Vídeo: La tasa de desempleo juvenil en España
Day 5 of prepolyglot's langblr reactivation challenge
As the title says, this video is about the rate of youth unemployment in Spain. It's an interview with an employment expert. She describes the problem and the public policies that are needed to promote youth employment.
The message of the video wasn't too difficult to understand but there were some words that I didn't know, and I've made a vocabulary list to learn them. Most of all I want to be able to use these words in a conversation, in other words, I want to incorporate them into my active vocabulary.
PS let me know if you spot any errors :)

Langblr Reactivation Challenge
Hello everyone! As you may know I've created this challenge to help revive the langblr community. It's a three week challenge designed to get you back into learning languages and (hopefully) give you ideas on how to study and share your knowledge of them. It is completely optional to do, but try to reblog other people's posts if you aren't participating.
The challenge is designed to be done daily, however if you miss a day, you can go back and do it later or continue from where you left off. I do encourage you to do your best to keep up with the challenge though. Tag your posts with #langblr reactivation challenge so that others can find your posts.
If you have any questions, please send me an ask or a message and I'll do my best to answer it.
I'll put the prompts under a read more so this post isn't ridiculously long. Good luck to everyone participating! Remember the best way to promote the langblr revival is by reblogging other people's work.
Week 1
Day 1: Create an introduction post about yourself. What's your name? What languages are you studying? What languages do you hope to study? What do you hope you'll get out of this challenge? Add whatever else you’d like to your introduction post!
Day 2: Write a list of goals you have for your target languages. Make both long term and short term goals. An overall goal could be to have the ability to talk with native speakers with ease and a smaller goal would be to finally learn that difficult grammar point that's been plaguing you for ages. How will you achieve them?
Day 3: Create a list or a Mindmap of vocabulary topics. Start with a broad topic and narrow down to more specific topics. An example could be bedroom - furniture - closet - clothes or travelling - languages - study words - school supplies. Keep a hold of this because you'll use it later to create vocab to study. Some broad topics to start with: house, school, work, travelling, friends and family, nature, city. Feel free to use these or think of your own. Share your mindmap so others can get some ideas if they need it. Here are some mind map creation tools (x) (x) (x).
Day 4: Create a vocab list for one of the topics you created yesterday, if you want to make more, feel free to make as many as you like! Share your list and reblog other people's lists. And most importantly, make sure you study these words!
Day 5: Find a video in your target language and watch it as many times as you need to in order to understand it. Make a post about the video. What was it about? Did you like the video? Was it difficult to understand? Make sure you link the video. Try to write your answers in your target language, but if you can’t that’s okay!
Day 6: Look up 3 idioms in your target language and explain what they mean and how you use them in a sentence (with an example!).
Day 7: Send asks to other langblrs (bonus points if it's in a shared target language!) asking them about whatever (for example, ask how their day was, ask questions about their target languages, or share some of your thoughts with them). If you receive one, answer it! You can ask more than one person and it can be on or off anon.
Week 2
Day 1: Over the next week, create a playlist/playlists of songs in your target language(s), they can either have a specific mood or genre or they can be a collection of songs you've discovered. When you feel like you're done with your playlist, share it so others can find some new songs. If you already have a playlist, you can add songs to it and update it.
Day 2: Write an explanation on a grammar rule in your target language (such as verb tenses, exceptions, word order, etc). Include sentences to show how and when it is used.
Day 3: Either make a vocab list or find a vocab list you like and make sentences using those words. You can make them as long or as short as you like. This is a good way to contextualise vocab words and learn them in context. Share your sentences and highlight the vocab word.
Day 4: Record yourself reading an article, short story, or passage (basically anything written in your target language). Listen to it and see if you can point out any areas you can improve with your speaking and any areas that you're doing well. You can post your recording if you wish.
Day 5: Post at least 2 songs that you like in your target language. Make sure you add a link to them so people can go listen to them.
Day 6: Share a study tip you have. This can range from how you organize your notes to playlists that help you study to apps you use to review. Just something that you find makes studying easier (and more fun).
Day 7: Share with everyone some langblrs you enjoy seeing on your dash, try to put at least 5 people (and make sure you @ them!).
Week 3
Day 1: Remember that playlist you made/are making? Take a song you really like and make a vocab list of words you don't understand, learned from the song, or recognize but don't quite remember. Post so others can see and link the song. If you have extra time and/or want a bit more of a challenge, translate the song as well, either into English or another language.
Day 2: Write about a festival or holiday that is celebrated in a country that speaks your target language. This can be either something you’ve celebrated yourself, have wanted to participate in, or have never heard of before. You can write this in any language you’d like.
Day 3: Make another vocab list from the list you made at the beginning of the challenge. If you are learning two or more languages, make the vocab list in 3 languages (meaning for example: French, German, and English or Japanese, Arabic, and Ukrainian).
Day 4: Find a recipe written in your target language and translate it into your native language (or another language of your choice) or find a recipe in your native language and translate it into your target language. Bonus points if you actually make it (share pictures if you do)!
Day 5: Create a collection of resources you use to study/learn your target language. Add links to them if possible so others can also use them.
Day 6: Create a post explaining a grammar rule that you had/are having difficulties learning. If you’re currently having difficulties, do your best to explain and ask others to help you understand it better. Include example sentences in your explanation.
Day 7: How do you feel at the end of this challenge? Did you meet any goals while doing this? Do you feel more confident in your language abilities? Where do you think you'll go from here? Answer these questions either in your native language or your target language.
Hopefully you guys enjoy/enjoyed this challenge. After you've completed the challenge, I encourage you to continue your studies in your target languages and support others in theirs.

I'm taking part in the Langblr Activation Challenge, many thanks to Essi @tealingual for spurring this on!
Week one is introduction. Hello, folks! My name is Will, I live in English-speaking Canada, and my main target language is German, mainly because of family. My other target language is French, because Canada. (Sometimes I encounter non-Canadians who think that every Canadian is perfectly fluent in English and French—although I think this is an older stereotype—and it always makes me laugh. Walk into a store where I live speaking French and the poor shop assistants will look at you like deer in headlights. Anyway.)
I'm genderqueer and use they/them pronouns in English, and both er and sie pronouns in German and il and elle in French. My favourite colour is red. My favourite music is currently the Everly Brothers, Nina Simone, and Pomme. I really enjoy creative writing (which one might be able to glean from my original posts, haha), and sewing. I play DnD sometimes too. And I love shoes. My first post on this blog was an intro post, so if anyone feels like scrolling back a ways, you can have a look at that!
Next week we'll be promoting other langblrs. Can't wait!

Langblr Activation Challenge Week 2: Langblr Promotion
Week 2: Promote other langblrs. You can promote your favourite langblrs, the langblrs you’re following, the langblrs following you, or just random langblrs you find in the polyglot/languages/langblr/etc. tags. This is a great opportunity to find and help others find new langblrs to follow.
I'm obviously a big fan of @tealingual :D I love the tag challenges she posts, and I think she's historically been a huge part of langblr. I remember that she used to have a lot of posts sharing resources for languages before she moved blogs, and I'm sure she's going to keep posting great stuff!
I also super appreciate @multilingualmarissa for all the memes she posts -- they're hilarious! It's also really valuable to me as a heritage speaker that she talks about her journey relearning Polish.
@fluentdream also has a beautiful blog. It's oriented towards Japanese, which I'm not learning, but the posts they reblog always seem so friendly and nice!

- ̗̀ about me ̖́-
You can call me Iz!
I’m 19 and never learnt to read
I live in the UK! I’m Kentish, but moved to another part of the country for university.
I’ve just completed the first year of my illustration degree. Before that, I did two years of graphic design at college.
I’ve been vegetarian since birth! Both my parents are veggies so I guess I just went along with it lol
I’m left handed ✌
I love llustration! Sasek is my fave, and I enjoy medieval/fantasy stuff like illuminated manuscripts (check out these creatures…)
Local folklore and traditions are great! I like looking at the national dresses of different countries.
I go to a lot of live comedy gigs, and work at comedy festivals during my holidays.
I love the languages of the British Isles, and want to learn as many as I can! Mainly Welsh, but Cornish and Scottish Gaelic too… it makes me so angry when monolingual people in my country mock the indigenous languages so I want to do my bit to learn and promote them to others.
Ethnography, specifically about fan cultures are chef’s kiss excellent.
- ̗̀ why studyblr? ̖́-
I’m about to start an intensive summer school course learning welsh! It’s supposed to give me A1 proficiency at the end of six weeks, and I want to get the most out of it.
I’m bad at self-studying because I can only work well when I’m held accountable. Going to use studyblr as a way to keep me motivated!
Online studying can be good, but I miss the community of a physical school. Hopefully I can make some study friends here~
- ̗̀ my goals ̖́-
A1 welsh by september
A2 welsh by next spring
100 days of productivity
Start a bujo!
Post vocab lists and share aesthetic learning resources
Promote celtic languages!

After a good... I'm gonna say 6 ish years on this app, I'm deciding to delete the app but not deactivate my account(s). That being said, I won't be as active on Tumblr anymore but maybe once or twice a year I'll log back in on a laptop to see if anything new happened.
I started this account in maybe around 3 years ago in high school and now I find myself busy as a sophomore in college. This happens to be my most, for lack of a better term, popular account. I get the most likes and reposts from this account lately so it kinda sucks that I'm not continuing Tumblr when this is an account that can still gain some popularity? If that makes sense? I also maybe haven't used Duolingo in maybe a year so I'm lowkey a hypocrite for running a langblr account oops. Idk, but I will say that it's been quite a ride for all of my other tumblr accounts and I don't regret any of it. I don't hate Tumblr but I'm just too preoccupied with other apps and life in general to keep this app on my phone when I can free up space by deleting it. That being said, I have other accounts on other sites if you want to check out my stuff or follow me. My other 3 accounts will also not be as active anymore.
Twitter: @.shtpostcntral69 no period (Worm on a String Thoughts) ((yes, I made a post about this earlier but it was me lowkey trying to promote my own account oops))
Tik Tok: @.shutthefckup69 no period (I make art and horse mask vids and dumb stuff with a phone that has a crappy android camera)
Etsy: SpicyMemeShop (I make Baby Thanos earrings and earrings out of other random things but I plan on making more stuff, maybe even worm on a string type stuff)
Instagram: amzarj_18 (I barely post on here so only follow if you feel you absolutely need to I guess lol)
If you need to find or contact me then use these I guess but idk why you'd have to. I'm more or less copy and pasting this same text post to my other accounts. This feels like a really sad breakup lol but hey, I gotta make space on my phone for more memes. It's been fun, peace out Tumblr homies!!!!!

The Langblr Directory is looking for new blogs!
The Langblr Directory is a project of mine where I list active langblrs in order to help foster and develop the langblr community. You can list what languages you post in and what kind of content you post, and so then anyone looking for blogs around those languages can easily find you!
When I first joined langblr I was constantly coming across great blogs that were sadly no longer active and I was just struggling in general to find blogs dedicated to the language I want to learn. Which is where this idea comes from.
With the Langblr Directory, you can submit your blog to be listed for free, which then means that people can easily find your blog and check you out. Hopefully, it will also encourage people to check out other languages and will help smaller langblr communities really grow and flourish.
There is no minimum follower requirement, you don’t need your account to be of a certain age, you don’t even need to make your own original content. You just need to be a blog that’s dedicated in some way to language learning.
As the Langblr Directory grows, I hope that I can then use it as a means of promoting any of your tutoring services or language exchange requests. But for right now, all you need to do is fill out a very quick form and I’ll add your blog to the directory
To get added to the Langblr Directory, just read the rules and submit here: https://langblrdirectory.tumblr.com/submit
Be sure to also share this post so other people can find out about the Directory and make use of it!
