Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my kitten... she was a little black cat called Pelosina (means little furball) and she was the sweetest most cuddly cat I've ever known. She already had issues with her kidneys since we got her and recently it suddenly got a lot worse and there was nothing we could do to save her.... she was still so young. It hits me especially hard since a few months ago we already lost our older cat to cancer, she was a calico called Lady. She was also very sweet and very lady-like in her behavior. I miss them both dearly I hope you take good care of them and that they know I and the rest of the family love them a lot

Fuck Apple. Fuck all ai. Just saw that commercial for Apple ai with the bloke and his chocolate pudding. The ai will change the tone of your words. It will put words into your mouth. Click the “friendly” button and suddenly your angry pudding rant is all nice and polite. So now we don’t even have to count to ten, or save as a draft so we can think about it for ourselves. And would it be so bad if you click send on an email telling stupid shits not to steal your pudding? It’s just so fucking unnecessary.

We might not know which came first — the chicken, or the egg — but when it comes to chocolate chips and their namesake cookie, the history is well-documented, and it might not be what you think. Chocolate chips actually came after the chocolate chip cookie, and despite their ubiquity, are likely younger than your grandmother (they were first marketed in 1940!). Legend has it that the chocolate chip cookie was a happy accident, born when baker ran out of baker’s chocolate and opted for semi-sweet instead.

The recipe spread like wildfire, and after a few years of selling their semi-sweet chocolate bars with a chopping tool (for easy chunking of the bar), Nestlé went one step further by introducing chocolate “morsels” to the world. With such a history, and with so much mass appeal, it’s no surprise that this kitchen delight deserves celebration, and that’s why, on May 15, we’ve got National Chocolate Chip Day.
