night palace (new mount eerie album) is so good, like so interesting and experimental and like all the good things from his discography but new and fresh and played with renewed energy. each song leads into the next rly well like through contrast or just flowing together, but each is interesting and varied enough that it doesnt blur. the whole thing is a dark blue night on a mountain and by the end i felt like i was inside a glacier

anon, that's such a good question! but also so incredibly difficult to answer because I suck at choosing just one song. songs like spit of you by sam fender, all of my love and good times bad times, fool in the rain and in my time of dying by led zeppelin, back to the old house by the smiths, hunger by florence + the machine, driver's seat by madds buckley, putting the dog to sleep by the antlers, not strong enough by boygenuis, adam raised a cain and something in the night by bruce springsteen, no complaints by noah kahan, dive by holly humberstone. I know I know, this isn't at all an answer to your question because there isn't just one song (or maybe there is, but the answer would change depending on the day, I guess). I associate all of the above with dean in one way or another. there is this song I've been listening to, and that's literally stuck in my head for days now called women's jeans by xambassadors (blame the fic I'm working on). so this one would be my answer for today?
