I saw someone mention biting Mitsuhide, and I just want to say, I think he'd be into it.
He thinks he's a villain, a monster, who is undeserving of nice things. It's obvious he has a thing for self denial and finding ways to punish himself for his perceived misdeeds.
I think this would play out with him being into edging, S&M. Of course, he literally has a real actual dungeon (for prisoners), and is very aware of pain and pleasure and the things they do to people.
Remember when Hideyoshi snapped and punched him? He laughed.
Yeah, bite him all you want. He's into that shit.

the only proof the field existed series by @nonagethimus/morian
"So, this… look you're going for," Lucius starts, testing the waters.
Blackbeard stares at him with vacant eyes. Jesus. Lucius is viscerally reminded of the man's dead-eyed look before he pushed him overboard.
"Does it feel like the right choice for you? Are we happy with it?"
"Do you have a fever?" Blackbeard asks, voice hoarse.
Lucius cocks his head and says, "Don't think so. Do I look hot?" He winks.
Blackbeard lifts his hand and presses his fingers roughly against Lucius' forehead.
"What are you—"
"No fever," Blackbeard grunts and draws back. "Good. Didn't want to cut off your fucking hand."
Lucius drawls, "I'm touched."
Or: Lucius survives. For better or for worse.

So! While watching Our Flag Means Death I wasn’t particularly interested in reading fic for it, however this author is brilliant and I have enjoyed a lot of his fics, so I had to read this series! Some wonderful character studies, the first fic focusses on Lucius and the next focusses on Edward. The voices of both characters were captured beautifully, and I am so grateful to be able to reread these fics in hardcover.
It is an A6 size book with a cutout, and I was hugely inspired by bythecrow on instagram and their books. One day I will have the courage to do some embroidery! Today is not that day lol. Colours chosen because of the wonderful outfits contained within the show, and because they are just FUN. The cover design and the endpapers are a printed William Morris design, which I think was done in the century after the show is set, but with the way the characters talk in the show, I’m sure it’s fine!

What the fuck is wrong with you? Why do you ship two clearly straight teenagers? Do you forget they are minors? And your making up all this disgusting stuff about them? There are CHILDREN who watch Stranger Things, we don't need another gay couple. There are so many gay characters it's ridiculous. If you ship byler you belong in jail with the rest of the pedophiles.
im not even gonna dive into this
But let this speak for itself, wtf are milevens so heated about? Let us make our art and write our fanfics in peace.

love love LOVE hearing carlos slander actually. because it is ALWAYS factually wrong! it's so fun. you say he makes too many mistakes when charles made just as many. you say he's an average driver when he's been consistently best of the rest since 2019. you say he's not as talented as his teammates when he's beaten them since 2016. you say he's got no race pace nor racecraft when he's at the top of the standings for most overtakes and at the bottom for most times overtaken in this season. you say he's got no quali pace when he and max are the only drivers always getting to q3 this season. you say the tifosi don't love him when he got chants and praises both at imola and monza. you say he only goes well because he's favored by the team when he has to manage his own strategy during the race. you turn around and say no actually the team hates him and then you see him getting cuddled and cared for. you say he bothers charles and he's a bad teammate then you see him giving a tows in qualis and giving up positions in races and anyone will tell you that they get along and chat chat chat. you say he's jealous and resentful of charles when he's been and openly praising him ever since he met him. and more bla and bla !

It's Fine Press Friday!
For today’s Fine Press Friday post, our subject is Bound for the Goldfields, published by the Australia-based Wayzgoose Press in 1990 in an edition of 55 copies, another gift from the estate of book artist and collector Dennis Bayuzick. The original story was written by Charles Dickens for his weekly journal Household Words in June 1855 and the Wayzgoose edition was designed and illustrated with linocuts and wood engravings by Wayzgoose founder Mike Hudson (1939-2021). Ours is a review copy, meaning that this specific book was originally sent out to someone to be reviewed for publication before it was actually distributed.
According to the title page, the story told in this book is a “true account of a journey from Melbourne to Castlemaine by a carrier of supplies to the goldfields.” A journey like this was long and harrowing, as described in the book’s text, which is printed vertically as part of the grassy landscape, and the wood/linocuts provide an excellent visualization of where the traveler physically is within the story being told. Readers will see many trees as the subject walks through forests, sees the night sky, and even the destination of the traveler as he arrives: the tents of those working in the gold fields.
This book was hand-set by Hudson's long-time partner and Wayzgoose Press co-founder Jadwiga Jarvis (1947-2021) in 14pt Monotype Baskerville and was printed on a Western Proof Press using Mohawk Letterpress Paper. Mike Hudson Bound the edition, 46 copies of which were in printed hessian fabric with leather thongs, as shown here.
