decided on doing a split hem and folding down the collar. this does still need to be blocked and have the ends woven in but otherwise it's done and i am suuuuper happy with it for being a pretty impulsive cast on to use up some scraps.
lily sheer top by irene lin
yarn: drops kid-silk in lemonade
using up leftovers from my champagne cardi! that's literally all i'm doing with this lol. it's turning out cute but mostly i just didn't want to put the leftovers back into my stash so just knitting this to whatever length it'll get to with what's left. loved the construction of this top tho and would definitely knit it again.

Celeste is an OC created by @nocasdatsgay. She features in From The Ashes the Wild Flowers Will Grow.
She's a Spring Court native, gentle and playfully teasing. She worries a lot about Eris when Beron is still alive but is not above being passive agressive when someone angers her.
“Sorry, what?” You blinked, cupping a hand around your ear as to blame your lack of response on the volume and not you spacing out.
The stranger’s smile never faltered, long… patterned? Hair falling down around his face. It was like… A highlighted mix of light blond and stark black. Weird.
“Your tattoo! So sorry to bother you, I just had to compliment them!” A flick of the wrist and they pointed towards your neck, to which your hand followed. You couldn’t help but rub the collar of stars patterned around your throat, a sun and moon on either side, appreciative but somewhat self conscious of the tattoo you’d gotten a couple years prior.
“Oh! Thanks, yeah it’s like… Built in accessories, you know?” You offered a shy smile, sipping your drink as a means of distracting from your nerves. The guy wasn’t invading your space or anything, if anything they were keeping their distance. So far so good.
“That is such a good idea! I should get something like that.” He grinned brightly, reaching for the pendant that hung low around his neck and offering it for you to see.
A stylized sun. It looked as though the one half was made from opalite, or some other shimmering white stone, where the other half of the sun was a lovely gold, matching little rays around it. His thumb pulled over one of the rays and suddenly the whole piece shifted, the gold half of the sun and its rays tucking away inside to reveal a deep blue half, contrasting against the white other side… It was the Moon!
“Oh wow. That’s such a cool necklace!! Where did you get it?” You stared in awe at the piece as they flipped it back to the sun setting and leaned a hand on their hip with a smile.
“It was made for me!” He tilted his head in consideration of his words. “A gift, I guess!”
hey i started a fanfic for the first time in like 10 years
in which sun and moon not only share a robot body but a human one at the same time.

champagne cardigan by petiteknit (off gauge)
yarn: drops heart you 7 and drops kid-silk both in lemonade
counting this one as done! it just needs to be blocked and to have buttons added which i'll do this week. this could've been done way earlier in the month but i kept putting off finishing the second sleeve cuff.
cosine ripple baby blanket by sam godden
yarn: caron skinny cakes in frosted mint
whipped this up for a coworker who's due in august so that i have plenty of time to get it to her before baby arrives. the pattern was really simple and i think it turned out quite cute!

still plugging away here. still deciding on if i want to do a split hem but leaning towards yes. also thinking i'll probably fold down the collar - i don't think the mock neck suits me.
Unfortunately almost fifteen years later Mirror’s edge still lives in my brain (and catalyst too, I guess 🙄) so I’ve been messing around with semi-redesigns of some of the characters. It’s hard to do much to faith’s look bc she’s perfect already ☺️ but I gave her a few little fun tweaks. The first image of her were little scribbles on how to do 2D animated segments. I was also messing around with celeste’s design bc I love her concept art. Still want to mess with her design more tho. Anyway, all 10-15 mirror’s edge fans that are still around, enjoy (:
