Despite Your Good Intentions series by xylophones. yagi toshinori moves into midoriya izuku's apartment building when he is eleven. this has a ripple effect that leads to midoriya izuku becoming the youngest licensed intern that japan has seen, and spirals from there. one of my favorite series!!! 204k, hurt/comfort

Thick Blood, Sweet Water by litbynosun (@coldwind-shiningstars). aizawa shouta and midoriya inko are siblings who only reunite after midoriya izuku has started his first year at UA. 15k, family fluff

Oh, I've got more than a few!

Okay, firstly, literally everything from lescousinsdangereux and explosivesky. I won't even pick out my favorites from them because literally every one of their fics are incredible. Read them all.

Next there's i'm going to make this place your home by amaranthskies. Road Trip AU. They're all soulmates, actually. This one is one of my personal favorites; the vibe is kind of unexplainable but it's such a warm story of family and love and finding oneself (and finding each other). Absolutely recommend.

Then we have The Gang Kidnaps A Child by Kablob and mylordshesacactus. This one's a If-Team-STRQ-Found-Baby-Cinder AU, because it's incredibly well-written and does a really good job of characterization, especially considering how little we know about Team STRQ in the first place.

Next is Top of the List by timeespaceandpixiedust. Bumbleby-focused; Yang meets the parents! It's literally just fluff. Blake and Yang are ridiculously sweet, Ghira and Kali are perfect, and it's a great feel-good read.

Every good fic list has got to have at least one 5+1, right? look how long this love can hold its breath by herocomplex is exactly that. Bumbleby; five times someone thinks they're together and the one time someone doesn't think so when they actually are. This one is absolutely wonderful with their dynamic and I'm always a sucker for Beacon Bees. Read it.

And then, last but absolutely not least, there's baby, let's take the long way home by ProfessorSpork. Set very exclusively in mid-v6 when the team are all temporarily living in Saphron Arc's house, Blake and Yang are left behind one night to take care of the baby on their own. Pining and feelings---beyond worthy of v6 Bumbleby---ensue.

CHAPTER 12: HOME

They’ve been stuck in traffic for hours.

The problem with deciding to spend Labor Day weekend visiting Blake’s family in Kuo Kuana is that half of Vale seems to be heading in the same direction—if not to Menagerie, then to any one of the dozens of beach towns along the way. It’s been bumper-to-bumper ever since they left the city, and Yang is lowkey suffering. Maybe it was a bad idea to let Blake use a paddle on her for the first time last night, ensuring her butt would be sore before they even got in the car… but considering the rest of the weekend is going to be nothing but quiet, daring touches under the blankets as they try not to giggle and give themselves away in Blake’s childhood bedroom, Yang had been eager to do a scene that would generate memories (and okay yeah, maybe welts) that would last them the next few days.

And besides. Even if traffic’s a pain in the ass, and there’s also… literally, pain in her ass… it’s hard to be too mad about it. Not when Blake’s grinning like a goof in the passenger seat, singing along to her pop county playlist with abandon and gender-bending the lyrics just to make Yang blush.

I could be way off base, but I have been thinking about this since she said this and trying to figure out what moral? At the time, the best they could figure would be to follow Alyx’s path, but not make the mistakes she made. We now know not only was the story changed from what Jaune was there for, but Alyx wasn’t like the girl who’s in the story.

If there is some “moral” to be learned here, I did wonder if it was to respect and understand different people. Because that’s something up until this current chapter NONE of our main cast have done. RW.BY have been operating out of a story with people as a means to an end. They aren’t really people in their own right, just a way to progress forward. They never really ask anything about the Afterans, outside of asking Curious about ascension, and it’s not like they are a reliable source of information since they seem to have the ability to influence Afteran’s will and only will answer what is asked.

Jaune mentioned that Alyx was cruel and didn’t think the rules applied to her, and while they’ve not been cruel about it we’ve not seen anyone from Remnant treat the Afterans like actual people until (R)WBY listens to the Paper Pleasers. @professorspork spoke about Blake caring about the Paper Pleasers and speaking up for them, and it’s really the first time any of them think about the lives of the people there and not just getting home… Not that Jaune or Ruby agree that they are people.

Just because it’s a fairy-tale to them doesn’t mean it’s not real to the people there. It doesn’t mean they don’t have full lives, even if the visitors of Remnant don’t understand or agree with their culture. Ever After has shown Blake specifically that her culture is very important to her, and if there is some moral to be gained by Blake in this “story” is that understanding different cultures only enhances everyone and leads to greater cooperation. Almost like that’s a goal of hers...

listen I know we're all in BEE'S KISS LOCKDOWN right now but I am also going slightly insane about how jaune is the rusted knight, jaune who's joined Beacon to be a hero and a legend, who's undergone so much growth to then fully realize in v5 how he's not meant to be the "main character" or lead with power, but leading through being the best support, achieving that leadership role and the crowning of it is that he spends twenty years in an alternate dimension and literally becomes one of the origin points of the mythos of knighthood in remnant, becoming a fairytale's ideal knight and the very kind of legend he sought out to become when he first falsified his records to get into Beacon, and he gets it after the most harrowing sequence of events, two kingdoms falling and losing a lover then mercy killing a friend and stewing in rage and guilt for 20 yrs in an alternate dimension. he did it! he became the Knight but god at what cost

It's A School Night, Why Are You Out Saving The World by TechnicolorVocab01 is a great little fic about Jefferson trying to parent the new Spiderman because he's? So small?

To Have And To Hold by Traincat is a short crack snippet explaining why Aunt May calles Doc Ock 'Liv'.

Down The Waterspout by Mockingone is a what-if of Blond Peter surviving and fleeing the collider with Miles. Very sweet, highly recommend.

so lucky, so strong, so proud by ProfessorSpork is a sad little fic exploring how the various Spiders feel to see alternate versions of their dead loved ones. Major ouch.

He can turn Invisible! by Awakening5 is a series of snippets. Increasingly sappy and smutty as they go on, but I personally love them.
