learning new skills is FUN. (<- actively banging head on table)

#ok i AM having fun but also look at all my sad failed/test signatures :(((#im going to have to figure out how to recycle these cuts there are simply So Many #this doesn't even include the stay random fucksd up pages i have as well #and trust me there will be more bc i have to figure out how to fix the margins on a typeset that i didn't make #i don't even want to think about that anymore though #on the bright side!!! i only have like one thing left before i have reached the point with stl that i can actually OFFICIALLY #print all of the signatures!!!!#I've returned to only doing 1 book as I've i fixed that margins the page count webt from 931 pages to 707 pages :'))))#which is HUGE #cus eiat is 718 pages currently and i was only going to do 1 book for it so!!!#also need to figure out how to.... embroider........ for that one.........#bc naturally i love making things hard for myself <3 #anyways #I'm going to take a break from using my brain now #shh ac #adventures in bookbinding

A SOLID THREE SPENT SOLELY ON TWEAKING COMPOSITION AND COLOR BALANCE UGH.#I really wanted a Catholic stained glass window vibe for this one #but I didn't like the look of black outlines on everything for a real stained glass aesthetic.#Also first time coloring in CMYK (i thought I might want to print it) and man it is a headache.#Before I'd just color in RGB and go fuck it whatever happens happens but it's time to grow up... it's time to learn how to do it right #so yeah my signature colors aren't there! because cmyk is the devil! but it looks nice anyway I think.#So excited to see how this all ends I want weirdos to stick together soso bad

The bookbinding project is done!

The process:

#bookbinding #book binding #books #DIY #crafts #yall this book needed so many steps to bind its unreal #and i half cheated on the cover cause i didnt have the stuff to add title to a bookcloth so i diy the cover with printer paper and tons of #glue #to make it shiny #and then the cardboard ofc #im kinda afraid its gonna melt all over come summer but ehhhhhhh #alea iacta est #anywyas this was so fun!!!! to make!!!!!#truly 99 different crafts in a trenchcoat #first and last steps not shown cause i forgot #anyways the pages are sewn together in signatures and then glued with added gauze for more stability #and the endpapers are thick papers #i had to print the title on the front endpaper cause i forgot to add a page in the pdf and it got glued to the cardboard whooops #renegade bindery

we are having extremely comical and nigh catastrophic IT issues at work rn but my coworker and i have mastered tag team check printing. #girlssupportinggirls

#the short version is that her user profile is somehow broken since updating her password #so whenever she prints a check the CFO's signature isn't on it #and it's been like this for like 2 weeks and IT can't figure out how to fix it #and then i was previously printing to my other coworkers printer but some of my checks just weren't printing at all #and IT did not help me at all but after some troubleshooting it seemed to be my connection to that specific printer (women in STEM)#so i switched to printing to the other printer where i also print all my coworkers checks once she assigns the check numbers #and it's all working now but it is convoluted and stupid

ngl you could reverse what's on front and back for this and it would still be cool. ALSO there could be another border line in yellow and it would look nice cause the shirt is in purple

i feel like the shirt color for this is probably best as red (cause it matches the two color vibe) although i could see navy or light blue. if you wanted yellow it'd have to be more mustard so it would stick out from the white, and idk if mustard is an appropriately danger days color :/

WHY DID I WRITE SO MANY TAGS WHAT,

#i feel like some revenge stuff utilizing symmetry with 2 guns would be cool #and blood...#like theres so much cool imagery to draw from #in bullets you got like. bottles of alcohol and bullets and guns but also catholic and vampire imagery-#urban destruction. angels. ghosts in the snow. whatever that means.#revenge has cool imagery too but none of it is coming to mind #dont even get me started on tbp stuff #so many things are going on with tbp you could make such cool symbolic designs #and the thing about danger days is that it was developed as a comic first so there's like a HUUUGE amount of visual references #and REALLY specific stuff like character names and places and slang #not to mention all the killjoy's signature items those would also make great symbols #like imagining a shirt wiht just all the killjoy masks on it 😋😋😋😋#thinking like pop art printed vibe #ughhh theres even stuff just from the mvs that are good enough to go on shirts #like the one scene from na na na with all the blasters in a grid #oooooh and you could have a front/back dichotomy with bli/killjoys #bli is also very visual and has a lot of logos and symbols and stuff #GHGJSHGJS IMAGINING THAT ONE SCENE WITH THE VINYL WITH THE SPIDER ON IT ON A SHIRT #SO COOL I CANT #art #traditional art #mcr

Trying to wrangle my siblings into signing the shared Father's Day card is proving fucking nightmarish. Next year they can all go and fucking swivel and I am writing a solo card From Me.

#so far I have signed it and my youngest sibling has #who crossed the xxx next to their signature out to turn them into a noughts and crosses game because they are allergic to sentiment I guess #I used a fucking brush pen to hand letter 'Happy Father's Day' on this card‚ asshole #my youngest sister has been asleep all day so I will have to catch her at some point tomorrow #and my middle sister has been instructed to take a picture of a message #so that I can print out a 2x3 inch photo with my Hi-Print and stick it down in the card #she said that she was 'on it like a car bonnet' when I gently reminded her at 1.30 p.m. today #no message has been sent at the time of writing this post (11.50 p.m.)#so I have sent a second gentle reminder #I will pp my final sister in because she can't write #so she is the only one who is in my good books basically #in re: excuses for not signing the card (in a way that is not ironically detached and arch)
