Aaaa first request thank you!!! I didn’t know MizuShiho was even a thing lol, but it seems cute! I started writing these a few weeks ago then completely forgot to finish :’) I decided to try and do a few for both, I hope you like them, sorry for the late post anon! - Pink!

🎀🍜• Mizuki was the one to ask you and Shiho out. They knew they liked the both of you and wanted to ask you out as soon as possible. Mizuki may have made a small scene out of it, bringing you and Shiho a bouquet each and telling a romantic and well rehearsed confession. They would’ve done more but after a discussion with Ena they toned it down just a bit. The confession leaves you and Shiho flustered either way!

🎀🍜• At the beginning of the relationship, the going to different schools thing seemed like it would be a problem but after a few weeks all confusion about different school schedules disappeared when meeting at parks and the mall after school became an almost everyday thing. If Shiho has band practice after school on one of the meet-up days she won’t skip it, but depending on her mood she might miss out on the last 5 minutes of practice to see you two, and even though Mizuki doesn’t go to school very often they’ll gladly take the after school meet-ups with you and Shiho as an excuse to walk you both around the mall!

🎀🍜• Dates with these two are usually things like going to the mall, going on walks or just chilling at one of your houses ( normally yours or Mizuki’s, Shiho doesn’t like going to hers cause Shizuku won’t leave her alone about how cute the three of you are! ). Sometimes you’ll go to the arcade and have competitions about who can get the most tickets, these dates always end with Mizuki pulling you and Shiho into a Photo Booth for cute date photos!

🎀🍜• Once in a blue moon Shiho will let you and Mizuki have tickets to see Leo/Need so you can watch her play. I say once in a blue moon because to get said tickets off Shiho takes a lot of pestering and saying you both won’t go overboard with the support. One Shiho eventually cracks, you and Mizuki definitely will go overboard with the support, showing up to the concert decked out in custom made Leo/Need and Shiho themed Merch. Shiho hasn’t asked the live house security to remove you two yet, but she’s gotten close. You and Mizuki would do anything to show your love for your girlfriend!

🎀🍜• These two would be good at comfort. No matter what your problem is, they know how to make you feel better about it. Mizuki’s good at calming you down through hugs, kisses, cuddles and whatever else you may need, whereas Shiho is great at talking you through your emotions and figuring out a solution for them.

🎀🎧• Ok they probably confessed to you like they were asking you to prom. They were already together before asking you out so they wanted to make a big thing out of it. They had a lot of out there ideas on how to ask you out, An had to stop the both of them when Mizuki thought of getting Rui to build a small airplane they could attach a banner to with “ please go out with us “ written on it.

🎀🎧• You and Mizuki often go to An’s Vivids / VBS gigs at live houses. It’s very easy to tell that you are An’s biggest fans, going to the live houses way before the events start so that you can make sure you have front row seats to see your favourite singer and shouting words of encouragement at her so that she knows you both love and support her!

🎀🎧• An would give you and Mizuki free drinks and snacks from Weekend Garage whenever you want them! She’d make you specialty drinks on your birthdays and would treat you and Mizuki to any of your favourite menu items on your anniversaries!

🎀🎧• Dates with the two of them would definitely be entertaining! The two of them would take you out to places like bowling alleys, cinemas and on shopping trips! Even though dates like that are more common, Mizuki and An also aren’t against chill dates like staying at home together or going to cute cafes!

But when you confront him yourself, he can’t keep lying to himself about his actions being harmless to you. They caused you stress and paranoia, and it’s all his fault

In the end, his sincere and heartfelt apology will most likely convince you to forgive him and to propose that you put this situation behind you, which he is more than thankful for

thank you for this ask omg…… i love akaashi so much so i am absolutely down :D it’ll be probably way shorter than atsumu’s tho bc his place in the story is a bit more minor, esp post timeskip

once again big manga spoilers warning (mostly chapters 327-337 that i highly recommend reading both to understand what i’m talking about and simply bc they’re just wonderful imo)!!!! 

so, if i mentioned his place in the story, i’ll start with that once again, just to establish necessary roles and what it means about what we know about him as a character!

akaashi is a p minor character, unfortunately. however! he and fukurodani as a whole do have this interesting role - they’re never an actual enemy for karasuno, so their arcs are way shorter, but they are characters that show up often enough to need to establish personality for some of them and story for their group as a whole, and i think furudate did this nicely by focusing mostly on bokuto and akaashi and giving a lot of insight to their dynamic specifically!

sooooo they’re not an enemy, but they do return, yeah got that. what role do they serve though? i’d say bokuto is obviously a mentor character (that changes at some point but yeah), but what does that make akaashi? 

honestly, when it comes to the protags, he’s more of a supporting character, there to fill some gaps and give breaks from the main story. maybe serving a minor mentor role by helping out in the third gym arc, but he doesn’t actually do any mentoring tbh? not that it’s a bad thing!

i guess you could. you could. you c. akaashi is. you can say that akaashi is. akaashi is- he’s the protagonist of his own world------- 

^fr tho, that’s p much his role imo? like, in fukurodani’s arcs, especially the mujinazaka match (which i think is their longest and imo deepest arc for them??), akaashi is the closest thing the story has for a protagonist. we see his thoughts, his feelings, his flashbacks. like damn even bokuto’s flashbacks are like 80% from akaashi’s eyes (he also has another temporary minor role i will elaborate on later).

while we don’t get to see a lot of his psych, this structure does allow us to dive a bit more deeply into the amount we do get. 

and what we see is, and i say this with all the love i can muster, a mess™.

like, there’s a reason he highkey breaks down in the mujinazaka match. his mind works,, so much?? we got glimpses into that before, but they were mostly humorous and just shed light on his dynamic with bokuto rather than a lot about akaashi’s personality (it did show that he’s the worried type, puts a lot of care into making sure his team is okay, and does so in an orderly manner like how he numbers bokuto’s weaknesses, for example. basically that he’s 1 very caring 2 willing to take responsibility over other people for their own well being). 

this match did show us some more: he’s insecure, he’s overthinking, he feels a heightened sense of responsibility - way more than we’ve seen before that - and guilt due to that. he’s more determined than we’ve seen him be before, probably because of that sense of responsibility (the whole “this is a match we definitely can’t lose” thing is honestly mostly him putting immense amounts of needless pressure on himself, and bokuto justifiably calls him out on that both during and after that match).

akaashi is very logical, but he tends to get lost in his own head and drown in that same logic. that’s why he’s thinking ahead, and planning so many different scenarios and how they’ll happen, but this is why he eventually falls - things don’t go as he plans. he even calls himself out on it when he’s eventually benched, with the whole “the unthinkable happened, i felt as though i controlled bokuto-san”, which tbh i think is so good for him and why i think this arc is also akaashi’s personal character arc that helps him eventually learn and change 

also, as i promised, i think his other minor role in the story is to serve - along with other setters in the story - as a mirror to kageyama

specifically because of his insecurities, his whole “i’m not as good as kageyama or atsumu” inner monologue, and because kageyama on the other hand thinks super highly of akaashi and sees him as this setter he needs to live up to, and one he gets jealous of hinata for practicing with (man this sentence was hard to phrase).

unfortunately, though the timeskip i dunno if we really get to see much of akaashi’s character develop or seeing other sides of him, but we do see he’s still as analytical as before, but that instead of trying to force bokuto into terms he can personally understand, he just goes with bokuto’s personal logic (tbh at this pace i’d need to write a whole separate analysis on their dynamic specifically lol), which i think shows he became at least a bit looser and a bit more okay with being,, less in control than before, in a fittingly subtle way!

Aaaa, yes. (￣ω￣;) Yet another student Berenice can recruit into her NRC trouble-making gang. Several years of half-death have done nothing to correct her ways.

However, if we’re talking about Berenice’s 1st honest impression of Acelica, she probably felt amused by her more than anything else. The proper ojou-sama facade Acelica puts up was far too obvious to Berenice, leading her to become persistent on breaking it down asap. There’s no way for someone to be that dignified all the time. This was Night Raven College, after all! She knew that all the students that came through those doors had at least 1 secret up their sleeves. Once Berenice caught Acelica showing her true colors, the part-ghost became delighted with the reveal of this hidden thrill-seeking personality, eager to help Acelica out on her endeavors. Berenice knew what it was like to be bored, and she wouldn’t wish that kind of torture onto anybody.

“Ahaha!! You’re a hundred years too early to pull a fast one over me! Try again next time, San-san~!”

Look (✧ω✧) If I can’t get away with touching San’s fluffy hair, then Berenice will go in place of me instead. He can’t lay a hand on her when she shifts to her default ghost mode, and she’s already partly dead, so (╯✧▽✧)╯

As for her actual thoughts on him, Berenice thinks of him as a fun victim for her pranks. She respects how much chaos he can stir up on his own, but messing with him was far too good an opportunity to waste. The popular types,too, are one of the many kinds of victims she goes for due to how many people surround them on a daily basis. >:3c Just like a bait attracting more prey… She’ll also show up at the most random moments just to get a reaction out of him, often when he’s in the middle of stealing something (where Berenice will probably snatch the object from his hands and reprimand him for his actions before disappearing with the item/throwing it out a window/handing it back. depends on which option would cause the most trouble/confusion). 

Kodi

I’ve called Kodi a tool before, and Acelica can definitely unleash this boi’s full tool potential _(:3 」∠)_ RIP to Kodi’s dignity, you will be missed.

Since Acelica is a pretty ojou-sama type of girl and an underclassmen, it won’t be too hard to have Kodi wrapped around her finger the moment they meet each other. High society people and people who are younger than him are both types that he’s weak against, after all. Personally, Kodi will think of her as a sweet girl and won’t hesitate to do any favors for her should she ask. Even if Kodi catches Acelica in the act of doing something wrong, (after a small reprimand) he’ll try to get her out of trouble as best he can. He really strives to attain that image of a “kind, reliable upperclassman”, so he won’t turn against his precious kouhai that easily. Stroke his ego even more with honeyed compliments and (￣^￣)ゞ. Congratulations. You got yourself one ride or die fool for the taking.

“Umm, Heist-san?! Just a minute! I need to ask you something! Can you please tell me the secret to getting popul- Ah. He didn’t hear me…”

Ngl, Kodi’s lowkey jealous of San’s popularity lol. He won’t do anything to disturb him, but he’s also not above hovering around him in the background, taking notes on his actions so as to boost his own popularity. (￣ω￣;) Yes, the 2nd hand embarrassment is strong when it comes to Kodi, especially when he tries to imitate San right after taking said notes. Usually he ends up with complete failure, but thankfully no one notices him anyway. 

Kodi sees San as a really cool guy and admires him a lot. He doesn’t dote on him since he’s not an underclassmen of his, but he shows San a good amount of respect and usually stays out of his way so he could do his own thing. (╥﹏╥) If only he would pass to him more often in basketball club… 

Majid

“‘I’m boring?’ Then go buy your entertainment somewhere else. I don’t like being woken up.”

If these 2 weren’t in the same class, they probably wouldn’t even look the others’ way. I mean, sometimes they might run into each other whenever Majid chooses to nap in a high place like a tree, but otherwise (￣▽￣) nope. He has no interest in high society people. They were often the types to cover up their rotten hearts with their wealth and status, so he avoids having anything to do with them unless it’s to his advantage. 

His 1st impression of Acelica was pretty vague. Probably saw her as another one of those spoiled rich kids being supported by their rich family and immediately glossed over her existence. But once he sees her manipulation in action, Majid’s knee-jerk instinct will be to just avoid her completely. These damn aristocrats… Thinking that just because they’re a little better than other people that they can mess with them however they want… How despicable. Majid might become curious about her pocket watch, tho. Having an interest in all things jewelry related, he’ll be tempted to ask her to borrow it just so he could find a way to solve its little problem. 

“Jamil-senpai says I have to be more polite towards my seniors so.. *clears throat* Please shut up, Heist-senpai. I want to peacefully rest without your voice assaulting my poor eardrums everytime you walk by.”

I’m sorry m(_ _;m) Majid doesn’t like him either. He hates liars, thieves (altho Majid did steal from vendors when he was younger, he justifies that he only did so to survive and;;; he’s not;;;entirely wrong;;;), and loud upperclassmen, so San is the bane of his existence.  San better not take it a step further and steal Majid’s food otherwise the boi will throw hands b/c (눈_눈) this just got personal. 

I also found it funny how their origins too are complete opposites of each other. Whereas San came from a wealthy family and eventually ended up living in the streets, Majid went from living in the streets to accumulating a bunch of wealth for himself. Aaaa (￣▽￣) just another reason for Majid to avoid him. I think they might be able to bond through their hoarding habits, just don’t touch anything of Majid’s or he’ll go full Cave of Wonders on San (ーー;)

I, Never thought it could be like this. It should be ah wow it's all fun, And now, I think i feel strongly about them. Like I want to suffer with them. Okay. Um. Well. I need to know more about them. Mm can you please tell more about Asher? If I'm not mistaken. And I need to know more about Zuo's mom, because Iza like, Never know his family. I need to see how his mother interact with Iza? Aaaa I'm treading into an unknown zone. I shouldn't fall in love but i did.

I always feel really strongly about my boys lol since I did make them and stuff, even though the concept of Nekos is not new at all.

Lemme think here... Asher is a toddler like I think he’s like 2 or 3? Maybe 4 because they came up to Zuo and just got really attached to him. I know Asher only exist because an anon sent an ask about a child coming up to Zuo and making grabby hands at him I think? And, Zuo is kind of skittish around children but he just “eh...? Where’s you’re mom and dad kid.” And picked them up and just carried them around looking for his parents. Eventually, Zuo came to Iza and was just “Aye, hell me find this kids parents.” And iza was just smitten with Asher because Iza’s really motherly? Like, when he sees a kid he just “This is my kitten and I will take care of them.” So he agreed after Zuo “persuaded” him and it’s revealed that Asher’s parents are missing, but Iza doesn’t tell Zuo that, he tells him that he couldn’t find anything I think? And then you find out Iza had a part in Asher’s parents going missing.

Zuo’s mom is names Aiko! She was like Iza where she was also a pet, and since she is a female of course she was made to have children but she just “ewh...no I’ll just have this one and I’m leaving.” So she escaped, which I have to figure out tbh? Lol but she’s more of an npc. She took care of Zuo and they both did live on the streets so it was pretty rough for her. When Zuo was taken and thrown into pit fighting she was pretty frantic about it, and when he finally came home she was just crying because “I never thought I’d see my baby again.”

Mmh I do have a Drabble for Iza and Aiko interacting and it’s really sweet? Like, normally, Iza gets hissy about being around women because he finds it hard to be comfortable around them, but this was before Iza got like; sexually harassed and kept getting tied up by one SO he connected to Aiko really quickly and accepted her as his non-biological mom? And Aiko accepted him as her kitten because tbh; for all tense and purposes Iza may as well be an orphan kitten because he was taken away from his mom kind of early. That Drabble involes other characters and what was going on around that time I think...? Because he had an argument with another character that was causing a lot of problems like, problems outside of role play which shouldn’t happen because mun doesn’t equal muse but anyway, I wrote it to get Iza to apologize because he wouldn’t apologize lmfao, but it’s still an important interaction.

I’ll say that, between himself and these two other characters, they were boyfriend/girlfriend and Iza and the girlfriend were just close. The way the boyfriend and the way Iza cared for the girlfriend was so different and they butted heads so much like, they alllwaaaays argued over her. I never posted that Drabble, but I probably could because that whole situation ended up being done and over with a year or so ago. Here’s like an expert tho:

Iza was a stubborn man. He been alone for far too long to even consider anyone family. It was always something he would envy about people. At least they knew their parents and siblings. Who did Iza have? Aiko. Zuo’s mother.

She was the closest thing Iza had to a parent.

Right now Iza was sitting outside the operating room waiting for any type of news from the doctors. Anxiously he was waiting, his leg bouncing his elbows on his knees and hands folded in front of him. He heard from the nurses that someone had hit her with their car and took off before leaving him to his own devices.

How could anyone hit a neko and leave like that?

This was why Iza hated humans. They had always treated his kin as lower than human, and more like animals. The nurses were sweet, kind and apologetic about what had happened to Aiko. Iza returned a sad smile and thanked them before getting lost in thoughts.

“Excuse me.” spoke a soft voice.

“Hello, excuse me.” They spoke again this time waving a hand in front of the black feline’s face and seeing them become startled, she quickly apologized. “Sorry for scaring you, but if you wish to see your mother she is in room 213.”

An ear flicked at her words and Iza stood up to bow. “Thank you.” Quickly he left to find the room number.

Iza was afraid to see Aiko truthfully. He was afraid to see her hooked up to machines and in a cast and bandages. He was afraid of hospitals and being in one to see someone dear to him felt heavy on his shoulders, his chest and his heart. Iza wished Zuo was here with him but the cream-colored feline in question was out on a job.

Exactly one year ago, I posted my first Ninjago fanfiction on Tumblr

(Yes, this is one of these big and personal posts, but bear with me for a second ^w^)

I've already talked about how much Ninjago means to me, and what a positive impact it has had on my life, but to celebrate a year into this fandom, I'd like to focus on its community here on Tumblr.

I've always been into Ninjago. In fact, I started watching it back in 2011, when it first came out!

Later on, I discovered fanfiction. It was like a dream come true, to read original stories about my favorite ninja, and to write them myself too! Eventually I began posting them, and I must say... They weren't good XD

But hey, I loved writing them! So I did just that - I kept writing and writing, until... Well, I grew out of Ninjago when I reached 7th grade.

But last year, I decided to rewatch the entire series during Christmas break. It was like falling in love with my favorite ninja all over again.

And who would have thought there would be an active fanbase here on Tumblr?

I remember scrolling down the tag and smiling at every single artwork and piece of fanfic (+ memes, of course. Who can forget about memes?) that I found.

(And bruh, discovering bruiseshipping? Holy FSM, that was truly a Christmas miracle.)

On December 28th of 2017, I made my first Ninjago Vocal Cover.

The feedback I got was incredible. I had never, ever received such positive comments before, and the encouragement to do more helped me get out of the bad mental state I was in.

So I got writing again.

If I was going to post Ninjago, I was going to post Pixane.

So I did do that, and on January 1st of 2018, I posted my first Ninjago fanfiction in years.

Did I post it as soon as I finished it? Yes!

Had I beta-ed it? ... No...?

It was still a huge step for me though! Once that story was up, I was on freaking fire.

To make you understand, I published a total of 30 Ninjago related stories (and that was just the stuff I made public!)

I have never produced this much content before!

If that wasn't enough, I picked up my YouTube channel again, occasionally made some art, and heck, somehow I got motivated to clean up my room to make space for LEGOs.

I even had the pleasure of hosting a collaborative project with around 30 people! (Yes, the new one is on the way, we're all still working on it :D)

Suddenly I was motivated to do stuff, I wasn't sad all the time, I made new friends!

All that is because of YOU.

I'm just a random girl from Greece that happens to like a bunch of LEGO ninja. Yet, you've treated me with so much kindness, and made me feel like so much more than that.

I'm not oblivious to the fact that I am known inside this fanbase. I just want to make sure you know that you made my voice loud.

And for that, I am greatful.

I am greatful for the joy you've given me, and the memories I was able to make because of you.

I've always wanted this blog to be a place of positivity. It makes me so incredibly happy that you can seek to it to get away from everything else, that it makes you happy.

The way the words felt coming from him was stressful, to say the least. He felt like they'd been stuck in his throat all this time, and he had to force them out. And god, he wanted to let her go, he really, really did, but even though he'd tirelessly tried to, Julian just couldn't do it. He was confused, and scared, but he still told her everything. He told her how he couldn't think of anything but her, and how he just wanted to stay with her always, running from guards and sneaking into taverns as they seemed to constantly do. He told her that he couldn't keep pretending he wanted to leave, and that he just wanted to get everything out of his chest. Julian told her that he wanted her. He wanted nothing more than her.

He he felt ready to be made fun of, or just rejected, yelled at, anything but what she did. He was sure her interest in him was either not real or had absolutely faded completely when he broke down into an absolute mess and told her he couldn't be with her. He was the stupid one who had to start getting those unfortunately familiar, and still bittersweet feelings. But Julian didn't get any of that. Instead, he got her hand holding his, and the other holding his cheek. And it was all packed with a smile, and a "Me too, Doctor.".

He smiled too. A broken, quivering smile, but a smile nonetheless, and when she saw it, Aura felt like she didn't need to see anything else. That was undoubtedly the most wonderful thing in the world, and nobody would change her mind now.

"Please, just call me Ilya. You know I can't respond properly when you do tha- mmph." He was about to go back into one of his famous tangents, but her lips stopped him in his tracks. And just like that, Julian's cheeks were warming up all over again. They did that every time she was close to him. He couldn't help it. He didn't want to help it.

"If you call me Aura, sure." He pulled her closer, and she let him. The warmth, the thrill, and everything in between, it all made them feel like they could float. Her hand carefully held his cheek, lips aching for more of that sweet contact every time they pulled apart.

"Does that mean I get to be an utterly disgusting sap with you?" He snickered, and she laughed too. And by all the gods, she was incredible when she laughed.

"Oh, please be a sap with me." Aura wrapped her arms around him. He froze. Julian didn't know what to do for a second. It all felt warm, cozy, and comfortable, and most of all, not normal for him. But it was good. She buried her face in the crook of his neck, and he finally hugged her back. Tight. That was better. So much better. They felt like they could stay there forever, and never get tired of it. Julian could hold her all he wanted. Aura would be there to hold him, too.

They stayed like that for a few minutes. She could feel his heartbeat under the thin fabric of his shirt, and it felt like it was thanking god they were alone right now. Hers was doing that, too.

"Are you just gonna stand here?" He laughed, but didn't let go either. Julian just didn't want to do that. "I've got things to do, you know."

"Yeah, you probably have a lot of dramatic speeches to make in the next five minutes." She snuggled up closer. He sighed, and sounded content. It felt better like this. It felt right, being so close to each other, and feeling secure, but at the same time, like she could protect him. That was all he wanted right then. He didn't need anything else.

Aura was the one to let go first, but didn't quite pull away from him. He was still close enough she could see every detail in his wonderful complexion, and close enough he could get lost with his fingers tangled in her hair. What he still thought was just a messy, yet intense crush would eventually make Aura the person he fell the hardest for. He just didn't quite know that yet.

He felt her breath inching closer, and her lips closing up on his, but he pulled back. She looked down at the floor, with her cheeks burning and her heart still skipping a beat every now and then.

"S-Sorry…" He stuttered. Julian felt like a dumb kid all over again. He just didn't know if he was ready. He thought she'd be upset, and he'd only hurt her, but once again, Aura never failed to surprise him for the best. She smiled at him in a way only she could, and pressed a kiss to the bridge of his nose, which soothed him in a second.

"It's okay. I understand if you don't want to yet." She whispered, and he nodded in response. She was too good for him. He always thought that. Still does.

"Thank you." He whispered back, feeling his heartbeat calm down too. Julian still felt bad for it, but it was sweet of her to understand. Really sweet. One of the many small things Aura did for him and he never forgot, and won't ever forget. "You're beautiful, you know that? Especially when you smile."

"Pff, stop it." She laughed a little, and held both of his hands. He liked it when she did that. It made him feel better. Every single time. Even when he was at his worst, Aura would lay with him, hold his hand and talk to him until he felt okay. He couldn't ask for more than that, honestly. She was his everything.

She would always be his everything.

Youmacon 2017 Trip Report!

tl;dr version: An excellent con in which we had no real problems, and met/hung out with some really really great people. Thanks for the lovely weekend, Youmacon. 💖

Overall: Hoo boy, let's see. On the one hand, Team Four Star wasn't here this year, and the toku panelists couldn't get any panels, sooo it was a very freeform con for us this year. On the other hand, this might have been the most fun I've had at a con in a while! So, breaking it into my day-by-day highlights...

Day One:

Cosplay: Josuke Higashikata (with an Okuyasu and a Jotaro!) # of peoples’ days made: SO MANY. Events:

Chill chill day! Which is good because oh god I need to stop having problems getting to sleep the night before conventions. I think I got more sleep this year than I did in 2015, buuut I also was feeling a bit more under the weather all day. Sigh.

We were P4 Jojo's for our new cosplays this year -- mostly -- which, man, being JosuYasu is fun, but uh. Screw that wig. A little tempted to yell "NEVER AGAIN." Anyway, arrived at around 8AM, as usual.

Played some vidyagames in the arcade to eat up our morning, also as per usual. Taiko machine is so much fuuuun <3 Though we couldn't seem to find WBX in the song list this year. Probably I was too sleepy.

We got lots of recognition as Jojos, as an aside. Feels weird cosplaying something well-known, lol.

FIRST TIME VISITING THE TABLETOP ROOM. Holy hell it's a good way to kill time! We shoulda done this years ago. Anyway, then we went and had some soup for lunch, to kill time before...

Visiting the dealer's room, of course! As mentioned in the con loot post, we had an interesting time realizing that all the toku merch was in the VERY BACK.

Also, ran into c-chan! 💖 aaaa i’m sorry that i was super sleepy and didn’t realize you were saying “chace” and definitely not thinking I was cosplaying Chase for some reason XD I was slooow. But it was so nice to see you ;w;

Also met a cool toku merch guy and once more saw a lovely artist alley lady. (Bought a Ghost keychain from her last year. She always recognizes our cosplays and is so sweet~) Probably bought too much merch. No regrets.

But sadly, I really wasn't feeling well by 8PM, so I went and slept instead of going to MST4K. Still didn't get GREAT sleep, mind, but it was at least enough for...

Day Two!:

DEN-O CREW!! I'm glad we didn't retire the costumes this year like we were half-thinking to. Admittedly, we didn't get recognized very much, but as always, those who do get SO excited. And it was such fun for later.

Anyway, first real event of the day: Dealer's Room TRIP TWO! Did not buy very much this time though, just some stuff for friends.

But then on the way out to the ATM: Spotted by the Toku Panelist ToQgers (or some of them, anyway)!! Aaa!! Sadly, we couldn't get a COMPLETE ToQ/Den-O crossover, but understandable issues arose and all that. Still! So cool! And I’m glad I got a picture of Mio before she had to leave at least <3

And oh hey here’s my first ACTUAL attended panel of the con: Linkara! Live reviewing My Hero Academia! It was great, he was hilarious as usual and it's kinda fun to just see him enjoy a comic. I was a little sad that he didn’t have a new episode for us to watch, buuut I wasn’t really EXPECTING one either since he’s been overloaded with work schedules lately. And the Q&A bit he did instead was kinda fun too~

AFTER THAT, TOQGERS AND GAMES AND AAAA~ ... By which I mean some Toku Panelists (I know their names now and this feels surreal??) found us again, then we hit the Tabletop Room to play Ticket to Ride and Superfight. Which were both AMAZINGLY FUN. 💖

We also had an impromptu Unofficial Anti-Panel over dinner, which again was so cool but really like I said a bit surreal, just... casually gushing over tokusatsu with the people who got us into it & whose opinions we've been distantly respecting for years. XD Is that ‘surreal’ feeling weird? Maybe a little weird. I'd like to think I kept myself semi-cool though. Eheh.

Anywho, after dinner they had to go home, so we just chilled until MST4K. The Adventures of Panda Warrior is made of Nightmares and Frame Drops. That's. that's all i'm gonna say about it. I'm still not convinced that wasn't a fever dream. What the hell. I mean, the riffs were funny! But! That movie! What the hell!

(But also, one of the MST4K guys was super hyped to see our Den-O crew <3 and I love when they make occasional Kamen Rider references in their riffs, even if only some of us get them~)

Day Three:

sunday chillday hell yeah, time to be the TWO-IN-ONE DETECTIVE (Plus Eiji, plus Haruto :V)

Got waaay more recognition though! Weird! Maybe all the toku fans were mostly out on Sunday? Or maybe just running off to Tabletop with the ToQgers on Saturday limited our visibility, eheh

Anywho, after checking out and checking our bags, we just kinda chilled out until DEALER'S ROOM! LAST ONE!! Jamie had a couple more things he wanted to buy, aaand we wanted to see the nice art lady’s booth again ;w;

But also! We saw the toku panelists again! No DiEnd/Ankh though, I think, sadly. Ah well. So we just amorphous-blobbed through the dealer's room for a bit, which was fun~

Buuuut eventually we had to eat lunch, and then we just kinda chilled out for the brief time there was until we had to leave. Weirdly enough, I was less wiped out at this point than I normally am at the end of Youma... Weird.

Sooo yeah! Definitely had more fun on Saturday than usual, and a good chill con otherwise, which is extra good considering I was wiped out for much of it, oops XD;; There were a couple people I missed out on seeing, sadly, but other than that... yeah, no real problems or regrets this year.

Hi! I'm still kinda new to the blog and I was wondering what are the 'do and do-not' kind question I should do? Because im sure theres always that one ask thats just Innapropiated, like that one of Michael 'taking advantage og high Jeremy' that was just not cool.  i got this ask a lot so ill be clear with yall. im just not a big angst fan? so sending michael asks about his anxiety nonstop and about how he had a panic attack in the bathroom over and over again wasnt that fun. usually if it pertains the musical though you should be find sending an ask about it? but sometimes i get asks that are like “jeremy ur nothing and how does it feel knowing u fucked everything up” like homie how i think its feels? how u think hes gunna react to that? i made this blog to negate a lot of negativity in my own life so i can promise u im going to be answering asks mostly positive always forever. that being said tho i sometimes get asks pertaining to a few things that ive dealt with in the past and these topics make me very very uncomfortable. dont send asks about these topics please. this is the no no list

What was your inspiration for this blog? hoo boy well,,, ultimately i thought of them rooming together and got emotional and made a huge list of headcanons and was like ,,, why not run an askblog for a bit ill just abandon it after three asks lets have some fun. but somehow im still here and i got sucked in by the complexity of michael and jeremy. i know that sounds kinda silly but just, as someone who is dealing with a lot of similar things, like dependency issues and abandonment issues and depression and anxiety, having these fun functioning character to explore was such a gift for me. i believe honestly thats why im still here and doing this. being able to try and portray a healthy relationship and a healthy way of coping and growing has helped me a lot this past month and given me an outlet i didnt have before. TBH THO the main reason i made this blog if imma be real with u guys id because i didnt like the treatment of a lot of these issues in the fandom. it made me very upset to see depression used as an plot device and michaels dependency issues treated as romantic so i wanted to make a blog that had little to no angst. ANYWAYS somehow im still here ,,, gvrkjvrnkjfd sorry i rambled

i know this has been said before but i'm really really happy w how you're handling so many aspects of their characters. i.e. michael being trans, michael and jeremy's anxiety, michael's dependency issues, and other stuff i'm too tired to think of. you made the characters have even more depth than they did in the play and i'm rly grateful for the way you're dealing w my favorite boys. (also your richjake is suuuper adorable) ahhhhhh thank u so much? i talked a bit about this on my main but im really glad people are happy with my decision on this blog because im suPER SUPER NERvous anytime i post an ask dealing with these things. how come you just use sketch form for most of your drawing (sketches and uses sketch for the final result)? im ,,, not really sure what this is asking but i thnk its along the lines of why do i only sketch my answers?? and i do that because dude do u see how often i post and how lONG some of them are. i made this blog for fun and i love doing comics but i hate lineart and coloring and if i tried to churn out finished pics for every post id defs have given up a few asks in,, shrugs

an art style question. how do you keep the design of characters consistent from frame to frame? my characters they look a lil different every time I draw em (or a lot different) and it tends to disrupt the flow of my comics/animations ohh boy hoo wee props for doing animations im too scared to give that a whirl but!! it helps that i draw all the panels for an ask on one canvas! so if my next panel is going to be the same character in the same spot just in a diff pose i keep the lower layer on just at low opacity so i can use it as a ref! that helps me a lot!

Any advice for running an ask blog?? (Ps i love this blog keep it up) personally whats worked for me so far is doing just sketches for art. honestly ive been able to work so much more and post so much more often while also trying to work on my expressions and poses! also taking my own experiences and shaping them to fit the characters has been SO MUCH FUN. th most important thing tho is,,, dont overwork urself dude. if ur having a fun time it shows. if ur just forcing urself to churn out material and its not fun? like shit we doing this for free dont push urself? idk idk overall being looser with my art and writing the dialogue before hand has been the most helpful for me for this askblog! ive run a bunch before including @ask-maz and ive run that sporadically for ,, three or four years? its so funny cause u can see my art style juMP AROUND SO MUCH but i love that blog and i only update it like every other month or so but?? i still like doing it and no on likes those posts but it makes me smile so ANYWAYS

10 facts about trixie!

Oh wow, totally forgot I got this meme earlier this month??I’m sorry, buddy!

10 Trixie Facts:

* The protagonist adopted her, and they’d only been together for about three or four years before the zombie apocolypse started. But they’re absolutely, utterly a fire-forged bond that can never be broken. Mum spent like a decade trying to adopt a child, every time Trixie doubts that she’s really wanted her mother has a whole cabinet full of paperwork proving otherwise! And Trixie doubts so much because she was a ‘multiple offender’ at the foster home, she was almost adopted several times but all the people before Ms Boyd always returned her before even a year had passed. She was considered a problem case and so she became one, she became a cynical mess who never even tried anymore. But somehow this lady just would not give up on her no matter how much she tried to chase her away, and now she’s finally got the first stable home in her lifetime, and her first experience of a good parent......whiiiiich ended up being a problem, because Mum Boyd’s excessive optimism has led to keeping her daughter’s zombie around and pretending like nothing has happened. Trixie never predicted the full extent of her mother’s dedication on that day she asked “please never give up on me”.* At the start of the game, zombified Trixie’s awareness of this weird tall person who follows her around is pretty much a constant doubt emoji. So probably I’m gonna mix it up with occasional comedic interludes from her perspective, to break up all tha sad. Plus also to make it clear that this zombies do actually have some degree of a soul, and this isn’t just a story there’s no point in reading cos its guaranteed to have a bad ending.ANYWAY WHERE WAS IThe only part of herself she initially retained (aside from adorable grumpyness) was just this weird voice in the back of her head saying “Don’t eat this one.” And she’s pretty frustrated that it doesn’t even have the decency to run away like the others!She doesnt really know that she’s forgotten anything, so she’s been like

“Why is it here. What is happening. Its shaped like a thing but it isn’t. Why won’t it go away.”Just a wild haze of comparing this thing’s behaviours VS every other human, seriously where is the correlation, what is wrong with this “mum” and how do you define a “mum”. Is it like some sort of elite human superweapon??And even the heartfelt moments are totally ruined when you see inside Trixie’s head and she’s just like “WHY IT TOUCH ME”. Just slow zoom in on her terrified face mid-hug and the meme calculations fly across the screen..

* Eventually the conclusion she comes to is “It can’t be a food, it has to be another zombie.”When she first started trusting her mother again, it was from the perspective of a fellow predator, essentially. I mean, we have this nest here and we go hunting and scavenging together, right? We have those great bonding experiences like when we fought all those “bandit”! But this thing never seems to eat anything, and its weirdly obsessed with stuff that doesn’t matter, like these “money” that hurt my teeth.Conclusion: This is just a stupid zombie that needs my help to learn how to zombie.So she’s like a patronizing but affectionate tough love mentor to the Stupid Tall One, and sometimes she humours her and does the weird thing where you grab but do not eat each other. And I mean.. its a pretty sweet deal! It may be stupid but it’s tall! And it has a stick that goes boom! All i have to do in return is wear these weird itchy wool skins on top of my skin and not eat the other tall stupid things. It must be saving those for later.

* Aaaa I kinda have stopped doing Facts and its more like I’m just explaining the character’s story

* OKAY ACTUALLY A TRIVIA FACT:Trixie has a weird fascination with those shampoo bottles shaped like fishes.Or I might make up a new original equivelant to avoid copyright issues, lol. Some sort of animal-shaped packaging with a collectable aspect! I thought it would be a fun thing you could find in the game. This ruined post-apocolyptic world and you’re trying to assemble the full set just to see your kid smile again, even if only for a moment. Surprisingly sad moments from shampoo fish!Tho cos Trixie is so grumpy and cynical she’s a bit embarassed about this silly hobby and tries to deny it at every turn. Just like *ASBSOLUTE BEAMING KAWAII EYES* “I hate it. I hate it so much it must sit on this shelf so I can hate it forever.”I was thinking maybe even they could kinda fullfill a small purpose as a mini portable garden? You’d modify them into small plantpots and could grow some minor herbs and flowers that you can carry around in your backpack. Just a nice way to make things feel a bit more normal, which is kinda necessary to our protagonist mom’s mental health. optimism meter or somethin?

* She likes her hat a lot. I probably need to figure out how to draw it looking more beaten up and less matching with the rest of her outfit, its meant to be one of the few things she kept when she was just a regular roaming zombie. It was like the first sign her mum had that she did at least remember something of her old life.Oh, and her mum likes collecting different badges to put on it. It started off as kinda similar to putting a bell on a cat so you know when its trying to escape, but now Trixie’s grown to like this strange human invention of the jangly forehead noise. She’s learned to take it off when the two of them are doing stealth operations, and even use it as a distraction to misdirect the enemy. Or to get away from the Tall Stupid One for a moment. Seriously what a dope, this ‘mum’ actually thinks its got me trapped! (Though the mittens are far harder to outsmart, who invented this evil hand covering?)

* Gameplay-wise, i think Trixie would be like a powerful speedster compared to other zombies. Kids surviving the infection isnt very common, and they usually die off quickly. They’re obviously not as strong as normal ones and theyre not exactly gonna get any stronger. But her advantage is that she’s more mobile because there’s kinda less complex machinery to animate, yknow? She’s got more speed and she’s smaller than pretty much every other enemy on both sides of this conflict, she can rush in with a kind of stealth and dexterity nobody expected zombies to possess.And the condition progresses faster in younger hosts, so the more supernatural side of her abilities is already manifesting early on. Her conciousness isnt really coherant enough to learn how to use it though, at the start its just like randomized limit break type bursts of shadow energy.Though, I mean, this doesn’t mean that she isn’t a physical attacker. She’s just more like long strings of multiple-hit combos, getting the same result even with her much lower attack stats. And still, even a weak zombie is stronger than the strongest human, aka the mum. mum is like a super survival hulk who can lift a damn sofa over her head, but that doesnt really help when fighting zombs so she’s usually a ranged gunner instead. I feel like its gonna work in a kind of elemental triangle with like.. human ranged/’tech attacks’ are effective against zombies, and melee isnt, but then zombie melee is super powerful and they arent able to compete with humans when it comes to ranged strategy. And then when the enemy is human vs human, you have a lot more trouble doing complex gunfighting, and your melee can actually compete against each other. or something. i’ll figure out whatever works best!

* Oh, but I think trixie also has more tech attacks than other zombies, because her personality as a human was very cynical and always prepared for anything. But she’d start off with no techs and only develop them as she regains her memories.One cute idea I had was her being able to turn soda cans and mentos into distraction grenades, and then like one out of ten attacks actually deals damage instead. Cos when you’ve got everyone frustrated dodging your exploding cans, they dont expect just a full can of tuna to bean them in the forehead XD

* I haven’t fully developed the circumstances of how she got infected, but I think it’s something where both her and her mom blame themselves for it. Like, maybe it was a confrontation with bandits or something, and Trixie did something reckless that led to them getting caught? But then Mum is like ‘oh god I failed to proect you’ and blames herself for her naive shonen protagonist optimism causing her to fall for some sort of trick, and then Trixie got bitten while saving her from it. So really they both messed up, its just tragic that only one of them lived to learn from it...

* Oh and for Maximum Tragedy, I don’t think it was even a fatal wound. It was probably like just a really small scratch and Mum kept trying to reassure Trixie that it would be fine, sinking into delusion while her poor 11 year old kid is the one who realized she was gonna die and was the only one willing to do something about it. So she had to suffer slowly fading away from illness over the next week, being TERRIFIED that her mum was refusing to let her go, and any second now she could become a zombie and kill her while she wouldnt even try to defend herself. So in the end, while Mum was all sitting in the corner all “ha.. ha... its just an ordinary cold... gotta stay positive”, Trixie packed a small bag of personal effects and ran away into the night, to find a place to die alone.in the end though, she left it too late and couldnt make it very far. Her last memory as she lay there dying was seeing the silhouette of her mother appearing on the horizon and knowing she’d failed to protect her :(

* Fun fact: no failure of protection actually happened, the two of them are both still around one year later, and if this writer has any say in it then I’m gonna find some damn way to write a happy ending.>:(
