Actually kind of love the idea of Crystal growing old beside the boys. What a journey it would be, her relationship to them changing and deepening as she matures and grows, experiencing things they never have or will. I mean, I see a lot of the default assumption that it would cause her pain to get old while they stay young, but I think that comes from the same place as all youth-worship/age-terror and it doesn't ring true to me. The inverse of that hurt in the boys, where they watch her grow up and live a life they'll never have, is much, much sadder. Crystal is not Esther, and my guess is the older she gets (and finds out what that actually means beyond getting crow's feet) the more acutely she'll feel the tragedy of Edwin and Charles' lives being cut short.

They'd eventually be older than each other in various ways. The boys with more time on earth, Crystal with more lived experience. The boys with more investigative experience, Crystal with more practical wisdom. There would be so many overlapping, swirled together dynamics, richer and deeper and more intricate as years pass.

The boys getting a front-row seat to what it means to travel through time, Crystal experiencing the strange way time travels past the boys. Adventuring with them keeps her young, walking through life with her keeps them dynamic, connected to the living world.

And then Charles and Edwin would have to face her death. The pain of loving something that doesn't last forever, losing it, and then carrying their ever-shifting grief, the way memories become a presence, how they change and fade and turn to gold. And what an inescapably human experience that is. What an elemental part of life.

eddie needs to be held up by buck's big beefy arms and slammed against a wall whilst kissed so tenderly it brings tears to his eyes and then buck gets a little teary eyed too and they both whisper i love you at the exact same time before buck peppers every inch of eddie's face with soft kisses. this has now been prescribed to him by a myriad of professionals including a cardiologist, a therapist, his captain and a priest!

Shared my headcanon, but it is a little deeper than what I said before.

There is no way xavier would have fallen so hard for a girl he met two days ago.

And there is also no way he would have fallen so hard for her because of the childhood memory of them meeting in a funeral...

Xavier must've been thinking and dreaming about Wednesday since she saved his life....

Everyone keeps forgetting that he is a psychic too, and that he has visions in the form of "dreams": ( this creature has been haunting my dreams for the past couple of weeks)

Xavier having recurrent dreams about this goth girl who saved his life and left him fascinated with her, is the most logical theory about the show.

There is more: xavier isn't just dreaming ( having visions) about Wednesday because of the past, he is dreaming about her because of the future...

His visions tell him that he will meet Wednesday again and they will fall in love with each other... but he is careful and doesn't want to hope too much ( since he believes psychic visions can't be trusted)

For a long time, as a child and young teen, Xavier thought he only sees visions of her because she saved him, and he has a crush on her...

( visions are triggered by emotion)

But when Wednesday arrived for real to his school... his hopes exploded, and he fell hopelessly in love with her...
