The Queen Bee and the Vesperia Chapter 3 Up Now!

To anyone who follows my @pro-bee-sisters blog, Chapter 3 of The Queen Bee and the Vesperia has been posted recently on my Fanfiction.net account!

Here, not only do Chloe and Zoe finally meet for the first time, but we also get a rewrite of "Style Queen" and how Chloe became Queen Bee in this AU!

Miraculous: Tales of Kitty Noire and Scarabella [Malta's Edition]

I wanted to make my own AU/universe headcanon after watching the special haha xD of how the show would play out if like, Zoe and Alya were the main characters.

The story would star Zoe (Lee) Bourgeois, daughter of famous fashion magazine director Audrey Bourgeois and stepdaughter to Andre Bourgeois the mayor of Paris. She was born to an unnamed Mr.Lee, but her biological father and mother quickly separated and she was raised with her mother in Paris. Her mother remarried and gave birth to Chloe before moving back to the US leaving both her children in Paris.

Zoe attends school with Chloe, but Chloe didn't want to be a grade below her sister, so at some point Zoe had to repeat a grade.

Zoe's friends are Marinette, Alix and occasionally Rose, Juleka and Mylene, while Chloe sticks with Sabrina, and Adrien is her childhood friend still. (I headcanon that Adrien is closer to Chloe because Zoe would just often be outside and hanging out with her other friends while Chloe stayed indoors a lot)

When the new school year starts, Alya and Adrien are the new students, and they quickly make friends over that - as well as befriending Nino and Marinette respectively.

They become Kitty Noire and Scarabella because they are the ones to run into and help Fu. The stories of their adventures would then just be the usual - just a different dynamic between the heroes.

Another canon divergence is that in this universe, Emilie is the butterfly user and the one who's still alive - Natalie our bi queen will still be Mayura before the peacock miraculous is fixed - and felix is gone (sorry felix loves) and Adrien sort of takes his place. - - - - - -

Love Square/Relationships:

Zoe's crushes: Marinette (past) and Scarabella. Alya's crush: Nino and slightly Zoe & Marinette [Bi queen] Marinette: Adrien & Scarabella Alix: n/a [aroace queen] Chloe: Marinette Nino: Alya Adrien: Marinette The others are pretty much like canon I guess xD - - - - - -

Miraculouses:

Zoe: Cat Alya: Ladybug Marinette: Fox Nino: Turtle Chloe: Bee Alix: Rabbit Gabriel: Peacock Emilie: Butterfly Adrien: Peacock - - - - - -

I think Marinette would then end up knowing Alya's identity, while Chloe finds out Zoe's. Chloe is a mean brat in the universe, but she gets her deserved redemption!! Other notes? Lila comes in the picture, and is just Lila. I like her as a lying baddie. Kagami, she's just there. Maybe small rivalry with Zoe, but she's cool for the most part.

Say, recall that post on how Season1 to 3 could be done with the revised Butterfly? I realize one could get the same general plot beats out of season 4 with it & the 12 Kwami too... Well kinda.

Here's how I'd do it if I had to stick to some things bit not others XD

Season 3: As before, Kim was Tiger King & Chat Blanc was more like a prophecy. Also Gabriel steals the Miraculous that weren't being used, Mouse & Peacock.

Miracle Queen is slightly altered to show more sympathy for Chloe, either with her being an Akuma kid, so Gabriel forcibly Akumtizes her, or showing how unstable her head-space is.

Rather than declaring for Hawk Moth, Chloe just tries to run but its seen as an admission of guilt by the heroes who don't ear her out.

Season 4: Marinette & Adrien's whole arc is grappling with issues of trust, forgiveness, looking back and realizing mistakes sometimes in time other times too late & the increasingly crushing weight of their duties. Overall mostly the same-ish, the differences come from the villains and can be broken into 4 quarters.

Quarter 1: Truth & Lies is one episode, Gabriel has been subtly negging Kagami & having Lila through one means or another stoke paranoia in Luka. He uses Mullo to duplicate his Akuma & transforms them both at the same time, as well as giving them Familiars. He uses the Peaock to transmute their physical forms to make them more dangerous or hard to hit.

This nearly wins him the day, Marinette has to pull on most reserve heroes & uses a combo of Multi-Mouse & Trixx to protect her identity, which coincides with her having to reveal her identity to Alya to get the job done. The big reason he loses is the Kwami didn't tell him that while adults can use the powers more than once, they can still be hurt overdoing it, so Gabriel collapses from the strain & is pissed.

Stuck on more subtle methods for the next quarter he persists in trying to low key undermine Kagami, Chloe, harass the other temp heroes & uses Lila as his on the ground scout. She's living alone in a new apartment now with her mother thinking she's at a fancy boarding school & she's clearly... struggling, but doubling down thinking she can somehow 'win'.

The other big shift if Chloe's head-space is less pro Hawk Moth and more bitter cynic about the heroes. Sabrina notes she thinks 'something' happened on Miracle Queen Day but Chloe can't/wont talk about it.

Sole Queen happens here with her trying to be a good big sister, IE:

"Dressing and acting this way is expected, this is how we avoid mothers wrath, don't fall for fathers sad dog act give him an inch & he takes a mile. Our classmates have no sympathy for people who aren't doormats & if you want to resist Hawk Moth you have to be strong!"

The pressure she puts on Zoe is a microcosm of the pressure she's under & Zoe snaps. Then gets accepted by the class which Chloe has mixed vibes on at best. Their relationship persists a little longer n that Adrien & Chloe "I want this to work but not on your terms" and Chloe's "I want this to work but I need more from you than you give."

Quarter 2: Alya has been helping Marinette cover her identity, serving as substitute Ladybug and the "new" fox.

Lila continues stalking & sabotage. Chloe's head space continues to deteriorate, while others like Kagami also show issues they get sufficient support that it doesn't break them.

Queen Bananas is actually a major episode two one scene. When the movie is being discussed in class, Chloe is absent. It cuts to Gabriel's Manor where a very frazzled Chloe is being given a manipulative spiel about how "This movie is for you, to finally say your piece and have people hear you."

When she leaves she sees a similarly frazzled Lila being shooed away, "You are not meant to come here in daylight" and the two hair a brief stare off before looking away and pretending they didn't see the other. Besides that, when Gabriel sabotages 'her' movie and gives it to the class in secret, Chloe's breakdown reaches peak.

This is also where she realizes Gabriel is Hawk Moth intensifying her lashing out at Adrien, "Were you in on this!? Of course you don't understand you never listen!" and as Queen Banana she is extra unhinged. Still, nefore she transformed she was shown scribbling "Gabriel = Hawk Moth" on her arm.

Quarter 3: Lila has been stalking Alya and while nothing is confirmed, (To Gabriel) he does know she's still in Ladybug's confidence. Cue all that noise.

Alya almost gives in, but doesn't solely cos she knows Marinette's identity. IE, she would have gone Miracle Queen for her family too, but she had more reason to trust Ladybug.

Despite the win, this is where Alya has to publicly quit being Ladybug's ally because she's endangering her family.

& worse? The fox is missing.

Lila has it, but Hawk Moth doesn't know.

At the end of this quarter Gabriel is back to using all three Miraculous baby!

Penal Team is the culmination of Chloe's anger at the heroes, isolation from support & rejection by others all manifesting in a massive:

"You want a monster, I'll give you a monster like you've never seen!"

This also breaks between Chloe & Sabrina; potentially on purpose. The battle is hard and hectic & Ladybug has to call on many heroes to win & they ultimately end up in a stalemate.

Chloe's anger is to uncontrolled to articulate anything beyond vagaries abut being left exposed, how she thinks Hawk Moth will win, s just trying to survive, ETC. When looked back on it makes a major point but in the moment it gets a:

"This is why you were never fit to be a hero!"

Which ends up leaving her so depressed, along with the stalemate that she forcibly kicks Hawk Moth out of her head and just... Quits.

Lila comes to recruit her at the end of it but Chloe is looking at the broken glasses and smirking, stopping Lila in her tracks by asking if she wants a jib.

Quarter 4: Adrien is still being sent on some kind of tour, or Felix has some kind of prank (Seemingly) planned for the event. Either way Marinette needs to get in to see him for sentimental reasons like passing on a gift from class or to stop the "Prank" (the whole thing with the rings)

She is surprised that Jean seemed leery to add her to the staff when Zoe used her Chloe impersonation though. As well as confused there's another "new staffer" Its Chloe in a bird mask. Yet a confident, swaggering Chloe is also attending the party, whaaaat?

Yeah its Lila using Glamour and make up to pass as Chloe.

Meanwhile Chloe breaks into Gabriel's office, finds the secret entryway and basically holds reveling the truth or Emilie's life hostage in a very. "Yes I'll go down but I will take you down with me" way. Forcing Gabriel to surrender the Peacock "He used it least so he's likely to give it up" and swear to leave her loved one's alone.

He bitterly does so before Akumatizing himself to try and get it back.

Lila gets a message telling her to leave & that Chloe will be leaving Paris that night if she wants to come. Lila is unsure caught between escape or finding a way to do more than 'run and hide', but either trust Ladybug enough to jus tell her this stuff. So she gets caught & Gabriel realizes she had the Fox but she loses it.

The episode ends on a disguised Chloe getting a hotel room in London, having used the transmutation power to make gold.

The big finale is basically built around a major scheme of Gabriel's.

Like canon in that respect but also him offering Lila a "Chance at redemption". Which comes with incredible danger!

She manages to play her part well, in part by figuring out Ladybug's identity and does actually steal all her Miraculous, including Tikki.

Buuuut she doesn't trust Gabriel and when he does indeed turn on her she manages to slip away with Tikki & maybe one other.

She returns it to Marinette & gives her a brief summary of, "Hawk Moth is Gabriel, he messed with out heads, betrayed us, and was always going to throw us away, & I don't know what to do anymore."

Exactly what state she's in when its all over, or if its even her who makes the delivery or a Kwami she gave the Miraculous too, or if she stays in Paris are all unclear. The underlying theme is she got dragged in too deep and taken advantage of by a adult manipulator. & that she didn't think anyone would believe her or care once she knew how bad it was. So rather than trying to get out (As Choe did) she tried to turn the game on him and uuh, it didn't pan out.

This episode would also likely involve Adrien also discovering the truth about Gabriel & basically needing to run like hell, but he can't contact Ladybug about it in time.

Season ends on Marinette & Adrien revealing their identities as they resolve to continue the fight.

Chloe is shown watching Hawk Moth's dramatic "I will soon win!" proclamation with Doosoo insinuating she'll be making a comeback in Season 5.

Not sure what would happen there, but yeah. that's a general idea anyway XD

What would be the perfect "Miraculous team" for you?

At this point, the characters that do stand out most to me as major players that could be on a plausible team are: Marinette, Adrien, Felix, Alya, Nino, Kagami, and Zoe.

Honorable mentions/maybes: Ali, Aurore, Chloe, Lila, Juleka, Ivan, and Kim.

Marinette is a must. I do really enjoy writing her, and making my desired tweaks, and it is kinda a shame a lot of recent writing with her is in salt response to canon treatment. It's a big part of the reason I'm on an ML writing break. But she's a must. Most likely with kwami swaps as I am kinda done with her as Ladybug and working off Tikki. Tikki I think could better serve elsewhere and Marinette could be refreshing working off a different personality.

Adrien by default is kinda a must, though his biggest help is that he has a lot of options in what can be done with him. Could go along canon as starting off as a goofball hero that will get serious (though still keep his sense of humor), and be at a crossroads of working with his father or going against him. He could also work with Gabriel at the start, either openly or secretly, and through friendship finds himself as a crossroad. Could also do him joining later, initially exploring him as a civilian, maybe he runs the Ladyblog and wants to unmask heroes and he's extra excited cause his father is actually supportive and invested in his interest. There's some good options for him.

Felix is a must, partly from bias, but he does have a good established arc from starting as an antagonistic loner to turning to a true hero. And the stiff, skeptic, passive aggressive personality he can have could be a good counter to other personalities. And if you want to work off cnaon, he can go absolute gremlin.

Alya is another must. Frustrating as she is, she's a character I see a lot of potential for. Like, a lot of the "lessons" Marinette is expected to learn would better apply to her. And like Adrien, she'd be a great character if she was allowed to learn and improve. And I see a lot of potential in exploring her as a hero at the start, cause you got Alya wanting to start out for glory and attention, kinda treats it as a game initially, and she's on the side of reckless with secrecy, and I just see a lot of good potential for her as a major lead to follow at the start. Learning that heroing isn't all fun and glory, sometimes it's hard, and with reveals, there are pros to it, but there are also cons. She could really add to the secrecy vs reveal debate.

Nino is kinda here by default, but the boy needs something. Ideally something to let him stand on his own, especially outside Alya and Adrien. And one of the best ways to do that is explore him as a Miraculous hero at the start. And he wants to be a film director, so, maybe his focus arc could relate to leadership, learning to develop those skills, awareness of his team and what they can do, and how to best direct them. I will say, of this list, I could also roll with Nino as the supportive civilian friend who grounds one of the leads as he is a character who doesn't have a lot going on.

Kagami, despite all her issues as a character, is a character that caught my attention in Riptose. And while she got a lot of odd choices and polarizing characterization, taking the scattered pieces I can see a potential character being crafted. You got potential in her as the blunt ice queen who's overly dedicated and a little too serious, she wants to make friends but she's socially awkward and can come off as mean, she wants to make her mom proud but she also feels stifled. And by her official skills, she's one of the few characters that could actually vigilante and help the heroes without a Miraculous, or try to compete with them as her mom is tasking her with the chance to fight superhumans and prove herself.

Zoe is in a weird boat as she came in so late and I stopped watching ML so I didn't click with her all that well, but seeing more of her as Kitty and the apparent partner for Alya, it did prompt me to think and consider her more and brainstorm ideas. There's definitely something to work off of with her wanting to please Chloe and pretending to follow her along, but that's not who Zoe is and she can have an arc of figuring herself out, dealing with the tension and mistrust that her relation with Chloe brings, and letting herself flourish. Adjustments though would have to be made for her to come in sooner or be at Paris at the start, either as Chloe's younger sister or maybe twin, or her cousin, or we rip off the bandaid of the vague Bourgeois union, say they're divorced, and Audrey remarried and Zoe is Chloe's stepsister and she's up in Paris so they can "bond". I will say, with her coming in so late, she's also a character I can just exclude.

For honorable mentions where I can see potential or fun or I wish they had more attention:

Ali has a lot of the same appeals as Adrien, is shown to be very sweet, and I am bummed so little was done with him. He's not present enough to warrant being on the main team, but I like him enough that I should try and write more with him.

Chloe I can acknowledge has potential as a character, and that chance of a redemption arc is there, and she can be loads of fun to write. But I also feel irritated with her as she was a waste of time. I get they were halfheartedly going for "will she be good or will she be evil", but it was such a butcher job and you could tell the team was split, and instead of compromising, they just put in both potential to be good and her clearly not going to get better. And I'm just stuck in that irritating spot where I can SEE the potential but she may ultimately better serve as a villain/antagonist.

And this is where Aurore comes in, having all the perks of Chloe being haughty and proud, but none of the downsides. She was a lot of fun to write in Leave for Mendeleiev, and honestly, when I started ML with Stormy Weather, I actually thought she was a major character since she had the initial focus point. Color me surprise when she ultimately became a background character. And then disappeared for a while.

Lila is in a similar boat to Chloe, and honestly between them on who should get a redemption, it's pretty even them for me as they're both terrible. But we didn't NEED two mean girls to go against Marinette. Now, if they were a rival/foil to another character, and Marinette just worked mostly off one of them, then having two mean girls could've worked better. Either way, Lila redemption would have to be around Volpina, cause Chameleon and onward is a trainwreck and there's no way to pick up the pieces of that. And for a chracter who lies a lot, can be petty and spiteful, she has promise to be a lot of fun, and to bring a lot of chaos.

Between the two Couffaine siblings, Juleka is the one I see a lot of potential for writing wise, as she does have that established struggle of trying to find her voice. And by her livelihood, you could play off the comedy of her being chaotic but chill, and ready to take things to the extremes (like kidnapping). And there's the friendship potential that canon tapped into with her and Marinette's shared interest in fashion (I actually think that if the show was more realistic on friend pairs, Marinette would've been in a trio with Juleka and Rose).

Kim is on this list because he cracks me up. Peak himbo but surprisingly wise. That is if we can ignore how he got ruined in s5.

Lastly, Ivan. He was actually the first classmate I really paid attention to, and I saw a promising story to work off with him. Watching Origins, you see most of the class is intimidated by him, so I thought he could have an arc of changing people's perspective, instead of him being feared he's seen as a protector. Which kinda got speedran in the background, but I guess we can't have a plus size character as the focal point. But I'd like to do him as a major lead sometime.

Akuma/Theater Kids Mother’s Day Plans

Marinette sewed a beautiful new Hanfu for Sabine and they got dinner at her favorite restaurant. She also went on a motorcycle ride around Paris with Gina.

Alya, Nora and the twins spent all day in the kitchen cooking an entire Martiniquan banquet for Marlena. Alya also made a montage of photos and videos with her mom for her personal blog.

Nino made a mix of all of Margie’s favorite songs and he and Chris made her favorite dessert. Well, they tried to…

Chloe stole Audrey’s credit card and went on a shopping spree with Zoe.

Sabrina and Tanya went on a mother-daughter shopping trip and got dinner together.

Juleka and Luka treated Anarka (with help from the rest of Kitty Section) to a performance of a bombastic heavy metal version of Drunken Sailor, and they all slept on the deck under the stars.

Rose cleaned the entire house for Lily and arranged a beautifully decorated tea party for the two of them in the backyard.

Kim and his sisters took Mai to an indoor extreme sports facility…and she proceeded to completely kick her children’s asses.

With Markov’s help, Max made his mother an incredibly detailed digital holographic map of the known universe.

Alix and Salma went bungee-jumping before going to dinner and a pro-wrestling match.

Ivan (with help from his dad) made Galina a new bench for her garden, where she likes to sit and read. (it had the family’s names carved in Russian.)

Nathaniel painted a mural for Aya’s cafe of their whole family, and took his mother out for lunch.

Missy visited her mother’s grave and left flowers, sitting to talk to her for a while.

Jesse took Imelda to a local flower show, and they made dinner together. (Mylene also made a flower wreath and card for Imelda, because that woman is more of a mother to her than her own ever was.)

Ayesha made a hand-drawn animation for Megan as card outlining the reasons why she loved her.

Dot and Dolores spent the day helping Enid reorganize the house.

Petra and her godmother went to a pottery studio together, making gifts for each other and for Petra’s dads.

Roxie took Rydel to a concert for a band she loved, who happened to be performing in Paris.

Anthony bought Sylvie a basket of all her favorite teas and they had a horror movie marathon.

Candace and Sandra had a mother-daughter spa day.

Eri and Ryuji took Sasami to a showing of one of her childhood favorite plays, and after that they all gave each other makeovers.

Staci and Yumei just went out on a walk around Paris, doing whatever they felt like.

Margo and Dagny spent the entire day baking and doing crafts together.

Brecken and his sisters made a quilt with treasured family pictures for Rachel and spent the day helping Annie at the shelter.

Soo-Yeon, like Alya, spent all day making Mi Cha’s favorite foods, and after that, they played one-on-one basketball in the backyard.

Parker and Cissy did a mother-daughter obstacle course and went to the gym together.

Mona and Bindi had a movie night and bought all the junk food they could possibly eat.

Evie wrote and performed a song for Carolina, with parts for each of her siblings.

Eloise and Chet had a gaming session with Roerva, who’s actually better than both of them.

Anais took Olive out for dinner and got her a card. Their mother isn’t one for big gestures of affection.

Ondine and her brothers made the mistake of trying to make Haggis like Elsie’s mother would, but…they ended up just ordering a pizza and watching a movie.

Lê Chiên Kim/ Roi Singe

Quirk: Uproar (Whenever Kim touches someone with all five fingers of his hand, that person's quirk goes completely out of control for five minuets!)

Kim is a star swimmer from Vietnam and an up and coming pro hero student... those are mostly his only good qualities. Back home, Kim was really know for the jokes he played on his other classmates. Some of them were just harmless pranks. Some of them were Kim using his quirk on other students, causing massive mayhem.

Kim's best friends: Max, Eijiro, Denki

Zoé Lee/ Vesperia

Quirk: Wasp (Zoe can do anything a wasp can! Including wings on her back that allow her to fly, antenna on her head that she can use sense smells outside the human range, and fingernails that are made out of the same material as a wasps stinger.)

Zoé Lee is the daughter of the dead rich man Mr. Lee and the world famous fashion designer / Pro Hero, Audrey Bourgeois. Her whole life, her mother molded Zoé into her image: a "proper" evil rich woman. Zoé kept up the act for most of her life, even making friends with the vilest rich kids imaginable. But everything changed when Zoé fell in love with a 'common' girl. Her friends shunned her, and her mother decided to get her out of the picture by sending her away to U.A. But Zoé will have her revenge, she knows that her mother is making deals with villains in exchange for wealth. Now, she just needs to learn how to prove it.

Zoe' friend: Shoto

Rose Lavillant/ Princess Fragrance

Quirk: Perfume (Rose's body emits a natural perfume that she can use to change other people's emotions. She mainly uses her quirk to stun people with happiness.)

Rose Lavillant is another exchange student from France and Juleka's girlfrend. She has an inherited illness but is properly medicated for hero work and is surrounded by love from her family and girlfriend. Rose is a bi lebebad. Rose is a bi lessbien... Rose like Juleka.

Rose's best friends: Juleka, Ochako, Mina

Juleka Couffaine/ Tigress Pourpre

Quirk: Tigress (Juleka can do anything a tiger can! Including be big and punch scratch people to death!)

Juleka Couffaine is the daughter of Anarka Couffaine, the ex wife of pro hero Jagged Stone and mother of Luka Couffaine. Juleka barely knows her brother because her father took him away. Juleka dosen't have many friends at school except her girlfriend Rose. All her life, Juleka feels like she was background character... but now, a change. Juleka is attending U.A. far away from home with her girlfriend and is finnaly going to spend time with her brother! Nothing could ruin this... except Chloe & Sabrina being there.

Juleka's best friends: Rose, Luka, Kyoka, Fumikage

Sabrina Raincomprix/ Vanisher

Quirk: Vanish (By relaxing her vocal cords, Sabrina can turn her body invisible. She can also extend her invisibility to objects she touches.)

Sabrina Raincomprix is the daughter of the police chief of Paris and best friends with Chloe Bourgeois. Once, they were equals, real best friends. But Chloe's quirk & her father changed her for the worst. She began seeing the people around her as tools to mock and laugh at. Sabrina mocked them too, laughed at them too, liked bullying the others with her best friend... until Chloe started bullying her. Chloe thinks that without her, Sabrina has nothing. But Sabrina knows that without her, Chloe is the one that has nothing. Blowing up her dad's life savings so she can attend U.A. along with the blonde, Sabrina is determined to make Chloe her real best friend again, even if it means making her feel worthless... or making everyone else feel worthless.

Some of the "Scarlett Coccinelle and Kitty Noire AU" (where Chloé and Zoé are holders of Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses) ideas I have:

- All main characters in this AU are 15-17 years old and they are starting their first year in lyceé;

- Chloé and Zoé are twins sisters, Audrey and André are their parents;

- Both Chloé and Zoé are huge superhero geeks, they have a lot of comics;

- Since childhood, they both shares all the things they have between each other;

- "If you're gonna hurt my sister, I'll gonna kill you" (said by both Chloé and Zoé);

- When they both get the Miraculouses and became superheroines, their first reaction was pure joy;

- They get the Miraculouses at the same time, in the same place, so Tikki and Plagg knew who is the holder of the opposite Miraculous;

- Chloé and Zoé had the idea: since they are twins and know who they are, but the others don't, they decided to share the Miraculouses between each other. This means both Chloé and Zoé are Scarlett Coccinelle and Kitty Noire.

Absolutely love it! Can't wait to see more~!

ohhhh what a fantastic question! i have to assume that many of my best girls would be protected in the expansion draft… boston is not parting with megan keller, hilary knight, or sophie jaques; abby roque is staying put in nyc; minnesota is not letting lee stecklein go. however, seattle provided a top-notch welcome for the rivalry series and is generally regarded as a good location for women’s sports, so i think that’s going to give us a leg up on signing a beauty or two when they hit free agency.

maybe the expansion draft rules will be a little bit generous and i can scoop up jesse compher or jessica digiloramo? dominika lásková is probably too much to hope for.

i can definitely snag carly jackson, though! she’s gonna be my joey daccord. i’m also counting on my lil expansion team struggling long enough to get the top pick the year chloe primerano or nela lopušanová enters the draft. but most importantly, i’m pretty sure ZOE BOYD will be available in the expansion draft!!!! my team is already winning!!!!

i think an expansion team would likely stay on theme with the nautical branding and blue palette of seattle’s other pro sports teams, so i would sure love it if we could clear up whatever the trademark issue is and name our new pwhl team the seattle sockeye. boundless blue would be a good primary color to coordinate but not duplicate the kraken.

Thinking about the eternal theme of "who could help Chloe's improvement, besides of course Chloe herself". (Inspired to these thoughts by reading @pro-bee-sisters and some other blogs).

Marinette? I am not a fan of the idea. Marinette has been Chloe's preferred victim for years, and tons are already said on how the oppressed taking responsibility of fixing their oppressor is a harmful idea. Being called out by Marinette isn't going to help Chloe either, she doesn't care about her opinion and acts only worse when it happens.

Adrien? Could be a perfect chance - he is supposed to be close to her, never was her victim and has good conscience. But alas, factually only Season 1 Adrien could become a moral compass friend to Chloe. Season 2 Adrien shifts between empty treats of ending their friendship and enabling her by calling out her victims while still providing no personal support. Season 3 Adrien, if my memory serves right, does not interact with her at all. And Season 4-5 Adrien kind_of_attempts something such as trying to patiently explain to her in Queen Banana what she did wrong or attempting the same in Derision. If he did more of that (and preferably earlier), could have a chance.

Sabrina? Like Marinette, she was a victim of Chloe, but a different kind of that. I think if Sabrina gained confidence to stop being dependant on Chloe first and called her out, it could have effect. And if it made Chloe to humble down and act apologetic like she does in Sabrina's akuma episodes, it would NOT make Sabrina run back to be her sidekick (like in canon) but instead the freed!Sabrina would be willing to give her advice while drawing a firm line at enabling bad actions.

Other classmates? From what we know, most of them were Chloe's victims and/or scared of her at one point or another (besides the Season 1 instances of her being hurtful to Juleka, Rose, Mylene, Kim, Nath, Alya and Ivan, while one may think those were incidental occasions and not systematic, there is also the Darkblade information that she blackmailed the class repeatedly into choosing her representative). So better if no (see Marinette case above).

Luka (I have seen fans suggesting him a lot)? He is not connected with her directly through, and the only connections are negative (her treatment of Marinette and Juleka). Would being called out by a person she knows basically nothing about help Chloe? Not sure.

Kagami? Also few connections, mostly negative (rivalry over Adrien, Chloe's treatment of Marinette). Being called out by Kagami I think actually COULD help, Kagami is a kind if person who never would be scared of Chloe and whom Chloe has no power over (whether psychological or social), and clever enough for her critique of Chloe be legitimate and objective. Also Kagami is someone whose respect or friendship Chloe could want to have (she is a powerful girl, like Ladybug whom Chloe admired, and belongs to the high social class, which Chloe considers important).

Zoe? One of the best options: family member, not her victim at the point of her introduction, has dealt with similar environments. Really could work if she is both confident and friendly/supportive enough (and does not enable, which after her debut episode teaching her to be more open about her good self I think she is not likely to do).

Acho que ela definitivamente não faz parte dos que mal participam hasuahsa os roteiristas adicionam ela no plot sempre que podem, até o marc (e a maioria dos meninos), alix e afins se encaixariam mais nesse grupo que ela

Eu encaixaria ela no grupo junto com kagami, luka e felix: personagens secundários que não fazem parte da miracuclass, mas têm grande relevância em certas partes da narrativa (mesmo que não apareçam muito, quando aparecem eles são o foco de coisas importantes basicamente)

Eu também detesto o wayhem... ele é basicamente um fã obcecado que a série finge que é de boa. Ele era a oportunidade perfeita pra mostrar comportamentos tóxicos de fãs e fazer a marinette aprender com as próprias ações, percebendo o quanto as ações do wayhem são desconfortáveis pro adrien (e, consequentemente, entendendo que as dela também são erradas). Mas mesmo com o adrien (obviamente) ficando super desconfortável com ele, fizeram eles virarem amigos, então assim fhghsajfgsa acho uma péssima "lição" pro público

A ondine é ok? Ela quase não aparece pra dar pra fazer um julgamento... mas definitivamente foi muito paia o quão rápido ela perdoou o kim pelas merdas que ele fez com a marinette, considerando que ele sequer tinha reconhecido o erro até aquele dia e que ele SIMPLESMENTE CHAMOU A MENINA MAIS TÓXICA CONHECIDA DE LINDA E PERFEITA NA FRENTE DA NAMORADA. Esse mano definitivamente não merece ela e seria bom de quebra mostrar alguém sofrendo as consequências pelas próprias ações, mesmo que se arrependa depois (pra mostrar que você pode sim se arrepender, mas as pessoas têm direito total de ficarem chateadas com você e quererem se afastar, e que se você só se arrepende pra não perder isso, você não se arrependeu de verdade)

Agora, sobre a zoe... compartilho da opinião bem popular de que ela só foi criada pra substituir a chloe. Porque assim, é bem óbvio que foi por isso. Existia uma época perfeita pra introduzir ela, caso fosse pré-planejada: no arco da batalha das rainhas. Poderiam fazer o arco de "tentativa de redenção" da chloe muito melhor e de forma muito mais natural, dariam um contexto de uma possível rivalidade (pelo ponto de vista da chloe, que acharia que a zoe ganha mais atenção da mãe por viver em NY) e relação mais interessante, e deixariam claro desde cedo que a zoe era uma portadora em potencial. Não só isso, como tinha um enorme potencial em explorar a relação da própria zoe com a mãe, e mostrar que ela também era negligenciada mesmo vivendo no mesmo país que a mãe, coisa que poderia ser interessante tanto pra ela quanto pra chloe. Mas mesmo que ela não tivesse sido criada só pra essa "substituição", isso só comprovaria a incompetência dos roteiristas em introduzir bem a personagem, então assim hasauhduasds acho que seria pior

Mas bom, minha opinião sobre a zoe tem 2 pontos principais: a personalidade dela e o que tiveram medo de fazer

A personalidade dela consiste boa parte em "ser boazinha". Na maior parte do tempo, isso é tudo o que ela acaba sendo: uma personagem que faz coisas boas. E isso não é nem um pouco interessante de assistir, afinal, é meio que... mais do mesmo. Mas grande motivo dela ser mais detestada que outros personagens que sofrem o mesmo problema de pouca personalidade pra mim é, basicamente, toda a questão da forma como introduziram ela pra substituir a chloe (e, no mesmo timing, a forma como transformaram a chloe em alguém 100x pior), coisa que DAVA pra fazer direito, mas não souberam fazer. Até conseguiram fazer algo mais legal com ela em escolha dos kwamis e em uma cena aqui e ali, mas no geral, ela só não é uma personagem tão interessante de assistir. Também vejo muitos falando que "ela é melhor que a queen bee como heroína porque conseguiu usar bem o miraculous muito mais rápido", mas, honestamente, pra mim essa é uma das PIORES coisas que acontecem no quesito roteiro. Quanto mais rápido um personagem recebe um miraculous, menos desafios ele enfrenta, e mais querem enfiar na sua cara que ele é "naturalmente bom nisso". E, igual a grande maioria dos portadores, não tem graça nenhuma em ver alguém lidando TÃO bem com um poder que recém conheceram. Isso tira a magia em boa parte, e deixa as ações dos heróis serem só... mais do mesmo. E, de novo, a forma rápida que a marinette entrega um miraculous pra zoe faz parecer que ela só deu pra primeira pessoa que viu, e fica completamente forçado considerando há quão POUCO tempo ela conhece a zoe, e fica óbvio que tão tentando fazer o público gostar dela. Agora, isso quer dizer que a chloe receber um miraculous da ladybug não foi forçado? Não... mas vou comentar sobre isso no post sobre a chloe.

Mas a grande questão é: existe uma parte da personalidade da zoe que seria diferente da maioria dos personagens, e que tinha bastante potencial: a necessidade que ela sente de mentir pra se readaptar. E ela demonstra essa atitude em principalmente dois episódios, o introdutório (em que ela mente até perto do final) e se não me engano gabriel agreste (que ela mente pro jean sei-lá-oque). Mas é POUQUÍSSIMO tempo mostrando isso, sendo que é o atributo mais interessante dela... e, honestamente, eu *acho* que é porque eles associam isso a algo ruim. Pros roteiristas, ela mentir o tempo todo seria algo ruim (afinal, a lila, próxima antagonista principal, tem como característica principal as mentiras), e NÃO TEM como fazer uma personagem que eles querem que seja amada pelo público e seja considerada boa fazer coisas ruins, né? Por isso o ""arco"" em que ela mente pra se adaptar durou TÃO pouco. E foi justamente isso que jogou fora o que a gente podia ter recebido de melhor dessa personagem. A grande questão é que Miraculous NÃO sabe escrever bem personagens moralmente cinzas, e isso vale até pra personagens como o félix: mesmo que o personagem esteja fazendo algo ruim, eles SEMPRE vão ressaltar ou o lado ruim, ou o lado bom de uma ação de um personagem. Os personagens sempre vão estar ou certos, ou errados, e a gente nunca vai ter uma dúvida levantada intencionalmente sobre uma ação ser certa ou não, porque eles SEMPRE querem demonstrar, mesmo que no mínimo possível, se uma ação é certa ou errada. O que eu quero dizer com isso é: como eles não sabem escrever muito bem personagens bons com atitudes neutras (sendo lidas de fato como neutras), e como eles consideram mentira uma ação ruim (não só pra lila, até em muitas cenas da marinette, adrien e afins) no geral, acho que eles não quiseram muito seguir com isso. Se eles tivessem criado de fato um arco dessa nova personagem, onde o próprio público não saberia totalmente as intenções dela e os outros personagens fossem aos poucos descobrindo mais dela (sem aquela cena toda forçada no final de esmagadora), seria algo MUITO mais interessante de assistir e ela seria uma personagem muito mais interessante. Não só isso, como acho que levar essa característica dela pra frente poderia levar a muitas interações interessantes: tanto ela quanto a marinette mentindo pra esconderem quem são de verdade, ela mentindo pra se adaptar enquanto a kagami detesta mentiras desse tipo num geral, e principalmente: ela mentindo pra se adaptar e a lila mentindo pra ganhar atenção. Todos esses paralelos tinham grande potencial pra serem explorados, e conseguiriam de forma completamente NATURAL irem aos poucos introduzindo ela mais e mais na narrativa se escrevessem ela como uma "rival" da lila em sua essência: não alguém que quer acabar com mentiras, desmascarar elas ou que odeia elas, mas sim alguém que TAMBÉM mente, mas aprendeu (ao longo da narrativa) a não fazer isso "pro mal", e que sabe identificar essas mentiras da lila e, acima de tudo, mentir pra EVITAR as situações caóticas que a lila cria. A lila tá mentindo? A zoe não vai tentar desprovar as mentiras, mas sim COMPLEMENTAR elas de forma que a marinette e/ou outras pessoas não sejam prejudicadas. O que a lila vai fazer? Dizer que é mentira? Sendo que tudo que ela mesma falou também é? A dinâmica podia ser incrível, mas infelizmente foi uma característica quase que abandonada da personagem.

E é por isso que eu discordo bastante de todos que falam que "a zoe não serviria pra nada na narrativa em qualquer situação, e por isso devia ser removida por completo". Ela poderia servir sim e, inclusive, tinha MUITO potencial. Existia um universo onde os arcos de zoe e chloe seriam perfeitamente combinados, um afetando o outro, mas com ambas personagens ainda sendo elas mesmas e tendo seus próprios arcos individuais. Por mais que a zoe tenha tido uma introdução que deixe claro o motivo (ruim) da existência dela, AINDA tinha como transformar ela numa ótima personagem. Mas como sempre, não foi o caso, e temos o que temos atualmente :/

I’M BACK EVERYONE!

Hello everyone! It’s me, Muggle-Born-Princess and I just wanna say that I’m officially back from my 1 month hiatus!

It honestly feels really great to be back on here. I know I have a lot to take care from answering questions in my inbox to writing my Chloe and Zoe AUs on @pro-bee-sisters to posting more content on my art and writing blog. 

Speaking of content, I do wanna point something out: I’m really sorry to say this, but after Season 5 of Miraculous and the Awakening movie, I am officially gonna be done with the show for good. I’m really sorry to those who only followed me for Miraculous content only, but it’s the truth. After hearing about how the season has been so far with multiple retcons, terrible writing choices, and character flanderization 24/7, I think it’s about time I say goodbye to the show. 

But, 

That’s not gonna happen anytime soon! 😊

Yep, even though I will be closing the book on Miraculous, I won’t do it immediately for the following reasons:

1. I will be rewatching the whole series before I start S5 as a whole just to see what aged poorly or what still holds up. (I think we all know the answers to those both. 🙄)

2. Once I start Season 5, I plan to do some multiple rewrites and AUs for it. Mainly for my second arc for The Lost Miraculous, despite that being in progress still.

3. Speaking of rewrites and AUs, that’s the other thing I wanna do before I leave the show for good. I especially wanna do my AUs involving Chloe and Zoe (i.e. The Queen Bee and the Vesperia & The Bee Sisters Duo!); some Chlonette in there because they’re my now my OTP (i.e. Bug & Wasp Game); and some other characters that deserve focus and potential too (i.e. A Fox and Her Club which features Lila and Sabrina as a duo; Pink and Purple Love Square which involves a Love Square between Rose/Pigella and Juleka/Purple Tigress)

4. I am super excited for the Awakening movie! The trailer and animation look so promising and since Astruc himself will not be apart of it whatsoever, it gives me hope that maybe the show will get back on its feet and if not, then we can officially call the movie the new canon if it’s any good! 

I also do wanna point out that I also wanna focus on other fandoms I’m a part of and do more work for them. (i.e. Super Mario, Total Drama, Monster High, etc...) That’s why I also have my art and writing blogs, so I can focus more on those than Miraculous. Don’t get me wrong, I will still do fanwork for Miraculous, but I also wanna expand myself to other interests just to see if anyone else is interested. 

Now that brings me up to this:

Will I stop following MLB-related blogs? 

Well, that depends. I do have a lot of Miraculous-related blogs I adore (@immaturityofthomasastruc; @miraculousbeezcentral; @emdoddles;  and @a-chlolix-blog being my Top 4), but here’s the deal: If they’re still active, then I will still follow them just for their content. However, if they end up retiring from the show just like me, then I don’t see the point of still following them. 

It’s been a really long run being a part of the Miraculous fandom, but I think it’s about time I say goodbye to it. It had a very long run for about 8 and a half years with 5 seasons, 124 episodes, 2 specials, an upcoming movie, and more to come. I say it did good for what it became.

Which leads me to my final question:

What’s gonna happen to me now that I will be done with Miraculous? 

Well obviously, I still will make fan content for it and sometimes, you will see me with a Miraculous avatar on here to dA to AO3. But, as I said, I will not only focus on other fandoms and expand them even more with their own fan content, but I will also be making a poll asking my followers what’s the next magical girl series I should explore next. 

As much as I had my problems with Miraculous itself, I will admit that it did give me a new outlook on the magical girl genre in general, and it made me really happy to see that I can learn to understand what the genre is all about, and what made it so popular to begin with. 

All in all, while I will miss those who I befriended in this fandom, I need to move on and find out what other new things that are out there that I will like~
