How a Dairy Farming Project Report Ensures Success in Dairy Business
Tumblr media
Dairy farming is one of the most promising business opportunities in India. With the rising demand for milk and dairy products, venturing into this field can be highly rewarding. However, starting a dairy farm requires proper planning and execution. A Dairy Farming Project Report plays an important role in outlining every detail of the business, helping entrepreneurs make informed decisions.
This blog provides an insightful overview of preparing a project report, along with the essentials of starting a dairy farm business.

What is a Dairy Farming Project Report
A Dairy Farming Project Report is a detailed document that provides comprehensive information about the feasibility, cost analysis, and profitability of starting a dairy farm. It includes essential aspects like:
Initial Investment: Land, cattle, infrastructure, and equipment.
Operational Costs: Feed, labor, medical care, and utilities.
Revenue Generation: Milk production, sales of by-products like cow dung and urine, and breeding services.
With a well-structured project report, entrepreneurs can secure bank loans and government subsidies, ensuring a smooth start to their dairy farming business.

Components of a Dairy Farming Business Plan

1. Selection of Dairy Cows
The success of your dairy farm largely depends on the quality of the cows. Breeds like Holstein Friesian, Gir, Sahiwal, and Jersey are popular in India due to their high milk production. Selecting healthy cows with good lactation cycles is essential to maximize output.

2. Farm Infrastructure
A well-structured dairy farm should include:
Cow sheds with proper ventilation and cleanliness.
Feed storage areas for grains and fodder.
Milk collection rooms equipped with chilling tanks.  Investing in modern equipment like automated milking machines can boost efficiency.

3. Feed and Nutrition Management
Balanced nutrition ensures better health and productivity of dairy cows. A mix of green fodder, dry fodder, and concentrated feed is ideal. Regularly monitoring the nutritional intake of cows is crucial for maintaining consistent milk production.

4. Healthcare and Maintenance
Veterinary care is a vital part of a dairy farm business. Periodic vaccinations, routine check-ups, and maintaining hygiene prevent diseases and ensure the longevity of dairy cows.

5. Marketing and Sales Strategy
Once your dairy farm is operational, an effective marketing plan is needed to sell milk and dairy products. Partnering with local vendors, supermarkets, and cooperatives can help establish a reliable customer base.

Dairy Farming in India: Opportunities and Challenges

Opportunities
India is the largest milk producer globally, with a high domestic demand for milk and its by-products. The government also provides subsidies and schemes to support the dairy farming business, such as NABARD loans and the Rashtriya Gokul Mission.

Challenges
Some common challenges include fluctuating milk prices, high feed costs, and limited access to advanced technology. However, with proper planning and efficient management, these hurdles can be overcome.
   ,
Steps to Prepare a Dairy Farming Project Report
Introduction: Define your objectives and vision for the dairy farm.
Market Analysis: Research local demand, competition, and trends in the dairy industry.
Financial Plan: Include details on capital investment, operational costs, and projected earnings.
Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Implementation Plan: Outline the timeline for setting up the farm and achieving milestones.
A well-prepared Dairy Farming Project Report provides clarity and attracts investors and financial institutions.
Conclusion
Starting a dairy farming business is lucrative, especially in India, where dairy products are a staple. With a detailed Dairy Farming Project Report, entrepreneurs can plan every aspect of their business efficiently, ensuring long-term success.
Aspiring dairy farmers can overcome challenges and establish a profitable business by understanding the essentials like cow selection, infrastructure, feed management, and marketing strategies.
With the right approach, dairy farming in India can pave the way for financial growth and contribute to the agricultural economy.

Gem can do spectral projection. The more she did it the longer she could stay in astral form. She would often float upstairs to visit her neighbor even though they can't see her.
Pearl was her upstairs neighbor, they are cordial, but never really had a conversation, beside one disastrous introduction when she moved in. Gem was really sorry for breaking Pearl's potted plants the first time, she apologized on the moment, but only got the door slammed into her face in response.
Gem wanted to mess with Pearl, she'd move Pearl's coffee cup by a few centimeters, or small daily object that she'd use. Pearl's home was always pristine, like all the objects where place in a precise manner, so Pearl would often look confused when she did it. Gem found the expression she made very endearing and continued on a nearly daily basis. Then, one night, Pearl transformed into a wolf. And Gem started keeping an observation dairy of Pearl, and her werewolf traits and quirks.
It's not. The best way to make up for her bad first impression, but Gem thinks she mucked that up a while ago.
She justifies that she's looking after Pearl. It does worry her, because what if Pearl got hurt in her wolf form and nobody was able to help! Gem's also secretly covered for her once or twice - like when she spent the entire night whining at the closed bathroom door and somebody reported her as having a pet. Gem said it was just a movie she happened to be watching!
But now she's noticed Pearl has sticky notes for local exorcists and ghost hunters... Which maybe means it's time to come clean.
Or, something close to it... Ugh, she's really gone and complicated this, huh? Cute girls are her weakness.

hello, if you have time please could you respond to the Guardian article "If you want to save the world, veganism isn’t the answer"? thank you
Ahhh, her again. She does the same thing here as she always does, comparing realistic arable farming solutions to idealised animal agriculture which exists almost nowhere, and is how a vanishingly small minority of anyone’s meat, dairy and eggs are being produced.
She raises points that we are largely all already aware of, that crop farming can be harmful too, which of course also includes the crops that farmed animals are fed on. She touts the old fantasies of 'regenerative grazing' which is a contradiction in terms that has debunked many times over, perhaps most thoroughly in this report.
I think the best response though, is one from George Monbiot in his excellent book Regenesis: Feeding the World Without Devouring the Planet. Monbiot knows Isabella Tree personally, and has done the maths on her own farm:
"Only when livestock numbers fall so far that their husbandry scarcely qualifies as food production is animal farming compatible with a rich, functional ecosystem. For example, the Knepp Wildland project, run by my friends Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrell, where small herds of cattle and pigs roam freely across a large estate, is often cited as an example of how meat and wildlife and can be reconciled (..)"
"If their system were to be rolled out across 10 per cent of the UK’s farmland, and if, as it’s champions propose, we obtained our meat this way, it would furnish each of the people of the United Kingdom with 420 grams per head, enough for around three meals. This means a 99.5 per cent cut in our consumption (…) If all the farmland in the U.K. were managed this way, it would provide us with 75kcal per day (one thirteenth of our requirement) in the form of meat, and nothing else."
As you can see, this is pure fantasy. People point to examples like these despite them being almost unworkable at any kind of scale, and even in these idyllic, thoroughly unrealistic examples, animals are still being bred, exploited and killed unnecessarily.
Yes, plant agriculture has an impact too, but it is far more sustainable and less resource intensive, producing more food using less land. Even if you ignore animal rights entirely (as Tree always does), plant agriculture and alternative proteins are just objectively a better way to feed our population, which ever way you spin it.

Fili/Kili, T

The Yule Protocol
Fili was the first to retire.  That was the official story.  He was only in his forties and had plenty of physical strength and mental fortitude to continue his work as an engineer for his uncle’s firm.  But… he saw a problem on the horizon and was more concerned with protecting his family than continuing to quest for material comforts and professional accolades.  His lifelong interest in history led him to see trends in medicine and global emigration that worried him.
Several years before the Covid-19 pandemic, he identified a threat and went to his uncle with the beginning of a plan.  Fortunately, Thorin trusted Fili’s judgment and funded an engineering project that gave his nephew the ability to create a self-sustaining homestead for their large family.
Rather than build a fortified compound somewhere in the mountains, Fili approached a small island community that was fading away from gentrification and loss of interest in traditional craftsmanship.  Gerontius Took, the local elder-in-charge, assigned his grandson, Bilbo Baggins, to be his representative on the project and protect the values of the community.
Together, Fili and Bilbo led a quiet repurchase of island lands and homes from absent owners who only visited in the summer high season.  They carefully recruited people with interests in fishing, farming, blacksmithing, animal husbandry, beekeeping, cheesemaking and dairy products, desalination, woodworking, plumbing and water purification, pottery, fiber arts, soap making, herbalism, composting and other waste management, medicine, and wildlife management.  They also included some high-tech maintenance and security people because the world was what it was and they couldn’t afford to ignore that aspect.
Preference was given to members of the families already living on the island, and Fili was able to fill the rest of their needs with members of his extended family, for the most part.  Within five years, the Tooks, Baggins, Gamgees, Brandybucks, Durins, Ris, and Urs had a functionally self-sufficient community in place.  That’s when Fili officially retired and moved to the island full time.  His husband, Kili, had already been there for several years working on wildlife management.  They had a lovely white and blue house with a view of the ocean and a fishing dock.  They also had a satellite communication and information system that was ostensibly in place to provide internet connectivity to all island residents.  It did that.  It also allowed Fili to work with contacts across the world to follow medical, political, and environmental issues.
After Fili, company employees retired at an unsuspicious rate of one or two a month.
On a beautiful autumn afternoon, with a breeze lifting and tossing his blond curls, Fili sat on the back deck, skyping with Thorin, Dwalin, and Nori on his laptop.  Dwalin fidgeted and shifted in his seat next to Thorin.  Fili knew that trick.  Thorin was holding his head of security back from telling Fili something.   When Kili, who was delayed inside making a pitcher of sweet tea, came out and sat next to Fili, Nori burst out, “It’s starting.”
Thorin glared at the communications expert.  His skill in monitoring remote areas and under-reported news gave him wide latitude to do as he pleased, but Thorin still liked to appear as if he had full control.  They all knew that the genius of Thorin’s organization was letting people pursue what they did well without micromanagement.  They got results.  And results meant contracts and income that kept everyone living comfortably.  So everyone stared at Nori, waiting for him to continue now that he had broken the ice.
“Chatter in security circles says the sudden homeless migration away from the northeast is predicated by a disease devastating their communities that has nothing to do with their living arrangements.”  He took a deep breath and pursed his lips, carefully considering his next words, “Coroners are reporting a troubling number of autopsies showing evidence of an unknown virus.  CDC and USAMRIID are working on the issue.”
“Time for everyone to come home?” Kili asked.  Their whole extended family had residences on the island and the families lived there while most of Thorin’s employees spent workdays on the mainland.  Some of their business simply required in person attention, but they also wanted to avoid creating too much interest in why this one company’s staff were all moving to a secluded location.
Dwalin nodded.  “We need a cover story.”  He turned to his brother-in-law, “Nori, how long do we have.”
“Honestly, the sooner the better.”
“Yule?” Fili suggested.
“Thanksgiving at the latest,” Nori stated with a frown.
“Ok.” Thorin took control of the conversation.  “I’m sure there are already several contingency plans.  Which is best?”
Kili, nodding to himself, suggested, “Harvest Festival.  The last of the late crops are being picked and preserved.  Bring everyone here to help and then throw a big party.  We can even publicize it as a progress milestone.  We just gloss over the fact that no one goes back.”
“The Yule Protocol would work for that,” Dwalin agreed.  He looked to Thorin, “Mind if we put everyone on remote work as a test?”  He made finger quotes as he said the last word.
“Do it.”
“Right,” Fili started, “I need to go talk to Bilbo.  Can y’all continue without me?”
The brunet at his side waved him off, “Go.  I’ll fill you in later.”
They got lucky.  Not one person showed up infected.  No boats loaded with refugees approached their shores.  The island and the company were simply forgotten in the chaos of overwhelmed hospitals, quarantining, media conspiracy theories, and general panic.  Then the radios went silent.  They spent a whole year watching and waiting,  Their lives went on.  They adapted to the isolation and pastoral lifestyle.  The harvest festival became an annual event.
As a second Christmas approached, Fili considered what Kili might like for a gift.  He considered learning how to make a mustache and beard conditioning balm.  He had grown a beard but Kili…. Kili had embraced a bushy mustache.  Fili called it the 70s porn star mustache.  He nodded.  That was good.  And he planned to ask Granny Daisy for her advice that afternoon when he walked into town to pick up bread.
But that was for later.  He wanted to stay in the moment.  He and Kili wandered the beach near their home.  The year before, they received a beautiful black labrador mix puppy for Yule that Kili immediately named Bear.  He made walks along the beach so much more entertaining, bringing them driftwood, bones, a crab once, and floating trash.  He and Kili always carried bags with them, his for trash and Kili’s for fresh seaweed.  Wakame was a regular part of their dinners and they both loved it.  Today however, Bear barked at a bloated mass on the beach, alerting them to danger.
As they approached, Kili said, “Dude, that smells like three day old gamer taint.”
Fili laughed.  Kili was his personal Peter Pan, refusing to grow up.  He kept them both young and fun.
“I don’t want to get too close.”  Kili said and called Bear away.  He turned them all around to head home.  “I’ll walk into town with you and talk about this with the elders.”  Kili headed their wildlife management program, so it nominally fell under his responsibility.  But he wasn’t an expert in marine biology, so he relied on the collective wisdom of the old fishermen.  “Maybe we can make it to Bilbo’s for Tea.”
Fili smiled at the thought, his fierce uncle was all modern businessman but he and the fussy traditional environmentalist had clicked in a way no one could explain.  It didn’t matter, they were happy, and that was all that mattered.
Kili’s radio squawked.  “What is that?”  Dwalin asked from his perch at the top of the lighthouse on the north end of the island.  “It washed up about an hour ago.  I was thinking about sending Nori to look when I saw you.”
“Just another small whale.  Looks like we’ll have plenty for the Yule feast.”  Kili’s stomach rumbled.
“Just make sure you get it harvested fast.  I nearly shit my pants when that big one exploded back in August.”
Ori came in with a mug of tomato soup and a grilled cheese.  He laughed, overhearing the discussion.  “Tell them that Bofur has the wooden crane working and he’s hoisting Took kids to put ornaments on the higher branches.  They can’t miss it.”
Dwalin had keyed the mike as soon as Ori said ‘tell them…’  “Did you get that?” He asked Kili.
“10-4.  We’re headed that way now.”
Flags waved in the distance.  Dori had a lookout station at the South end of the island and used semaphore to communicate with Dwalin just to keep in practice.  They frequently used dirty words for the entertainment of the island teens because it got them to learn the code.  Fili translated and Kili wrote the letters in the sand.
“W… T… F…”  They laughed.
Kili squeezed his send button and asked Dwalin to tell Dori it was a whale.  They both watched the security specialist spell, “Blubbernugget.”
Bilbo served egg salad, cheese, and crab salad sandwiches, gingerbread cookies, and a pot of black tea with milk and honey.  They enjoyed themselves on the front porch overlooking  the town square where children decorated the large tree.  Bofur had a Gamgee teen harnessed to the crane to put a star on the top.  It was quite exciting.
Thorin asked about blubbernugget.  Kili was barely able to breathe around his laughter, so Fili explained that Bear had found another whale and a team was already off to harvest it.
Bilbo was delighted.  “I’d like another chance to try roasting some with rosemary and sage.  I think they would be better than the dill and thyme I used last time.”
“It will probably be available at the butcher tomorrow,  Grab us a roast too, if you get there first?”  Kili finally got himself together enough to talk.  “It’s too old for sushi, but maybe if someone caught me a fresh…”. His voice tapered off as he stared at Dori’s position.
Flags waving again, the letters signaled, “B… O… A… T…”

Your guide to California policy and politics
Tumblr media

Good morning, California.
Newsom orders more water for farmers and towns
Tumblr media

From CalMatters environment reporter Alastair Bland:
As downpours soak Northern California, Gov. Gavin Newsom has ordered state officials to capture and store more stormwater in San Joaquin Valley reservoirs for farmers and towns, and to “remove or minimize” any obstacles that stand in the way.
If that sounds familiar, it is: The governor issued similar orders two years ago, when he waived environmental laws to store more water as storms drenched the state and caused disastrous flooding. Months later, the Legislature and Newsom enacted a new law that smooths the way for such actions.
In a video posted on social media, Newsom said he aims to store more stormwater “for people and agriculture.” The three-year, statewide drought “yielded ongoing, significant impacts” on farm communities, he wrote in his order.
Growers and cities that use water from the State Water Project welcomed Newsom’s action.
But environmental groups worry that it will kill salmon and other fish spiraling toward extinction. By diverting and storing more water, less is left in Delta rivers for fish.
Environmentalists also noted the similarity between Newsom’s order and President Donald Trump’s order last week to waive the Endangered Species Act and pump more water out of the Delta. The Army Corps of Engineers then abruptly increased outflow from two small San Joaquin Valley reservoirs.
Trump posted on social media that the water would have prevented the Los Angeles wildfires — but that water does not reach Southern California. It also will do little to help farmers, since they need irrigation water for crops in spring and summer, not now.
Jon Rosenfield, science director at San Francisco Baykeeper: “Trump issued an executive order that is nothing short of an assault on California’s environment, and it’s like Newsom said, ‘Hold my beer.’”
Speaking of Trump: On Saturday Trump issued an order imposing tariffs on goods from Mexico, Canada and China. The tariffs are meant to hold the countries “accountable to their promises of halting illegal immigration” and stopping fentanyl and other drugs “from flowing into our country,” according to the order.
As CalMatters reported in November, Mexico and China made up 40% of California’s imports in 2023 and the state could feel the brunt of the tariffs. Nationally, prices are projected to rise by nearly 1 percentage point, according to the UCLA Anderson Forecast. Because Canada is also a key supplier of lumber for the U.S., Trump’s order also has major implications for Southern California as it rebuilds from the deadly wildfires.
In addition to customers and small businesses feeling a hit, leaders from Canada and Mexico said they will impose retaliatory tariffs on American goods. California’s top exports include almonds, wine and dairy products.
How will Trump’s second presidency affect your corner of California? CalMatters is working with public radio partners to gather perspectives across the state. Share your thoughts here.
CalMatters events: On Feb. 25 CalMatters’ Adam Echelman will hold a panel to discuss what the state is doing to help employment outcomes for Californians ages 16 to 24. Register here to attend in person at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles or virtually.
Other Stories You Should Know
 Keeping CA kids insured
Tumblr media

When voters approved Proposition 35 in November to lock in tax revenue to pay more to the doctors who treat low-income Medi-Cal patients, voters also nixed dedicated funding to keep kids insured, among other Medi-Cal earmarks.
That’s now a problem. As CalMatters’ Kristen Hwang explains, due to administrative errors or missing paperwork, about 400,000 children on Medi-Cal lose coverage every year for a period of time and then must re-enroll.
To pay for this gap in coverage, Newsom and state legislators passed a law last year allocating $33 million to fund the program starting in 2026. But there’s a rub: The legislation stipulated that continuous coverage would not be funded if Prop. 35 passed, which it overwhelmingly did.
Advocates are now urging Newsom to try again, and allow low-income children to stay on Medi-Cal without renewal requirements until age 5. But they face an uphill battle: To spend Medi-Cal money this way, California needs federal approval. And Trump’s initial attempt to freeze federal funding signaled his intent to slash spending for social safety net programs.

College students seek immigration services

Demand for immigration legal services are skyrocketing at California colleges, write Delilah Brumer and Mercy Sosa of CalMatters’ College Journalism Network. The sudden uptick follows Trump’s pledges of mass deportations and the operations that federal immigration enforcement authorities are carrying out across the U.S. and California.
California has an estimated 100,000 students who are either undocumented or come from mixed-status families — more than any state. Over the last five years, the state has provided $52.2 million to fund college immigration resource centers, also known as Dream centers, to help undocumented students navigate financial aid applications and connect them with free legal services.
Since Trump’s November victory, legal service providers say their free consultations are booked several months out. Some Dream center coordinators also say that state funding is critical to the centers, and are calling for more stable sources of money.

Bovine Tuberculosis (bTB) can literally destroy a dairy farm. And this article highlights how it can impact a farmer's health, both physically and mentally.
For over ten years, Badgers have been blamed spreading bTB to previously uninfected farms. I think this has now been proved to be largely untrue... although Badger culling continues.
The main problem is the inefficiency of the commonly used skin test for bTB on cattle... and a misunderstanding of how the disease is spread.
A recent university study discovered that the cow poo of bTB infected cattle contains large amounts of the disease. Instead of the current skin test, if the cow's secretions were screened it would be a more efficient away of detecting bTB.
For nearly two years my farm has been participating in a research project into bTB, based on the findings of the university study. All water troughs and feeding trays have been raised, to reduce the risk of contamination by cow slurry... and, in all but one of cow sheds we have a robotic cleaning system. (Not cheap!) It is hoped that this research project will result in both a better detection system for bTB, and an effective vaccine.

US: Breast cancer deaths have decreased by 44% since 1989, despite an increase in cases
Tumblr media
- By Nuadox Crew -
Breast cancer rates in the U.S. have been rising, particularly among younger women and Asian Americans, according to a study by the American Cancer Society.
From 2012 to 2021, breast cancer cases increased by 1% annually, with rates growing faster for women under 50 than those older. Asian American women saw the most rapid increase in incidence, possibly linked to immigration patterns. Despite this, the breast cancer death rate has declined by 44% since 1989, preventing over 517,900 deaths.
However, the benefits of medical advancements have been unevenly distributed. Black women have a 38% higher mortality rate than White women, despite having lower breast cancer incidence, due to systemic racism and less access to quality care. Native American mortality rates have remained unchanged since 1990. The report calls for more racial diversity in clinical trials and improved access to high-quality screening for underserved women.
In April, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommended that women begin biennial breast cancer screenings starting at age 40, adjusting its previous guidance.

Small Steps Towards Big Goals
This week has been a mixed bag. I've been able to mostly keep to my dairy fast. Getting to finally have cheese again was such a rewarding experience. My fiance made me gnocchi, a perfect Lent meal that I had never had before and I enjoyed it immensely. I'll have to learn to make it myself for him one day. I also bought dairy free butter to allow me to at least have toast, one of my staples for this past week. But let's move on from food.
I finally finished my skirt on Tuesday. I had begun making it several months ago and had finished most of it by Christmas Day so I was able to wear it then but it took me until Tuesday to finish off the last section. It still needs a good iron and it's not the most skillful work ever done but it's only my second ever sewing project so I'm going to go easy on myself.
Wednesday was by far one of my most fun days. My friend and her brother took me to a carpark so I could learn to drive for the first time! I was there for about two hours, mainly going around this carpark over and over again but was eventually able to drive up the road and go around the roundabout. I feel very proud of myself for taking that first step but am still somewhat apprehensive for my next time driving. Towards the end of my two hours, one of the tyres hit something and had to be changed over. We were fine, it didn't affect the drive at all. Just created a bump in the tyre is all.
On Thursday, our Catholic young adult group started back up. I may have mentioned before but this year, I want to try and be more sociable at this group and become better friends with everyone. I was able to have a good conversation with a couple of people that I think I'll have the best chance of developing a friendship outside of the group with.
Towards the end of this week is where things became a little more sour. Five Uber Eats transactions that I didn't make showed up in my bank account, all from Thursday during a one hour window in the afternoon. I didn't see them until I began work on Friday. They added up to $82. I reported the transactions to my bank and then filled out a form on the Uber Eats website the next day. Fortunately, they are planning to refund the charges. Two of the charges have since disappeared and the other three are still pending so I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Sunday came with a beautiful Divine Liturgy, as it should. The priest that came down to say the Liturgy is the one organising my Catechism. He brought with him a book for me: Christian Initiation of Children. It's a book all about baptising children. Obviously I'm not a child, but it still has a lot of good information on why we baptise, what will happen during my baptism, the role of sponsors, and how to prepare for my baptism. And the parts that pertain purely to infant and child baptism, as our priest said, will be useful to my fiance and I in the married life. It's a beautiful book, filled with prayers for conception, pregnancy, before and after childbirth, and for new mothers and fathers. I'd like to add some of those prayers to my intercessory prayers for my friend who herself is pregnant. The book is also presented in both English and Ukrainian, which will be useful for language learning. I've already picked up on the word for baptism (Хрещення). I've been told to read it with my fiance and we've already started it. I'm eager to continue. I've started reading the youth catechism I was given some months ago. I know a bit more than I knew then so it's starting to make more sense to me.
Today has been quite a calming day. I went to a psychology appointment that has left me feeling more comfortable with the direction my life is heading and what I'm focusing on. I also got to see the therapy dog again and was able to get some pictures of her. She's a lovely, albeit sleepy, lady. I've finally brought the bins to the curb. Someone was taking them up each week when we moved in but recently they stopped and our apartment building has gone a few weeks with no bins being emptied so I've taken them up tonight.
Lastly, I ordered some books for my fiance's birthday last month but they still haven't arrived. I had contacted the monastery that printed them last week and have been in contact with one of the nuns. She's all but prepared to print the books again for us, free of charge, but asked to wait two more weeks to make it a full month due to frequent delays in the Australian Post Office. My fiance agreed and wouldn't you know it: tonight, I found a warning in my mail box telling me that I'll need to pick up my package or they'll be returned to sender. All this for a package that I've gotten no update or notice about at all 🙃. Hopefully, it'll be my fiance's books.
Glory to Jesus Christ!

The capital's new light rail line connecting Itäkeskus in eastern Helsinki to Espoo's Keilaniemi has only just opened, but Helsinki is already gearing up to approve funding for another suburban tramline — this time running between the northeastern suburbs of Viikki and Malmi.
The project has been dubbed Viima, or "Icy Wind."
Helsingin Sanomat said it is intended to serve a new residential area emerging in what used to be Malmi's small-craft airport. A lack of public transport in the area would make life difficult for the 25,000 residents expected to eventually live in this part of the city.
Following the recently approved tram in Vantaa, Viima is the next new streetcar project in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
Chinese cash
Finland is open to Chinese money, reports Hufvudstadsbladet. The Swedish-language daily said that while Chinese firms have made fewer foreign investments since the pandemic, Finland remains interested in business from China and does not restrict the flow of Chinese Yuan into the country.
According to HBL, PM Petteri Orpo (NCP) said on Wednesday that Finland has not reconsidered its position on China or Chinese investments.
News that the Chinese company Svolt said Finland is on its list of countries where it's considering building a new battery cell factory, has drawn positive comments, including from Finland's business lobby EK.
Chinese electric cars are gaining a growing share of the European e-vehicle market, increasing Chinese interest in minerals and battery factories, HBL said.
Baby blanket theft
Tampere-based Aamulehti reports of baby blankets going missing in the city's maternity and post-natal ward.
Sharp-eyed staff have, however, noticed the fox-patterned blankets cropping up on social media. This is interesting because the Finnish manufacturer, Univiso, does not retail directly to consumers.
AL said new moms should keep in mind that the Finnish-made blankets are funded by taxpayers. In any event, extra efforts are not needed to track down the culprits. This is because the manufacturer has microchipped every blanket it sends to institutional clients, like hospitals and daycares.
Could Finland compel civil servicemen to milk cows?
There's been a positive reaction to a recent comment on a Finnish-language Yle article suggesting that civilian servicemen help alleviate some of the serious labour shortages on farms.
Milking cows, though often automated these days, is a twice-a-day routine on dairy farms.
The commenter proposed that young men carrying out civilian service, in lieu of military conscription, could step in as stand-in labour on dairy farms.

Enhancing Athletic Performance: A Comprehensive Guide to Sports Nutrition
Eating a healthy balanced diet is an essential component of any exercise program. The quality of the food people eat can break their progress toward their fitness objectives. Sports nutrition is the secret to peak performance and better health, whether they're a professional athlete or just trying to keep in shape. In this blog, let's know about the proper nutrition which fuels performance.
People's awareness of the value of exercise is growing, and the sports industry is developing swiftly. Thus, it is estimated to drive the market expansion. In addition, according to a research report by Astute Analytica, the Global Sports Nutrition Market is likely to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.8% over the projection period from 2022 to 2030.
Sports nutrition's significance:
Athletes can prepare for and recover from workouts and contests with the help of adequate nutrition, which increases their total performance. Furthermore, maintaining body weight and increasing the workout effect requires an adequate intake of calories.
Tumblr media
The focus of sports nutrition is on the particular dietary requirements for performance. Let's start by talking about which nutrients are crucial for athletes and whether certain supplements are required.
Fats:
Fat serves as the main energy source for low to moderate-intensity activity and fuels the muscles during endurance training. Additionally, it contributes to the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, offers important fatty acids, safeguards vital organs, and improves satiety.
The recommended daily allowance for fat is between 20 and 35 percent of total calories. It is estimated that poly-unsaturated and mono fats make up about 15-20% and 5–10% of this total.
Seeds, nuts, avocados, fatty fish, and extra-virgin olive oil are a few examples of nutrient-dense dietary fat sources.
Protein:
Protein intake has been linked favorably to metabolic, bone, and weight control. Athletes' performance, lean body mass, recuperation, and strength have all been reported to increase with it. Furthermore, research indicates that consuming protein after exercise may maximize muscle recovery and improve strength.
According to research, active adults and athletes need 1.4–2.0 g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day to grow and maintain muscle mass. Higher protein consumption (>3.0 g/kg/d) may benefit body composition.
Red meat, poultry, dairy, fish, eggs, legumes, tofu, and fortified foods are a few examples of dietary sources of protein.
Food categories to eat:
Particular food groups should be a part of a person's diet when it comes to sports nutrition. It is possible to provide their body the energy it requires to function at its peak by consuming a range of nutrient-dense foods. The following foods are among the best to put in a sports nutrition plan:
Whole grains
Healthy fats
Lean proteins
Vegetables and fruits
The vitamins and minerals included in fruits and vegetables can assist the functioning of a person's body. Lean proteins and healthy fats can help them feel full and provide their body the resources it needs to stay healthy, while whole grains give their body slow-burning energy.
