Y’know, sometimes it’s kinda awkward to be a narusakusasu/sasusakunaru shipper lmao.

You kinda just sit back and watch the two fandoms be hostile to each other/insult each other and their “toxic ships” and hurl names like children.

Thinking about how Sasuke is the Naruto character BY FAR most reduced to being a peice of shipping fodder, existing exclusively to orbit the other half of a ship... when his canon story was motivated completely by a deep love for his family, people and later, his brother.

Both his biggest shipping fandoms do this, and then you have the dudebros who only care about his "cold" moments, while characterizing him as some emo psychopath.

As a result, his character has been dragged through the mud, warped and misunderstood by almost the entire fanbase.

Surely, but

Surely Naruto and Sakura love Sasuke.

But Naruto couldn't stand him because he was more popular.

But Naruto say that Sasuke is not worthy of the Uchiha clan.

But Sakura was willing to set him up for Naruto's dream.

But they were both ready to sacrifice him and their lives for a simple scroll.

But they called him a coward for wanting to survive.

Surely they care about him.

But Naruto still fought Sasuke as soon as he got out of his hospital bed, instead of refusing him.

Surely they respect him.

But they tried to manipulate his guilt into keeping him with them.

But Sasuke agreed to stay with them only when he had lost absolutely everything.

Surely they wanted to bring him home.

- Heals hundreds of injured patients during the pain arc.

- Saves Tami from being attacked by the giant Centipede.

- Always tries to lift up Naruto's spirit despite being down herself. (In case of Sasuke and Tsunade)

- Decides to take the burden of killing Sasuke,the man she loves upon herself, just for Naruto's,Sasuke's, and Konoha's sake. Just to protect them in her own way. Even though she knew she was going to die.

- Let's patients in the medical camp during the war, knowing that they could be the white zetsus... But still can't let go of her kind heart.

You know, I understand why people ship sns, I see this connection that can be interpreted romantically. But I don't understand why people think that Sasuke's reluctance to return to the village and to Naruto is more abusive behavior than saying "I'll break your legs so you go back to the village" or "you and I will die and we'll both meet in the next life" is considered something romantic and caring.

Maybe, MAYBE I'm reading the wrong translation. But still, this obsession is not very healthy.

Sasuke doesn't only care about one person. He doesn't exist to orbit the other half of a ship. He isn't limited to loving only a ship half. Sasuke has many bonds, and is the most loving character in Naruto.

Stop reducing Sasuke to being a ship half and erasing his other bonds and his character.

Sashke doesn't only care about Naruto, only care about Sakura etc. though he definitely does care about them both a lot. He is the most loving character in the whole series.
