I stole from the show Sweet Tooth and my niece/nephews call me Pubba now.

I don't like a lot of GN aunt/uncle terms. But I was like.. if Pibling is (P)arent's s(ibling).. Bubba is a [masc-leaning] term of endearment for "brother".. so why not (P)arent's B(ubba). Pubba. And it's cute as fuck.

Plus it's really funny cause my Older sibling is NB, and their "parent" term ended up being "Poopaa". It was a joke at first.. but it's been like 4-5 years now and that's just who they are. So together we're Poopaa and Pubba and if that's not sibling goals, idk what is.

We need more gender-neutral honorifics

So Richard Fox (Pubba) and Birdie (Mumma), of course have animal names, which is pretty perfect as the parents of the first hybrid kid.

Aimee Eden runs the preserve, a garden of eden for the hybrids who can't live anywhere else in the world without persecution.

Then we have Tommy Jepperd, Big Man, who above all else is quintessentially human. He's the good and the bad of humanity. He hunted and killed, but he was fueled by the pain of losing his family. He wants to be a good person but he'll do everything to resist it.

Bear and Tiger, along with the rest of the animal army, are interesting to me. They have human names, but they've abandoned them to take on the persona's of the hybrids they protect. As the last generation of humans, they hate humanity for what they did to the world and want to be the next evolution. But Bear eventually returns to being Becky, because at the end of the day she can't escape who she is.

Now the Abbotts, well, they're the leaders of a cult, followed by scores of monks desperate for answers to a world that doesn't make sense, and a purpose in this new society. Douglas is an abbot of a dying religion, and Johnny wants nothing more than to follow him, even though he knows its wrong.

Sweet Tooth tells us that their names are important when we discover that Gus is an acronym for Genetic Unit Series 1, but the meanings go so much deeper than that

...But I do like to match Pubba... Lydee bought me a hoodie with stripes on it like Pubba's jacket and she patched bugs on my jeans when I ripped the knees out and while Pubba never said it she says it makes him happy when I wear them, so I do, cause I like when Pubba is happy.

At The end of the season i was really worried abour Jepp dying because 1) i love his character so much and because 2) those kids and ESPECIALLY Gus and Becky need an adult to rely on because the hybrids had Aimee for the longest time but Becky was alone ever since her parents died from the sick and Gus after Pubba's death was thrown into a role he never should have Been in the first place any kid should never be scared they are gonna be killed and expirianted on only because they were born "wrong" never should have to sacrifice and put his health on line to protect others (the way he was protecting the kids from last men there was no way of knowing What they would do to him) and never should have Been responsible for saving the world and im so glad they didnt take away one adult he could rely one they didnt take his dad from him again
