6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? surprisingly, it's not the fic that's all about grief and recovery. it's a star wars drabble, changing of the guard.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? the joke answer is quid pro quo. (because it's smut.) but most of my endings tend to be content or hopeful if not happy, so this is hard to quantify for me.

8. Do you get hate on fics? not as of yet, but given i write cloneshipping i'm honestly just bracing for it to happen at some point

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? indeed i do. i currently only have one smut thing uploaded, so idk if i can say anything for certain about trends, but given my wips... emotional sex and smut as character studies seem to be my thing.

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? oh man. definitely the will to carry on and the couple of stranger things wips in my wip file. not that i don't love the stories anymore, but certain parts of the fandom annoyed me right out of any inspiration or desire to touch anything related to said fandom with a twelve foot pole.

16. What are your writing strengths? i like to think i'm good with characterization and dialogue.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? writing anything longer than 3k words max lmao though that has been improving lately and i have high hopes for the sev fic getting finished

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? there... there is a whole can of worms here that this question opens for me and i don't think anyone wants my ramble about dialogue, other languages, conlangs, dialects, and the effects of having been in anime fandom for so long so. this is not getting answered other than with a shrug

Whelp, I am writing a quick outline of this Post-Order 66 Grey-Depa-Caleb fic and am re-watching TBB ep1 as well as planning on re-reading the Kanan comics.

I guess this fic really is gonna happen now. Pffft. I rarely write actual outlines for fanfics, I'm more of a fly by the seat of my pants and go with the vague string of scenes I have circling around in my head sort of writer.

I want to be more organized as a writer but my brain really doesn't work that way most of the time. So we'll see how this goes, I guess.

I kinda lowkey want to slip some of my pro Depa/Grey bias in there cause I do love that pairing but the evil part of my brain is like "'But what if Grey and Styles are both in love with her from afar but don't think they don't stand a chance because she is a Jedi and therefore as far beyond their reach as the moon is in the sky and they settle on a two sad clowns afair where their longing for Depa draws them together. And then Grey has to kill Styles to protect her?"

And I am finding it difficult to come up with a counterargument for this and very-well may lose to my own evil side. I've never actually written clonecest though and I'm high-key unsure if I want to deal with the potential flammers that inevitably come from that.

I have always been pretty neutral on it but have never really written it unless you cound Waxer and Boil in my modern AU where they are definitely not relatec thing. Of course I feel like Waxer/Boil is the gateway cloneship pairing. Pffft. We all love our gay clone dads who adopt their adorable twi'lek kiddo and love to say fuck canon they get to live happily ever after. So I've definitely always espoused a sorta 'do whatever you want' mentality when it comes to clonecest pairings but actually writing it is a little fraught with anxiety for me.

Of course, I'm also a grown-ass woman who has zero problems with telling people they can kindly fuck off if someone does come at me for writing it. But man the shit I've seen in this fandom at times it can be so horribly toxic and wrapped up in pearl-clutching where they are willing to demonize other people just for writing a pairing they don't like.

It's fucking wild. I don't put up with that shit and don't engage with people who do that but even I see it in my little bubble and it blows my mind cause it's fucking pixels and fictional characters. Ya'll do know that, right?

So I dunno, do I go for the painful gut punch here? I guess I'll see when I'm writing this.

I also need to edit the next chapter of Seeds For the Future but uggggggggh I don't wanna.

One of these days I will write all the shenanigans that happen to my CG!wolves in this game I play. Like, for example

Hound came back from hunting with an STD on his second day on the job.

Fox got mange twice in one week.

I pairbonded Fox and Thorn but forgot to trans Thorn's gender and then I had a quest to breed two wolves together and Thorn was the only one in heat. (Thorn is now pregnant with four puppies, due in less than a week.)

Thire's name is actually "tired" because I have a pack theme going in a different language.

Fox' strength stat is almost ridiculously op

Also when the cg hunting team comes back with no kills sometimes the flavor text straight up blames Fox for it. (Unfortunately, Fox let the prey slip away!)

Thorn looks pink. Hound looks yellow.

Hound's dad was the last leader of my pack and he was raised by his older sister who is even more insane than he is and also in charge of raising and training puppies.

Thorn and Hound are half-siblings, Thorn is older.

Fox' parents were named Squirrel and Chipmunk and he looks almost exactly like Chipmunk.

Hound, Stone, and Thire trained together. Thorn and Fox trained on their own.

Thire is the oldest, has a grey patch, and will be retiring soon to become a pup mentor.

The age order is Thire, Stone, Fox, Thorn, Hound.

I haven't found a replacement for Thire on the hunting team yet but they will be named Sniffer, like my name for the second, unnamed k9 trooper.

You know I feel like a lot of people (antis) miss the target when they talk about cloneshipping and why a person might be into it. Because personally the reason I’m into clone/clone ships isn’t that I think two identical hot people would be even hotter together (tho i’m not judging if that is the reason for some) but rather that clone/clone ships are completly centered on the clones and clone culture. 

Jedi/Clone ships have a tendancy to end up completley centering the jedi (especially in codywan fic) and often view clones only through their relationship to the jedi. And that’s not really what I’m looking for when i go to read fic about clones. 

I like clone culture, musings on identity when everyone shares your face, examinations of the seriously messed up fact that clones were literally made to be an army of slaves, and ideas on how culture might develop in a situation like this.

I honestly only got into cloneshipping because of some really good Clone/Clone fic I found while searching for fic that developed clone culture (Good Order and Discipline, go read it yall!) 

So it always annoys me when antis assume that people only like clone/clone ships because they are “fetishizing poc” or some other bullshit.

I generally prefer fics about either getting together, or facing an outside conflict together. I'm not a fan of plots that feature almost breaking up due to interpersonal conflicts. If they almost break up due to an outside force (e.g. a third party is trying to push one into a political marriage, someone is kidnapped, that sort of thing), then it's fine, but I don't like 'well, you work too much and it's really putting a strain on the relationship' type stuff. Speedbumps on the way to the relationship are fine, though.

Regarding my unwanted list

Basic ship things:

No Barr*ssoka.

I do not care about cloneshipping, but would prefer it be in the background if it's there at all.

I do not mind CodyWan, but would prefer it be in the background if it's there at all.

No Master/Padawan. I have exceptions when reading, but for an exchange, I'd prefer not to have any in my gift.

While I do love poly, please stick to the ships requested for the main ship. (If there are two or more that have overlapping characters, though, feel free to smush them together, e.g. Jango/Ahsoka and Ahsoka/Quinlan are on there, so Jango/Ahsoka/Quinlan would be fine)

Basic character/setting things:

No character bashing.

The whole Anakin/Consequences movement is one that I dislike immensely. If you don't know what it is, you're probably not doing it. If you do know what it is, then you know what I mean here.

It is very common/popular to write Qui-Gon as a neglectful, cold, or downright abusive caregiver/parent figure to the children in his care. I do not like this in the slightest.

For some reason, a lot of writers are very casual about violating a character's bodily autonomy "for their own good." I don't like this (unless it's horror, but that's a different topic), and ask that you refrain from having characters do something like that for a character's own good unless there are some massive extenuating circumstances.

I'm pro-Jedi and pro-New Mandos. I do not want anything that suggests they: - deserved what happened to them - needed to change or learn to accept more militant values/that attachment is good - were stealing/brainwashing children or engaging in cultural genocide

That said, I'm fine with Jedi choosing to leave the Order if given a reason to. (e.g. Obi-Wan deciding to stay on Melida/Daan because the Force insisted he should Because Reasons is fine)

I do like the True Mandos but please don't lionize them.

I have minimal interest in the Original Trilogy and no interest in the Sequels; my mind is squarely in the Prequels and pre-canon era. - That said, I do delight in having baby versions of the characters present; I am always open to toddler Skywalker twins cameo. - I'm not very into the Bad Batch. Cameos are fine.

Basic vibe things:

I do not want PWP, and figured it's easier to just do a blanket "no thanks" on smut and kink than try to navigate the details.

I am not a fan of sexual tension being the primary driver of the romance. I'm on the ace spectrum myself, and it always rings false to me.

If you write Rebellion/OT setting versions of the ships, please don't go hard on the clones being Old.

As much as I love a/b/o, I do not want it here, thank you.

Also not super into folkore AUs or vampire/werewolf AUs.

These are not prompts! These are just me trying to explain why/how I ship them, and the vibes I usually go for.

Ships I've enjoyed in theory or in fic, in both canon and weird AUs:

Anakin Skywalker/Cody I'm a huge fan of Anakin really, really wanting to impress Cody, and Cody being very hard to impress, but easily amused by Anakin's attempts. They're as close to equals as a clone and a natborn can be, and I think there's a lot to be explored with them.

Rex/Asajj Ventress Rex also does not want to be doing what he is doing. This crush is a terrible idea but holy shit he's doing it anyway. Ventress is fascinated by him despite herself.

Padme Amidala/Asajj Ventress: Padme "I can fix her" Amidala and Asajj "what is wrong with you do you not have a sense of self-preservation" Ventress

Barriss Offee/Anakin Skywalker Did you know they're only two years apart in canon? I like to imagine their hypothetical interactions during or after the war, when Barriss is either on her way to a Fall (cynical and losing faith, but not yet there) or recovering/on parole and learning to trust in the Force again, while Anakin is... basically on that same journey, but a few years ahead. He's already had his big horrible moment on Tatooine, and he relates to her in ways most of her peers can't.

Anakin Skywalker/Bo-Katan Kryze They are nightmare children to their respective older siblings and I adore them.

Shmi Skywalker/Mace Windu I haven't seen this ship before but I saw it in the tags list and I am Intrigued. Stepdad Mace is definitely fun, or we can always go with a "new bio dad for Ani" AU.

Jango Fett/Shmi Skywalker Two characters who are canonically defined by their parenthood (Shmi only exists because of Darth Vader's role in the OT; Jango only exists because of Boba's) but have been given more personality and backstory by extended canon, and I just. They have some very mixed up Traumas and Ethics. Shmi would have so many opinions on his actions. But also there is room for another bio-dad for Ani thing, if you want.

Qui-Gon Jinn/Jaster Mereel I haven't really seen this ship but I want to imagine them running into each other during the Obitine Year on the Run and just being Grumpy Old Men about having to pretend they don't notice the teenagers sneaking off for suspiciously long firewood gathering trips.

Anakin Skywalker/Torrent Company ...listen. IDK what to say about this. Anakin just really wants to make it up to his men for being in this situation. It's not a healthy dynamic and is driven at least partly by guilt.

Satine Kryze/Quinlan Vos Haven't read it before but HEY just be nice to Satine and I'll probably enjoy it.

Satine Kryze/Asajj Ventress Please just imagine Satine being a disciplinary partner who's teaching Ventress how to be a better person but they have to be really weird about it so that Ventress doesn't spook and run off because people are being Too Nice to her.

Jango Fett/Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze POLITICAL NONSENSE AT ITS FINEST

Quinlan Vos/Obi-Wan Kenobi This is technically one of my OTPs but there's enough of it around that I'm not bothered if it's skipped. IDK why but I default to one of them being a trans dude for this ship more often than not.

Luminara Unduli/Obi-Wan Kenobi I think they'd be very chill and that Luminara is so calm and nice and polite that when she does make a snippy comment about a rude senator or something, Obi-Wna is the only one that gets it and he is delighted by the quiet sass.

Luminara Unduli/Obi-Wan Kenobi/Quinlan Vos Mix of the above, with an added dash of "one of us is masquerading as the brain cell but we're actually all here for the chaos."

Feemor/Shmi Skywalker I'd never heard of it until I saw the tag in this exchange but it looks like A LOT of fun.

Meanwhile, Cody is also pragmatic, but he's the kind of capable that covers Shmi's own unskilled areas (primarily combat), that doesn't try to ignore or over-pity her history as a slave, and is capable of dealing with her superpowered child without being overwhelmed by the Force Abilities.

Anakin Skywalker/Mace Windu With an age difference at play, this is just... an explosion of Anakin's daddy issues, and Mace just humoring those issues, where Anakin is really into him but also really angry about it. Yes he wants to impress Mace. Yes he is also a little dedicated to pissing Mace off. It's complicated. (Please have Anakin being at least 23 if they've got an age difference of over a decade on.) Without the age difference, it's still the daddy issues, except this time Mace doesn't know what the hell he did to earn Anakin's complicated feelings.

Anakin Skywalker/Luminara Unduli I like the idea of Luminara being interested in a guy who is so totally the polar opposite of her. She doesn't want to fix him, but wants to be around him, and wants to be around that fire and passion, even if she has to rein him in once in a while. Anakin, meanwhile, finds her a genuinely calming presence, and the smiles and touches she graces him with when he does something difficult have him wanting to make her proud.

Bo-Katan Kryze/Ahsoka Tano NGL I'm mostly invested in either time-travel where Bo-Katan is inexplicably obsessed with a significantly more martial Jedi than the average, or canon timeline where the two of them are regularly coming to each other for comfort or help in the aftermath of RotS.

Jango Fett/Ahsoka Tano I've written so many time-travel fics about these two and all I can say is that I love Jango being reluctantly in love with a Jedi, because he shouldn't like her (either because Galidraan already happened and he's angry about it, or Galidraan hasn't happened but he's Mando and she's Jedi), while Ahsoka has some Conflicted Feelings about Jango because of the clones.

First off, thank you for writing something for me! I kind of go blank when it comes to filling out those likes and dislikes so here’s me rambling about the kinds of things I like and don’t like to help me figure it out. Any particular specifics do not have to be adhered to, aside from avoiding the DNW and dislikes.

CodyQuinObi- Post war No Order 66, Obi-Wan is at a loss with so much less to focus on, Cody is doing his own thing to discover who he is, but is missing Obi-Wan, Quinlan is worried about Obi-Wan and tries to get him and Cody together (in spite of his own feelings)

Haja/Reva- In Kenobi when she confronts them, they realize they’re soulmates

Any Quinlan pairing- he’s technically still considered a prince on Kiffu. Potential/actual partners find out on accident

QuinObi- Can’t seem to find the right time to get together (long missions, Anakin doesn’t like Quinlan/is insecure about Obi-Wan splitting time, the war etc) until they finally do get to have their first date

Rex/Zeb- Ezra (and Sabine) got them into a tricky situation.

Feral/Quinlan- Quinlan crash lands on Dathomir shortly before Ventress does her tests to pick Savage.

Beru/Owen/Obi- People in town assume, and they end up going with it until it accidentally becomes real

I like just about any AU aside from ones that don’t take place in the GFFA. Those AUs can be hit or miss so probably better to avoid in an exchange like this.

I love Jedi as family.

I love clones and Jedi helping each other in some way. (such as, Jedi are in a poor position, Clones help them fight the Senate/leave Republic, Jedi help clones find themselves and establish their lives) 

I love angst so long as there’s a happy ending (see: Don Bluth movies)

I like explorations of sexuality and gender, particularly those that explore asexuality and agender identity. (I do hc Quinlan as Agender and Obi-Wan as some variant of sex neutralish asexual) 

Love some autism/adhd hc, particularly ADHD Obi-Wan and ADHD Quinlan. I have ADHD and see myself in both of them.

Pro-Jedi all the way. Individuals are problems, but not the group as a whole and not the Council in the clone wars. They were trying their best and I prefer to look at it from a hopeful perspective than picking apart all their ‘wrong’ choices (assuming those choices are actually ‘wrong’)

I like cloneshipping but more as a background than a main thing. 

I don’t mind bad things like rape/non-con, or torture happening, just not explicitly written. Implied and talked about after is fine. Love that angst and catharsis

Pregnancy and childbirth is always interesting to explore as I have gone through it so I Know things. 

Any characters interacting with kids is just fantastic. 

I love misunderstood characters, insecure characters. Characters that secretly think people would be better off without them. That sort of thing is always fun, and the more they don’t appear like that sort of character, the better (favorite character with this rn is Quinlan)

Healthy communication is best. They can start out unhealthy as long as they work towards healthy. As long as they are trying. And even good partners can make mistakes but they still come together to discuss it eventually. 

Meditations, lightsaber, give me all the Jedi hc. 

Chronic pain, particularly from migraines is always fun to explore.

I don’t mind implications of sex, fade to black scene but anything explicit? Nope. Do not want to read it. 

Also not fond of sexual attraction playing a part in a large portion of the story (asexual person here does not want to read about that) or characters being sluts/always having sex. (Yes, asexuals can enjoy sex and all; I am married with kids, but I also like seeing restraint especially from a healthy relationship perspective)

I don’t like Anakin portrayed as good if he is in character. Absolutely do not portray him like canon if you are going to write him as good, make him less toxic/angry/etc. Why? Because I see Anakin written like in canon, and all I see is my mom who should never have been a parent. I have no patience for that kind of thing. This does mean I am perfectly okay with Anakin bashing, Falling etc. 

I don’t like canon Jedi characters leaving the Jedi or never being a Jedi. I LOVE the Jedi, so it’s just. Not really fun to read for me especially since a good portion of those come off as not Jedi friendly.

Speaking of. No attachment equals love, the Jedi are a cult, Jedi are emotionless, etc, UNLESS it is presented in a way that shows that the person saying that is wrong/doesn’t know what they’re talking about/malicious etc. Such as it coming from Anakin and everyone else being like ‘uh. no.’

I’m not super fond of clones having their own culture. Especially the Mando clones. It just doesn’t make sense to me that they would come out of Kamino with a set culture, Mando or not, just some norms that come about from being raised the way they were. Maybe a few little things they don’t know the origin of but picked up from trainers or older clones. 

Related, I’m also not fond of the clones have everything figured out so they know what’s best, whether it’s emotions, relationships, health, work-life balance etc. They don’t have the experience to know better than experienced Jedi. And the way such things get written, especially when it comes to medical issues is very... infantilizing and I would never trust those clones again in the Jedi’s shoes (usually Obi-Wan).

I don’t like characters being jerks, even if it’s meant to be joking/teasing. For sensitive people that can be still feel real rather than a joke/teasing so it’s just a no go for me. 

Sith/Dark AU No. Just. No. Characters can temporarily slip up and struggle, but not embrace it. 

Don’t want major character deaths. Fake outs are great, fantastic though. All the angst but happy ending.

I enjoy writing whole paragraphs to clearly describe the environment or emotional states, situations, but also like it when an impassioned dialogue is written concisely and with a high response rate.

My AO3 and Twitter (which you can suss out with minimal effort just searching through my #twitter tag) boxes? Empty! My AO3 is in my bio you lazy walnut! My only "crime"? Cloneshipping. I have a Master/Padawan tag on here that leads right to a Kanezra post! I've got Obikin, Kanezra, and Anasoka tags on here too! I've got plenty of Rexsoka reblogs, too, not to mention! I literally wrote Ahsoka/Jango! What do I gotta do to get a little credit around here?!

Also, also! They've got a little "evidence" box for links to "proof", like we're committing crimes or something, and all they've got for mine is the "cloneshipping" tag! The audacity! The laziness! At least link my "the clones aren't siblings but the term clonecest has a sexy and spicy something to it" tag, you lazy butt!
