Headlines and Perspectives - One shot
Dr. Two Brains blood chilled when he saw what was printed on the morning edition of the Fair City Times. Guilt, torment, and anger coursed through his body. How dare the called her that! Becky wasn't anything like that monster! It wasn't her fault that Miss Crimes was making her commit all that violence and bloodshed. Two Brains let out a sigh, releasing his anger as he noticed how his hands were beginning to crumple and tear up the newspaper. "Besides. The only reason she is dealing with all of this is because of me." Dr. Two Brains mumbled in a guilty tone. He knew this headline will only make people's fear of Miss Crimes even worse. He had to finish the cure quickly before it would be too late. Victor frowned as he silently read the newspaper. Unwanted memories were coming back as he gazed over the words and the information about Miss Crimes printed in the article. "So now you see why I need you on this case Agent Cutter." Margaret spoke in a serious tone to the man as they were both seated in her office at The Agency. Victor let out a sigh. He had done cases like this before, but things were different this time. "She is still a child ma'm." Victor responded, his face bearing an slightly anguished expression. Margaret Fuller's gazed at Victor with a sympathetic look despite still bearing a hardened and serious expression. "I know but we can't have her running around and killing innocent lives anymore. For now I want you to find out more information on Miss Crimes such as he origins, powers, and weaknesses. If there is a way to contain her then do it. If not..." Margaret paused. Victor just grimly nodded. She didn't have to finish that command. Victor knew if he couldn't capture Miss Crimes, then he would have to end her life. Darius smirked with intrigue as he sat in his office. The newspaper from one of his associates who was situated in Fair City looked very promising. He then pressed a button on a device with a speaker. "Miss Lears, please bring in the contact information of Dr. Calvin Barriton and Professor Athena Cartwright to my desk immediately." Darius commanded. "Right away Mr. Brewster." A voice responded. Darius smiled wickedly and went back to reading his paper. "It looks like B.E.A.W labs might get a new bioweapon soon, or some scientists might get a chance to test out their weapons on Miss Crimes. Whichever comes first." Darius mused to himself as he drank his coffee. Archie Webber had a fierce and determined expression as he packed his hero gear up. Dr. Arannae was ready and willing to bring this Miss Crimes to justice. She was going to pay for killing his best friend Jenkins and for crushing Joe's heart. The poor man had called Archie and through tears and anguish told him what happened to Dr. James Jenkins. How Jenkins' mangled remains were found in his lab along with destroyed equipment. Joe had also told him about what was printed in today's newspaper concerning Miss Crimes. "That girl's murderous crime spree ends now." Archie growled as he headed out the door with his gear in tow. His pet spider Fluffy safe at his mom's house. Archie didn't want to imagine what would happen if Miss Crimes got her fiendish claws on his sweet boy.

Becky didn’t press her father about it though. Something told her that deep down, her dad didn’t know the answer to that question yet. After finishing breakfast, Becky had asked her dad if she could talk with her friends about what happened. With some reluctance, Two Brains agreed on the condition that she talk to her friends in a private setting, far away from people, and that neither Scoops nor Rose would write down what she told them. Becky agreed. Soon she and Bob left and went off to meet her friends, leaving the mad scientist alone at the kitchen table. Two Brains stared down at his phone for a little longer before letting out a deep sigh. He sent Henry a simple text, apologizing for not replying soon and that he was touched by his concerns. That would do for now. “YOUR DAD IS CLONE!” Scoops shouted before Becky quickly covered his mouth. “Shh, Scoops! Yes my dad is a clone but as I said before, please keep your voice down.” Becky exclaimed in a quiet, but harsh whisper as she gave the reporter an annoyed glare. Scoops nodded furiously and Becky pulled her hand away from his mouth. “Sorry about that Becky, it's just what you said is completely mind blowing.” Scoops exclaimed in a quieter tone. “First it turns out your grandfather was Maddrix the Malicious and your dad used to be the villain Professor Terror who stopped Maddrix. Second it turns out your dad along with his siblings are all clones who apparently don’t have belly buttons. Finally, your dad isn’t even the real Steven Boxleitner but is in fact his cousin and the original Steven died in a fire along with your other grandfather. Here I thought my family’s history was extensive and confusing.” Becky let out a sigh. “Yeah, I know it's a lot to take in. I’m still trying to process what my dad told me. I mean I’m mad at him for keeping it a secret from me but I understand why he did it especially since government people were hunting him down.” Becky exclaimed, still slightly frustrated and frazzled by the whole thing. Each of her friends gave her a sympathetic look. “It does sound like your dad definitely had a rough life.” Rose commented. “Though it seems disgusting and crazy for people to try and buy your dad like an experiment since he acts and behaves like every other human being.” Becky looked at Rose with a solemn expression. “There are people out there Rose that won’t hesitate to experiment on someone just because they have a different genetic makeup than everyone else. Believe me.” Becky somberly spoke as her mind flashed back to her own kidnapping and near experimentation by that horrible woman Athena Cartwright. Violet placed a gently comforting hand on Becky as she knew what her best friend went through. Scoop and Rose looked confused and wanted to ask what Becky meant but a stern head shake from Violet made them drop it. Scoops decided to change the conversation to something else. “Well learning about your family Becky definitely beats what Rose and I found out about Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll.” Scoops remarked. Becky looked at him with confusion. “What do you mean?” She inquired. “Oh, so Rose and I decided to do an investigative report on Mr. Edward Hyde since he’s the new villain in town. We researched where he came from and it turns out he not only knew our teacher but he also worked for him at a place called the Society for Arcane Sciences.” Scoops explained as he showed Becky what he and Rose found. “The Society for Arcane Sciences? What is that?” Becky asked. “It’s a place that allows scientists of all fields to do their own individual research with available equipment and resources not found at other places. It's also funded by a lot of wealthy people. Get this, our teacher was the founder of this place and worked alongside a man named Robert Lanyon. The articles we found said that Dr. Jekyll quit the Society and gave ownership to Mr. Lanyon.” Rose exclaimed.
Though someone this Miss Ito did know Henry Jekyll. Did his brother's new boyfriend get this woman to look into him? If so, why didn't this man just ask Dr.Two-Brains about himself? This raised more questions than it answered. Maybe Henry didn't have the courage to look into his brother after he gave him a little 'friendly' talk. Yet the thinly veiled threats Victor had made shouldn't have been enough to get the teacher looking into Dr.Two-Brains. There was also the fact that Henry had no idea that Victor could find out who was hacking. Perhaps the man was intelligent enough to have the heat on someone else just in case they were found out, but he didn't seem like the type to do so. Especially to someone he had entrusted The Society to. Victor was going to have to get a few agents to take a little trip to check out why they decided to hack like they did. Maybe Robert Lanyon had someone to do with Miss Itos hacking. It would be expected when the man's father had been murdered. Perhaps he wanted to make sure that Henry was safe. Maybe this man was protecting Henry from someone who was threatening him. This could've had the culprit retaliate against the doctor by going after Henry or Robert could be responsible for his own father's murder and for Mr. Carew's attempted murder. The reason both Mr. Hyde and Henry left could be because Robert was threatening one and framing the other. Victor felt a headache coming on. For now, he was going to find out exactly where Robert was. If he wanted to take over The Society, he would've easily done so. Yet he didn't, instead only oversaw important business. He couldn't scratch any of his theories out just yet. He didn't know what was going on, but he was going to find out. He didn't realize that Eris had finally gotten home. He didn't notice the sound of the apartment door opening and closing. “Victor, are you okay? You look like you're stressed about something.” He expressed his concern, brows furrowed. “Eris! I'm fine. I was just overthinking some things.” Eris went over to Victor and placed a kiss on his temple. “Get some rest, my sweet. You'll be able to figure things out better with fresh eyes.” Victor smiled at his boyfriend. “You're right. I'll take a nap. If you'll join me.” Eris smiled at that. He found Victor endearing. The toymaker closed his laptop. Meanwhile in another part of the city, two people were arguing. “Must you stalk these people? I would rather not have the police sniffing around if they take legal action.” The woman shook her head. “It is necessary. I must save that girl from that horrid man. Who knows what he could do to them. I'm doing what is right.” The blond man shook his head. “You admitted that you were interested in our plan.” Calvin frowned at that. “I didn't do anything too crazy. I promise.” Athena muttered under her breath. Athena began to pace a bit. She wanted Dr.Two-Brains to break and admit who he is. “You're making me dizzy, cousin.”
Athena gave a weak glare towards Calvin's rudeness. "You know I can't help it. I haven't been the same after what that demon did to me!" Athena snapped back. Calvin merely huffed. Deep down, he couldn't help but feel some intimidation from the mouse man, especially when he knew what that abomination was capable of. At first, Calvin was shocked to hear what the man did to his cousin. He had always viewed Steven, or Gene, or whatever it called himself, as a sniveling worm with goody moral ethics. He never thought that the man was capable of doing something that heinous, even with his paternal instincts heightened. Things made much more sense to Calvin once he learned of his former coworker's family background. "Very well. Continue with your plans. I have other matters to attend to." Calvin exclaimed in a haughty tone, waving off Athena's anger. Athena gave him a suspicious look. "What are you planning that is more important than my mission?" She inquired. "Well why you have been playing vigilante stalker to a babysitter and her charge, I have been looking into the reason for the Mad Science League's sudden movement here." Calvin explained. Athena looked surprised at that. "Adrian Barton is here?" The B.E.A.W labs' leader has expressed interest in the mysterious Mad Science League. A small group of scientists lead by a self proclaimed immortal man whose made it his mission to fight against tyranny and corruption of the higher classes. Adrian Barton and his associates had proven too slippery for capture due to the man's chaotic and unpredictable movements. Athena was curious and confused as to why he came here of all places. "We don't know why he is here or what business he has, but for some reason he has made himself more open in public though he has maintained a cautious guard. I last saw him talking with Professor Doohickey, though I highly doubt the reason he came to this city was to help the man's predicament." Calvin answered as if he seemed to understand what his cousin was thinking. "Do you think it has something to do with the murder of Mr. Hastie Lanyon?" Athena asked as she recalled hearing about the murder. Calvin shook his head. "I doubt Barton was behind that. He has a clear hatred for the rich and elite, but he would have been more subtle in killing that man, actually making it look like a robbery in progress that went bad. There is another reason why Mr. Barton is here. One in which I intend to find out. So hopefully your antics won't interfere in my mission. Good day Athena." Soon Calvin walked away, leaving the deranged woman to her own thoughts and delusions. "Blimey! Those cleaners know how to clean out goop stains. It looks brand new." Hyde exclaimed in a joyous tone once he received his outfit from Rachel. "Yep. It appears people getting their clothes ruined by goop is a common occurrence around here. So they developed a new way to remove the stains and residue even thought it takes a lot of time. It's definitely well worth it. I must say." Rachel replied with agreement. Hyde ginned widely at his clean outfit. He then looked back towards Rachel. "So, anything happened while ah was gone?" Hyde inquired. Rachel quickly shook her head. "Not really. Like I said, we waited a long time at the cleaners. Also Wordgirl showed up trying to stop a robbery caused by Lady Redundant Woman. She gave a wave to Amber before she flew off. Amber got a little fussy on the way home, but it was likely due to us being out for so long. She's fine now." Rachel explained. Hyde nodded but the usually grinning blonde had a serious expression as he thought back to what happened and what Whiskers admitted to him. "Did Wordgirl seem okay to ye?" Hyde inquired. Rachel looked confused by his question and expression. "She seemed alright to me. Why do you ask?" Rachel was surprised to hear Hyde express genuine concern for anyone that wasn't Amber, herself, or one of the lodgers. Hyde let out a sigh and proceeded to explain what happened today with Two Brains and his sister. @unhingedexperimenter

Let’s Talk #KimPossible: The Movie
Despite some fans online declaring it as being one of the worst things ever made, the live action Kim Possible remake was OK. Compared to the animated series, it is far better than that terrible final season.
For a review of the Disney Channel Original Movie Kim Possible, feel free to keep reading. There will be spoilers.
After another successful mission, Kim Possible and her friend/crime fighter Ron Stoppable go to school. They meet Athena, a new girl who just enrolled and is somehow the perfect student. When she tags along on a mission to fight Shego and Dr. Drakken and defeats them all by herself, Kim starts to get jealous. During a ceremony to honor Athena, the villainous duo kidnap her and Kim fails to stop them. It is now up to Kim and Ron to save her from Drakken’s evil scheme.
Prior to the film’s premiere, I wrote that it was too soon to judge the movie. The negative reception was reminiscent of Disney’s theatrical live action remakes, with longtime fans childishly refusing to even acknowledge its existence.
Having actually seen the film, it was OK. It was neither awful or amazing.
Considering this was the first time Disney ever adapted any of their Disney Channel animated series into live action, they did a good job. Being produced for TV, the limitations are obvious, from Professor Dementor wearing biker gear to Rufus being CG. However, the latter is mostly forgivable after looking at an actual naked mole-rat. Other changes were clearly made to accommodate the conversion.
While Kim was a cheerleader in the animated series, she is a soccer player in the movie. The change makes sense due to the former sport not being well-known outside of a few countries, while the latter is far more prevalent everywhere except the United States. The Kimmunicator went from being a handheld device to a pendant with holograms. If Kim had used the then-latest smartphone, it would have badly dated the film.
The plot was OK. It recycles a plot point from the show’s animated DCOM So The Drama, where the new kid in school (Eric) also turns out to be a robot. Out of all the plots they could have adapted into live action, it was the cheapest one to produce. It would be highly unlikely for a made-for-TV movie to even try having the duo either confront Monkey Fist or deal with time travel.
The only original parts of the movie were Drakken wanting to steal Kim’s motivation and the subsequent de-aging, neither of which made any sense even for this franchise. It made the movie a bit too nonsensical when it could have presented something more straightforward like a mind swap.
Going back to So The Drama, Athena is just a gender-swapped Eric. Both characters are humanoid robots created by Drakken, interfere with Kim’s life in some form or another, and turn out to be evil. The only difference between the two is Eric getting killed by Rufus while Athena is spared because they just need to reboot her into being a good guy.
The acting was overall good. Sadie Stanley played quite possibly the most realistic version of Kim Possible. Sean Giambrone stood out by giving the most accurate performance of the film, being able to recreate Will Friedle’s take on Ron to a T. As for the villains, Taylor Ortega was really good as Shego while Todd Stashwick was OK but trying too hard to mimic John DiMaggio’s Drakken. Everyone else did not even bother to recreate their original voice actors’ performances and went in wholly different directions.
Three actors from the animated series returned for the film. Both Nancy Cartwright and Patton Oswalt reprise their respective roles of Rufus and Professor Dementor, while series star Christy Carlson Romano cameos as a pop star giving Kim a ride. It was great seeing the former two reprise their roles, especially Oswalt despite the redesign. For Romano, it was an OK cameo, but she should have had a bigger role in the movie.
Several references to the show were shown throughout the film. At one point, Kim acknowledges her original animated attire. Athena wears a suit reminiscent of what Kim wore in the final season. Even the original theme song makes an appearance, playing over a live action recreation of the intro. The movie even ends with a stinger reminiscent of those featured during the final season.
Kim Possible is an OK movie. It is neither the best or worst DCOM ever made. Disney Channel has aired far worse films by comparison, such as Can of Worms. This movie has some good acting, but the plot is just OK. The TV movie’s budgetary limitations are far too obvious. It just shows why the premise works far better in animation than live action.
Also, it could have been worse. Just imagine a live action Gravity Falls DCOM.
If you liked the original show, you might hate this film. If you either want a summation of what Kim Possible is all about or are a fan of the actors starring in this DCOM, then it is worth checking out. Otherwise, skip this film and just watch the original show.
Kim Possible is available to own on DVD and Digital. Both the DCOM and the complete animated series are available to stream on Disney+.
Until next time, thank you for reading!

More Kim Possible Thoughts
- Sean Giambrone was born to play Ron! 10/10 casting!
- Sadie did an amazing job with Kim’s attitude and style. I could have done with less fake crying/almost-crying, but on the whole she was a great choice.
- Hearing Nancy Cartwright voicing Rufus again was a joy! Though I wish that he’d been able to actually speak a little like in the original.
- Original fans who are being babies about the updating need to get a life. The outfits where great and a new generation is loving this franchise! That’s a win-win!
- I loved the reference to Kim not wearing the “cartoony” belly shirt!
- ALSO, the updated references were wonderful. Villainstagram?! Perfect!
- I wish Christy Carlson Romano had had more of a role, but it was great to see her none the less!
- Great to see Patton Oswald as Professor Dementor
- I would give my left arm for live-action Monique and I’m so sad she wasn’t included
- As I wrote in my other review, Taylor Ortega and Todd Stashwick made this movie! They’re wonderful and perfect and imbued Shego and Drakken with all of the charisma and wit of the original characters! I never believed anyone would be able to capture Nicole Sullivan’s sardonic portrayal of Shego, but Taylor Ortega surpassed my expectations!
- I wish that they could have gotten Patrick Warburton to come back for Mr. Barken. I didn’t really get this new version of the character. (Also, thinking about the fact that Shego and Barken go on a date while watching this version made me laugh real hard!)
- A+ inclusion of funny Middleton High signs!
- The scene with Nana and Kim sparring was a shining light in this movie, and I loved the message that Nana gives to Kim about “Your grades/crimefighting are what you do, not who you are.”
- Athena’s whole character arc was cliche and predictable (and she was basically just the quintessential self-insert Mary Sue of any bad fanfic ever), but it’s a story that I think the young audience will enjoy.
- I was really, really hoping that she was going to be revealed as Drakken and Shego’s biological daughter, though I anticipated early on that she was a robot.
- Barring that, I wish that they’d just had Athena just go full villain. I’m not a fan of sentient robots who can go from evil to good because of the power of friendship.
Is this movie cheesy and predictable? You bet! Would I be excited for a sequel! Absolutely!

Yes make the scientists famous monsters.
In that case
Calvin is Dracula due to their manipulation and narcissim
Dr. James Doohickey is Frankenstein's monster because being experimented on.
Professor Robert Tubing - not sure yet
Steven Boxleitner - The Wolfman or in this case the Mouseman
Athena Cartwright - Medusa
As for the Dracula au thing - I don't have much on that yet. I just have some memories of the films I have seen of it and the book but that is about it.
@drtwobrainsstuff
Oh another monster idea here for you. The classic Bram Stroker Dracula
Mr. Charming - Dracula
Steven Boxleitner - Jonathan Harker
Carrie - Mina Harker
Clover - Lucy Westerna
Dr. James Jenkins - Arthur Holmwood - not a shipping reason, I just think James seems to fit in that role
Abraham Van Helsing - Victor Boxleitner
Becky is half vampire half human, her mom was a vampire who died when Becky was real young but Steven never found out until he meets Mr. Charming.
Yesss please
I love this so much,
Pssst @melodythebunny hurry over here! Lookit this!
I love this classic monster AUs.
Gasp. What if instead of the scientist's we assign the monsters to each of the testubular five?
But yes. I love this Dracula AU and I wanna see more of it from your wonderful mind.

Thoughts on the new Kim Possible Movie - SPOILERS
I’ve been really trying to wait to judge this movie until after I watched it, and now that I have there are some complicated thoughts under the cut
This movie had it’s ups and downs for me.
I think the biggest issue I’ve had with this movie is the tone. The show was a cartoon and never took itself that seriously (you can’t if you have the villain line up it did) but I would never describe it as campy. This interpretation is full camp, down to the cinematography, writing, and editing. Especially the editing. There is a gratuitous amount of slow motion in this movie that doesn’t do anything to highlight the action being shown or to give the audience time to react to a complex or especially cool move. It’s just... slowed down. There’s also a good amount of breaking the screen into different frames, which I don’t remember being a part of the show at all. It doesn’t feel like an homage to the original show and doesn’t really help too much. And the repeated voiceover flashback isn’t necessary either. Neither are the frequent random flips. And I’m never that big of a fan of voice-over narration that could just as easily be shown.
The real kicker for this movie is that Kim doesn’t feel like Kim. The character of Kim was always confident and ready with the one-liners. There are definitely times where she wasn’t in control, but school was almost never one of those issues - it was always either crime fighting or her social life. Making the central conflict start at her crumbling under the pressures high school doesn’t feel in line with Kim because she never once had that problem - at least not to this extreme and across her entire life. So the actress, Sadie, couldn’t do a lot to fix this without just going against the script. However, I don’t know if she was the best casting choice for Kim. A lot of this is probably age and lack of experience, but she never feels comfortable on screen. It doesn’t help the disconnect from the original character. And on a personal note, I’m miffed they never said “No big” or “What’s the sitch?” At least I didn’t catch them, I could be wrong.
More with the central plot, it didn’t feel like an episode of Kim Possible. My personal favorite episode is the not-really-a-DCOM-but-basically-is “A Sitch In Time.” It had the personal conflict with Ron moving and that having an effect on Kim, but most of the special was dedicated to crime fighting. This was mostly social conflict with a little bit of crime fighting. The balance was off. And let’s all be real: the character of Kim doesn’t really have a lot of character flaws and that wasn’t really the point. You were supposed to look up to her, and she very much was defined by what she did. Trying to make the movie about challenging that notion and focusing on who she is probably isn’t the best idea. And at the end of the day I still don’t really know who Kim is.
There were also just some pointless changes that bugged me. The timeline was completely off. Kim is just entering high school but has been crime-fighting long enough to have moved away from the old iconic uniform but Rufus isn’t there yet? It really isn’t important but I kept going back to that the whole movie. Honestly, introducing Rufus at the midpoint of the movie was very pointless, as nothing would have changed had he been there in the beginning. And this different backstory isn’t better than the original one, which is flawless and forever immortalized in the best song ever, the Naked Mole Rap. Also replacing cheerleading with soccer didn’t make any sense. Cheerleading actually highlights and utilizes Kim’s gymnastics; soccer doesn’t do that naturally and feels forced. And the soccer plot didn’t have a huge pay off - Athena does get accepted to the team but Kim never cared that much about soccer so it’s not that satisfying.
While the main plot is cliche, I don’t think it’s awful. The main idea the writers had does work, and it’s nice to see Kim challenged by someone. Athena as a character isn’t that bad. I think the actress, Ciara, does a good job with her, but I wish her writing leading up to the twist was a bit more subtle. I do fully understand this is for children and subtly isn’t always the best, but it was very obvious she shouldn’t be trusted. Small details like having the same Bueno Nacho order and not knowing who Poppy Blu was were nice touches. The bluntness of martial arts skills and technical knowledge was very suspicious. That could have been handled better.
But don’t get me wrong: there were things I really liked. Sean was a great Ron and I honestly wished he was utilized more. He was hilarious and really captured the voice and mannerism. Shego and Drakken weren’t the exact same as they were in the show, but I think it works and they are true to the spirit, Shego especially. They’re really fun to watch and the translation of their costumes is nice and creative. The filing of the metal nails was a nice touch. And while Drakken never said “Imagine the cruel memes!” in the show, he definitely would have and it was great. I wish Professor Dementor’s costume was closer to the show’s design simply because I didn’t know who he was at first, but it was honestly great to have Patton Oswald back to play him. And I appreciate having Nancy Cartwright back as Rufus - the CGI is definitely fake but he’s still cute (which is far more important). And while I think the Poppy Blu character was definitely odd, I appreciate trying to have a cameo for Christy Carlson Romano. AND THEY HAD THE MIDDLETON HIGH JOKE SIGNS. GOOD JOB ON THAT.
Overall this movie isn’t great, but it’s not the worst they could have done. It’s fine. Honestly, I just don’t think Kim Possible translates well to live action. At least not at this budget. But I appreciate the attempt.

Blood Curse Au
This idea stems from discord chats with my friend Eris who is known as @erraticeris and @dualnaturedscientist on tumblr. She came up with an idea for curse for her oc Athena Cartwright where Athena's family was cursed by a sorceress. The curse affects only women born into the family and it slowly drives them insane over time. Originally the "blood curse" idea was something for the mousebraingirl au and it was more scientific and had to deal with Lexiconian behavior combined with human blood. Then I thought, (with Eris's support and agreement) what if it could be magical in origin like with Eris's oc. The blood curse was born. There is a lot of dark stuff and gore. Trigger warnings are in the tags but be prepared for blood and devouring of flesh along with mention of mass killing. So the Blood Curse affects the Boxleitner (or Woods family depending on the au and lore). It only affects males born in the family. The curse originated with an ancestor who was a fierce and ruthless warrior from the Medieval period. This warrior was fighting an enemy army and had chased the remaining survivors into a village. Instead of waiting for the enemy soldiers to come out, the warrior set fire to the village, causing many to die by not only the flames but also by the warrior who slaughtered any male who tried escaping. After the village was destroyed, only one old man survived. This old figure was a powerful warlock. He was a kind soul but was horrified and outraged at what this warrior did. So, using eldritch magic, the old man cursed the warrior and his male descendants for the rest of time. The curse goes is that every male would have an insatiable urge to consume blood of living things born on this world through any means. They would also be prone to attacking and sometimes killing their victims to get the blood. They can still eat regular food and drink other liquids, but their desire to kill and drink blood will be a part of them like a need to satisfy hunger or to breathe. If they are near someone who has a simple cut on their finger, it drives them ballistic and animalistic. Their ears become pointed like wolves, their teeth become sharp fangs, their tongues elongate, their fingers become claws, and their eyes become a deep red. They can't be reasoned with nor can they control their will and actions in this state. It is almost like they are in a type of trance. The blood curse progresses with age. Newborns up till age 8 will only have desires and are satisfied with feeding on animal blood. 9 to 14 they will only be interested in the blood of those weaker and smaller than them and no longer can be satisfied with just animal blood. 15 to 19 those with the curse will only go after those just weaker than them. When they reach their 20s, then all human blood is a buffet to them. Each male in the Boxleitner (Woods) family has taken precautions to make sure they don't try to kill. Blood banks help to satisfy the curse. They also aren't attracted to the blood of females who are born into the family nor anyone who marries into family. Those with the curse are also not attracted to drinking alien blood as aliens are technically "not born of Earth" which negates the effects of the curse. Also the presence of alien blood in a male born into the family can delay the beginning of the curse which normally happens at birth. The only way to break the curse is not pretty either. The curse must be transferred to a descendant of the old man that cursed their ancestor or they must kill every last living family member of the old man. Let's just say about every member of the Boxleitner (Woods) family prefers to deal with their curse rather than let someone else suffer with it. Next post connected to this one will be called the blood brothers au which derives from this au. @melodythebunny @liloskull343

Rodent Man Au
So this is an idea that is like a Spider-man au but with Steven.
So when Squeaky pressed the button on the mind reading device, instead of fusion, it made Squeaky radioactive. When Steven tried to pick him up, Squeaky bit him So Steven in this au has the powers of a mouse. His hero outfit is his goggles but he also wears a black jumpsuit with yellow outlines. He has a fake prehensile tail to help him catch or trip up bad guys. He also has a belt with gadgets. A mouse logo is printed in the middle of the belt. He wears fingerless gloves to help him move around. He leaps and climbs stuff like a regular mouse. His speed and agility is maxed for an adult mouse. Steven does not have an obsession for cheese but still has a small addiction to it. His hero name is Rodent man. His hero skills come from stealth attacks though he does have some combat skills.
Now while dealing with EVA villains as he helps Wordgirl and Huggy out from time to time. He will also deal with villains that take the place of Spider-man villains in this au.
Dr. Calvin Barriton - Green Goblin
Professor Athena Cartwright - Dr. Octopus
Professor James Doohickey - The Lizard
Victor Boxleitner - Venom
That is what the au is for now. Please send asks if you want any headcanons or want to know more about which character - oc or canon - gets a spider-man character role in this au.
Professor Athena Cartwright and Victor Boxleitner - ocs of @drtwobrainsstuff
Dr. Calvin Barriton - my oc

For Gene and the four again
Have they ever accidentally yelled/lashed out at someone they would never want to hurt?
Have they ever been betrayed?
ooof dang I'm going to put the four first because Gene is a doozy Archie as a teen used to lash out at his mom and step dad because he was dealing poorly with his deadbeat dad Moran. His mom and stepdad don't hold it against him but Archie still feels awful about his teenage troubled youth. He was betrayed by Moran when he learned what his father did to him as a child. Patricia lashed out against Janet because she was tired and irritated with Janet trying to be her friend as well as Janet's well meaning but backfiring pranks. They did make up an started dating later on. In terms of betrayal - she was betrayed by her family and town when they unfairly accused her of murdering her wife. Jenkins accidentally lashed out at Joe while under the effects of a gas that made him crazy and very evil. Joe didn't hold it against him and was worried about him. Jenkins shut down for a while and Gene had to bring him out of it. Hugh lashed out at Patricia one time more out of emotional turmoil because he freaked out when he thought she was in deadly danger and didn't tell him the truth about it. (I can't think of any time's Hugh and Jenkins have been betrayed, hurt by actions but not betrayed.)
As for Gene...there is a list -lashed out at Alex when they were fighting over the treatment of villains -lashed out at Jenkins when Jenkins created a machine intended to help Mouse but caused her to accidentally commit crimes under a trance state and made people believe Mouse was the real culprit behind a series of crimes committed by regular mice. -lashed out at Hugh when they first met when Hugh pushed his buttons by accident and built his version of a mind reading device with the main purpose of trying to help Gene. -lashed out at Archie when he accidentally scared Mouse with his huge pet Spider Fluffy and his spider hero theme get up. He is called Doctor Arannae (Gene threw a truck at him.) -lashed out at Oliver for pushing his buttons -accidentally lashed out at Mouse when they were arguing over her behavior and not cleaning her room (the mousebraingirl version of the "Super Grounded" episode) (that is all I can think about right now) As for Betrayal (mousebraingirl au version) -betrayed by his dad Maddrix -betrayed by his colleague Athena when she kidnapped Becky

Why did my brain just think of Scooby do
But instead its an au with either the testubular five
Or poly cheese
ofc being some differences bc of personalities
Either way I'm plagued with it now
Oh yes I love that idea. Here are my suggestions.
Steven taking Shaggy's role but instead of coward he is the one with the common sense of the group to try and avoid dangerous locations. Of course he ends up being dragged in there due to his alien feral daughter escaping into these haunted places being chased by her monkey babysitter Bob. They both share Scooby's role with Bob being the running and fear part of Scooby Doo.
Teresa and Carrie share Velma and Daphne's role from time to time. Amazo Guy takes Fred's role.
For the Testubular Five
Professor James Doohickey - Fred.
Dr. Calvin Barriton - Daphne
Professor Robert Tubing - Velma
Professor Athena Cartwright - Shaggy
Professor Steven Boxleitner - Scooby Doo
Note: I did the last two the way they are because they are the most chaotic of the group and Steven with his appetite also because he is favored a lot on the internet like Scooby Doo.
Calvin as Daphne - material girl song.

@chaoticerisstuff said that athena would have also been steven's advisor before becoming banished
Oooh I like the idea. Oh maybe she was banished because she did not like how the former queen,Teresa, before she died, handled criminals of the land. I think Teresa influenced Steven greatly to be fair and just with the criminals and citizens. Providing second chance opportunities to the criminals. Athena despised the Queen and try to cast a spell to make her think like Athena did. The spell backfired because Athena nor Teresa knew at the time she was pregnant with Becky yet. It caused Athena to become corrupt and Teresa to fall very sick which she was only strong enough to deliver Becky before her passing. Steven found out and was definitely enraged. He did remember the kindness of his beloved wife and did not want her memory to be stained with death. So he banished Athena rather than having her executed. I have someone else in mind for the spell caster that turned Steven into a mouse man.

I forgot if I told you about this silly ship. Eris and Victor. They met when Eris was in the middle of her prank. He didn't seem impressed at first until he told her "no, you're doing it wrong. You have to do it this way if you really want to get him"
Two-Brains keeps finding goat cheese mixed into his cheese stash. He doesn't know which one is which either so it's Russian roulette 😂
He joins in on the pranking. You see, Eris isn't like Athena at all. She genuinely cares for others. Especially little ones as she is a kindergarten teacher. And Victor is a toy maker. So they seem like a good match. Two-Brains doesn't care that they're seeing each other its the pranking he hates.
Eris also pranks Amazo Guy. A similar trait she does have with Athena. She is petty. But in a pranky way. Nothing malicious.
She understands why they took her to jail and scared her so badly but they still scared the living daylights out of her.
I dunno if WordGirl would warm up to Eris though as she looks identical to Athena.
Your thoughts?
Ooo I love the ship idea. Yes for Big bro and his new girlfriend pranking his younger bro.
As for Becky, it is like with Janus and Apollo. Becky knows that Eris isn't Athena and is nice, but is still traumatized by Athena so she hides behind her dad and stays with him until Eris leaves. She doesn't mind hanging out with Eris, just as long as she is not alone with her and near any lab stuff. It takes a while for Becky to not hide when Eris comes around and a even a bit longer to just talk to her. She still remains by her dad's side though
Also how would Joe react to Eris?
