It's interesting to me how incredibly passive Jess seems in his relationship with Shane overall. I feel like a lot of what we see is her initiating something with him (even having to interrupt his reading repeatedly to do so! And he seems like he'd rather be reading, honestly) and him just... going along with it. The only times he seems to pull HER in is when he's deliberately trying to get a rise out of Rory. I'll probably never know exactly how things started with them, but I'm kind of left with the impression that Shane was definitely the one who expressed interest in him first, and he just went, "I might as well," because he felt like it would be stupid to say no to someone who wanted him just because of someone who probably didn't.

Once again. I don’t know when I’ll be able to color this but here’s the full wip (corresponding to this whump post)

Usually Abram’s recovery goes about as expected but sometimes there’s stretches where he kind of slumps, just part of the ups and downs of recovery. Part of that is the constant vigilance he was forced to have in Evermore catching up to him again, so his health deteriorates and he gets jumpy and anxious and most of all exhausted. He figures out his brain remembers the mealtime breaks; and even if Andrew would never allow it at the table, the prince can recognize when he needs to give a little and let Abram sleep on the floor. It’s the only way he’ll fully relax. When he figures this out, there’s suddenly and mysteriously a few nice floor pillows and other furniture and blankets added to his room, and more for Abram to take to his own.

(Can I count this as whumptober 25 if one of the prompts is flashback 🤔)

i was bored and distracted at the end of my netracell and actually took the time to look at the environment and decorations and details. here's some of the stuff lying around on tables inside the netracells:

-entrati family tokens (can't remember which color matches who, but i remember a green one for sure)

-an ax-52 rifle and a skana with a red cloth on the handle (😭)

-something that looks very much like the "crown"/head wear that archimedean yonta wears ? tbh im not sure what it was (edit: no that's definitely her headwear)

-tech from 1999 (including little cellphones, a cathodic tv next to some sort of cd receiver, a small pom-2, a fax LOL who the hell was he faxing smh)

-something that looks like a mask? the face is oddly reminescent of duviri citizens

-what im pretty sure is a book of the original tales of duviri as well? could be something else, but the cover seems to show thrax with his arms up with a big dragon snake over his head lol. (i know there's an actual decoration item for the tales of duviri, but i don't remember if it looked like that lol)

Jadzia. She’s creative and playful and I could see her being great at constructing a story that would be really fun to play through.

Odo. Maybe I’m being influenced by his umpiring in Take Me Out to the Holosuite, but I feel like he has 10/10 willingness to commit to the bit. Plus we know he reads character-driven (romance) fiction, which could be good background…? Maybe?

Ezri. I think her understanding of people/psychology would help her with character work, plus I think she'd really put her all into it. Would she be great at it? Maybe not, but I think it would be fun.

Julian. I think he would be really enthusiastic and maybe not the most focused but he would give it his all and I think everyone would have fun

Sisko. I think he is relatively unlikely to want to do it, but if he was going to do it, he would give it 100% thought and care and I think everyone would have a good time. But I think it would be a little too serious and he might be a little inflexible about stuff he thinks is important that players are missing

O'Brien. I think he'd be annoying. There would be things that didn't make sense that everyone would think were hinting at something, but it would just be because he hadn't thought stuff through, and then he'd get annoyed when people missed major plot-necessary stuff because they were too distracted by the weird details he couldn't be bothered to think about.

And tied for last place because I really can't separate them: Worf and Kira. I love Kira. I love Worf. I really, really do. I do not want to play a ttrpg with either of them. Because I don't think either of them wants to be there. I think either of them might do it because Jadzia put them up to it, or for Kira maybe she's forcing herself for some reason, like she feels like this might be a form of recreation she Absolutely Has to Try...but regardless, I just don't think they're bringing the right energy to it 😂

I'm only ranking the actual crew here but I gotta say, the character I see as the most likely to actually dm is Jake Sisko and…sorry Jake, I love you, but I think he’d be bad at it 😂 like he’d be way too hung up on what he’s written and not keyed in enough to player experience, he would be having a great time but the players would be confused and maybe bored.
