I'm a pro-Palestinian Jew. I'm also a Zionist.

And despite what you may think, these two statements are not contradictory.

I support Palestinians' rights to a state of their own, their right to food and water and humanitarian aid, their right to peace, their right to live as equal citizens in Israel, and their right to live in the Levant.

I also support Jews' rights to a state of their own, their right to food and water and humanitarian aid, their right to peace, their right to live as equal citizens in a future state of Palestine, and their right to live in the Levant.

Neither Israelis nor Palestinians are going anywhere. They don't have anywhere to go. Neither group should be expelled and neither group should be oppressed.

I also recognize that Israel has caused harm to Palestinians, and Palestine has caused harm to Israelis. In the end, if we truly want peace, both groups are probably going to have to forgive things no one should have to forgive.

But if we spend all our time blaming people and talking about all the faults of the "other side", we're not going to move forward. If we refuse to work together, we will be unable to build a better future.

hi, I was looking through the Armenian Miku tags on here and saw your post. I got curious and looked through your blog a little because initially I wanted to chime in and say a lot of Armenian and Azeri culture is similar and has been for thousands of years (just look at zhingalov hats! or how similar our traditional dress is!), and the outrage is stupid esp. when it comes from people who only learned about everything recently and have no idea how we were able to coexist long before any of this happened. But it felt weird to reblog and say that so I didn’t.

anyway. I lurked your tumblr and saw you post about Armenia occasionally and it warmed my heart to see how much you appreciate and admire our culture. No matter what the future holds, I hope our two nations can find peace one day. We are not always fairly represented by those who govern us, and we as people are more alike than not—both sides need to realize that. Maybe we’ll get lucky and see a day in our lifetimes where Azeris and Armenians alike can enjoy a cup of coffee in Karabakh/Artsakh, but until that day comes, I hope you know people like you are a light in the dark for people like me, and as long as people like you exist, peace doesn’t feel like a pipe dream for either of us. ❤️

Really???? It helps? Anh.. I'm so happy to find I'm useful in what I translate of my own experiences to help anyone who wishes to hear it.

It's helped me in my thoughts and feelings for so long in many instances of the subjects I cover, I've thought about the words inside and out almost like a mantra to myself for a long time in those energies and I think my best writing comes out in what I hold passion, and seeing good humans make it is RIGHT up there in respects to something I feel pretty comfortable teaching about with a background of difficult and niche life experiences, and I needed to hear much of it myself but didn't get it until it was a lesson my own.

I just want to see humanity make it. Empathetic humans, goofy humans, dorky humans, tall humans, short humans, big humans, little humans, happy looking humans, sad looking humans, humans with sorrow, humans with anger, humans with aches and yearning and pain,.

We as a whole deserve better. Especially for ourselves in many cases. If I can make someone's day feel a bit less punishing because they deserved to hear how smart they are, how seen they are, included, welcome,. They should and do deserve to hear that no matter what. Humans matter because we exist. Because we make the active choice to make it to today. Tomorrow and so on. And I'm proud as shit of everyone who's here today with me. For being here. Period.
