I’ll be honest, it’s similar to my thoughts of Chara. I legitimately have no idea. Every time I think of one option, I think of the other. 

As a woman myself, if a video game character actually acknowledged periods I think that would be really really cool. It’s rare to get that type of media. :(

But I don’t have much opinion on the matter :)

Sticking this on here even tho it's a general Sitewide Problem - I'm sick of people making excuses for retroactively adding more bigotry into tf2. It feels like people are only capable of thinking about marginalized people (especially "in the past") as our suffering, so writing a gay character, or a trans character, or a black character, or etc. must involve them suffering somehow. People go to such fucking lengths to pull hypothetical marginalized people out of their ass who LOVE writing about characters like them experiencing hate crimes as "coping", but In My Opinion your coping should not involve publicly making a bunch of joke characters from a comedy video game get called real slurs that affect people in real life. Even if your point is "bigotry is bad", not every single fucking thing that has a black character or a gay character in it has to be About Bigotry. You all let white characters just be characters, but the minute you wanna put Demo tf2 in your fanfiction you need to take some great stand against racism and choose to do this by portraying him suffering. I don't care if it's to show that Racism Bad - you NEED to learn to love marginalized people more than you hate bigots. Never mind everything I could say about how actually no, it would not be "period accurate to the 1960s" for everyone to constantly be spewing or facing racism and homophobia. Acceptance and taking stands against bigotry aren't new concepts. Your "historically accurate" tf2 fanfic has done absolutely nothing except show a bunch of already marginalized people that our suffering is more important than our joy. In My Opinion

I'm a bit conflicted about getting he/him'd online. Online pronouns in general are a weird thing.

Back when I was a woman, I was pretty insistent on people using she/her, because people would use he/him by default. When strangers immediately used she/her, half of the time they were about to be sexist. (Genuinely had a guy request to talk to a different moderator because I clearly was on my period. Don't miss my moderation days.)

Now I'm fine with any pronouns in theory, and he/him is my favorite of the bunch. But when people use he/him for me now (not counting online friends), it's almost definitely because that's their default. They just assume I'm a guy because everyone's a guy. And what am I gonna do? Correct them? "Hi yes my pronouns are indeed he/him, but not like that"?

There isn't really a pronoun that tells me people have perceived me in all my complexities. Before, she/her would at least be an indicator that I was more than the default Mii to them.

I know there's neopronouns, but they don't feel like something I want for myself. No pronouns is an option, but I know that gets annoying to implement.

So really, I'm fine with any, but you must also submit a 500-word essay on what my gender means to you emotionally, spiritually, and carnally.

I go by he/they and I just started a new job where my manager and I share the same name. I have allowed people to call me by the wrong pronouns because “well if I and my manger both went by He/him pronouns people would get confused. And I know I’m most of these people first experience with they/them pronouns so me being uncomfortable with she/her pronouns they are using is fine”

Cis people who have the same name don’t worry using the same pronouns will confuse people.

Y'know the universe has thrown a lot of things at me but I don't think anything will ever top the experiences i had as a 12 year old roleplaying hetalia.

How do I explain to people that I became best friends with a 14 year old and their boyfriend over a dead art/social media app (Framecast) because I got into hetalia after seeing a poster of it on pinterest and how we became such good friends over the matter of a year that I told them my full legal name, my address, my phone number, and literally facetimed them multiple times

How do I tell people that I used to roleplay the nations of Japan, Hungary, South Italy, Belarus, Hungary, Seychelles, and then my own hetalia oc: Mongolia (Because I am Mongolian and there is no canon mongolia character)

How do I even think about the fact that that best friend made a Malaysia oc and we made them girlfriends and had dramatic roleplays over the fact that gay marriage isn't legal in either country and also had an entire roleplay arc featuring their 2p counterparts (TLDR: 2ps are evil AU versions of hetalia characters) where for some fucking reason my friend wrote a fic and drew art of their oc being raped by their 2p version. And also how we roleplayed our ocs having sex using wattpad messaging

And how the fuck do they deal with the fact that they did so much insanely shitty stuff and then, after I got sick of their shit and blocked them on everything, went on to repeatedly try to text me with new numbers and also went on to write at least 2 different wattpad stories about me???
