I had yet another long, strenuous day yesterday and didn't finish work until super late and then I couldn't fall asleep until well past 2am cuz I was in so much pain from standing literally all day
#what made it worse was the client I spent most of my day with was a brand new client. and she booked super last minute#so I wasnt mentally prepared for doing a 5 hour color. and her natural hair was already pretty light so I had to foil foil foil. go back.#pull out first couple foils. foil foil foil. go back. pull out the next few.#over and over and over.#and her hair was so fucking long. and so fucking thick.#and after the first hour she wouldn't talk. like I like my silence so I don't fight it much#but every now and then I would try to engage with her. I'd say something and she would straight up ignore me. no acknowledgment.#which makes me feel anxious cuz it's like jesus... does she hate me?? did I piss her off somehow?#even when I finished her hair (it looked fucking amazing no lie. one of my best highlights yet.) she had next to no reaction to it#she was like 'it looks fine. I mean good. it's good.' completely deadpan#I laughed it off and was like yeah it's been a long day girl! but it looks amazinggg on you!!#no response. deep inhale. alright.#whatever tho.#when I did finally get off work I stopped @ bojangles cuz I was lightheaded and hadn't eaten since morning#and when I tell you I almost broke down into tears cuz there were so many people crowding the goddamn pickup area.#and so many bizarre conversations going on. genuinely felt like I was in some form of hell#like my feet hurt. my back hurts. I'm tired. I didn't get the validation I like to have over a 5 hour transformative color.#I'm hungry and there are two elderly women blocking the pickup counter. one is hard of hearing so she keeps yelling HUH???#and the other only speaks in soft baby whispers. that goes as well as you can imagine.#there's a man behind me grilling an employee abt whether or not he goes to church. he starts witnessing to him#and the employee says 'I've never thought about it like that before' no less than 4 times.#there's a child in front of me playing tiktoks @ full volume. and this is all happening simultaneously.#I really considered just leaving without my food but I knew I needed to eat and didnt have anything at home so I stuck it out#was it worth it? no. bojangles honestly sucks these days but what's a girl gonna do.#got home and tried to pass out but nope. tossed and turned all night.#put on hot n cold patches to try to soothe the pain a little. didn't work cuz one pain would be eased a bit and another pain would take over#blahhhhhh#and now. I get to do it all over again! yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Cocoa Butter
Tumblr media
bodyguard! logan howlett x boss’ daughter reader
summary: He’s the best there is at what he does but what he does isn’t always very nice.
content warning: mutual pining, scenting, scent kink, age gap, size difference smut, p in v, slight innocence kink towards the end??, violent behavior (logan beats a guy up for you and it kinda turns you on), MINORS DNI
a/n: This was definitely inspired by that one gif of him from DOFP
Logan swore he wouldn't fall to his knees for a pretty little young thing like you. With your big doe eyes, soft curves and that cute little ass o’ yours that you always had wrapped up in those tiny little short shorts. He couldn’t, you were the boss’ daughter after all, but when you swayed your hips and batted your lashes at him like that… god was it tempting. You were just so inviting and deliciously sweet.
Like heaven wrapped in gold foil and lip gloss. Your dad’s guys used to joke to him about you, that is until he beat the shit outta one of them.
Now most of them don’t even make eye contact with you.
Good, he preferred it that way anyways.
His heart beat rapidly in his chest, the possessive streak he felt for you flaring up as he watched you converse with the guy at the bar that had been buying you drinks all night. The guy no doubt had no idea who you were, or who he was for that matter.
Five drinks in and he was practically itching for a fight, hoping that the motherfucker you were laughing with like he was the funniest bastard in the world would slip up and do something so he could take him out back and show him what happens when you mess with what’s his.
His.
You weren’t anyone’s you liked to remind him.
He knew you could handle yourself, you were more than capable of holding your own and you’ve told him plenty of times that he hovers too much, so why was he getting all antsy over this guy?
Logan swore he wasn’t a jealous person, never had a reason to be, until he met you, but watching everyone watching you for the past few hours while you smiled and laughed and danced like you didn’t give a shit about anything, had him ready to kill the next guy who breathed at you wrong.
Maybe it was the few drinks he had but he could have sworn he saw you look over at him a couple of times too.
Like you were doing this on purpose.
What he didn’t know was that he was the reason you were so confident and carefree. His presence alone was your peace. He was your scary dog privilege. It was nice to know that someone had you.
One of your dad’s men annoying you? He’ll handle it.
Some guy at the bar can’t take the hint? Don't worry your pretty little head about it, Logan’s got it.
He was your dad’s most trusted guy and he was the best there is at what he did and what he did? Well it wasn’t always very nice.
Ignoring the growing urge to go over there and drag you away, Logan throws back the rest of his drink, whiskey on the rocks, and flags the waitress in the black cocktail dress down for another.
Taking a drag from his cigar, the ones he’s pretty sure he’s not supposed to have in the club but who the fuck was brave enough to tell him he couldn’t have it, he tears his eyes away from scanning the room when he hears you.
Your voice is soft as you politely reject the guy, so soft you almost couldn’t hear it over the shitty music and the buzz of people in the crowd around him, if it wasn’t for his mutation.
Apparently this greasy ass clown can’t take the hint as his hand clamps down harshly around your wrist pulling you closer to him as you try to pull away.
He’s on his feet before he can register what he’s doing.
He tries to tell himself you’re totally capable of holding your own, you can snatch your arm away and tell the guy off yourself but when he sees the shit stain lean in to kiss you and raise a hand as if to strike you when you turn away, Logan is seeing red.
In the blink of an eye he’s already across the room dragging the guy off his stool and out the back. His fist meets his mouth first, teeth cutting the skin of his knuckles but he doesn’t care. Bone crunches on bone as Logan continues to beat the guy into an unrecognizable barely conscious mess.
He doesn’t stop until he feels your delicate hand brush up against his back, and he turns to look at you.
You stand behind him as he turns until you’re damn near chest to chest, pupils blown wide as your eyes bore up into him from below his chin. Even in your highest heels you still don’t quite reach him. The guy groans in pain from the ground beneath your feet but neither of you care, far too wrapped up in each other to even notice he’s still there bleeding out.
"Can't make my job easy, can ya kid?" He smirks down at you wiping at his nose with a bloody hand.
He goes to say something else but it catches in his throat when he catches a whiff of something in the air.
God he could smell you.
“You doin ok darlin’?” He asks, voice sultry as he leaned closer to you inhaling.
This is dangerous territory, he knows it and so do you but neither of you can bring yourselves to care in the moment. It’s one you’ve both been skating around for months now.
“Y-yeah I just-“ you start biting your lip as you lose yourself in thought for a second.
“You ready to take me home big guy?” You ask, still biting that god damn lip between your teeth as you look up at him through your lashes like you always did when you wanted something from him.
“Always.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you get to your apartment he’s already on you, not even giving you a chance to get through the door fully. His mouth carving a path from your neck to your mouth as he walks you backwards towards your room, pushing you down to the bed beneath you as he wraps himself around you.
He clings to you, hands grabbing your hips as he grinds himself into you, nuzzling his nose into your neck, taking in deep greedy draws of your scent. Shea and cocoa butter mixed with the tantalizing aroma of you. Always that goddamn cocoa butter. He could cover himself in your scent if he could and it still wouldn’t be enough for him.
You're a whiny squirming mess as he kisses up and down your neck, one of his hands squeezes at your tits. He’s barely touched you and could already smell how wet you were, just for him.
Pulling away Logan looks down at you, eyes half lidded as he strokes a calloused thumb over your soft swollen bottom lip.
You had dick sucking lips, one of the guys had told him his first week here. He shattered his bones with just his fists, now the guy walks with a limp.
He didn’t want the think about that now, not when your hands we’re tangling themselves in his shirt. With a latch he pulls his shirt over his head as he watches you fumble with his belt biting your lip. He leans down to take it in his mouth once more before he’s shedding himself of his pants and underwear pulling yours off with them.
He wraps a heavy arm around your back bringing you to his chest as he puts you on his lap, the hem of your pretty little dress hiked up over your ass, as he nestles his big cock deep inside you. He sinks his teeth into your neck and the flesh of the slopes of your chest as the straps slip further down your shoulder with every thrust of his hips.
“Logan...” Your voice came out as a whimper as he trails his hand down to grip your ass.
“You doing alright sweetheart?” Logan asks between thrusts. He knew it was too much for you, but it was what you asked for, and who was he to deny you anything you asked for.
Reaching behind you he unzips your dress before he’s yanking it over your head, your bra soon joining in the growing pile of both your clothes on the floor. Never missing a beat as he kept plunging into you.
He’s so fucking big, and he knows it too as smirks into your mouth. He’s moving like a younger man. Not that you really even wanted anyone your age. Guys your age didn’t know what to do with a gal like you.
“Easy princess, eyes on me.” He said as your eyes start to close as you lose focus, he knew you were close by the way your gimpy walls kept fluttering around him. Grabbing your face with one hand he forces you to look him dead in his hazel eyes as he keeps up his pace. He pulls you into a searing kiss as he releases your face with a dark chuckle before grabbing both your hands in one of his.
“Keep ‘em here for me.” He says placing your hands over his shoulders as he lays you back on the bed as he locks in, the bed’s frame creaking beneath you at the strength of his thrusts, the headboard hitting the wall behind you with equal force.
Your neighbors were definitely gonna have something to complain about in the morning.
A chill runs down your spine when you feel him exhale a strangled breath into your neck, as he reaches down to rub fierce circles into your clit. He was getting close too.
Glancing down, a smile settles on his lips at the sight of your dripping cunt gripping him in its tight wet hold before he pulls away and settles back in again. He could watch himself disappear in and out of you all night if he could. He teases you as he continues his assault, calling you all types of sweet nothings as he watches your face contorts in pleasure as you clumsily try to keep up with him.
Your moans become muffled as you press yourself against him. That tight coil in your stomach tightening ever so slightly threatening to explode. Goosebumps prickling your skin as you shook violently against him as you finally let go dragging him along with you with a harsh grunt, nails digging into him desperately, most likely drawing blood.
“I know, baby. I gotcha.” He coos rubbing at your sides as you cry out, eyes glazed over with fresh tears. He pauses his movements for a moment to give you a minute but literally only for a minute before he’s back on you kissing and sucking down your neck before he pulls away.
“Hey look at me, kid.” He huffs as he leans down to kiss you. “We’re not done yet.”
“B-but you already-!” You start but are cut off by a moan that’s bubbled up into your throat as you feel him, still hard, as he starts back up again.
“We’re done when I say we’re done.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Logan’s ripped from his sleep by the sound of your front door opening and closing. Before he even has a chance to attempt to get up, your bedroom door opens suddenly, hitting the wall behind it with a soft thud.
“What the fuck!” Said one of your dad’s men as he stared at the two of you in shock. Another one came flying into the room behind him, gun drawn, until he catches sight of you, he looks back and forth between the two of you before he casts his eyes to the ground, going to pull the other guy out of the room with a visible limp.
“You wanna keep your mouth shut?” Logan hisses voice still laced with sleep as he pulls the sheets further up to cover your back. Thank fuck you were a hard sleeper when you were really tired.
“I-I’m sorry man it just-“ the first man starts to stammer as he asks unceremoniously “Did you really have sex with her?!” Smacking a hand over his own mouth just as shocked, but definitely not as pissed as Logan, was that he had said that, he stumbled to follow his companion out the room.
It’s here at your little table in the middle of your kitchen, that Logan finds the two goons. They both jump to their feet at the sight of him, one albeit faster than the other.
“What the fuck are you two clowns even doing here?” Logan said gently, closing the door behind him. His pants resting haphazardly on his hips.
“She never checked in last night after leaving the club like she usually does,” the other guy says, turning away as Logan went to zip up his pants. Of course, how could he forget how much of a good girl you were. “Boss was worried, gave us a key and everything.”
“Yeah sorry man! If we woulda known-“ the other chimed in, his voice was starting to grate on his nerves.
“Did you really sleep with her, Logan?” The other guy cuts him off. He’s staring Logan dead in his eyes to answer him so he could run off and tell the boss, like he actually had anything on him. He was challenging him and he’d be damned if he let him get away with it.
“I did yeah, the fuck are you gonna do about it?”

thinking about white and gold and their first holiday together... they have at least a fortnight (knowing matty) all to themselves, freedom to do anything they want... what's the vibe
ooh yes this is good mads i love your mind !!! this happening relatively early into your relationship because we know how fast these two move lmfao maybe that couple of weeks after new year’s where it’s kind of just bitter and miserable outside. you’re in matty’s lap in the living room, sighing wistfully at the pool outside. what’s the matter, darling?
s’just a bit shit outside, you mutter. i miss the summer. matty’s typing away at his laptop out of your view, his free hand rubbing soothing circles into your thigh. you got anything important planned in the next few weeks? you shrug, don’t think so.
good, matty beams, turning his laptop screen to you happily, a confirmation email displayed on the screen. two weeks in the mediterranean enough to cheer you up? and of course, you roll on top of him, thanking and kissing him excitedly. pack light, okay? wanna spoil you while we’re there. immediately, you proceed to show him just how grateful you are (and maybe join the mile high club on the way there teehee)
the cottage matty’s booked for the two of you in rural southern italy is absolutely gorgeous, light and airy, all white stone walls and tiled floor. you change out of your airport clothes into something more fitting; a tiny, white sundress and nothing else but a pair of alexander mcqueen sunglasses. draping yourself in matty’s lap, you all but moan at the sight of him in just a pair of loose linen trousers.
mmm, what are you feeling like getting up to today? matty asks, cupping your jaw and kissing you softly. oh, a nice walk on the beach, a candlelit dinner, getting fucked dumb by my daddy, maybe a little swim? you tease, savouring matty’s sharp intake of breath. in no particular order.
needy girl, christ, matty mutters, shifting his hips under you. grabbing his hand, you slide his fingers up your thigh to your naked core. made it easy for you, daddy, you grin. he pulls the straps of your dress down, kisses, licks, sucks at your tits and slowly frees his cock, lets you bounce on it just how he likes. that’s it, sweet girl. make daddy feel good, yeah? your eyes are rolling back in your head in pleasure, matty’s fingers digging into your hips as he circles your clit. you come with a wail, matty following a second later.
sweaty and panting, you laugh into matty’s neck. think we need a shower, now. obviously, you fuck in the shower, then matty eats his cum out of you, then you suck him off as thanks. so, all in all, you only really have time for dinner before it gets too dark. it’s lovely, perfect really, matty gazing at you adoringly over the rim of his wine glass (despite your scolding him for ordering red wine and fish.) your italian is… passable, and you apologise profusely for his faux pas.
you go for a moonlit walk along the beach, his hand warm in yours and the sand soft under your feet. you stop for a little kiss by the water, trading murmured i love you’s before wandering back to your cottage… where matty eats you until you literally cannot take it any longer and absolutely soak his face.
the next day, you’re intending on getting an early-morning swim in before you start your day - there’s a practically private beach next to where you’re staying, so you might as well take advantage. matty foils your plans by being so fucking turned on at the sight of you in a red bikini that’s more string than anything that he begs for you. so you have a fun little morning with him at your mercy instead <3
then, you go for a wine tasting, heading home a little tipsy and laden with every bottle you’d even nodded at. you finally get to go for a swim, teasingly splashing matty when he joins you for a bit. not fair, you’re tanned already, you pout. you look so fucking sexy, you add, and he grins wickedly. that grin is fatal, and you end up blowing him in broad daylight on the beach teehee
so yeah it’s a lovely, slutty, sun-filled holiday that you wish would never end <3

Noctis Lucis Caelum x Reader (selship)
Selfship made for xivia___ on Wattpad.
You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here. Consider supporting me on Ko-fi. You can also check out my commissions if you’re interested. Other selfships can be found here.
Tumblr media
↠ Noctis met you when he started going to school like most people his age. You weren't very talkative. Neither was he. Maybe that's why he liked you. Unlike his peers, you didn't take the initiative to get to know him. You just existed somewhere, minding your own business.
↠ The prince was fed up with everything that surrounds him at times. At times like this, he was holed up on the roof. One time he found you there sleeping. He got confused and tried to pull back but that's when you woke up. You got shy. You gathered your things as fast as you could and got out of there. What you didn't know was that you forgot your game. Freshly bought, still in foil.
Noctis wondered if it wouldn't be better to just leave the box where it was but eventually the urge to talk about the game won out. He had just bought it and had a lot of thoughts about the plot and gameplay strategy. So the next day he found you in the hallway and gave you back. You two had a nice conversation so he walked you to your classroom at the other end of the building. That's how your friendship started.
↠ The boy heartily hated vegetables, so he kind of understood the problems with nutrition. He was a bit of a hypocrite in that regard, however, as he would remind you from time to time to eat right, even if he couldn't do it himself.
↠ You often had gaming sessions with Noctis and later Prompto as well. Mostly online but sometimes also on the couch in my apartment. Ignis was preparing only good delicacies then. Scientia scolded the boy if he misbehaved and these visits were one of the few times he really listened and obeyed him.
↠ As a friend of the prince, you managed to visit the palace. Your first visit was quite a disaster. First you broke an ancient vase, then you got lost between the long corridors and finally you ran into King Regis. You cried out of frustration. The prince found you laughing through tears in front of his father. A man tried to make you laugh by telling a childhood story about his son and it worked out quite well.
Noctis also took you to his training that day. Partly because he had to and partly to show off to you. His pride when you completely blew Gladion off and congratulated him was immense.
↠ Neither of you have confessed your feelings to the other in a typical way. Just one time, walking around the city at sunset, you held hands. And a few days later, the moment in the park was so magical that you had your first kiss. Being a couple came out without any formalities or announcements.
↠ Your dates weren't much different from what you used to do together. Gaming, shopping and trips to the city. The difference was that you went out without the boys, who sensed quite quickly that something was up.
You hid your relationship from your three friends for quite a long time. Your relationship back then was full of little touches of the hand, quick stolen kisses and unexpected truancy in the middle of the day.
↠ The prince got used to the fact that you were always sleepy. He didn't mind letting his arm be your pillow.
↠ It was you who came up with the idea to employ you in part-time work. That's how you ended up working in a sushi restaurant for a while. Since then, you can't look at such food anymore. But you had to admit that the boy was extremely caring. When he saw you weren't up to the task, he would send you on break and take over your tasks.
↠ Noctis tended to keep his feelings deep inside. If you wanted to get to know them in depth, you had to make a lot of effort. You also often told him how proud you were of him because trying to grow up to the role of a king gave him sleepless nights.
He, on the other hand, supported you more often with deeds than with words. For example, by coming to various school competitions or dealing with some issues that cause you problems. Including people who accused you of being with him for fame or profit. He had his ways with such people.
↠ Your relationship lasted quite a long time but the closer it got to marrying Lunafreya, the more Noctis considered breaking up with you. Duty won out and not wanting to hurt you later, he parted ways with you long before he left Insomnia. Still, he kept coming back to you. He has you especially on his mind now that news has reached him of the attack on the capital...

A Maine food truck owner said he shot and injured a man in self-defense after the man wielded a knife at motorists and threatened to kill people ahead of a holiday parade in the New England town.
"You always anticipate dealing with danger in a certain way, but you never know how you will react or how it would play out until you actually live it. It all happened so fast but in slow motion at the same time," Addy's food truck owner David Poto told Fox News Digital of the incident that unfolded on Dec. 1.
Poto and his family were setting up their food truck business in Sanford in the late afternoon on Dec. 1, ahead of the town’s Christmas tree lighting event and "Holly Daze" parade, when Poto spotted the man.
Poto said he witnessed the unidentified man wielding a knife at motorists and threatening to kill them. He initially confronted the man without showing him he was holding a concealed firearm behind his leg, Poto told the Portsmouth Herald.
FEMALE GUN OWNERSHIP EXPLODES AS WOMEN VOW TO BE 'THEIR OWN FIRST RESPONDERS'
Poto told local media that he got the man's attention while he stood near traffic, leading the man to allegedly respond: "I’m going to kill you" and "I’m going to stab you."
Poto explained his wife was standing near their food truck, as the couple’s four young daughters watched a Christmas movie inside the vehicle.
"I didn’t want to escalate anything," Poto said. "But I knew the danger was coming toward us. Worst-case scenario, I was prepared."
PHILADELPHIA CONCEALED GUN HOLDER ACTED IN SELF-DEFENSE, FATALLY SHOOTING ATTACKER AT CEMETERY: DA
The food truck owner said he tried to calm the man and get him to sit down, but that the suspect continued walking toward Poto, even when the business owner pulled out his firearm.
"He didn’t care," Poto said of the man’s reaction when he pulled out his Glock, according to the Portsmouth Herald.
Poto said that out of fear for his family’s safety and his own, he fired his gun and struck the man in the leg.
"I was trying to avoid his arteries," Poto said. "I didn’t want to kill him."
The man reportedly fell to the ground in pain and started shouting the word "rape" and accusing Poto of "shooting a woman."
Police said in a press release that they received a report of a man who was shot around 3:52 p.m. Friday. Witnesses told investigators they saw a man standing in traffic and yelling at cars while holding a knife before he was shot by Poto.
"This male approached a food truck that was parked in the parking lot of T-Mobile," police stated in the press release. "There was a confrontation with the owner of the truck and the male with the knife. The male with the knife was shot."
The parade kicked off shortly after, at 5:30 p.m., with the tree lighting following the festive parade.
Poto said he now has trouble sleeping, and that his daughters are "completely shook up."
"I hate the fact that somebody had to get hurt," he told the Portsmouth Herald. "I hate the fact that he put me in that position in the first place. I didn’t want any part of it."
FOILED: FIVE TIMES ARMED CITIZENS FOUGHT BACK AGAINST ATTACKERS IN 2022
"Those first few days were like a constant adrenaline rush, between the incident itself, talking to the police, wondering what happens next for our business, coping with the trauma, and the social media chatter," Poto told Fox News Digital.
"[Poto and his wife] looked at each other on Thursday, one of our most profitable weekdays, and we just couldn't bring ourselves to open. I think the weight of it all just sort of hit us," he added.
Locals organized a rally in support of the Poto family and their food truck – their main source of income – this past Friday.
"We know that they suffered a traumatic event and also lost a very busy night right at the holiday season," fellow local business owner Jason Cole, who organized the event, said, according to the Portsmouth Herald. "We are honored to help them out... to show them that the community supports them and will help them recover."
The suspect was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.
Police are still investigating the matter.
"The community support just takes our breath away. I think everyone around us knew what we needed before we did, which we will be eternally grateful for," Poto said of the support he and his family received from the community.

Edwina Sharma back in India
So since it's confirmed that Edwina and her mom did go back to India in Bridgerton S3, here are several of my HCs of what happened after that
. After returning to Bombay , Lady Sharma pulled some strings for Edwina to become a new lady in waiting of Empress Lai Bal, the 3rd chief Consort of Emperor Akbar II of the Mughals
. Edwina was thus sent to Agra to live with her relatives there, all the while getting herself accustomed to the luxurious Mughal Imperial Court
. She also came to meet Akbar II's numerous wives and many children. One of them was Khorshed V, one of the Princes of the Mughals
. Throughout her time in Agra, she takes cues on how to navigate the unpredictable waters of the Mughal Imperial Court, made powerful allies in Agra, and also connecting with her relatives.
. She became gradually closer with Khorshed V, who is a foil and parallel to Anthony Bridgerton. He is a handsome Prince with caramel skin, big caramel brown eyes, thick eyebrows closely knitted together, curly dark reddish brown hair, and a buff physique. He is brave and valiant, yet somewhat arrogant and somewhat spoiled ( especially at first )
. Edwina gave the Prince a window to what a simpler life is like
. The two came to bond over a shared love of poetry and diplomacy, and began courting.
. The House Sharma is one of the Hindu clans in the Mughal Empire, so the eventual marriage of Edwina and Khorshed V is one of the several Hindu - Islamic marriages in the Mughal Empire
. They got engaged in a lavish engagement dinner in that spring ( aka the same year Colin and Penelope got married ), with their relatives in tow at witness.
. The Mughal Royals didn't know much about the heartbreak drama in London then. Edwina's inner circle in India knew, they kept it hush hush about it in the wider public, because in Ancient India, a failed engagement/wedding/marriage can literally risk civil wars between clans.
. Sometime after they got engaged, Khorshed V one evening visited Edwina in her engagement boudoir and asks her about the gossips he heard of Edwina in London. He never blamed her for what happened in London- He just wanted to know the truth
. And Edwina just broke down in sobs and told Khorshed V EVERYTHING. And they tried their damn best to comfort each other and reassure their love for each other
. Next day after thar, Khorshed V's Mughal relatives in tow have a literal argument of that London disaster, and Khorshed V stands up to his relatives that he will marry her and that what happened to her in Londo isn't her fault in the first place.
. Both decided on a monogamous marriage btw
. A few weeks after Colin and Penelope's wedding, the Bridgertons in tow are all invited to attend the Royal wedding of Edwina Sharma and Khorshed V.
. The trip to India is such an eye opening experience to the Bridgertons. They came to find out more of the cultural differences between India and England, got themselves accustomed to sitting on cushioned floors, and also visited Kate's lovely childhood mansion in Bombay before going to Agra.
. Well, Khorshed V and his Mughal relatives didn't trust Anthony at first ( cuz of the whole drama in Bridgerton Season 2 ). But with some help from the Sharma sisters, Khorshed V and Anthony came to vibe with each other as friends/allies, and the Mughal Royals in tow came to trust Anthony more
. At that point, Edwina also has access to the Mughal Imperial harem, and she moved into Khorshed V's lavish private apartment
. The wedding day is a grand occasion. Thousands flocked to get a glimpse at the new Princess of the Mughals, and the happy Royal couple got married in lavish wedding Mughal attires of red and gold. And everyone had a blast at the wedding day
. Going from debutante to Princess has got Edwina to grow so much as a person. She went from a more naive debutante to a wiser regal Princess who is respected by many

A Trade | Pt. 5 Layaway (18+)
Joel X Reader (First Person) 18+
Includes: Smut, threats of violence, dubious consent, teasing, verbal humiliation, manhandling, mild violence, weapons
Check out my Ao3 profile for more! StargazerSmut
The weather takes a turn for the worse, and you pressure Joel into making good on a deal.
I peek over Joel’s sleeping form to check his watch for the third time. His muscled arm stretches out beneath him, protecting his head from the cement floor. I’ve been up for a little over a half hour and he’s still dead to the world.
It’s nearing sundown, and I figure he’ll be up soon. In the meantime I take a sort of twisted pleasure in seeing him like this, sprawled on the floor, mouth open, lightly snoring. I briefly think about taking advantage of this moment and his vulnerability, but think better of it.
Instead, I rifle through my pack and search for the small packets I hid in the inside pocket. I pull one out and look it over. A small foil pouch, a little worse for the wear, but still intact. Not long after the outbreak, when we were still searching nearby houses for supplies, I came across a small box of instant coffee packets in a neighbor’s shed, stuffed inside a tackle box . That was the last time I was able to get a hold of coffee, and I’d hoarded them in secret since, even from Joel when we packed up our supplies. I’d saved these little packets like people save a bottle of champagne for a special occasion, and being abducted by a stranger seemed special enough to deserve a cup of coffee.
I dump the packet into my metal thermos and set it near the all but dead furnace in a poor attempt to heat the water. I watch the little granules disappear and daydream about sitting in a coffee shop like before. It seems like a hundred years ago. I wonder what it will be like when all my little packets of crappy freeze-dried coffee are gone forever and I reminisce about those.
I let my mind wander as I look around the room. Joe’s smaller pack catches my eye. Right now it’s wedged between him and the wall he’s sleeping next to. I wonder if he has anything in there that’s special to him.
I step carefully over to him and listen to his deep, patterned breathing. He’s still out.
Even as I do it, I know it’s a dumb idea. If he woke up and caught me rifling through his things, that would absolutely be the last straw. But I can’t help it, I feel compelled to poke around. I make myself feel a bit better by rationalizing it. What if he really is a bad guy? There might be proof in there.
I hold my breath as I carefully lift it up and over him. I crouch just a couple feet away and unzip the top of the worn leather backpack.
To my relief, or maybe disappointment, I find nothing exciting. Some first aid supplies, jerky, a hank of rope. A baseball cap and a pen tucked into the outside pocket. I carefully unzip a small pocket in the inside, almost so small it’s hidden, and I feel paper. A map. A map of the area. Not a great one, but as I study it, I see he’s marked where we’ve walked so far, as well as a few paths that lead in different directions, Northward.
I glance up to make sure that he’s still asleep, and then I tuck the map into my pocket. I feel bad about it as soon as I do it, but it’s insurance. Just in case.
I feel like I’m going to jump out of my skin trying to put his pack back in place. I pray he doesn’t notice something is missing right away because I’m not a very good liar. I know it will come up eventually but maybe by then I’ll have a better plan.
I adjust the pack until I’m satisfied that it looks untouched, and then slide the map into the same pocket as my coffee packets.
I’m sipping my tepid coffee minutes later when I see Joel’s eyes blink awake and turn towards me.
“Get your beauty sleep?” I ask.
He looks bewildered. “Is that…?”
“Yeah. And I’m not sharing, asshole.” I can already feel myself trying to put some distance between what happened last night. I meant it to be lighthearted, but the words come out cold and fast.
He scowls at me, as he does, and lets out a groan as he stretches and begins dressing. I can’t help but watch out of the corner of my eye as he does. His shoulders are broad, and his back is marked with several scars.
He turns around and I quickly look away, catching just a glimpse of the front of his boxers and a familiar burn returns to my face. If he catches me gawking, he doesn’t say anything about it.
“Make ya a deal,” he says coolly.
“I’ve already made one deal with you, and that’s enough for a lifetime.”
“Give me some of that,” He points with force at my coffee, “And I’ll teach you how to properly use a knife sometime.”
I consider for a moment. “Who says I need you to teach me?”
“The scratch you left on my shoulder for one. Sloppy.”
I sigh in annoyance, but he has a point. I might not be thrilled to be stuck with him, but he seems to know what he’s doing and I’d be stupid to not learn what I can.
“Alright, deal,” I relent, and hand over my thermos.
—-
The weather is brutal and we only make it about 4 hours before we’re forced to shelter in an abandoned grocery store. The snow is blowing sideways and it’s hard to see even ten feet in front of us.
He insists we reinforce the entrance with a wall of shopping carts, which annoys me. I’m exhausted and can’t feel my legs. It makes me worried about making it out of town. I’ve never had to make the trip in these kinds of conditions and it’s much more brutal than I’d anticipated.
Exhausted and frustrated, I slide to the floor against a checkout counter, watching the flurry.
Joel doesn’t say anything, just disappears towards the back of the store.
“It’s all been looted like a million times over, don’t bother,” I yell back towards him half-heartedly.
Moments later, I hear clicking and a few low, yellow lights around the store flicker to life. It’s dim, but I can see a bit now. In the light, it’s even more apparent how picked over the store is, rows and rows of empty metal shelving stretching across either side of me.
Joel reappears moments later, looking infuriatingly smug.
“What happened to making sure people don’t see us?” I ask, not bothering to hide my bad attitude.
“Low visibility,” he says back, ignoring my tone and absentmindedly rifling through the drawers behind the counter.
“So what do we do now?”
“Wait,” he says, refusing to elaborate further. He puts his bundled sleeping bag on the floor, laying against it and resting his eyes.
“For how long?” As it comes out, even I can ear the whining lilt in my voice.
He doesn’t bother looking at me. “You ask a lot of fuckin’ questions.”
I walk over to where he’s laying and lean against the counter.“I’m bored out of my mind and restless. I need to do something.”
“Then do something.”
I roll my eyes. “Teach me how to use a knife like you said.”
That gets his attention. He looks up at me. “Not today.”
“Why not today? Pressing plans? Hot date?”
He grimaces at me and I feel my cheeks redden. “No seriously, show me.”
He reaches for a dusty old circular off the bag carousel and uses it to cover his eyes. “Anyone ever tell you you talk too much?”
I bite the inside of my cheek and pause before nudging him hard in the leg with my boot, resolute. “Make me stop then.” As soon as I hear the words come out of my mouth, I’m shocked that I said them.
He sits up and grabs my ankle, and his tone darkens. “Knock it off.”
I feel like I’ve gone too far, and backing off will only make it worse at this point. My heart is racing hard. I kick his hand off me with a bit more force this time. “Make me.” I try to sound confident, but my voice shakes. “Use the knife.”
His face hardens and his eyes widen, questioning me.
I take a step back, suddenly nervous.
As he pushes to get up I feel myself bolting backwards, something animal in my brain taking over.
I don’t even make it five steps before he’s on me, a thick arm wrapped around my chest, cementing me against him. I struggle hard, even kicking up against him, but I barely move.
“Are you even gonna try?”
“Fuck you,” I grunt, trying to break out of his grasp.
Suddenly, my legs are swept out from underneath me and I land to the floor on my stomach with a loud thud, and it hurts.
I try to catch my breath, but he rolls me onto my back, straddling my chest, my arms pinned to my sides. I kick my legs hard underneath him, trying to get any kind of leverage but it’s useless.
He stares down at me panting and struggling and lets a small smile slip before shaking his head and muttering something to himself.
I see him reach for the sheath he keeps at his side and he pulls out his knife. “First of all,” he remarks calmly, “You use a real knife.” He holds it in front of my face.
I roll my eyes.
“You hold it like this.” He turns his hand so I can see how he’s gripping it.
“If you hold it like this,” He demonstrates, changing his grip to the same overhand one I used when attacking him, “You run into trouble.”
He brings it down to my shoulder, and I feel the blade pressing against the fabric of my shirt. My breathing begins to deepen at the contact.
He corrects his grip.
“You want to kill a man, you go here, or here, or here.” He punctuates each here by touching the blade to a different point on my neck. On the last one, he holds it there, pressing just a little deeper, and I feel a sharp sting.
I let out a small cry, but he ignores me.
He holds the knife in front of me again, and I see the wet, red tinge on the blade, and I feel dizzy at the sight. A heat pools in the bottom of my stomach and I shift uncomfortably beneath him.
“Got it?”
He ignores my squirming and casually runs the back of the blade through across his lips, cleaning off my blood, and casually puts the knife back in its sheath. I feel electricity run through my body at the sight.
He lifts his body off of me and sits back against the wall, leaving me a shaking mess on the floor.
I lay for a moment, catching my breath and wondering what the hell just happened.
“Get up.” He says it hard and serious.
I get up on my knees in front of him, and he grabs me by the front of the shirt, yanking me hard onto him, making me straddle one of his large sprawled thighs.
As I meet his eyes, I see his demeanor turn more serious.
“You’re bored.” He stares into me, brutal and unforgiving. “Entertain yourself.”
The friction of straddling his leg sends a wave of shame and pleasure and overstimulation over me. I can’t bear to look at him and I bury my face into his chest and press myself hard into him.
It feels too intimate and I’m embarrassed even as I do it, but I can’t stop myself. I press myself hard against his leg.
“Is this what you really needed?” He mocks softly.
I just grind against him harder, feeling myself building up to release.
His hand wraps around my hair and he pulls me even harder against him
“You gonna leave a mess all over me?” He taunts.
I can feel the wet mark I’m leaving on his jeans and it makes something in me burn even harder.
He leans down, his mouth against my ear. “I could really hurt you.” He says, with no hint of softness this time.
“I need to…” I can barely get the words out.
“Ask.” He says.
“Please… please… can I…”
Before I can get the words out, his hand grips my hair tighter, and another hand grips my ass painfully, and I lose myself on top of him. It’s dirty and humiliating and so good.
For a moment I’m a mess. Soaked and on the verge of tears, but something deep inside me calmed and satiated.
As I come down, I soften against him. I feel the warmth of his chest, settle into the sound of his heartbeat.
A few moments later, I feel him tensing and I’m worried he’ll pull away, but he relaxes again.
“I knew you were fuckin' trouble.”

Fandom: Wednesday (2022) Summary: They all knew that it was going to happen eventually, but Enid is the first to bring it up- like always. Warnings: Mentions of pregnancy and discussions of shitty parenting Word Count: 1,099 Ship(s): Wednesday Addams/Enid Sinclair/Xavier Thorpe/Ajax Petropolus/Tyler Galpin
Archive link!
A/N: I don't know where this came from it was just in my head and then I had to write it. In this they're all adults and they've been married for some time. I was purposefully vague with what happened with Tyler after S01 so you can decide how they all got together! Stay sissy and bitchy everyone <3
“So Enid and I have been talking,” Ajax announced as he walked into the massive master bedroom that he shared with all of his partners, the aforementioned werewolf clutching his arm.
“That’s never a good sign,” Xavier winced as he looked up from the canvas he had been working on. He had very recently gotten a commission from someone to do something in charcoal, so his fingernails had been stained black for weeks.
Tyler kicked him weakly, just enough to make his chair budge. He turned towards their partners and asked, “What about?”
Enid turned so that she was facing the husband next to her, the smile pulling at either of her cheeks so hard that it looked borderline painful. “Ajax and I have decided that we want to have kids!”
The consistent steady tap-tap-tap of Wednesday’s type writer stalled. Her fingers were hovering a few centimeters away from the keys as her brain pulled away from the fictitious novel that it was creating and back towards the real world. She tossed a look to her fiance and then over to the two husbands sitting near their coffee table. “This was inevitable, wasn’t it?” she asked.
“You knew that Enid came from a big family. Of course she’d want kids,” Tyler replied easily. “Ajax is a bit more of a surprise for me.”
“I wanted children as well, after I met all of you,” Wednesday replied easily. It had gotten easier for her to accept the concept of motherhood and marriage when she realized that she could have a different version of it than her mother had. She didn’t have to stay home, tending to the house and taking care of whatever children she did or didn't have based on her spouse’s desire. Instead, she could work as a forensic scientist and write her novel while others tended to the house. Enid had assured her that she was fine to do housewife duties with Tyler in between her big events every couple of months. Ajax was really good with kids, so she knew that he would most likely become the primary caregiver for them as well.
“Do the rest of you not want kids?” Enid asked, her mouth flickering down into a worried frown for just a moment.
“N-no, I think we all want kids too,” Xavier quickly corrected. His eyes were darting around to the rest of his partners as if he was worried that he was saying something wrong. It bothered the rest of them that even after all of this time, literal years spent away from a siren or his father, that he was still this nervous to speak his mind.
“Great!” Enid clapped her hands eagerly. She almost skipped across the room so that she could cup either side of his face and bring their lips in together for a searing kiss.
Xavier chuckled, gently prying her away from him with his pigment covered hands. “Baby, we actually have to talk about this.”
The werewolf let out a grumpy little noise and then plopped herself down into his lap. “What is there to talk about?”
“Well, who’s going to carry the baby, who’s going to father it, when do we want to try and conceive, where would we even put a child,” Tyler listed off several of the questions that popped into his head when he first heard his wife’s statements.
She looked at him for a moment and then sunk lower into Xaviers lap like she had suddenly realized that her plan had been foiled. Wednesday finished typing the sentence that she was on and then gracefully made her way over to the living room set up that they had in their bedroom. She sat down on the couch next to Ajax and said, “I could carry the first child. I always wanted to know what pregnancy and childbirth would be like for someone like me.”
“Are you sure? You’d have to give up coffee, poison, and alcohol for like nine months since we don’t know how that would effect a baby with our  mixed genes,” Xavier said carefully. They were all aware that they had been given the Addams’ family curse when they had married their wife, but it was still uncertain if the baby would have the same resistance to death that they now did.
“I could do it. Do you think that I couldn’t?” she asked, raising one perfect brow in a challenge to her husband.
Enid spoke up before the two of them could get in a hissing match that would result in some very distracting sex. “Well if Wednesday wants to carry then that’s one problem that’s solved. Also, this house has like a billion rooms so we could just make a nursery out of one of them. As for when we start, why can’t we do it right now?”
“You’re just horny,” Ajax giggled with a dopey smile.
“I guess we are pretty settled into our jobs and it’s not like we’re struggling financially. But who would father?” Tyler nodded. He grasped his hands together in his lap for just a moment before he said, “I don’t think that it should be me. I don’t want to risk passing down any of my hyde genetics. I know that none of you mind and that Wednesday likes it but I wouldn’t want to give my issues to a kid that didn’t even ask for it. And I don’t want to turn into my mother.”
“I didn’t turn into my mother,” Wednesday replied but she was very obviously respecting his wishes. While she liked to push his boundaries and edge him out of his comfort zone, she knew that forcing him to genetically father a child when he didn’t want to was past an unspoken boundary.
Xavier blew out a breath, which moved a couple of the long blond strands of Enid’s hair. “I’m not sure if I want to either. I feel like I’d be passing on the whole ‘Thorpe Empire’ bullshit that I had to grow up with. My father still hasn’t let go of that shit,” he grumbled. He wrapped his arms tighter around his wife to try and forget how much of a problem his father had been in the last few years. “If we want to start trying to have a baby right now then I don’t want to father it. I’ve got some thinking to do before then.”
The last of her husband’s turned to face Wednesday, his face soft and near stupid as he said, “I guess it’s just us then, huh raven?”

marked up - charles leclerc
summary: you meet him at a club & take him home, but it turns out you both like to be in charge
Tumblr media
warnings: 18+ NSFW, lots & lots, read at ur own risk, rough sex
You were surrounded by the loud boom of the DJ and the sweaty bodies of your friends as you all danced together in the club. You had been vacationing in London and met up with a group of guys at the club.
You had taken a liking to one of them, stealing glances across the room and winking whenever he got the opportunity to.
He walked over to you and held out his hand. “I’m Charles,” he said. “Great to meet you.”
You introduced yourself to him and continued talking. You learned about what he does for a living and where he’s from and you shared the same information about yourself with him.
Later in the night, the club began to get packed with more people. You would think that the crowd would die down the later it got, but apparently it’s the opposite.
He leaned in and whispered in your ear. "What do you say we get out of here?"
You nodded, at a loss for words. You’re never at a loss from words after that much alcohol. He grabbed your hand and slowly led you towards the exit of the club, hoping to not cause a stir with your group.
You pass the bouncer and give him a wave as you leave and start to follow the streets of London. You never knew how beautiful this city could truly be. You were unsure in the moment of whether it was the alcohol in your system or the hand you were holding.
You could tell Charles had a bit to drink as well. You continued to hear him speak French under his breath here and there, even though he knew you didn't speak it. You giggled and looked at him which caught his attention. "What's so funny?" He smiled.
You shook your head slowly. "Nothing. You're cute, that's all." You directed your gaze back down to the sidewalk.
He muttered under his breath again, but this time it was definitely English. "I'm not gonna be cute in a couple minutes now," he said quietly, and laughed.
"What was that?" You asked, hoping to get him to repeat himself so you could acknowledge what he said. Instead, he just shook his head and kept walking.
The streets of London were still surprisingly packed at this hour. Friends wandered down streets and alleyways laughing like this was a regular night for them. This certainly felt like a regular night out for you, but you felt safer even despite your state of inebriation.
Charles looked just as in awe of the surroundings as you did. "Is this your first time in London?" He asked. His hand was still tangled with yours when he began to swing your arms back and forth like a child.
"Yes, actually. And it's living up to my expectations for sure." You smiled at him.
"I'm glad it is. I've been here a few times," he stopped and stumbled over his own feet, almost bringing you to the ground with him.
You broke out in laughter and clapped your hands together as he looked at you in shame. You almost felt bad until he began to laugh as well. Charles stood up, dusted himself off, grabbed your hand, and continued walking down the lit street.
He pointed forwards at a hotel entrance with his free hand and led you inside. The bright lights and white decor shocked your eyes before entering the elevator. He pressed the floor button as you descended up to his room. You weren’t sure what to say in this moment and you could only hope that the silence was comforting to him. You looked around the elevator, seeing things move around inside your eyes and trying to focus. Convincing yourself that you're sober is pretty difficult when you're not.
The door opened and you followed him through the carpeted halls. He grabbed a key out from his pocket and swiped it to open the door. "Home sweet home, baby." He gestured to the room as you walked in. As soon as the door closed, you felt a different energy from him. His eyes looked hungry as he looked your body up and down. You took a step backwards, against the door and did the same to him, finishing your glare at his face, focused on his lips.
"You are so sexy," he said, taking a step forward. His hand found your cheek before his lips crashed to yours.
You turned your head slightly, kissing him back. Your free hands went to his hair, pulling on his locks with need. He tasted incredible, even after a long night of drinking. You pulled his head away from your lips and down to your neck as he sucked on your skin. There was definitely going to be marks tomorrow.
His mouth lifted from yours and he spoke breathlessly. "Are you trying to get me to mark you up?"
You smirked. "Would it be the worst thing?"
He was just as devilish as you were. "Absolutely not." He made his way back to your neck. His hands trailed down your body, reaching the hem of your dress. His hand snaked under the hem and went to your backside. "You have an incredible ass," he said between kisses. Your eyes rolled back into your head as you felt that intense feeling growing in your abdomen. You pushed him back and took a few steps towards the bed before pushing him again onto the soft white comforter.
You straddled his lap. Your dress rolled up your legs and eventually rested around your waist leaving you bare. His hands found your ass again as you kissed him roughly. He pulled your body closer to him and you began to rock back and forth on his lap. "Shit, baby," he said between kisses. "I want you to ride me."
A smile formed across your face. "We don't always get what we want now do we?" You continued the motion on his lap, grinding harder and faster. You knew you were driving him crazy and it was getting to be too much for him to handle. He grabbed you and flipped you around so he was on top.
"I don't want you to think you're the one in control now, baby." He looked down at you with lust. You pulled him in for another kiss, but he resisted. He backed up off of the bed and began unbuttoning his shirt before tossing it to the side.
His lips found your legs as he began kissing up your body and crawling closer to you. His hand dipped into your underwear as he reached your inner thighs.
His fingers began tracing circles around your clit, sending shockwaves through your body. It had been months since anyone touched you like this. You tried to speak but the only thing that came out was a moan. His fingers lit your body up into flames.
"That's right," he said. A finger slowly found its way towards your entrance before slipping inside.
"Fuck," You moaned.
He followed suit. "I love to hear you moan for me baby." He entered another finger inside of you, hitting you in just the right spot. You rolled your eyes back, being shocked again when you felt his mouth on your clit.
You looked down to see his head buried between your thighs, going to work with intensity. "Jesus, Charles," You threw your head back again. He continued to work your body close while your legs wrapped around his back. You arched your back as you could feel something building inside of you. A moan escaped your lips followed by a few expletives.
His fingers worked inside of you and his tongue lapped around your core. He looked up at you, making eye contact while continuing all of these motions. He might be the hottest man you’ve ever seen in this moment.
He quickly sent you over the edge and you tried to recover before you pulled at him to get on the bed. Again, he resisted. "Baby, I'm in charge tonight." He flipped your body around so you were on your stomach. A sweet stinging sensation was felt on your ass as he grabbed your hips and pulled you up on all fours.
You heard the sound of foil ripping and he was soon inside of you. His pace was hard and rough and he felt so good inside of you.
Your arms felt like they were going to give out, so you leaned your head down on the bed as he pounded into you from behind. A low growl escaped his throat as you felt your head being tugged back up by your hair.
"Shit, you feel so good," he said with one hand gripping your ass and the other holding your hair in a makeshift pony tail.
"Fuck," You moaned, your body rocking back and forth before you began to feel that familiar feeling again. "Charles-" A hard smack on your ass stopped your speech but ultimately sent you over the edge.
He continued to work inside of you before his pace quickened and eventually slowed.
Your body fell onto the bed in exhaustion as he walked to the bathroom to clean up.
-
You woke up the next morning with an arm draped over your side. You turned behind you to see a peaceful Charles still asleep. You didn't want to wake him but your head was spinning. You tried to get out of his grip but he eventually started to stir awake. "Good morning beautiful," he said in a rugged morning voice.
You smiled at him as you pulled the covers up and walked towards the bathroom. You passed the full length mirror, noticing my naked body covered in purple and red marks. Your hair was a mess but somehow your makeup was still intact.  You looked towards Charles on the bed and saw him already staring at you with a smirk on his face. "Look at you," he said.
You shook your head and laughed. "I'm going to hop in the shower real quick."
He promptly jumped out of bed. "I'll join you if it's alright?" He asked.
You nodded to him and started the shower, the bathroom filling with steam. He walked into the bathroom behind you and got a closer look at your body. "I think seeing you marked up by me is getting me hard again."
You turned around and looked at him before dropping to your knees. "Well, why don't we do something about that."

For @angelscas Happy birthday, Bex ♡
Prompt: fluff 1.5k words Read on ao3
“Come on, man. It’s not that hard,” Dean nudges Cas with his shoulder and motions for him to step aside so he can get a better angle on the washing machine. “Look. Detergent goes in the big slot here, fabric softener in the small one.”
What Dean had thought would be an easy task is now slowly turning into something of an epic battle. They’re already on their third laundry load of the day, but Cas is still struggling to get all the steps right.
Dean had figured Cas would need to learn a few of the ins and outs of being human, but he didn’t anticipate that it would take him quite so long to catch on. The last couple weeks had been filled with non-stop “How To” lessons, all in the name of preventing Cas from committing minor atrocities around the Bunker.
It all started with an incident with the dishwasher, because Cas figured dish soap was a perfectly fine substitute for dishwasher detergent. Then, Dean was horrified to discover that Cas had been using his toothbrush for close to a week instead of getting his own. And disaster nearly struck when Cas stuck a slice of pizza wrapped in aluminum foil inside the microwave. Sam had intervened just in time, and that’s when Dean had decided enough was enough. After all, he hadn’t survived multiple apocalypse and countless supernatural beings just to be taken out by an exploding microwave.
So Dean was making it his mission to teach Cas everything he knew.
“Think of me as your own personal Yoda for being human,” he’d said to Cas, who hadn’t understood the reference and led to Dean invoking a weekend-long Star Wars marathon.
After that, the lessons had commenced. Dean started off simple enough, first showing Cas how to vacuum and dust and make his own bed. Then there was changing the oil in the Impala (even though Dean would probably never let him drive it). Cas complained the whole way through cleaning the bathroom and taking out the trash, but quickly changed his tune when they got around to cooking.
Dean normally would be irritated having another person in the kitchen, hovering over him, getting in his space. But he quickly found he relished these lessons, Cas pressed close against his side, watching in awe as Dean showed him the right way to scramble eggs so they stayed soft and pillowy, or how to make burgers that were perfectly medium rare. And then seeing the delight on Cas’s face when he tried a new dish for the first time… Yeah. Dean didn’t mind that at all.
But the cooking classes would have to wait until laundry was done, and Dean was beginning to wonder if that would ever happen.
“I just don’t understand why it’s pertinent to separate items by color,” Cas mumbles, reading the back of the Tide container.
“Because you don’t want the colored fabrics to bleed into the lighter ones,” Dean says, pulling a bright blue shirt out of the mountain of white clothes already stuffed into the washing machine.
“Clothes can’t bleed, Dean. They don’t have a circulatory system.”
Dean does a piss-poor job of hiding his smile. “Alright, smartass. How about you start folding that load in the dryer that just finished up, huh?”
Dean finishes loading the washing machine and switches it on before sidling up next to Cas, helping him pull the staticky, warm clothes from the dryer before folding them into piles. And this becomes another feat in and of itself. For one, the laundry room isn’t exactly big enough for two full-grown men, so they find themselves constantly in each others’ space, knocking elbows as they go. Cas is also painfully slow at folding, taking care to make sure every crease in every shirt is exactly right. Dean wants to tell him to get a move on, that it doesn’t actually matter how you fold a t-shirt, but he soon finds himself mesmerized by the way Cas’s hands move over the fabric, how his fingers tangle on the shirt sleeves and hook around the fabric as he manipulates the material.
And then Dean’s not thinking about Cas doing laundry at all, but about how it might be instead if Cas’s hands were moving over his skin or tangling in his hair or hooking around his waist. It ends up taking twice as long as it normally does to get everything folded and in the laundry baskets, and Dean’s not quite sure who’s at fault.
“I think I like folding,” Cas breaks the silence, snapping Dean out of his daydream.
“Yeah? Well, you’re good at it,” Dean says, which isn’t exactly the truth but maybe Dean’s a bit biased.
“Well, you’re a good teacher.” Cas looks up at Dean with a coy smile, his eyes bright and filled with a look that makes Dean’s stomach flutter. And maybe it’s how much time they’ve been spending together recently, or the heat from the freshly dried clothes making him feel a bit more bold, but Dean is suddenly stepping into Cas’s space, pressing forward, leaning in—
The sudden ring from Dean’s phone causes them both to jump.
“Ah shit.” Dean pulls his phone from his pocket, and of course Sam would pick now of all times to call.
“What?” Dean answers with maybe a little too much vitriol.
“Whoa, hi yourself,” Sam replies. “Sorry, were you busy? I can call back.”
Yes, I’m busy. And please don’t call back for at least the next couple hours, is what Dean wants to say. But he looks over at Cas, who gives him a weak smile before grabbing one of the filled laundry baskets and quietly heading out of the room. Dean lets out a long sigh and turns his attention back to the phone.
“No, Sam. I’m not busy. What’s up?”
---
An hour and one long, boring conversation with Sam later, Dean is making his way past the laundry room again when he sees Cas, staring blankly into the open top of the washing machine.
“Cas? You okay, buddy.”
“I—” Cas slowly turns to face Dean, and it’s then he notices that Cas is clutching a pair of Dean’s socks. At least, he thinks they’re his socks.
“Dean, I’m—I’m so sorry,” Cas stutters. “I guess a red shirt got mixed in with the whites and everything is now—”
Dean makes his way over to Cas and peers into the washing machine. Everything, from his socks to his shirts to his underwear, is now dyed a bright shade of pastel pink.
He looks back up at Cas—who looks like he’s on the brink of tears—and Dean can’t help himself. A second later, he bursts into a fit of laughter.
“Dean?” Cas is now looking at him sideways, brow furrowed in confusion.
“Oh man, Cas,” Dean says—still smiling—pulling out one of his t-shirts to examine. “I really hate to say it but… I told you so.”
Cas relaxes then, and lets out a small chuckle as he looks down at the socks in his hands.
“Yes, I suppose you did,” then, a bit more solemnly, “I’m sorry I ruined your clothes.”
“Hey, it’s fine. Besides, I think I look pretty good in pink,” he says, holding the t-shirt up across his chest. Cas rolls his eyes.
“What? You don’t think I look good?” Dean asks, giving Cas a wink. Cas looks down at his feet as the corners of his mouth turn up.
“You always look good, Dean,” he says quietly, before glancing back up at Dean with the same look he had earlier, and yeah. Okay.
Dean shifts, placing the shirt around Cas’s neck, pulling him in. Cas doesn’t resist.
“You know, I think you look pretty good yourself,” Dean says softly, and leans in to meet Cas’s lips with his own.
Cas’s mouth is warmer and softer than freshly-dried linens, and he lets out a sigh when Dean’s tongue traces along his bottom lip. It’s not long before Dean feels the hands he was so mesmerized by earlier grabbing at his hips, pulling their bodies even closer as their mouths continue to dance together, opening up to each other.
They stay fused, heat building, until the sounds of Sam returning through the main door of the Bunker forces them apart. Dean groans as they separate, but Cas continues holding tight to Dean's sides.
“Your brother really does have terrible timing,” Cas sighs, and Dean lets out a snort.
“Still not as terrible as your laundry skills,” Dean teases.
“You don’t seem to mind,” Cas says, trailing his hands up Dean’s back.
Dean grins and brings his lips to Cas’s ear. “I really don’t,” he whispers, and then kisses him again.

Back From the Bar (Ai Mikaze x F-Reader x Ranmaru Kurosaki) (NSFW)
This is literally the first NSFW thing I ever wrote. This is in 1st person. I know some people aren’t a fan of that, but I didn’t want to go in and edit it. This is from a while back. -Frost
I closed the door behind me, leaned against it, and slid down. I was exhausted and honestly tired of standing. Being a bartender was hard, long hours full of drunk people slurring their words, and others flirting endlessly with you.
I shivered, remembering the man that had tried to climb across the bar to touch me. He had almost succeeded in grabbing me, and I would be forever grateful in my coworker for pulling me out of his reach. I was usually good about avoiding things like that, but I had been mixing a complicated drink and was focused on getting it right. I ended up spilling the cocktail all over myself.
I stood up, throwing my bag on the couch as I walked into the kitchen. There was a plate covered in foil with a note next to it. I looked at the time, 4:09 AM, might as well be my breakfast. I hated coming home this late. I clenched my fists, before ripping off the foil and shoving the plate in the microwave. There was no doubt in my mind that my boyfriends had been asleep for ages now. The microwave beeped and grabbed my food before hopping the counter to eat.
As I ate, I scrolled through the text messages that I had got during work. I responded to a few before I finished and put my plate in the sink. My shoulders fell as I realized there was no way I could go to bed without a shower. Just as I hopped off the counter, a hand was placed on my shoulder. I spun and attempted to punch whoever had snuck in.
Ai caught my fist before it could connect with anything. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"According to my data, you've never been this jumpy. Something must have happened at work. Do you wish to talk about it?" Ai asked. I gave him a tired smile before leaning into his chest. "Before you ask, Ranmaru is still asleep. The probability of him waking up is about 25%, as we had many photoshoots scheduled for yesterday."
"That's good at least. I'm sorry for waking you up." I looked up at him from my place against his chest. "As for what happened, all I'm gonna say is Drunk Men." An idea popped up in my head, and I smirked. "I do, however, need a shower. Care to join me?"
Ai's face shifted to show confusion. "I wasn't aware that I needed one. Do I smell?" He asked. I let out a small laugh.
"No, Ai, you don't smell or anything. Sometimes couples bathe together, they may have intimate moments while in the shower or bath," I said with a blush, and Ai tilted his head.
"Doesn't that defeat the purpose of-"
"Ai. I love you, but I need you to throw logic and common sense out the window once in a while."
"Without common sense-"
"I want your company! So shut up and come shower with me." I finally told him, grabbing his hand and dragging him towards the bathroom with me.
I nuzzled into Ai's chest, feeling content being held in familiar arms. We had both washed up and were now just standing under the warm water.
"You seem to be much more at ease than you were earlier." I looked up at him and smiled.
"I feel a lot better than I did, I'm no longer covered in sticky syrup and alcohol. I'm in the arms of one of the two men I trust." I told him before pulling his head down to mine. Our lips met, and it was like a switch was turned, suddenly my back was up against the wall. One of his hands was at my hips, the other was tangled in my hair, pulling me closer to him. The kiss was full of lust and longing, and I couldn't help but return with equal force. I ran my hands up his toned stomach all the way up to entwine my fingers in his hair.
We parted for just a second to catch our breaths before diving back into the kiss. One of Ai's hands came up and gave my breast a soft squeeze. I moaned into the kiss, my core heating up with need. It had been weeks since I last did anything this intimate with either of my boyfriends. His lips moved down my neck, and as I pulled his hair, he let out a little moan of his own.
"You know, I'm not sure what I was expecting when I walked in here at 5 in the morning, but it wasn't this. I'm not complaining, as long as you plan on letting me join in." I looked behind Ai, and there the other love of my life, Ranmaru. He smirked and turned the water off.
"Come on, the bed seems like a much better place for this. Ai grab a towel." He ordered. Ai stepped back, still holding me in his arms, and glared at Ranmaru. I stepped out of Ai's embrace, out of the shower, and into Ranmaru's chiseled chest. Ai grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my shoulders before grabbing one for himself, and walking over to the bed and laying down. Ranmaru looked down at me, the sexy smirk he had on his face almost had me on my knees.
He scooped me up into his arms and carried me towards Ai and the bed. Ranmaru gently laid me next to Ai, who promptly began to attack my neck with kisses and love bites, his hands gently massaging my breasts. I bit my lips in an attempt to hold in a moan.
"Come on, Kitten, don't hold in those precious moans of yours." Ranmaru husked, his voice low and sexy, as he climbed on top of me. I whimpered as he began to finger my slit.
"De-Deeper!" I moaned out as Ai pinched my nipple. He was getting rougher with my body, moving from my neck to my ear.
"My sensors are going crazy; you’re the only one who can do this to me." He whispered in my ear, as Ranmaru slide in fingers into my pussy. I gasped at the feeling, it had been so long since the three of us did something like this.
"Ran-Ran-Ranmaru!" I manage to choke out between moans. He started to speed up, curling his fingers. I pulled his head down to mine and crashed out lips together. I was starving for his kisses, his body.
I was so lost in the kiss's heat and didn't notice the second that he stopped. I made a whining noise in my throat that turned into a full-on moan as I felt Ai start to lick and prod my cunt with his tongue. Ranmaru broke away from the kiss and began to suck on my nipple. I felt my core tighten.
"Ai! Ran! Pl-Please!!!!! I-I!" I shrieked, trying to tell them how close I was. Ranmaru looked up at me.
"Cum (Y/N)." That was all it took, I screamed, the coil in my stomach bursting. Ranmaru pulls me close as I come down from my high, and I hear Ai come and lay down by my side.
"I love you two so much," I said, panting.
"We love you too, Kitten," Ranmaru whispered, moving the stray hairs out of my face.
"Now get some sleep, we'll be here when you wake up. We have the day off tomorrow, don't worry." Ai said, caressing my cheek. I leaned my head into his touch, and grabbed Ranmaru's hand.
"Are you sure?" I mumbled, the exhaustion catching up with me. They both nodded.
"We can take care of ourselves."
"Just get some sleep, Kitten."

The Mesas of Deuteronilus Mensae (10/?)
I hate to say it, but the updates will likely be coming a bit slower from here on out. Things will be busy for me for the next couple of months. :(
He was watching her closely, poised to apologize to her at the first opportunity. He should never have opened his mouth – or his heart. This was why things had gone wrong for him in the past, this was why-
He stopped his ruminations short. Something was wrong. Scully had begun shaking. Initially, it was just a slight tremor that ran through her arm, but after watching her for a minute, her teeth started chattering and her whole body was trembling.
“Scully?” he said quietly. Bile rose up his esophagus. He started going through the laundry list of symptoms of radiation poisoning.
“I’m-” she said, her breath choppy. “I’m okay.”
“No, the hell you are not.”
He reached over to the small comm console, intending to inform Ehrlich and get in touch with the Mission Control Flight Surgeon, but he felt a soft hand on his arm.
“Don’t,” she said.
“Scully-” It was breaking his heart just looking at her. If anything happened to her, he’d-
“It’s just,” she started, her teeth chattering, “it’s just shock.”
Mulder watched her closely. Her color was good, and he didn’t see any signs of a tell-tale rash. He felt his panic begin to subside. “Are you sure?”
She nodded her head, finally looking him in the eye.
“Do you, do you need oxygen?”
She shook her head. “It’s not acute. Stress hormone let-down. Minor blood loss. I just-“ she paused to lick her lips. “I just need to get warm.”
He looked around. There was the foil space blanket in the first aid kit, but not much else. He shook it out and draped it over her, but she continued to shake. A look of mild embarrassment crossed her face, and she swallowed thickly and leveled an apologetic look at him.
“Will you hold me?” she said.
He immediately jumped up. “Yeah,,” he said, “I can’t do that.” And he slipped behind her on the bench. It wasn’t really wide enough for two people to lay side-by-side, but if he pulled her tightly to himself, they could make it work.
Mulder threaded his arm under her cheek so she could use it as a pillow, and pressed himself back against the shelter wall, pulling her in tight to his chest. He stretched out one leg which she immediately tucked hers on top of and then he threw his other leg up and over both of hers. The foil blanket crinkled between them. He could feel her trembling in his arms.
“Is this better?” he asked after a few minutes.
Her teeth had stopped chattering. “Yes,” she said, “thank you.”
He sighed. Most of the hair had come out of her ponytail and was curled like silken thread into the skin of his throat.
“I’m getting tired,” she said. “Post shock fatigue.”
“Your head,” he murmured. “Do we need to follow concussion protocol?”
“You, follow protocol?” She was joking, but her voice was thick with exhaustion.
“Scully.”
“I’m not concussed,” she said tiredly.
He decided to take her word for it, figuring pressing her about it would make everything – everything – probably a little bit worse.
Her breathing started evening out, and just when he thought she had fallen asleep, she spoke.
“I’m sorry,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “You saved my life. I had no right to be angry with you about it.”
He wanted nothing more than to press a gentle kiss into her neck and tell her that he would do it every day of his life if only she’d give him the chance, but he had to settle for taking a deep inhale of the scent of her skin, and instead said:
“I’m sorry, too. I never should have… Said what I did. It was inappropriate and uninvited. As the mission psychologist, everyone’s mental health needs to be my top priority – and that includes yours. Putting expectations or any kind of pressure on you was… Well, I need to be beyond reproach. I promise you I will do so going forward. I’ll keep my distance from you… If that’s what you want.”
Instead of a response, all he heard was a soft snore. She had fallen asleep.
XxXxXxXxXxX
When she woke, she had a dull headache and the top of her foot was on fire with pain. But she was also warm, comfortable, and enveloped in a snug, cozy embrace – a situation that had become fairly uncommon in the last few years. Up in the vastness of space? She thought maybe she could get used to it.
She took a big inhale and the arms that were wrapped around her loosened. She turned her head. Mulder was looking down at her, his mossy eyes pale in the bright light of the shelter.
“Hi,” he said.
“Hi,” she replied, moving to sit up straight. His arms fell from around her and he scooted away to give her a little room.
“How are you feeling?” he asked.
“I’m okay,” she said, swallowing. “How long was I asleep?”
Mulder was looking at his hand, opening and closing it. “Couple hours,” he said.
“You were here the whole time?” she asked, having a bit of trouble rousing to full consciousness.
He nodded and she watched him for a second. “Did your arm fall asleep?” she asked.
He looked at her sheepishly and she felt an instant shot of guilt, which at least brought her fully awake.
“Mulder, why didn’t you move? You didn’t have to stay like that.”
He shrugged. “Seemed like you needed your rest, I didn’t want to disturb you.”
She was mildly bemused by his actions, but had to admit they were unfailingly sweet.
“You hungry?” he asked, moving over to the corner of the shelter where he’d retrieved the first aid kit. There was a small pantry stocked with food and water for four people for up to five days. Next to the pantry was a small lavatory with a privacy screen that came up out of the floor.
“I could eat,” she said.
Mulder grabbed the space equivalent of an MRE and walked over to her, carrying two.
“Beef stew or Chili and macaroni?”
Scully narrowed her eyes, unable to decide. Neither sounded all that appealing, but she did need to eat.
Mulder looked over the two packages. “This one comes with M&Ms,” he said, holding up the beef stew.
“Gimme,” she said, holding out her hand.
He handed it over with a smile and sat down next to her on the bench, unzipping the wrapping and setting the items from his own meal on the bench next to him.
“They couldn’t have sprung for a table in here?” she asked, only really needing to complain out loud.
“I intend to leave a scathing Yelp review,” Mulder answered. Then, “Ugh, marmalade? Who eats marmalade?”
“That three star review falling to two?” she asked, then held out her hand again. “I eat marmalade. I’ll trade you for a jalapeno cheddar cheese spread.”
Mulder took her up on her offer, but was wearing a distasteful expression, handing over the jelly and accepting the cheese. “I’m starting to reconsider our friendship,” he said.
“On the basis of what you consider to be a superior junk food preference?”
“I’ve had relationships end over less.”
She sat back, nibbling on the corner of a small slice of vanilla pound cake and looked at him. “Try me,” she said.
He seemed to consider her for a moment before firing ahead.
“Coke or Pepsi?” he asked.
“Coke.”
“Twizzlers or Red Vines?”
“Red Vines.”
“Skittles or Starburst?”
“I abstain.”
“On what grounds?” He was spreading the jalapeno cheese over a club cracker.
“Uneven comparison. Skittles are round. Starburst are square. You have to unwrap one. The other you can eat by the handful. Totally different mechanisms of both packaging and consumption. I abstain.”
“Okay,” he said, amused. “Sweet Tarts or Sprees?”
She considered the question. Finally she said, “Sweet Tarts, but only by a nose. Sometimes I worry Sprees are going to break my teeth. But I find the Spree grape flavor to be superior. Sweet Tarts cherry is better, though.”
He laughed. “Okay,” he said. “We can stay friends.”
Scully wasn’t sure if she should bring up what he’d said as she was falling asleep. He seemed to be operating under the impression (and she couldn’t blame him after how she’d acted) that his advance (if you could even call it that) had been unwelcome. If he’d considered that hitting on her, she’d like to see him walk through a crowded bar as a slight redheaded woman. What he’d said to her was a mild compliment in comparison. Anyway, even if it had been a come-on, it wasn’t an unwelcome one. It was… well… welcome. Maybe. Starting a relationship with someone she wouldn’t be able to get away from for six years if she went for it would probably land near the top of the list of Dana Scully’s All Time Relationship Blunders. That said, what had happened earlier in the day highlighted the very real fact that you only live once. And in space? Maybe not very long.
As she considered all this, watching him chew his way through a teriyaki beef stick, she realized that they’d fallen back into an easy reparte, and if they had to spend the next 24 hours in forced proximity, she didn’t want to start their time together by making it awkward. So instead, she smiled at him.
“Thank goodness,” she said mildly.
They munched the rest of their way through lunch in silence, after which Mulder cleaned up. He then excused himself to use the head, and Scully finally took a closer look at her foot.
Mulder’s sutures were neat and straight, which was pretty impressive for someone with only space basic and triage medical training — all of the astronauts had had to pass enough courses to qualify as an RN, with some added training like suturing. The tight skin on the top of her foot was puckered and red — when they got out of here, she would need antibiotics.
A desire to do the day over again rose up — not only to avoid everything that had happened, but she’d opted to wear her white flight suit today, and the material around the cuff near her injured fort was soaked in half-dried blood. It was stark in the clean room. She rolled up the cuffs to hide it.
“Oo,” Mulder said, lowering the lab’s privacy screen back into the floor as he exited. “We doing mani-pedis?”
“We do need to do something to pass the time,” she pointed out, opting to skip the sexually-charged joke she could have made.
“I think I saw a deck of cards in here,” he said, opening up the cabinet above the pantry. “Aha,” he said, pulling out a plastic-wrapped Bicycle deck.
Scully leaned back on the bench. “I knew there was a reason to live.”
“Care for a game of Snap?” Mulder said.
XxXxXxXxXxX
She trounced him at cards. Just utterly handed him his ass. First at Snap, then Spoons, then finally at war, which wasn’t even a skill-based game. If he hadn’t been in love with her before, he was head over heels now, and felt tragically duty-bound to not only hide his amour, but his delight at her prowess. Scully seemed to take it as him being upset.
“You’re not a sore loser, are you Mulder?” she asked him as she expertly dovetail shuffled the cards, peering at him without having to watch what she was doing.
“On the contrary,” he answered. “I lay humbled and awestruck at your feet.”
“You have a funny way of showing it.”
“You should see my panic face.”
She chuckled and set the deck of cards down, considering him. Panic or no, he had a handsome face – a strong jaw, a strong nose, and lips she couldn’t stop staring at.
“What do you think it’ll be like?” she asked him, trying to distract herself. “Mars.”
“Probably a lot like the moon, but orange and windier,” he breezed.
She smiled at him and Mulder took a deep breath, giving her question some thought.
“I honestly don’t know,” he finally said. “I’ve obviously given it a lot of thought. I know the science of the planet, but it’s the intangible stuff that I have trouble picturing. We named the planet after the god of war. Its two moons have names that mean ‘fear’ and ‘dread.’ That’s some seriously intimidating psychic shit to overcome. Maybe it’ll be forbidding. It’ll most certainly be a little bit darker, with the sun being that much further away. Will our time on the planet be like walking through a shadow? Or will we find it welcoming and warm? A place ripe for discovery. I don’t know, Scully. I’m trying to keep an open mind. I’m hoping to let Mars answer those questions for me.”
Scully nodded, feeling like she understood him a bit better.
“What about you?” he asked her.
She thought for a moment.
“I didn’t let myself think about it,” she admitted. “I mean, up until about a couple months ago, I was just an also-ran. I wasn’t going to Mars. At least not anytime soon. And now I’m… I don’t know. I’m not intimidated by the enormity of it. But I’m finally letting myself imagine it. And all I can see from here to the horizon are just endless possibilities.”
Mulder was silently nodding at her, smiling.
“You’ve had a lot longer to think about it, Mulder,” she went on. “Tell me, what do you hope to find on the red planet?”
“You’ll laugh,” he said.
“I won’t.”
“Life.” That surprised her, but she refused to let it show. She’d promised not to laugh and she was not a person who broke promises.
“That would be remarkable,” she said seriously.
“What about you, Scully? What do you hope to find?”
“Faith,” she said simply.
XxXxXxXxXxX
They’d eaten dinner in comfortable silence and played a few rounds of gin rummy that Mulder won, though he was pretty certain that Scully had thrown them, just to be nice. When Mulder found the switch that dimmed the lights, they opted to try to sleep – the only guaranteed way to make the time go by any faster.
Scully thought that Mulder might elect to lay with her again in an effort to share body heat and perhaps sleep more comfortably, but he laid down on the far side of the bench after wishing her pleasant dreams and promptly closed his eyes.
Scully laid with her feet facing his and dozed intermittently for who knew how long. She didn’t dare glance at her watch – the more often she looked at it, the slower the time seemed to pass. Her foot began to scream in pain again and she sighed, sitting up. It was bound to be time for more ibuprofen. She rose unsteadily to her feet and tried hobbling over to where Mulder had re-stowed the first aid kit, but her second step tweaked her torn skin and she made an involuntary sound of distress. Mulder immediately shot up.
“Scully, what’s wrong?” He was wearing what she assumed to be his panic face.
“Ibuprofen,” she winced, and he immediately led her back to the bench and retrieved it for her. After he handed her a small carton of water from the pantry with which to wash the pills down, he looked at her in concern.
“Having trouble sleeping?” he asked.
She nodded.
“Cold?” He’d chivalrously given her the sole space blanket. She was about to tell him that her sleeplessness was more from her throbbing foot than anything else, but instead said:
“Yes.”
“Would you like me to lay with you?”
Not feeling a lick of guilt for her duplicity, she nodded once again.
This time when he laid down with her, she was actually able to enjoy it. He laid on his back and Scully half draped herself over him, throwing one of her legs over his. He was all long warm bones, solid of muscle and soft of skin. She seemed to fit perfectly beneath his chin, his body deliberately, calculatedly made to surround her like the warmest blanket. She drifted off into a dreamless sleep and woke however long later to the tender thump of Mulder’s heart beneath her ear.
He seemed to be half-awake, drawing the lightest lazy patterns against the fabric of her flight suit. She didn’t think he was even aware he was doing it. She drew a deep breath in so that he’d know she was awake, and his hand stilled, but he didn’t move under her. She thought back to the day before, when he’d comforted her and warmed her. She thought back to the words he’d mumbled into her hair.
“You don’t have to keep your distance from me,” she said, her voice sounding loud after all the silence of the night. She lifted her head and canted her face to look at him. He wore a soft smile.
“I wasn’t sure how much of that you heard.”
“I heard all of it,” she said, sitting up and sliding off him, keeping her eyes on his.
“You did?” he sat up too, their thighs resting next to each other on the bench, the hard polycarbonate plastic beneath them still warm to the touch.
“I’m not sure I want any distance between us at all, if I’m honest.”
“You… don’t?”
She’d startled him with that, she could tell. She licked her lips and couldn’t help but flit her eyes down to his. They looked pillow soft, the color of unripe raspberries.
“Scully, has anyone told you that you run kind of hot and cold?” He said it lightly and she took it in good humor.
“I’m a redhead, I come by it honestly.”
He looked at her for a long moment. “So what are you saying?”
Instead of giving him an answer, she leaned into him slowly, telegraphing her intentions so that he could pull away if he wanted to. He watched her ingress with a sort of startled reverence, and he closed his eyes as their breath mingled.
The air between them felt pendulous and verging, and time itself seemed to slow, like the eon of waiting for the sun to set over the Pacific. And then, when their lips touched – it was like M-Mir, that bright green flash –  just as elusive and unexpected. Their kiss felt like falling – like those first few seconds of zero g.
Mulder twisted a bit from his position next to her, bringing his hands to her waist gently, gently.  Scully didn’t want gently, she wanted to crawl inside and consume him from the inside out.
She deepened the kiss, and there was the breathless, churning feeling of building sexual excitement between them. She threaded her fingers into his hair and pulled at him, her tongue plunging in between his lips. He reached around her, his hands on her ass, and lifted ever so slightly – it was the only signal she needed, and she crawled fully into his lap.
And that was when the comm system chirped.
“Gooooooood morning astronauts!” came a low, carmely voice over the speakers. Scully pulled back from him with a wet smack. Mulder looked dazed and flushed. “This is your second-in-command, Lieutenant Commander Louis Elmer,” the voice continued, sounding chipper and amused, aping a personality somewhere between a morning zoo crew radio DJ and an eager airline pilot. “And I’m coming to you live from Laruna shelter number three! It’s a balmy 71 degrees fahrenheit here on board and our solar system’s star has stopped trying to kill us. Mission Control has given us the all-clear, so you may safely vacate the tastefully appointed fallout shelter you chose to hunker down in. Please make your way calmly to the observation deck for an all hands briefing. We will have to run thorough diagnostics on every ship system and check the status of the entire payload! Gonna be a fun day. NASA thanks you for flying the friendly skies with us, and we hope the experience of the last 22 hours didn’t sour you on space travel because we still have 70 million miles to go. We’ll see you on the observation deck!”
And with that, the pearly, odd, grinding twang of Three Dog Night’s ‘ Mama Told Me (Not to Come) ’ came over the speaker system, and Mulder and Scully both looked at each other, their faces still only inches apart, and laughed. Scully climbed off of Mulder’s lap without any trace of self-consciousness and limped over to the shelter door, throwing it open. She gave Mulder a smile and he rose unhurriedly and followed her, wrapping his arm around her waist for support. She leaned into him, onto him, throwing her arm over his shoulder, and they began making their slow, halting way to meet up with the rest of the crew.

Platonic Blob!Dream x Caretaker!Reader
Platonic Dsmp x reader prompt; Platonic Blob!Dream x Caretaker!Reader in the Dream SMP. Credit would be appreciated so more people can find this and make their own things based on it.
Mostly fluff and crack type prompt, but could be used for angst or hurt/comfort from c!Dream’s side of things.
----------------------------
The reader being a caretaker to whole bunch of blob dreams, as in there are several blobs of varying sizes but most of the time they are very small. It's basically a kindergarten for blobs. The blobs love the reader and demand attention from them constantly and get jealous of each other 24/7. While the blobs are individuals should they agree to work together they could fuse together and become gigantic.
The reader living far away from the main smp so no one basically knows they exist. The reader knows nothing of the going-ons of the smp nor do they know that their favourite blobs are a spitting image of dream's mask. The house I imagine they would live in would be some ranch style house with giant fenced in yard and garden. Their house and yard are filled with miniature furniture of varying sizes and toys for all the blobs to use and play with. Though most of the time the blobs play a chasing game with each other. Some of the blobs help the reader pull out vegetables from the ground when they are gardening.
One time when the reader had come back from a jungle they came back with some melon seeds and started growing them. When the melons are grown they cut two of them into tiny pieces and serve them to the blobs who end up absolutely loving it. They in fact love it so much some of the more devious ones sneak into the garden at their next outing and try to eat the watermelons. The reader suddenly starts to hear crying and immediately jumps into parent mode, but when they check it out they see a couple of tiny blobs crying around a watermelon that has bitemarks in it. The look disappointment and utter disbelief they have is magnificent but they instantly get to comforting the blobs in order to get them to calm down. When they do, and start to squeek angrily at the reader for lying to them about the tasty soft watermelon, the reader gathers all the blobs and gives them all a lecture that they aren't allowed to just try to eat the things in the garden without permission nor are they now allowed in the garden without supervision.
One time Dream's personal blob he can change consciousness to goes missing. So he changes to them and then is absolutely surrounded by other blobs, that mind you he didn't know existed, with absolutely no clue to where he is. When he finally figures it out he changes back to his normal body and starts the trek there. What he didn't expect was that the blobs would register him as threat the second he was in the readers proximity. And when those blobs came to the conclusion that their person was in danger they formed into a giant blob and basically chased/imitated him away. Dream might have seen his own one pointedly ignore him in favour of receiving attention and headpats from the reader. When they register the threat to be gone they simple separate and fall down back to the ground, bouncing off the surface they landed on.
Bunch of blobs squeeking at the reader for whatever they might want and the reader having to basically guess what they might want using context clues. The blobs swarming the reader at bedtime because almost all of them want to cuddle and the few that don't want to be tucked into their nests/beds.
Dream most likely doesn't bother going back to his blob form seeing it as pointless, that is until he ends up in the prison. At first the reason was to help his escape, but with the reader or the other blobs foiling his plans he mostly gives up on the concept, only occasionally trying again, he mostly just goes back to the form for a change of scenery and human contact. If Dream tries something dangerous while in the blob's body the reader puts him in babyjail in order to keep him and the other blobs safe. Whether he stays in babyjail or warps back to his normal body depends on how humiliated he is feeling, the larger the amount of humiliation the more likely he's to go back to his actual cell. Not that the reader knows they are humiliating him since they can't understand his enraged squeeks. Not to forget that the reader has no idea Dream is occupying one of their blob's body nor that the blob used to belong to him, they probably just think the blob has some anger issues or something along those lines.

if all stars fell at once (1) | xiao
pairing | xiao/reader
word count | 3k
genre | fluff, light angst, developing relationship, overall domestic
warning | eventual smut
The memory comes clear as the crystalline waters at the harbor. That day when rain poured mercilessly upon the land— the boy in a mask whose body trembled under an invisible burden. You remember the dark splotches on his body being washed away by downpour.
Blood.
Polearm supporting his body as it heaved, his face slowly turned to face you as an ominous dark mist accumulated around him. And when you blinked, it was as if he was never there; replaced by rain.
Whether it was the haze of sleepless nights getting to you or reality, you still had yet to know. Curiosity was fresh in your mind. His presence… though brief, held immense power and a tainted aura; enough to instill fear in the hearts of any who witnessed them. But you stood there, unwavering and eyes alight with awe and curiosity despite the rain that hailed mercilessly around you.
Weeks continued, and the image of the boy remained somewhere in your subconscious. Days came and went as your mind remained hazed, clouded with the fleeting memory.
The dark clouds overhead brought in strong winds; a sign of a storm rolling in. The laundry hanging outside would surely be swept away at this rate. Quick on your feet, you hurriedly pulled them off the clotheslines. Yet despite your efforts, a couple handkerchiefs you had embroidered were blown away by a harsh gust of wind.
“Ah…!” Despite your attempt, the wind plucked them out of reach. All you could do was helplessly watch as they were carried by devious winds further down the mountain.
Those were for… Ah, I guess I’ll have to redo those, you pondered anxiously. If they were all to be delivered in 3 days, you would have to stay up fairly late just to finish replacing them.
The candle light cracked and flickered as night crept over Liyue. No use stalling. With a sullen crack of your neck, you shut the windows and got to work. The relentless rain was your sole company as you worked through embroidering the replacements well into the night. Despite the nimbleness of experienced hands, numbness settled in after hours of working tirelessly to replace the delicately embroidered handkerchiefs. And with patterns and threads so intricate, they weren’t something you could rush.
The moon came and went that night, having accompanied you behind the storming clouds as it rained and ceased. Yet, late the next day when you returned from running errands, there upon your open windowsill were two neatly folded handkerchiefs safely held in place by a beautiful stone. You examined them— with no doubt, the ones that were swept away.
And as a breeze picked up once more, you didn’t dare look back but hoped the wind would carry your words to the deserving.
“Thank you.”
:
.
.
That was the first time in over a millennia that Xiao was thanked by a mortal for one of his many silent deeds.
———
Soft colors of fading blue and powdery orange iced the sky with the setting sun. You reminisced past memories fondly as you picked a few herbs from your personal garden. The day was slowly dwindling to a lethargic end, but the land ceased to fall into rest to savor most of what the day had to offer.
“Do you remember that, Adeptus Xiao?” you asked with a fond smile. It was met with silence for a moment before a voice spoke up from the roof of your house.
“So, you knew I was here. Mortals truly are something I cannot understand,” he clicked his tongue, shifting to get comfortable where he rested comfortably on your roof. “Or perhaps, it’s that our ties are too strong. Curious…” He pondered to himself, brows slightly furrowed as he contemplated.
With a stretch of your back you stood up, basket in hand. “I know my grandmother’s home is rather quiet here in Qingce Village, so I’ve noticed the roof has become a favorite spot of yours,” you observed with a small shrug he couldn’t see. “Call it a hunch.”
Though he wouldn’t admit it, Xiao knew your guess was right. With your home tucked furthest away at the top of the village, there were seldom any onlookers in the tranquil area. A perfect, stress-free corner for him to visit.
With a huff and trained grace, he hopped off the roof on playful winds and followed you indoors. There was still a cautious air about him but never the same as when you first met him all those months ago.
It seemed like you understood him more than he understood you sometimes, and it puzzled him to no end. Mortals were usually more predictable; working in routine and habits as he had seen of the many centuries that passed. Or… at least he thought. It was no secret that he found mortals to be indecipherable.
In the small kitchen, he was presented with an enticing dish that you laid out; his favorite, no doubt. “Here. I’m heading out to the harbor to run some last minute errands, but you’re welcome to stay here as long as you’d like,” you reassured him with a smile. “Thank you for keeping me company today.”
At your genuine, radiant smile, Xiao couldn’t help but avert his gaze shyly. Truthfully, it always caught him off guard to be thanked for such trivial things that were somehow meaningful to you.
Before you reached the front door, Xiao called out after you. “If you are out late, summon me— call my name. I will guide you safely home.” With firm reassurance, he held your gaze under piercing amber. “Promise me this. Do not be reckless.”
There was no fighting the grin that lit up your face. “You worry for me, Adeptus?” you teasingly prodded, and placed a quick peck on his cheek. “How unexpectedly cute of you.”
At the gesture, his eyes widened for a fraction of a second before his composure returned. Pensively, he folded his arms across his chest, and you swore he could practically be pouting.
“The safety of Liyue is my duty as an adeptus. As a tool to be used, and nothing more.”
There was a brief sorrow reflected in your eyes, and before Xiao had a chance to address it, you were hurriedly giving your final goodbyes with your usual warm energy.
“I promise I’ll be safe.”
Left to himself, he accepted your gifted offering of almond tofu. I love the way your eyes practically sparkle when you take that first bite, you once teased.
The memory picked up the thrumming in his chest— uncertainty accompanied by rose-dusted cheeks.
With each delicate bite, his mind upheld more questions. The feelings that burst subtly in his chest— what were they? He searched his heart for answers to describe it. Peace of mind? Loneliness?
As many times as his mind decided to go through the same painful cycle of thoughts, ultimately he was left with more questions than when he started. There were no answers within him.
Such as the moon replaces the sun and the days dwindle into night, he too would let it be for now.
And as the sun slowly retreated more and more behind mountains and thin clouds, Xiao couldn’t help but wonder why he continued to keep near you. A tie foraged with a mortal that strangely did not instill the overwhelming need to leave.
Even the room he was in caused no discomfort or suffocation. The cycle started once again as he wondered, why? He often resided at Wangshu Inn, but never in a room. The rooftop high above any wandering souls was his claimed accommodation. The balcony just below that was seldom used by guests was the only other space he occupied there— eyes able to survey the land from a higher vantage point.
However, here in this small shelter you called home there was none of that, yet he stayed. Curiously, his eyes wandered the room to take in the oddities and trinkets that were used as decorum. The bookshelf across the room posed with great importance, and as he approached it he took in the vast collection of books and small items that decorated some empty sections.
Gloved fingers grazed over the elegant, gold-foil titles of some of the books. Some he has partially read before, or listened to you read aloud while he rested on your lap under the large tree outside.
He found himself plucking one out tentatively, flipping through some pages of a thick storybook with worn corners. Another book from the shelf— a thin book of floral poems and sonnets. His mind idly worked to put together what these books could possibly say about you.
After neatly putting another book away, a small glint caught his eyes. Toward the end of one of the shelf rows was a pile of three books with a precious stone sitting atop them.
Ah, the cor lapis stone he had used when he silently returned the two missing handkerchiefs to you many moons ago. An unknown feeling settled in his chest, warm & persistent. It flourished— euphoric, almost, and not too unpleasant. He wondered if it was somehow related to similar chest pains he’d dealt with. Could he really call it ‘pain’ if it wasn’t truly hurting him? The feeling was foreign and he was utterly clueless.
He moved the stone to check the book underneath, flipping through the pages curiously. Amber eyes indifferently skimmed through a page his finger landed on, curious to what contents the vague title held.
A romantic novel from the looks of it.
The words were needlessly descriptive, the dialogue a little confusing to understand. Such flowery language was a bit bold and the more he read, the more the imagery they tried to paint became vivid in his mind and—
Xiao quickly shut the book, his face warm as he neatly returned the book to its rightful place. Well, it was an interesting book to have in your possession, to say the least. He didn’t have much experience with what it described, but the erotic imagery the dialogue described still left his face a little flushed and brows furrowed as he huffed in indignance at his flustered state.
Mortals do such things? Well, he knew they did, but he was never one to look into it more since he had no reason to.
He had no experience in such intimate matters, nor did he pay much interest in them with his hands usually full on a daily basis. Yet, somehow the thought of you now caused a swirl of emotions inexperienced by him before. Or rather, if he did, he no longer remembered. New questions piled up in his mind.
He shook his head, practically wincing at the odd sensations that kicked him low in the gut as the heat rising high on his cheeks subsided.
“How bothersome,” Xiao muttered to himself with a sigh.
On that same train of thought, he glanced out the window. The sun was merely a whisper that remained as it tucked itself farther behind mountains and dipped below the horizon.
Gloved hands momentarily clenched by his sides, flexing to ease the small seed of doubt. Mortals were unpredictable and reckless, that much he was aware of. With a sigh he watched as the sky over Liyue settled into the tranquility of night.
Though night had fallen, there was still no sign of you returning.
And so, Xiao set off on his usual routine. Out he ventured to vanquish the scattered hotspots of evil activity that surfaced. Be it from subdued gods or his own karma, Xiao relentlessly made quick work of any and all evil.
It was his eternal duty, as bound by contract from the Geo Archon himself—this he knew. If anyone should have witnessed his swiftness as he worked solemnly, they would’ve noticed how he worked just a little harder to clear out any evil nearing your usual route home.
The moon rose high in the sky, a dusty blue as it cast soft light over Xiao’s masked form. His polearm jabbed into the ground and dissipated along with the yaksha mask he donned for battle. The roads that led back to Qingce Village were all cleared, yet still no sign of you.
Approaching the marsh under blue moonlight, his gloved hands created ripples in the calm surface. The reflection of his concerned eyes stared right back at him through the tumultuous ripples that distorted his reflection over playful waters.
Under the watchful eye of the moon, Xiao diligently washed away the impurities that remained on him from battle. Clear waters surrounding him became murky before clearing once again as the blood and grime was carried further down with the current. Xiao closed his eyes and allowed himself to bask under the moonlight, taking in the rare moment of tranquility.
And then it rang out, soft and clear like a wind chime dancing with the gentle breeze.
Adeptus Xiao.
Shrouded by darkness, he answered your summons. As the thin veil of dark entity surrounding him dispersed, he found himself next to a bridge. The waterfall behind him brought a refreshing breeze, and just beyond him he could see Bubu Pharmacy below as well as the harbor.
“You called,” Xiao inquired. “It’s fairly late.”
He wasn’t here to admonish you, though it sounded very much like it. With a playful grin, you smiled up at him from where you sat on the grass next to the bridge.
The way you carried yourself without a care in the world— it was almost endearing how you looked up at him with such fondness.
“Can I ask why you’re here of all places?”
Your nimble fingers continued their work on the flowers you had in your lap, and you almost looked away bashfully. “I wanted to gaze at the stars for a bit,” you admitted sheepishly. “I finished my errands earlier, but then I ran into Mister Zhongli from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and, well… The conversation went on for a while and we ended up here.”
Silently, Xiao took a seat next to you, eyeing the handful of glaze lilies that softly glowed on your lap.
“What did you talk about?” he inquired to fill the silence. He delicately twirled one of the glaze lilies between his gloved fingers.
“Oh… this and that,” you shrugged.
Xiao hummed in response, not wanting to pry into the conversation, until he felt the softness of petals brushing his forehead.
“Mister Zhongli… he showed me how to make this.” There was hesitation in your downcast eyes, and you peered up at him through your eyelashes. “Do you like it?”
“A crown of… glaze lilies,” Xiao noted slowly. Their soft fragrance was delicate and sweet, like the gentle presence of the moon. It reminded him of you. “I’m unfamiliar with mortal customs of exchanges. Is it an adeptal offering?”
You blinked, taken by surprise at the question before sputtering out in a fit of giggles.
“Oh– No, no! This is what we call a gift.”
Xiao furrowed his brows, taking in this vague description. “Hm… I see. What meaning does this gift have?”
You perched your chin on your finger, contemplating. The only ‘gifts’ adepti were familiar with were the offerings that few who went before them brought. Usually, an offering entailed the bargaining of a mortal’s wants and desires to come true. Selfish, wishes he was all too familiar with hearing often.
“Gifts are given to people you consider special,” you started. “To those people who are important to you, usually you put extra effort into the gift. Handmade gifts as well… embody special significance since they hold all the feelings poured into them to be given to your special person.”
The chirps of crickets and running water soothed over the momentary silence as he took in your explanation. Mortal customs were more emotionally driven than he once thought.
“I see. Then,” Xiao delicately tucked the glaze lily he held into your hair. “This is my small offering.”
The rose that dusted your cheeks as your grin lit up your features, it bloomed his chest with that foreign warmth. The weight of reciprocating the gesture without a second thought— he had just openly admitted to considering you a special person. It felt… right.
In the lateness of the cool night, you both sat side by side looking out at the display of glittering stars. He felt as your pulse would briefly quicken under his gloved hand whenever you stole a quick glance at him, and he would offer a gentle squeeze of reassurance in response. Curious, this human next to him— and yet he found himself enraptured by your simple presence.
Across the endless sky, you halted what you were idly chatting about as a speckle of light shot across the sky.
“A falling star… There’s rumors that making a wish on them will help it come true.” Xiao hummed in response, eyes closed in peaceful tranquility. “Hm…”
You pulled your knees closer to you as you contemplated your wish. Xiao watched you with one eye open, observing the way your features subtly scrunched up as you profoundly debated within you what your wish would be.
“So.”
“So?”
“What did you wish for?” Xiao asked quietly.
Mortal desires were usually the same. Wealth, power, lavish items— these wishes Xiao had heard of many times before. Yet—
“I wished…,” you scratched your cheek sheepishly. “I wished for a restful sleep.”
Your cheeks were quick to flush a deep crimson as you heard what sounded like a chuckle next to you. It dawned on you that you had never heard Xiao laugh until now. It was melodic, innocent.
“D-Don’t laugh!” you halfheartedly admonished with a playful huff. “Well, then— What’s your wish, Xiao?”
He pondered for a moment, closed his eyes and spoke soft as the flitting breeze.
“I wish to get to know you better.”
Perhaps he didn’t have all the right words at that moment, but he was bound to discover them sooner or later. Somehow, he was sure you would be the light that guided him the right way to go about these foreign feelings— feelings he was sure weren’t malignant, so he allowed them to persist.
These unsorted feelings for you... they weren’t getting in the way of anything. They were harmless, until proven otherwise.

May I please request BAD THINGS HAPPEN BINGO, Falling through ice? I thought of this after seeing buck slip on ice and Eddie looked fond/amused?
Tumblr media
Title:
Fandom: 9-1-1
Pairing: Buddie
Prompt: Falling through ice - @badthingshappenbingo
Summary: Buck falls through ice into a freezing lake
“Chris, buddy, this snowman is going to be awesome.” Buck turned to face the boy, having just placed the torso on said snowman. Chris was gathering snow into another ball for the head.
Chris looked up at Buck, but his attention was soon taken away by something behind him. “Buck, Dad, look.” He pointed over Buck’s shoulder, and they all turned to look.
There, on the frozen lake behind them, was a baby deer skidding on the ice. It seemed to be stuck. Buck didn’t even think before taking a step towards it.
“Buck, what are you doing?” Eddie asked, reaching out to place his hand on the other man’s arm.
Buck looked over at Eddie with a smile. “I’m just going to help it off the ice. No doubt Bambi’s mum is out there somewhere waiting for him to come home.”
“Just be careful, ok, we don’t know how thick the ice is and whether it will hold you.”
Buck grinned and took another step towards the deer, taking him out onto the lake. At least he was being cautious, Eddie thought, as Buck tested his weight with one foot on the ice. It held, so he stepped out.
He made it all of two steps before he skidded and fell. Even though Eddie’s heart leapt into his throat, he chuckled when Chris practically cackled in response. The deer, startled by the thud that Buck made, tried to run away but only collapsed as it, too, slipped on the ice.
Buck got to his feet again and carried on towards the animal. He skipped and slipped a couple more times, each time pulling a laugh from Chris, but he remained standing. Then, when he was just a few feet from the deer, he fell again. He crashed hard onto the ice, and then disappeared through it.
Eddie rushed out after him, as fast as he could without risking going through the ice himself and making the whole situation a hundred times worse. “Chris,” he called to his son as he passed him, “go inside and turn the heat up as much as you can. Then get the blankets off of my bed and bring them into the living room.”
Buck has already managed to pull himself through the hole he made and is scrambling across the ice when Eddie reaches him. He’s breathing heavy and Eddie could make out his shaking when he was still several feet away.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, he registered the deer running off the ice and disappearing into the trees.
Eddie helped Buck to his feet, almost completely supporting him, and they crept their way off the ice and back onto solid ground. Once they reached it, they were able to move faster to back to their cabin.
Eddie wasted no time starting to strip Buck out of his clothes once they were inside. Buck batted his hands away. “Stop, it’s cold.”
“I know, Buck, we’re gonna get you warm soon, but your clothes will only make you colder, so we need to get them off.” Buck still fought, but luckily he was shaking too hard to manage to put up much of a decent fight.
The moment he was free of the wet clothes, Eddie pushed him onto the sofa and began wrapping him in the blankets that Chris held out to him. The blankets alone wouldn’t be enough to warm Buck up – not fast enough anyway – when he wasn’t producing much body heat on his own. So, Eddie ran out to his car, dug around in the first aid kit for a foil blanket and brought that inside.
Buck was reluctant to release his grip on the blankets for long enough for Eddie to climb in behind him and wrap them both in the foil blanket with the others on top. Buck relaxed against him, as much as his trembling muscles would allow.
Gradually, he warmed up and the shaking slowed down to nothing. Eddie didn’t try to get out from next to him… he wasn’t ready to yet. He just wanted to hold Buck for a little while longer.
“Feeling better, now?”
Buck nodded and gathered the blankets, and Eddie’s arms around him, tighter to his body. “Yeah, thanks.”

Valentine’s Day with BNHA
A/N: I know it’s late for Valentine’s Day, but this is about the fifth time I’ve tried posting this because every other time it never got a single note even though all of my other stuff does pretty well??? So not to be that person, but if you see this I’m begging you to give it some love because it’s one of my favorites!
*DISCLAIMER*: As I’m over eighteen, I write all underaged characters aged up to be eighteen or older.
Contains: As always, sickly-sweet fluff; gender-neutral
Characters Included: Todoroki Shoto, Bakugou Katsuki, Yaoyorozu Momo, Shigaraki Tomura, Dabi/Todoroki Touya, Aizawa Shota
Valentine’s Day with...
Bakugou Katsuki
As expected, Bakugou thinks that Valentine’s Day is kind of ridiculous and isn’t too keen on celebrating
When his friends ask him what he’s planned for the holiday, it results in a bit of a rant
“Valentine’s is a shitty holiday for shitty partners to try and make up for being shitty. I take them on dates and spoil them all the time, so why should I make a big deal about a random day in February?”
But because he wasn’t a shitty partner, he knows he has to do something for you
“Oi, do you want to go hiking?” he asks shortly on Valentine’s morning, already dressed for the occasion. “We can go to that spot you’ve wanted see for a while.”
You agree- eagerly.
You honestly weren’t the biggest fan of hiking until you started dating Bakugou, who’s obsessed with it
It’s like meditation to him- one of the best ways for him to find a calm and clear mindset- and the two of you always have your best conversations when you’re out on a hike
Plus he looks amazing in his hiking clothes
The trail in question is further outside the city than most, and when you arrive, it’s pleasantly deserted
With backpacks swung over your shoulders, the two of you start down the rough path, which cuts through a thick forest
When you first started hiking, you could barely keep up with Bakugou, but you had gotten much better at it over time and are now able to comfortably keep pace with him, even holding his hand part of the time
The trail is mainly uphill, though, and periodically he will all but force a water bottle into your hands
“Get a drink. I don’t want you getting all dehydrated on me.”
When you reach the peak of the trail, which is a flat clearing overlooking the city below, Bakugou indicates for you to sit down and pulls out two bento boxes that he had packed prior to the event
Though there’s nothing heart-shaped nor unnaturally red or pink inside, the box is sweetly filled with all of your favorite bento foods
And of course, they all taste amazing
“Katsuki, this is so good!”
“I know.”
“Come on.” You playfully push his arm, feeling his muscles rippling beneath his jacket. “Seriously, though, thank you. Life has been so crazy lately, and this little break was perfect.”
“So you’re not upset we didn’t do anything more, I don’t know...” he trails off, furrowing his brow and running a hand through his hair, “...on theme?”
“Of course not. Stuff like that is for shitty partners who use a holiday as an excuse to make up for being shitty. They’ll go right back to their behavior the moment the day is over.” You interlace your fingers in his and hold his arm with your free hand. “This was perfect.”
Bakugou can’t resist a smirk and short chuckle at your sentiment, realizing exactly why he’s with you
“Hey, what’s that look for?”
“Nothing.” He shakes his head. “Kiss.”
You reach up and press your lips to his, and his arms wrap around your body, holding you close
When you pull away, you cast a glance out at the tranquil cityscape below and reluctantly check the time.
“Do you think we should head back down?” you ask.
“No. I want to stay here a little while longer.”
Todoroki Shoto
As one of the top heroes, Todoroki Shoto is a hard man to get alone, but you have high hopes for Valentine’s Day.
On the morning of February 14, the two of you check into the luxury hotel he had booked for a romantic staycation, awaiting an entire day of activities planned around the resort: lunch and dinner reservations, a couple’s massage, seeing the hotel’s nightly show...
Only for it to all be completely foiled before it even starts when Shoto gets an urgent call about a villain incident gone badly wrong, with as many heroes as possible desperately needed to help.
“Go ahead and do everything we had planned,” he urges as he’s leaving, rushing through a parting kiss. “I’ll be right back.”
But you know that it’s not going to be as simple as “I’ll be right back.”
The moment the door shuts behind him, you can’t help but turn on the TV and flip to the news, trying to find out just what Shoto had gotten himself into
The danger of the situation makes you sick with anxiety, and you have to turn it off almost immediately for the sake of your own sanity
Trying to follow his wishes, you go through the motions of the day you had planned, but instead of reaping the intended benefits of rest and relaxation, your brain is completely clouded with worry for Shoto’s safety
Which is only amplified when the hotel lobby has the news on with a crowd of people clumped together before it to see what’s going on, and the receptionist approaches you to ask if you’re alright
Dark falls with no sign of Shoto, but your heart leaps when you get the news notification that the battle is over
You turn the news back on for live coverage of the heroes that participated being interviewed about the events, but your stomach knots once again when you see no sign of Shoto
They haven’t mentioned any casualties, you wonder, but have they missed him or something?
When a knock echoes throughout the room, a cold feeling of dread washes over your body
You freeze and merely stare at the door, sure you’re about to receive the news that’s the worst nightmare of any partner of a hero
Until the door opens, and reveals Shoto holding a bouquet the size of his torso, looking a bit battered but otherwise alright
You launch yourself across the room, and he drops the flowers to engulf you in his arms
“God, Shoto,” you sob. “No matter how long I’ve been with you, waiting and worrying never gets any easier.”
“I know, I know,” he murmurs back, stroking your hair. “But I’m here now. I’m fine. I ran here the moment I could get away.”
When you finally allow him to pull away, he hands you the flowers, and you call room service for a vase and a first-aid kit
You sit Shoto on the bed and tend to his minor wounds, then order some of your favorite comfort foods for a very late dinner
Shoto is never one to discuss his missions right after the fact, so instead you just talk about nonsense things, like the most recent episode of your favorite show to watch together, and where the two of you wanted to go on your next vacation
Afterward, the two of you lay in the dark, so tangled together that it’s nearly impossible to tell who’s whom
Neither of you are tired at all, realizing fully that the privilege of getting to hold each other like you are was almost taken away that day
You feel your eyes start to well up at just how much you love the man next to you, realizing how much you need him
Shoto seems to sense that you’re going to a dark place, so he traces his fingers lightly against your cheek and breaks the silence.
“I forgot to tell you. I extended our stay here so we can still celebrate like we were planning to. I’m sorry I had to go today.”
“Shoto, you don’t have to be sorry.” You cup his cheek back, a few tears spilling out of your eyes as they meet his. “I’m just so glad you’re safe and that you’re here with me.”
Yaoyorozu Momo
Recently, an adorable little paint-your-own-pottery studio had opened on yours and Momo’s route home
You two had always meant to go for a fun date, but never really had the time, so when a Valentine’s event is announced, you both leap at the opportunity and reserve your spots right away
When Valentine’s Day arrives, you and Momo show up half an hour early for the event, wearing coordinating shades of red and pink
Laughing at your accidental matching, the two of you kill the time until the event begins by taking a million photos together
When the doors to the shop open and you’re finally allowed in, Momo’s eyes nearly pop out of her head in excitement, and you just know it’s going to become a regular date spot for the two of you
The shop is decorated like a romantic tea shop straight out of a cheesy movie, with lace doilies marking work stations, faux roses as centerpieces, and red, white, and pink balloons covering the ceiling
The special event involves painting spindly teacups with handles shaped like hearts, the workstations supplied with punch and sweets, all colored and shaped for the holiday
“Look at these!” She exclaims, picking up the ceramic cup at her workstation. “What should we paint on them?”
“Why don’t we do a matching design?” you suggest. “That way we can remember this even better.”
“Yes, let’s do that!” she agrees. “What design should we do, then?”
You two decide to keep it simple: paint the mugs solid baby pink, stamp tiny red hearts all around, and then Momo would use her elegant handwriting and paint both of your initials in calligraphy on one of the faces.
You ready your stations and sit shoulder-to-shoulder as you work, chatting and giggling the entire time, occasionally nudging each other playfully with your legs
“Could you hold the cup at this angle for me while I do the calligraphy?” she requests, which gives you an excuse to sit even closer to her, the scent of her rosy perfume engulfing you
“I wish I had handwriting like that,” you whine, watching her paint the graceful swirls of your initials, followed by the date below.
“I can teach you,” she offers, coming to stand behind you. “Here.”
She puts her hand over yours, and guides it along in the shape of the letters, her free arm looping around the front of your shoulders in a casual hug
“See? You’ve done it!”
“It still doesn’t look nearly as good as yours.”
“Well, my heart stamps don’t look nearly as good as yours. I don’t think I applied enough pressure.” She returns to her own seat, stares at you for a few moments, then giggles. “Speaking of, you’ve got paint on your face. Come here.”
You lean forward so she can wipe off the paint with a gentle touch, and she places a kiss on the now-clean spot.
“There. All better.”
When the two of you finish painting the mugs, you turn them into the counter so they can be finished in the kiln, then sit by the window of the shop to enjoy your sweets while you wait
“I’m very excited about these cups,” Momo says, reaching out for your hand. “They’ll be a lovely little keepsake.”
“Me, too,” you agree, resting your head on her shoulder. “It’ll be nice to have tea in them every evening.”
“Exactly. And if there’s ever a time when we have to be separated, whether it be for hero work or some other reason, we can bring our cups with us to remember that the other is always there, waiting to come have tea together.”
Shigaraki Tomura:
Despite his villainous ideals, in romance, Shiggy is actually quite sweet, if not a little clumsy
When you first became close to him, his unhealthy lifestyle and lack of self-care worried you, so you made a habit of cooking for Shigaraki, and leaving a week’s worth of nutritious meals in the League’s fridge for him
He had never revealed this to you, but he appreciated it so much, and wanted to return the favor
When Toga mentioned something about Valentine’s Day, he knew that it was his perfect opportunity, and made his plans by ordering everyone of the League to get out and stay out for the night
He then did some research about something good to make you, wracking his brain to try and remember what you’ve mentioned liking, until he remembers a very important fact:
He can’t cook.
At all.
Has never even once tried.
Which poses an obvious problem.
He panicked for a few moments, until he landed on a new, and possibly better, idea
When you arrive for the date, dressed comfortably (because, as much as you love Shigaraki, you know that there’s no way you’ll be going out for Valentine’s Day), you’re a little bit surprised to find him standing in the kitchen
“Shiggy?” You approach the counter warily. “What are we doing tonight?”
“I can’t cook. I want to know how.”
“You want me to teach you how to cook?”
“Yes. I want to know how to make your favorite meal.”
“Okay. That’s simple enough.” You make to join him in the kitchen, but he blocks your path.
“No. I want to make this for you. Just sit down and...tell me what to do.”
That proves to be quite a bit more difficult, as you never truly understood just how hard it would be to explain cooking to someone that has never used more than a microwave before
The music you had put on in the background was quickly drowned out by his frustrated swears, and you can tell that there are times when he almost loses his temper, but holds it together for the sake of your Valentine’s gift
A couple of utensils do fall victim to his decay, though, and he subtly tries to sweep the remains away in embarrassment.
At one point, his poor knife technique leaves a decently sized cut on his finger, and you jump into action, running for a First-Aid kit
“I’m not a child,” he mutters as you clean the small wound, avoiding your eyes.
“I know,” you reply lightly, pressing a playful kiss to the bandage you had just secured.
As Shigaraki comes close to finishing the meal, you raid Kurogiri’s stores for your favorite bottle of wine, pouring two glasses and setting them out on the table.
“Does this look right?” Shigaraki asks once the final timer goes off, warily holding out his creation.
“You tell me,” you answer. “I’ve made this for you before. It looks the same to me.”
When the two of you sit down and portion out the meal, Shigarki neglects his own plate as he watches you take your first bite
You fight to keep your face neutral, because honestly, it’s god awful, even though you had been right there the whole time, telling him exactly what to do
But you really didn’t expect anything more from a first time-cook, and even though the flavor is completely wrong, you still enjoy it, because you can practically taste how much this prickly mass-murderer actually cares for you
And as twisted as your situation is, you wouldn’t change it for the world
“Is it good?” Shigaraki mumbles from across the table, pulling you from your thoughts.
You take a sip of your wine. “Thank you so much, Tomura. This was such a thoughtful gift. I really appreciate it.”
“I knew it. It’s shit.” He pushes his own plate away in frustration. “I just wanted to pay back a favor and I can’t even do that right.”
“Shig, what did I just say? I appreciate this so much.” You round the table to his seat, rubbing his shoulders and planting a kiss on the top of his head. “Of course your first attempt doesn’t work. But that gives us something new to do together. For tonight, we’ll order some takeout, but starting tomorrow, I’ll give you another cooking lesson, and then another, and another, and another... as many as it takes until you can make a whole meal for me by yourself. Deal?”
He meets your gaze with a puppy-dog expression, placing his palms over where your hands rested on his chest.
“Deal.”
Dabi/Todoroki Touya:
Let’s just say that Dabi isn’t one to ignore traditions.
He’s one to very openly and dramatically oppose them.
You were anxious if not a little worried to see what he was going to have planned for Valentine’s Day- but, honestly, as his partner, you’re equally as unconventional in your own ideals
And he doesn’t disappoint, coming home with tickets to a ghost tour at the most haunted spot in town.
“Do they even do these on Valentine’s Day?”
“Obviously. That’s when I got the tickets for.” He shrugs. “Apparently it’s a thing that people do.”
“Hopefully not very many people. You know how we hate crowds.”
“And hopefully it’s not overtly themed for this asinine holiday.” He takes your waist and whispers the next words in your ear. “The idea of a dark room and an invisible audience is romantic enough.”
“Oh, stop it.”
“I just made you more excited, didn’t I?”
“You’ll have to wait until the day to find out.”
When Valentine’s Day arrives, you dress for the occasion and meet Dabi at a glamorous hotel in an older part of town
Before the tour begins, the guide allows the guests to go to the bar for some drinks, and begin to tell the story of the hotel and the paranormal activity that had sparked the attraction
Dabi seems uninterested, taking in the architecture of the historic buidling and peering down random hallways
“I’m getting bored of this,” he mutters in your ear. “I’m ready to see something interesting.”
“Shh, Dabi, I’m trying to listen,” you whisper back.
He responds by pinching your ass. “So, are you in a naughty mood tonight? Noted.”
“Stop it,” you mutter, lightly pushing him away, but your flushed skin is a dead giveaway to how you truly feel about the situation.
When the tour actually starts, you and Dabi round out the end of the group as it descends into a long, dark hallway.
Eventually, you feel Dabi’s hand leave its spot around your waist, but you’re so distracted listening the tour guide tell stories at the front to even notice.
Until cold hands grab you from you behind and give you a violent shake, growling animalistically in your ear
You let out a terrified scream, but the laugh that comes after is all-too-familiar
“Dammit, Dabi!” you gasp, doubling over to your breath and quiet your heartbeat.
“Aha.” His hands trail down your sides and squeeze your waist. “Gotcha.”
You eventually reach the main event of the tour, which is an old storeroom that had been unused for years due to the intense paranormal activity
Dabi actually stood still next to you with his arm slung around your shoulders, interested for the first time that night as the guide used the ghost box and actually got answers from the spirits that occupied the room.
Though there are a few times when you have to stop him from pulling some prank to scare the other people taking the tour, trying to convince them that they’re actually in immediate danger of possession
When the event is over, however, and the guide is ushering people back down the hallway, Dabi pulls you into a closet, igniting a small flame on his palm and pressing a finger to his lips
When the noise of the crowd filing out is gone, he presses forward forcefully and starts to bury you in deep, passionate kisses
“Wait, wait.” You pull back once you realize what his idea is. “Isn’t this a little...scary?”
“Isn’t that what makes it fun?”
Aizawa Shota
Valentine’s Day happened to fall around one of Aizawa’s busiest times at UA, and he was so tied up and tired that you had barely seen one another lately.
So, when he remembers what’s coming up and drowsily asks you what you want to do for Valentine’s Day, you surprise him.
“I’ve already made plans for us,” you reveal, handing him a printed itinerary. “I booked us a spot at a day spa. Those are all the treatments we’ll be doing.”
“Why’d you choose this? I’m curious.”
“You need some time to relax, and I want to spend time with you when your mind is on something other than which one of your students is going to get broken next.”
“Fair enough.”
On the morning of, the two of you check into the spa, and are instructed to go change into the fluffy bathrobes they provided
“Do I really have to put this on?” he complains, holding it as one might hold a dirty diaper.
“What’s wrong with it?” you ask, already changed into yours.
“I don’t know how I feel about my chest being out on display like this.”
“Well, I’ll like it.” You snake your hand up his shirt and rake your nails down his skin. “C’mon. We’re going to be late for our couple’s massage.”
Once Aizawa has reluctantly changed, the two of you start off your day with massages and facials
You had arranged for him to get a special eye treatment, and the small sounds of relief from his table reveals that your gift is very much appreciated.
“Are you relaxed?” you inquire as you move on from the massage room to your next destination.
“More relaxed I’ve been since I stepped through the doors of UA for the first time.”
“Well, are you relaxed enough to get a hair treatment?”
“Honestly? Bring it on.”
When Aizawa is laying back in a chair, a towel wrapped around his head and a styling cape draped over his robe, you can’t help but snap photos of the slightly comical scene
“Are you taking pictures?” he grumbles.
“Do you mind that I am?”
“Just as long as my students never see it.”
“Noted,” you reply, adding the photo to an album of embarrassing pictures you planned to show them at the end of the term.
After finishing the hair treatment- Aizawa’s hair looking better than you could ever dream yours would- and moving on to a high-tech infrared light treatment, you finished out the day with a soak in the spa’s top-rate onsen, reserved for just the two of you
You sit in comfortable silence in the hot water, bodies pressed close to each other
Shota’s arm was draped around your shoulder, and you loosely held the hand that fell across your body
When you lay your ear on his chest, you notice that his heartbeat is the calmest you’ve ever heard it
“So, did the spa serve its purpose?” you ask, tilting your head up to gaze at him.
“It did. Though I think it was less the spa’s doing, and more the fact that I spent an entire day with you.”
You hum happily, reaching up and tapping his chin. “Nice and well rested now, are you? You sure look pretty.”
He chuckles lightly, running a hand through your hair. “So do you.”
“Well, there’s still about an hour left until our dinner reservation,” you observe, noticing the clock on the wall. “Is there anything you want to do to kill the time before then?”
“We’re both sitting in hot water, naked,” he replies matter-of-factly. “The answer should be obvious.”
