire your services? My name wasn’t mentioned but still it was nice to hear that she rated my styling but the thing is as as stylist you never really get the recognition you deserve, it’s a hard one. My price went up way from the beginning of the year tbh I really realised my worth and put my foot down & I’ve been doing some amazing stuff, I got to work with Sean Paul this year, so that is like one of my highlights this year. This year you've collaborated with Uber and Adidas, tell us about it… I collaborated with Uber on a project for international women’s day where I started a conversation about the low number on blue plaques dedicated to women around London & I gave them three women that in my book deserve a bigger platform. It was a really good experience, I enjoyed every minute of it and the video was literally everywhere lol.
I also hosted two t-shirt customisation workshops with Adidas which was fantastic I’ll defo be doing some more workshops from now on I really really enjoyed them.
GRLGANG is a really dope platform for talented female musicians to perform live. I reached one, maybe two events since 2016 and it's one I also hope to attend again. What's your vision for the event and how do you keep it fresh as well as functioning almost 3 years later? GRL GNG is my baby it’s a reflection of me and my style so it’s always going to be fresh and fun. I plan to do so much with GRL GNG I’m going to travel to world and do events etc there’s so much I have under my sleeve which will be revealed soon.
I imagine your events and styling jobs would be a great chance to take images and video content. Do you still have time for that or is it something you've now left behind in order to focus?
Yeah I do all the photography for GRL GNG and when I’m on shoots I always take photos I don’t do filming anymore it’s just long and I hate editing videos lol but photography is the one. When you was at college you planned to become a lawyer, I'm predicting it's going to become very trendy to be on the courtroom podium now that Kim K is sitting her bar exams. Give us an idea as to how you'd style yourself for your first day in court as a certified lawyer Looool how did you know??? I wanted to be a barrister or a forensic scientist!! *rolls eyes at Kim K*
Ummmmm I’d probably wear a champagne coloured or even a mint green satin pant suit with some pointed shiny stilettos to match the suit. And of course gold jewellery.
From studying Multimedia Journalism at Southampton Solent to where you are today, what has been your most memorable career moment so far? Probably taking the step to become freelance and work for myself I’ve been working so hard these past few years and it’s starting to pay off - believe me it was a struggle in the beginning but it’s getting way better.
O we certainly believe i! You can take images, make videos, style, host radio shows, run music events, cook #naysapskitchen, what's next to master?
I wouldn’t mind giving DJ’ing a go you know I would be a house/techno DJ with a splash of bashment.
And finally what is your favourite quote?
You don’t ask you don’t get
That’s one my parents would tell me! Make sure you follow Naomi on IG to keep up to date with her movements @naysap_

Radio support from 1Xtra’s Twin B and DJ Ace, Mike Pantelli (Capital Xtra), The Beat London, Rinse FM, New Style Radio, Colourful Radio, Gaydio, NE1 FM, Pulse88 and Unity Radio!
London soul singer Melisa Whiskey dropped her first track ‘Played’ in January this year and quickly picked up a BBC Introducing Track of the Week spot as well as heat from BBC R1Xtra’s Twin B. The natural soul and depth of Melisa’s vocal was too strong to deny.
Now Melisa comes through with her follow up track ‘Sweetest Cake’ and once again sets a notable bar for emerging UK soul and R&B. The first track to be taken from her forthcoming debut E.P. ‘Moon & The Sky’, the natural jump to the track mixed with the menacing bassline reminds of both Amerie and most excitingly, the playful invention of Anderson. Paak.
Melisa’s influences range from the likes of Lauryn Hill to Sade to Amy Winehouse – but maintains an innate natural charisma and charm all her own. Produced by Osinachi Nwaneri (Wale, J. Cole, Tinashe), Melisa brings an unmistakably exciting and vibrant 2nd offering to cement her status as a bonafide emerging star.
Speaking on the track, Melisa states: "’Sweetest Cake’ is all about feeling good about yourself, reminding yourself of how fly you are regardless of what anything or anyone may want you to feel."
